Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]
Commander replied to Chim's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Henry continued heading towards the exit, but Rosie picked up Raiza's dad's last line and froze there. She knew that meant trouble for the girl and she rubbed against her master pointing back at the scene. "It's none of our business and it's probably better this way. I've been around Raiza a little bit too much lately," he simply replied. These words made Paradox halt and revolt. She pulled on Henry's pant leg trying to drag him back to the girl. "No means no." The little suddenly looked like she was about to cry which finally got to her trainer. "Fine. But only this one time." He turned back making his way over to the little group. "Good evening, Mr. Marson I presume." Henry gestured in a polite manner. It felt really weird and a bit unnatural to be this nice and formal. "We had a few exciting fights this round and I'm sure you're happy Raiza made it into the top 8, even further than I did. That's quite an accomplishment especially when she had to face off with that huge disadvantage. Not very many people, myself included, could be put into a situation and manage to pull off a victory. I'm sure you're quite proud of her battling skills." Henry honestly had no idea what was going on, but changing up the subject was the only idea he had in mind. Rosie had a different objective. Being the only one of the six who knew the situation, she looked over Raiza. Instead of giving her a cheerful and energetic expression, she looked at her with a bit of a frown on her face. She turned her head back to Raiza's father and then back to her. She knew that the truth had to come out and knew what was going to happen. She'd been with Henry's father during those first few months at school and witnessed a completely different side of him...one Henry knew little about. If her father was anything like his, perhaps this might be the best time as any to admit the truth. Raiza didn't know any of that though. All Rosie could do is look back at Raiza hoping something could get through.- 1255 replies

The same thing pretty much happened to Luna. LUNA OF ALL PEOPLE! You could join Luna and Red if you want to get an interaction in, but yeah might want to try to find someone solo or in a group of two instead of 16 players all trying to say something at once. Edit: I feel so sorry for Darklight being bombarded with all these posts tagged with Arial in it.
-
[Red] "I ain't too sure. I only got a glimpse of one. Maybe I should just explain the story." Luna took a deep breath knowing she'd have to explain that story. "You see it all started out while I was having a drink with the bad boy over at the bar. Apparently, lots of random and strange stuff has been happening lately. We asked a couple questions, but the bar tender wasn't going to let up until one of us dueled his gorilla friend in a battle. When the bad boy was about to face off, his card became shiny and started glowing. This caused the gorilla to run through the door. We were going to chase him when he said something that got my attention. I was about to pull the bad boy back, but he decided to run off leaving me alone...in a bar. Seriously, he could have had some decency. So back at the bar, I met the janitor and something about cards being found everywhere and whatnot. Apparently, some nutty math professor at our school knows something about it. When I tried talking to him, he just ran away like a maniac. And people think I'm nuts." Finishing with her story, Luna looked over at Red and back at the card. "So yeah, I'm on a hunt for nutcases or something. I don't get why people act so wacky around these things. Their just pieces of paper. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention something about the end of the world or whatnot. That was one heck of a ride yesterday."
-
[Red] Luna was taken a bit aback by the girl recognizing her name. She didn't even know who this girl even was...yet she somehow knew her name. "Uh...can't say I know who you are, Reddie. Still, must be some kind of destiny if you know me...or are you stalking me. It's okay. I'm always open to new things." Luna stopped her innuendo when she saw the card sitting on the table. "Ohhh, you got a shiny too. Honestly, where in the bloody heck are people getting these things? I mean they can't just come out of nowhere."

I actually don't know what her hair color is (I guess it could be brown). She's blonde it Ymora which makes it a bit of a headache to remember. Brown it is then I guess. Edit: Well if you look at that, I guess it is brown, but I kind of mistook it as a very light shade of orange or something. Light brown to be exact.

Pokémon Academy: Ch 3: Winter Cup [IC]

As Gypsy returned to the waiting room, Henry picked up the Poke Ball and placed it back on his belt. He then turned to Raiza, "Well that was easier than I thought it would be. At least nothing bad seemed to happen. I don't know about you, but I'm going to head out for a little bit. I need to keep this ghost as far away from machines a little bit and likely start training up Paradox." Paradox ran circles around Henry excited about the news. When Henry began making his way, the Togepi followed behind him, make sure to be on her best behavior. Something like this didn't just happen everyday and she didn't want to lose this rare opportunity.- 1255 replies

I figured that out three seconds before your post and made an edit. Luna is just gonna meet up with her fellow ginger (I swear I'm not purposely trying to avoid the plot). I gave Klive and Robert the opportunity of joining Luna on a quest to kidnap a professor, but nooo! You guys wanted to join in on the investigation group.
-
[Red] Luna noticed that Klive and Robert went over to this ever growing group in the classroom. This large group somewhat intimidated her and she didn't feel like trying to intrude. She didn't even know what they were talking about as one spoke out right after another. She simply just made her way through the door and into the cafeteria. When she reached her destination, she noticed a girl writing something in a book. She quietly made her way over to the girl, grabbing her attention by grasping her shoulders with her arms. "You look a little tense there. You writing a last minute essay or something. I hope you get it done in time. I remember the last time I turned in an incomplete paper. Those were dark times."

Maybe you could pull something like a Batman and Joker where despite that killing the Joker would make his life so much easier he can't. You could say that it's against his nature, but the truth is he can't live without the Joker and killing him would make him no better than the Joker (or something like that). Not too big of a batman fan so I can't remember all of it, but I think you get the idea. Now how does this pertain to Mareek. Well, his father was murdered by Galen I believe. If Mareek killed a Pokemon, he'd be no better than his brother. Maybe you can use something out of my ramblings, but who knows what. Could make for an interesting conflict later on.
-
Sorry for intruding on your team a bit Azery, but why Moxie instead of Intimidate. When I think about it they both have uses though Moxie is not nearly as good as it would be in competitive battling (sweeps pretty much don't exists so it'd likely only be able to pull the ability off once in a fight).
-
I can understand that. Part of the reason I evolved Rosie this early was because she doesn't really learn anything useful until the late 40s, but it was mostly to make her stick out as the strongest before fulfilling her true role to the team. She's definitely going to fall behind the others in stats once they evolve, but she's practically an asset to the team.
-
The caps don't really matter to me right now since Henry is going to have a full team well something like a full team. I'm hoping it is straight up 30 though because that'll give me room to use all six of them even despite some of them having huge level gaps (Paradox is still going to be a Togepi though) from the cap. And Tacos, you don't have to evolve Feroces yet. You can always evolve a Pokemon a bit later because Mareek is about the only one here who's going to be able to run a fully evolved team next chapter.
-
You do realize Day 1 is over when your fight is finished. Though I guess that technically doesn't matter. Still, it's better to lose and learn than to have your character win all the time. It's subtle, but you can see Henry learned a few things from his match against Ryan when fighting Danielle. And battles is a term that goes beyond simply having your Pokemon fight each other.

Darklight, pink can be a manly color. Just ask Dunban. He has a girly sounding flower attack, but it is the manliest attack in the game. Blossom Dance!
-
Easiest way to avoid Metagaming is to put yourself in your characters shoes and figure out what they would and wouldn't know. Luna can get a little out there so she might be able to figure something out, but not know the name of it. As for the people having a bit of trouble learning, this parody of a DnD style game is actually a good way to learn what to do and what not to do in RPing. I loved watching these when I was younger.

Mewtwo comes out tomorrow. Who's ready?

This and FFV need more appreciation (though FFIX is my favorite). I mean FFV gave us this:
-
[To Klive/Maybe Robert?] "Don't take me for a fool. I know Flargon 8 ain't made of marshmellows. It's actually made with a special..." She stopped when she heard something about an investigation group before looking back at Klive. "Don't tell me there are more people after the nutty professor. It's already hard enough as it is."

Henry (and Gypsy) The boy had made it to the waiting room when he heard Mareek and James's battle had begun. He noticed the Rotom floating around Brand making him completely forget about the field and introducing it. Henry was about to move out onto the field, but he hesitated for a moment. "It probably wouldn't be a good idea for me to step out there. I'd probably attract too much attention. Let's see..." Henry looked over to his Pokemon. "You're too young, you'd just get lost, and you're the one who started this whole mess. Well, Gypsy is the only one here I feel confident enough to send out there so...will you please beam him into his Poke Ball?" He tossed the ball over to the bug. Gypsy hated doing these small things, but seeing her comrades were a little too incompetent it looked like she had no choice. She gave Henry one last glare before heading out of the waiting room and onto the field. She made her way being close to the wall so that very few spectators would see and even notice her. The last thing she wanted was some kind of attention. Techie (and Gypsy) The Rotom just looked at the man surprised how calm he was right after the scare. Usually people would yell or try to attack him. This human was a bit different. As the man studied him, the Rotom mimicked him studying the man carefully. The Rotom thought it might be a good idea to give him a bit of a shock. He started to charge himself up when a red beam blasted him causing him to fade away. Gypsy was rather proud of herself for this accomplishment. She now figured out how to fully use these Poke Balls to get rid of pests like the Rotom in addition to when she learned how to sneak out of hers to eat a midnight snack. The Venomoth used her Psychic Powers to lift the ball back up and into her hand. Seeing as the job was done, she turned around and made her way back to the waiting room not caring what the hosts had to say.- 1255 replies

This, my friends, has turned from a battle of Java being superior to a game of wit and skill. It'll be interesting to see the outcome. Also, OH MY GOD THEY KILLED KENNY. YOU DASTARDS.
