Her face scrunches with thought for a moment when he refers to himself as a captain.  "Of course. Captain Jack Attwater."

Sucrose cracks her fingers, her hands and feet glowing white for a moment.  While at a glance, they seem to have not changed at all, the proof is in the pudding, as she begins slowly climbing up the side of Jack's ship with her bare hands.

Five barrels of gunpowder and a heap of fuse is offloaded and packed under the snow at the entrance to the dragon's lair.  Just in time for distant roars to echo up the mountainside, signaling that the beast was approaching.

Sucrose finds herself on an organic ship, surrounded by a crew of organic creatures.

Sucrose giggles, clapping her hands at all of the different critters!

"Oh if this is a delusional state, then it is a very pleasant one." she mutters to herself before rubbing her hands together.

She goes around the ship, gently scratching each organic once with her fingernail to gather cell samples.

Sucrose gets varied reactions to their gathering of samples, mainly confused yelps, some flinching, and from one crew member that seems to have entirely wooden limbs, total non-reaction at first, but eventually once word gets around she merely gets confused stares normally followed by a pair of the organics looking to each other and shrugging. Meanwhile, the crew had been moving the ship out of sight of the cave and the beast itself, while Jack had hidden just inside, trying to avoid getting set aflame as soon as the dragon appeared hopefully.

The ship is moved behind a nearby peak to hide it from view.  Eventually the dragon flies towards its mountain home again.  It lands somewhere near the edge of the landing outside its cave, about 30 foot from the explosive trap.  It's just sitting there acting funny, smelling the air and generally making everyone nervous.

It looks towards the cave entry several times, but makes no effort to move towards it, instead roasting the whole sheep in its claw and occasionally taking bites.

Jack had been prepared up until he had to do something. Gods above that thing was bloody massive. Why in the depths of the seven seas did he decide to play bait for a dragon!? Still, he'd have to get it's attention eventually, and now was probably a good time to do so. "Hey you! Yeah, you ya scaly twat! I thought the smell was something rotting in this cave but I guess you've just rubbed off on it, eh!?"

Jack does what comes easiest to him. Namely, he backs further into the cave hurling insults. "Ooh, big scary dragon gonna come teach me a lesson!? Come on, I'll tan yer rotten hide and have ya guts for garters!" When the time is right, Jack of course sets off the trap.

As the dragon rapidly approaches Jack hears a rush of wind as the creature fills its massive lungs.  He jumps around the lip of the cave entrance just in time as a gout of flame almost as large as his ship rushes towards him, superheating the air and turning all the snow nearby into water.
Around that moment he hears the dragon suddenly stop, follow by a feint grunt and a deafening THUD from the muffled explosion.

Jack hears a distant rumbling.

Peaking around the corner Jack watches the dragon slowly pull itself up and stumble towards the cliff, huge powder burns along its skin and large patches of scales stripped clean.  The rumbling grows louder as he watches the Dragon throw itself off the cliff and take flight.

With a very loud cry of "Shit" Jack runs back around the corner, slipping a little on the newly melted snow before regaining traction and running for his ship, which should be approaching now. Looks like they were going to have to give chase, and the faster they did so the less likely they were to lose the beast.
