  1. To accomplish what he's trying to accomplish with the Nashor's Tooth I'd say Wit's End makes a better fit but that's pretty situational.
  2. Just finished Xenoblade Chronicles. What an awesome game that was. My only regret about it was not discovering it sooner.

    1. Jan

      Jan

YES. It's my favorite game of all time. So glad you liked it!

  3. Be a man. Your W gives you extra healing off your autos the more HP you lose, so if you think that you'll have a close fight, go for it. Also remember that your passive gives you extra Attack Speed as you lose health.
  4. Memories of Season 2 EDIT: With Spellblade however (might be for other named effects), it runs on a priority system of sorts, NOT whatever you bought first. Lich Bane's Spellblade will always take priority, then Iceborn Gauntlet, then Trinity Force, then regular Sheen. Typically if I find myself wanting both, I'll get Iceborn, then forego Triforce in favor of Statikk Shiv, aka the "poor man's triforce". BoltBeam is OP. EDIT 2: GIVE 'EM THE CRABS
  5. As one might expect, Rek'Sai's VA is going to remain uncredited, however it was confirmed that her voice was done by a Rioter on the sound team.

  6. I think you'd get a kick out of playing Darius.
  7. Crit Darius is ridiculous with his ratios. I was doing so much damage at 30 minutes that I essentially forced MF and Syndra to build Guardian Angel immediately. Wouldn't recommend this build in like a ranked game or something, but I got fed enough off of Wukong that it was a good way to go. Man that was fun.
  8. I recommend finding the translations for Mother 3 and Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade and playing them. They're both great in their own right.
  9. aight, bringing in my friend, a Diamond Swain player:
  10. Braum skips buying Mercury's Treads against a Veigar and decides to itemize against the inexistent physical damage god bless
  11. TSM loses to a jungle TF. God bless the Unicorns of Love.

    1. ShatteredSkys

      ShatteredSkys

great now im going to have jungle TF in all my games

  12. Nevermind seeing a good Meta Knight, I don't recall seeing more than one Meta Knight overall in competitive. (Which is one more than the number of Wii Fit Trainers I've faced.) Probably the perception that he was "overnerfed" might lead to him not seeing as much play. I dunno.
  13. K, so. Legend of the Poro King What is this game mode? It's a blind draft played on the Howling Abyss, and it retains the original goal of taking out the enemy towers, inhibitors and then Nexus. There are a few twists however. The Poro King One of your summoner spells allows you to throw poros at the other team. The first team to pelt the other ten times summons the Poro King to fight for their team! Pretty damn big, as you can tell. The Poro King at first seems to be just a massive, glorified minion that is immune to CC, but he does some cool stuff: He's very tanky, albeit does very little damage Allied champions in the radius shown above gain bonus Health, Mana, and Energy Regeneration Tossed enemy poros that enter the radius are automatically drawn to him Allies may cast To The King! to instantly dash to him Poros fly off of him and deal damage when they land Once summoned, the Poro King deals damage in an area when he lands (pretty much Grand Skyfall). When dispelled, his team's Poro Counter returns to 0, meaning that they must hurl ten more poros to get him on their side again. The enemy thus gets more than enough time to summon him for themselves! On a side note: As long as the Poro King is active, no poros tossed can count towards the ten poros needed to summon the Poro King. This goes for both the team that the Poro King is with, and the team that he's against. Summoner Spells You will not be using the standard summoner spells. Instead, you get two new ones! Poro Toss (20s cooldown): Throw a poro a very long distance in a direction. The first enemy hit takes true damage and is marked and revealed for 3 seconds. Upon hitting an enemy (aside from the Poro King) you may recast Poro Toss within the next three seconds to dash to that enemy (you are untargetable during the dash). If you do, Poro Toss's cooldown is lowered by 5 seconds. To the King! (10s cooldown): Dash to the Poro King (you are untargetable during the dash). You may only cast this when the Poro King is active for your team. What are people playing? Assassins, bruisers, and champs with considerable CC (such as Leona). My personal favorite champions to play in this mode are Pantheon, Lee Sin, and Wukong, but any champion can do well in this mode. The usual bans are Katarina, Pantheon, Wukong, Sona, Galio, and Fizz. Why do my poros look plain and that guy has a cool poro in a space suit? Well, that would be because he happens to have the Astronaut Poro summoner icon! There are five different Poro icons, and each will be sold during Snowdown for 250 RP (not sure if they will be available for purchase with IP). When you buy one, they will change the appearance of the poro in Legend of the Poro King, however the icons themselves are permanent once bought. Dragonslayer Poro: Astronaut Poro: Shadow Isles Poro: Battlecast Poro: Gentleman Poro: What is this music playing in the background? That would be more familiar to the veterans, as it's the music of the old Winter Summoner's Rift maps! Besides, the Howling Abyss music isn't the best when you're too busy chucking poros at each other anyway. Full Game Here's one from Redmercy.
  14. Personally, I'm going to suggest Jayce. Jayce is pretty much a do-everything guy with a poke-esque nature to him. You can also play him in any role you choose. Top, Mid, Jungle, even in the bot lane (although playing him support is tricky). I'd like to write more on Jayce but I can't be bothered. I'll link this instead: http://www.lolking.net/guides/111310 EDIT: Jayce just received a buff in today's PBE patch. All the more reason to pick him up.
  15. Thing with RoA is tankiness (somewhat) and AP in one item. 650 HP and 80 AP are nothing to laugh at. And being a close-up mage she appreciates such more than other mages like, say, Ziggs.
  16. I had Garen so scared after killing him two or three times by 10 minutes in that he refused to leave his turret at all... ...that really didn't help much, though.
  17. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/community/promotion/dark-horses-support-brand interesting little article to check out. Note that for those of you with a little extra RP, Cryocore Brand has been added to this weekend's champion and skin sale.
  18. You've posted your 419th, 421st, 423rd and 424th wins (Some TB ones in between, too). You need to chill out, bro. This is getting a little ridiculous, no? In other news, this is old, but: Despite my team overall doing well, that didn't mean that jungle Ashe in S5 didn't exceed my expectations. Been experimenting with a lot of different champions, even trying Alistar who felt pretty solid with Trailblazer. I feel like a number of bizarre champions can do much better jungling in the early game than before.
  19. Probably because Square decided to play nice for a bit. There were many reasons the track could have avoided being put in - Square came in and said nope (unlikely), they couldn't find a good place for it, or it didn't meet Sakurai's (or someone else's) liking. i will point out though, that Geno made a small cameo in Mario and Luigi: SS, the DS AND Wii versions of Fortune Street use a theme from SMRPG, and Mario Hoops and Mario Sports Mix were both co-developed by Square Enix and featured some classic Final Fantasy characters like the Black Mage.
  20. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm inclined to say she isn't that great. She can wreck face if she can flank without getting detected by wards n such, but otherwise getting to the team is difficult, since she is kited surprisingly easily. Having someone who can initiate for her (ex. Lissandra, Ashe, or Thresh) will make getting in range much easier.
  21. So, I've had the chance to watch some people play Rek'Sai and also had the chance to play as her a little bit myself. Here are my first observations: Rek'Sai's niche Sorta tanky disruptor with exceptional out-of-combat mobility and jungle clears. Pros Strong clear speeds and counterjungling As mentioned before, exceptional out-of-combat mobility with a global dash for an ultimate Decent at 1v1s early- and mid-game Resourceless Has sustain True damage with a 240% AD ratio? U w0t m8? Cons Falls off late-game Almost all damage is within melee range Poor scalings outside of Furious Bite Kiteable in combat Like Sion, everyone is alerted globally when Rek'Sai ults, and ca be seen dashing to a tunnel if enemy vision allows Rek'Sai's damage As you can probably tell, Rek'Sai has a bursty nature to her between what damage spells she has. Her burrowed Q, aka her tool to catch up with an enemy, is magic damage. However, the rest of her damage is Physical (except Furious Bite which deals true damage if her Fury is maxed) and scales with Attack Damage. Her burst also includes a number of autoattacks. Tunneling Rek'Sai's unique mechanic, Tunneling, is pretty cool. How it works is, when she is burrowed, she can create a tunnel which allows her to dash through walls n stuff, creating unique gank paths, escaping sticky situations, or just straight up taking a shortcut. The tunnels last for 10 minutes (similar to Teemo's shrooms) but can be stomped in by enemy champions, destroying them. their main purpose, however, is for Rek'Sai's ultimate, Void Rush. After a delay, Rek'Sai becomes untargetable(?) and quickly dashes to any of her tunnels on the map. This is the out-of-combat mobility, although allies and enemies will be audibly alerted (though they can't see you unless they see you zoom through their vision)! Standard build this is the kind of build that I noticed yielded the most success: Poacher's Knife w/ Warrior ench. Boots of Mobility Blade of the Ruined King Spirit Visage Randuin's Omen Warmog's Armor Rek'Sai is able to Rek the enemy jungle, making Poacher's Knife a natural fit. The enchantment should usually be Warrior, but if your team lacks a tank, you might want Juggernaut. After that, Boots of Mobility into Blade of the Ruined King should complete your mid-game core. BoM give nice movement out of combat and let Rek'Sai be anywhere she wants in seconds. Blade of the Ruined King is used very well for duels and ability to catch up to prey (through the active). When teamfights start, you can still be scrappy, but you gotta get tanky. The reason I recommend Spirit Visage over Banshee's Veil is that she heals out of combat, and that the increased healing synergizes with the out-of-combat Regen with Warmog's Armor. Randuin's Omen is the icing on the cake, and it's active strengthens flank initiations or helps follow up on initiated teamfights. I'll be adding more when I get more chances to play her!
  22. Comment on a picture of a looted store: The logic. Maybe with this man's sarcasm the people in the protest that aren't actually assholes will step aside and we'll see who the true dicks of society are.
  23. Yep, it's a new champ. http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/champion-reveal/reksai-the-void-burrower
