  1. It can be either a Ducklett or a Drowzee. I have tested it and got Drowzee. These variations are new to the game which means any old save did not assign a number to determine what you got. If you start a brand new game, they will work properly as I have tested it. None of the events are super important (maybe one) as all of them but Zigzagoon can be found later on. I had to fix this on my current save and surprisingly all of the events worked without issue afterwards. It does require debugging your save though so you can either do it yourself in RPG maker or ask someone to do it for you.

  3. Okay, I know what the problem is because I had this problem earlier. This has to do with the variables not being in V14. If you really want them, I could set the variables to something random (I won't tell you what they are) so that you can do the event otherwise you will be unable to do the Pachirusu/Zigzagoon, Wingull/Panpour, Drowzee/Ducklett, and the Growlithe Egg events. (I would need your save). TL;DR Version: If you started playing with a previous version, you can't do these events.
  4. Like Esteian said, I assume it's like the Beta so it won't take that long. I'd get used to it though because you're going to go back and forth through a lot of different rooms. In fact, you'll go through every single one at least twice.
  5. The whole stone thing is likely something you find out within the first hour of the game. As for the game, I honestly don't know what to think. I knew it was going to be like the 3D models, but if they keep GTI's gameplay design, I'll have to pass. I mean it was like they were trying to make an overly tedious system even more tedious to the point I never want to touch it again. The story is worth watching imo, but it's not worth the horrible design. Now let's look at the new one. We already know all the Pokemon will be included, but the cinematics really make me worried. In all the previous titles, only a handful of 5 legendaries took a big part of the story while the others were simply bonus bosses. With this big emphasis on Legendaries, I think it's going to kill the plot. There is such a thing as too many characters and a combination of townsfolk combined with what seems to be at least 15 legendaries involved (and likely 5 that won't be revealed) characters are going to become even more shallow (or a plot that is twice as long as EoS). I'm just basing this on previous games in the series and I don't see this working...well. I'm a big mystery dungeon fan and played all of them (and yes, I like GTI even though it's disappointing). I just have mixed feeling about this game. EoS really help correct some faults in the Explorers series so I hope this game does the same for GTI. I can pretty much guarantee you and the partner bonding will be well done, but I cannot say for the rest of the story. It'll likely be worth buying though...I just hope they don't screw up with this whole legendary concept.

  8. Oh politics is a tricky issue. Such a frail system that is so easy to corrupt. The one I created for an idea was really nothing more than a cover-up for a dictatorship (similar to Palpatine and the Senate). Not sure how you designed yours, but I'm going to take a guess and that it's a slow and not very effective system where most people are against changes.
  9. Don't worry about me. I have plenty of things I could be doing at my house. I mean my parents had me clean my room. And I'm also taking summer classes so I do get tied up a lot more than I used to. Still, I'm not sure what position the others are in.

  12. Sorry for being so quiet, but I feel I should chip in about this. I mean you can keep that whole breeding concept idea, but let's keep all of the concepts subtle for the time being. The thing about suppression is that it can be happening to someone, but they might not even realize it or consider it normal. Very few people question the norms in a world so you can just base it off of that.
  13. Nina had a nice meal before making her way back to the dorm rooms. She took a little detour trying to find her new partner. It was kind of difficult considering she already forgot the name. Geeze Nina, you screwed up this time. How could you forget her name again already? She looked around again still not seeing the girl. There must be something really wrong with my brain. Usually, I don't forget a name unless it's been a month or so. She walked around one last time still not seeing any sign. There was no point in staying so she went back to her dorm room. When she arrived, she reached into her pocket searching for her key. It wasn't in her normal spot so she checked her other pocket seeing it missing there as well. "Shit! Not this again." Nina frantically patted her pockets hoping by some miracle it'd appear out of nowhere. This defeat was too much as she gently banged her head against the door again and again. The torture of being trapped outside her nice, comfy room all because she couldn't keep a stupid key.
  14. Probably my fondest memory had to be from a Colosseum Nuzlocke. I was at Venus and I honestly thought I was going to lose half my team to Suicune's surf. I declared it was impossible to catch a Full HP Suicune on the first try. Normally, I have a policy for Poke Balls only, but I said screw it and threw a Dive Ball. The RNGoddess felt like trolling me again and sure enough the Suicune was caught in the one and only Dive Ball I had. If only I had a pic of my face at the time. It was priceless.

  19. I guess I could also give you an example of what a boss design kind of would look like. Generally, I prefer a bit of story behind each boss. I'll give an example from both the project that's coming up (it's a minor spoiler) and a late one from my canceled Fire Emblem RP. Pokemon Explorers Even with that shortened Bio, you can tell there's a lot more to this than a simple boss battle. I can't reveal what it is due to huge spoilers, but I'm sure there will be some ideas. It's also an example of a scripted battle that the outcome will generally result the same way. If I were to give this to the co-host though, I'd reveal a bit more info regarding the story behind it. And here's the Fire Emblem one. This is one of the Five Onishian Generals who were going to be very difficult checkpoint bosses throughout the RP:
  20. As a writer, I do not believe in discussing whether or not an idea is good or bad until it is fully developed. Even then, I say little about it. Plot always start with one or two simple ideas that take time to build. You can't write a good story in a day. Actually, I say usually a month (I tend to spend 3-4 months developing the frameworks of mine). Don't throw ideas at us as we are "not allowed" to answer. Let it set a week or so, then if you need help, present it to one of us (or an interest check) and we'll see whether or not it should go through.
  21. I can understand that. I ended FE due to the mess it was getting into, but I have a newer project coming up, but I'll certainly make time for this one. And yes Dobby, we'll get back on track with the partner thing with each other (god...that was worded horribly). And I guess I'll be dropping Battlegrounds then (and getting rid of this pic). I'm actually a bit happy in a way. Summary of my time in that RP: MADE. ME. MISS. THIS. RP. SO. MUCH.

My update will have to come later though or tomorrow. And Kosh, you officially beat me in longest time to update (it took me a month and a half for my own RP).
  23. Magneton, Mareep, and Budew are all excellent choices in Reborn. Each has a different function so I can't give specifics as Roserade is frail, but it can one shot just about anything with Petal Dance. Magneton is a great special tank who easily outclasses the gears and Ampharos is a bit of a mix with better attack options than Magnezone.
  24. Agreed. If you need help or a co-host/veteran, you're going to have to prove that this isn't a waste of their time. Writers like myself turn their head when presented with something like this due to being far too vague and unorganized. I already got dragged into something like this and have it all thrown into my hands, I'm staying out so that it doesn't happen again. As for when it comes to plot, you have to be original. Using plot points from previous games will just make it predictable and boring. The only thing you should be using from them are elements such as the personas and the setting which is placed in modern time. Another thing you can use is a school setting like 3 and 4, but don't use things such as Bosses from the game or recreate a death in a similar manner to one of the things in the franchise.
  25. I'm with the others as it does indeed need a lot of work before some of the wiser players will get involved. Huk just made an interest check today and that's a spectacular example of how munch info is truly needed to start a successful RP. As for the planning, Thomas wanted to do something like that, but I chucked many of his ideas out the window and watered down all the persona that was left. I already had to make a cast of 50 well done characters and I didn't feel like creating another 50 characters that would be dull and uninteresting.
