I mentioned that it needed to be taken elsewhere, yes, but also that it needed to be handled better. If the issue is people being attacked that's bigger than a bit of rivalry between opponents and should probably be taken to committee members and/or the staff. I'm not involved on either side but I can tell you right now that upvotes at the least should not be given as much value as they seemingly are; this is an organised event with six teams of at least 20 people so people rallying behind someone speaking up for them or on their behalf is not entirely surprising. Your post right after Jelly's has the same number of upvotes as his does. Yes, there is an underlying issue that has been a thing since before this but ultimately it's the same concept- a popularity contest where everyone upvotes something they agree with. I don't approve of the negative bias towards any given user and there have been two warnings handed out and a ton of unnecessary posts have been deleted from the other thread. And because no one else has said so yet as far as I can tell, I'm going to make it official here, regarding banter: Basically this means that we'd like it to be voluntary on both sides such that nobody who doesn't want to deal with it has to deal with it.
