Totally not making this post because I was asked to. Alright, now that we actually have progress on the game, I'd like to get feedback on some stuff for the next release. The more the merrier, but I'd like a minimum of thoughts on the leaders (such as Corey on the mist field being way too hard due to Pokemon XXX or Julia's XXX is pathetic and worthless due to XXX). Other bosses such as Rivals, Meteor Members, and Gangs are also appreciated. The more the merrier. As for Corey, he has two completely different teams (They only share Skuntank and Crobat). So if you want to face both, I'd prepare yourself ahead of time (Corrossive Mist is way harder imo). And please stop once you defeat Corey. We have Lapis blocked for the time being due to it being half finished.

My personal view of random trainers is more challenging training but to each his own. While were on the topic of random trainers, I'm going to lower any of the ones Jamak did so that I can get though the game a bit faster (and get rid of those Eviolites those Dusclops and Lampents). But yeah, they better be in the 20-23 range because Florinia's Cradily is only level 26 and her lowest is 23 iirc.

Florinia should be released pretty soon along with a lot of trainers whose levels are upped a bit. But yeah, be thankful you didn't have to go through Jamak's original version of the Academy. I wanted to curl up in a ball facing all those threats that were 4 levels above me (there was a trainer with a freaking Quagsire that was 26). Some of the leaders are going to be a little buggy due to Essential's shitty AI system. Julia stays pretty constant but Florinia sometimes derps a bit due to reading types. I now understand Kuro's pain in wanting to rewrite the whole AI system. So bear with me the she might underperform. (That doesn't mean she's easy though).

I finally got to testing Julia and it's...actually really well done (I considered Helioptile and Stunfisk if it was too easy). OML that Magnemite swept me on my first attempt so I had to level up to 18 and run a Mightyena. I'm not sure how I feel about Flaafy, but it's going to stay for now. So yes, the link on the first page is the official Julia fight as of right now. (I guess I'll give you praise for thinking of Flaafy).

Replace that with Kiki to get Ghastly. Seriously, I really like the way that looks. But yeah, Correy has two ENTIRELY DIFFERENT TEAMS so the bridge scene may contain a little inconsistency depending which version you fight (though I'm leaning more towards the field one). We might make a combination as well as add Croagunk due to the events available. That's more than a Jamak side than my side. And Jamak, why in the hell did you make Corey's Crobat Level 37? I swear it's like you're trying to kill me. But yeah, I'm working on leader on boss testing with Reborn's current Pokemon line-up. There's about 10 possible Pokemon for each leader so I don't want to release anything public (or even a beta tester) until I have a better idea what the final teams will be (and how unstable the leaders are right now).

Some leaders do...other leaders, not quite so much. The field effects do help a lot of them out (and I could go on and on how much I fell in love with them when designing the hardcore versions) and really bring out some unique fighting styles. I do like seeing new player's thoughts because when you play Reborn enough, the leaders seem to be "easy" compared to someone who's never faced it (Julia kicked my butt 5 times before I defeated her the first time). And Vinny, yes the AI will do stupid things, but tbh, there was a test on a certain new Noel Pokemon in hardcore and it surprisingly used the right move 80% of the time (and I thought it was going to attack spam). Singles AI performs very well, but it isn't perfect. Doubles AI is a bit...idiotic sometimes which is why I had to get rid of a certain move on a certain Illumise (cough*Dazzling Gleam*cough). Shelly and Radomus are the only ones who are really hurt by this.

In Reborn Hardcore, don't even bother trying the Toxic Spike strategy on Florinia. I made sure to get rid of that flaw on her team.

That brings back memories of 2006 (or somewhere close to that). I was down at my Grandparents house when a Tornado passed by his house about a mile away (or two, but I know it was really close). Thankfully, the road he lives off of was designed to keep water off it, but right off the intersection it was completely flooded. That was a long week for me. Anyways, glad you're safe and that's quite an interesting story.

Just a quick little thing: we're going to be giving this project an official and unofficial release. The official release will include everything such as event changes and trainer updates. The unofficial release is going to include very few of those things, but will basically be the modified leaders/difficult fights. I'll be posting pics of my progress as I make my way through the unofficial release. (I already showed something in the status update today).

What is wrong with humanity? This'll probably be my last post as well since I don't want anything to get spoiled. The only game I spoiled was smash bros for the roster...since I wanted to know if the leaked list was true. I'd advise for no one to post anything from the leakers here though.

I don't know when Jamaka will release the project, but I've been working on a lot of the gym leader designs because I feed off of your tears. I tried keeping their fighting styles so it feels like you're facing a tougher version of them. The difficulty is going to vary (which is why feedback is needed), but Charlotte is pretty much just going to go back to her pre nerf self (minus the second Ninetales) with a few little things to amp her up. And no I'm not giving Typhlosion Energy Ball

You could always add this to the miscelaneous section so that it goes up 1% I could believe it'd take this long to get rid of ellipses. I mean there's the main story, which is a lot, Signs, and all those miscellaneous trainers holding more references then I can remember. I can't believe I missed the Pride and Prejudice one when it was right in front of my face.

Statistically speaking, Blaziken trumps the rest of the starters, but it honestly comes down to playstyle. Each of the starters brings something a little bit different and all of them have their uses. For example, Squirtle is a very good early game tank that can survive just about anything. Combine it with Leech Seed and watch as that impossible Pokemon slowly dies (looks at Garchomp). Swampert outclasses it type and stats wise, but Blastoise learns Iron Defense and Protect which are a godsend against Pulse Pokemon. So in reality, one man's weak Pokemon would be another's strong, but they all are good. I can assure you that, but some have better and more uses than others such as Greninja.

I joined just shortly before Ep VIII's release and I remember that title so well. Aya the brick wall followed shortly after Serra the even bigger brick wall. (There was also a Mismagius on the title screen at the time). I wasn't very active until XII-XIII so you probably don't remember me too well (and I had a hiatus as well). I'm a pretty old member and I'll probably still be around during and after the final release.
