The Premise

Within the kingdom of Aeyosal there lies an underlying sense of fear. Fear they may not see their family the next morning or the house where their friend used to live suddenly goes empty. There have been multiple cases of people disappearing and the numbers seem to only grow. No one knows who is responsible nor how they do it. The people go to their king for assistance, however, he provides little to no help in that regard. He speaks he's having all his available men look into the situation but goes no further. Though it seems most of his men go into protecting his recent project, a massive stone temple/tower of some sort. The guards around the area numerous and they block anyone from entering. No one knows exactly why the king is prioritizing the tower over the people's safety but he won't do it then someone has to. Within the town of Thoris, a town located near the edge of a large mountain surrounded by forests, the mayor has called a meeting for anyone willing to start a search party for the people responsible. But it seems not many people are interested in a wild goose chase as only ten people showed up to the meeting that day. However, it won't remain that way for long. Are you willing to personify one of the ten Seekers and find the source of this discord?

 

Greetings everyone, and welcome to my first attempt at hosting a FEF! or anything in general... Seeing as how this will be my first try I've decided to make a mini FEF to get a feel for it before I go in depth into making a RP. Thus the Reroll formula will be great in achieving this. There will be about 3 maps in total within this Reroll and I'll be setting all PC's to level 15 and making the max level 20. Though, as Rerolls usually entail I have already made the character sheets for the PC's and will distribute them randomly. I will be accepting a total of 8 PC's and I myself will be controlling 2 NPC's along the way. Without further ado, lets meet our adventurers!

Rules

We'll be going off of the FE Players handbook for the general rules, however, I will also be stealing borrowing SoC's rule changes since I'm not the type to go around balancing things.

 

The Handbook:

Balancing/Misc. Changes

 

General:

 

-Effective Damage is x3. Crossbows deal only x2 Effective Damage.
-Wind Magic is no longer effective against wyverns, thunder magic is.
-Sleeping units always wake up when hit. Sleep now forces dismounting on mounted units.
-People who use staves/performances autoequip a weapon if they have it in their inventory and can use it.
-Supports and Terrain grant Damage Reduction instead of Defence.
-Units equipped with staves can now counter-attack at 1 range using their strength stat. Staff Might is not considered and they cannot declare an attack with a staff.
-Hit and Crit rolls are separated.
-Critical % chance hard-capped at 85.
-CON no longer used to determine amount of inventory slots. Every unit have 5 inventory slots, unless special rules are applied ('Bag of Holding' of Rogue class, for example).
-You die when the 'KO' counter goes to 0. Death is permament.
-Automated Weapon Rank Progression: When you reach Level 10 in First Class, you choose one subcategory, either already ranked or from general category, and it gains 1 Rank up. The same happens when you reach Level 10 in Promoted Class.

Skills:

 

Sol (Free): After landing an attack or counterattack, you have (SKL)% chance of recovering HP equal to half damage done.
 
Luna (Cost): When making an attack or counterattack, you have a (SKL)% chance of ignoring half the respective defensive stat.
 
Ignis (Free): When making an attack, you have a (SKL)% chance of adding half STR to magic attacks and half MAG to physical attacks.

Class Buffs and Nerfs:

 

Archer:
"Sidearm" replaced with "Weakpoint": +5% critical if attacking an enemy that had attacked on the previous enemy phase.
 
Bandit:
‘King of the Mountain’ is removed. Replaced with “War Cry”: Whenever this unit achieves a critical hit, all enemies within a three tile radius attain the Fear status condition for three turns.
 
"Raid" is replaced with the "Capture" character skill.
Bard:
"Play" now only affects up to 2 adjacent units.
Dancer:
"Dance" now only affects 1 unit at 1-2 range.
Cavalier:
Subweapon categories are increased to C. ‘Reliable Attack’ has been changed to: If this character is ever on the winning side of the weapon triangle, they gain +25 Hit and +2 Damage instead of the usual bonuses. If this character is ever on the losing side of the weapon triangle, they suffer from -5 Hit instead of the usual penalties. Has no effect if this character is neutral in the triangle.

 

Knight:
Cannot take Bows. 'Hold the Line' changed to passively reduce the MOV of an enemy that enters a space adjacent to the Knight to 0.
 
Mage:
"Nature Spirits" is changed to "This skill can only be activated once per chapter. This character adds their strength stat to a stat depending on the subcategory of tome they have specialized in. (Wind = Speed, Fire = Magic, Thunder = Skill). At the start of each player phase, move one of those points back into its initial stat.
 
Monk/Nun:
‘Pious Veil’ can be activated as many times as desired, but only when the monk is not currently under the effects of Pious Veil. Additionally a monk may not attack on the same turn they activate Pious Veil.

 

Priest:
"Self Healing" is now based on half of magic.

 

Scavenger:
‘Scavenge Gold’ Will be removed due to money not being necessary
Weapon Proficients changed to C Subcats
 

Soldier:
‘Spear-Wall’ is removed. Instead they gain ‘Anti-Cavalry’: This character gains +5 Damage and +2 Defence against mounted units (including Wyverns and Pegasuses).

 

Thief:
‘Overdeveloped Sense of Self Preservation’ is removed. Gain ability to move after lockpicking.

 

Wyvern Rider:
“Dragon Scales” is changed to: “As long as this unit is at full HP, they gain +2 defense and resistance.”

 

Promoted Classes:

Hero (Both fighter and mercenary):
"Rough and Tumble" removed. Instead they gain: ‘Lend me your Strength’: If this character is within three squares of three or more allies, they gain +10 to Hit, Evasion, Critical and Dodge.

 

Swordmaster:
‘Faster than the Eye’ is removed.

Alright, since we've got more than enough submissions I've given out the characters. Thanks to all who signed-up, just trying means more to me then you can imagine. Unfortunately only 8 maybe chosen so I went with the most fair route possible and went with the people who submitted first. With the general slowness of how things have been going I'm going to start hardcore poking people to keep this thing alive. If a player still has yet to post I'll post for them. Granted if IRL things have tied you down I'll be a bit more lienant but if I am not aware I'll be doing some hardcore PC moving
