A shiny, new, slightly gimmicky, type of run.

I think the cottonee is new and used to be a grotle. Your team seems really good, and rather balanced. I think the casino pokemon might've changed as well as I don't recall any nidoran.

Yeah cottonee was grotle...too bad, because (as far as I remember from e15) the turtwig line is only obtainable from starter and you can find cottonee outside of calcenon city.

Alrighty, after a really long Haitus, I'm back!

After much thought, despite how useful he's been, we will be boxing Sonicette for Airy.

...Right AFTER beating Radomus. Airy will temporarily be replacing Lucky #6 for the duration of the Psychic Gym, because weaknesses, but after that, I will indeed be cutting down to only one Ground type.

I trained everyone a little bit, but I'm a bit further off of cap than I would like to be. Luckily, however, I recall Radomus being a slight pushover on my original file. Then again, so was Corey and we all saw how that happened on this run.

Airy is fully evolved, but otherwise no team changes. So, I venture through the chess puzzle, which is always fun, meanwhile questioning at what point Elias got out of Radomus' control, if he ever even was. And why he keeps the changed outfit after this. El and Radomus are all rather confusing, as I'm sure I've said plenty of times.

Anyway, the Chess puzzle was nice and fun, so I suppose that means what comes next is...

Team Vs. Radomus:

Sonicette Lv56

The Manbat Lv55

Mozilla Lv56

Peach Lv56

Airy Lv55

Brainfreeze Lv55

Opening variation set.

So, I learnt a cool feature about Reborn. I had The Manbat open up with Calm Mind. Which I believe, thanks to Simple, is +4 Sp.Atk & Sp.Def. I was expecting the usual message of Drastically which happens with +3 and above, but I instead got treated to 'The Manbat's Special Attack went way up!'

So yeah, I opened with Swords Dance on Sonicette and Calm Mind on The Manbat. So we're at +2 and +4. So, of course, I then followed with Earthquake and Psychic.

I did not realise Reuniculus was tanky enough to take a +2 Earthquake. I know Sandslash isn't the strongest pokemon, but wow. Luckily, for the second turn in a row, he opted for Focus Miss instead of trick room.

Now, Metagross took down the Manbat, but Sonicette is still going strong. Peach came out next because she can take about three Quakes from a +2 Sonicette. Together they got both Metagross and Malamar.

Which leaves Slowking and GG herself.

I'm assuming Radomus' levels got dropped a bit. I recall him being the first leader to break level cap, but GG appears to be AT cap here. I guess will be the first one, then. Which is a shame really, because doubles ai refusing to use TR means he's not that hard. Plus Sonicette is really strong.

Anywya, GG and Slowking both took a quake, and then knocked out Peach and Sonicette in vengeance. But they're low on health, so I'll be fine... Right?

...anyway, on to the second attempt.

Second attempt opens with the same pokemon. In fact, im basically trying the same strategy, but hopefully playing a bit better.

This one went even worse. Took out Gallade Early, but Focus miss didn't miss, so I also lost Sonicette early. Meaning the crux of my Earthquake spam strategy is dead so a new strat is needed. I sent Mozilla in expecting Metagross, and I was luckily very correct. He JUST survived a Flamethrower, but thanks to the brilliant judgement of a master chess player, ice punched Mozilla intead of The Manbat. I won't complain, but this ai is a bit... yeah.

Still, it worked for me because it means Radomus ate up his Hyper Potions. Hell, I'd argue this battle is going even better, despite the loss of Sonicette.

And then Reuniculus finally used Trick Room. Balls.

Luckily the remainder of his team is special, and The Manbat is on +6 Sp.Def, and Peach on +2 (Although thanks to the double Quiver, TR makes her slow as hell). So, my entire team sans Mozilla and Sonicette versus Slowking and Gossip Gardevoir. They got Peach, but both are now very low on health. Next turn, they got Brainfreeze, but we got GG. The Manbat is slightly untouchable thanks to Calm Mind Shenanigans. He is no longer a mere Manbat. Therefore Airy+The Godbat go to fight a yellow health Slowking.

Unlike the embarassing end to my first attempt, I did it! Millenium Badge get!

Vanhanen Castle is creepy with a lack of lighting and music. Just wanan throw that out there. And after everything in Astrae, only an idiot would trust Elias for a getaway, methinks. Sadly, the Player is apparently an idiot.

Oh Cain. "I don't go down without a fight. Or at least some sweet talk first."

Anyway though, out of the castle I go, meanwhile Cain namedrops El as E4. (Well, he tecnically only called him one of the Elite. Which means there's a possibility that he's Champ. But c'mon, why him when there's a far more obvious candidate in Victoria Lin Anna.)

Also dearie me, must Radomus TRY to make himself even more confusing? Suggesting he might seem suspicious but then brushing it off as nothing. Who even DOES that? He has the Amethys pendant, for goodness' sake. I'd really like that back.

And... huh. 'I once heard stories of these keys being purchased from a travelling merchant. I wonder who that could've been?'

I... had forgotten this line. Which changes the tone of the story quite a bit. He could be implying himself, or it could be a genuine question, hard to say, as it always is with him. But... There's a character somewhere who has more involvement in all this than we thought, selling these pendants to beging with. Perhaps Radomus, perhaps Shade... Who knows? For once, I don't have any real crazy theories.

Anyway, it was about now I realised I have entirely forgotten to do the Aqua/Magma gang quests. So prepare for some roflstomps next episode as I handle all that. As for this one, I'm going to find a TV and then wrap up, and I'll leave a poll as to which gang I should join.

Anyway, as for the TV:

Interview was with Aya. No interesting reveals, but damn was that funny. Aya calling police on the random talking pokemon that just appeared in her house, Gardevoir making a remark about Hardy, Aya attacking Gardevoir. That sure got a chuckle out of me.

As for the profile, this is the most helpful yet. It tells you what all her pokemon are, given that they're nicknamed, this is a rather significant boon. I remember my first battle with her on my old file was brutal. I got utterly slaughtered.

Anyway, that's all for now! Hopefully I'll be updating more regularly now, although I'm busy over the weekend so there won't be anything until Monday earliest. Which gives more time for the poll on the Gang stuff. Anyway, that's all for now!

Hey, glad to see all the people enjoying this! Well, due to popular demand, It looks like I'm joining the Aqua Gang. So I guess we'll open with some curbstompage.

All these Level 30 pokemon. I still haven't decided which battles to list my team for, but seeing as they're all going to be easy because I'm doing this 30 odd levels later than I should be...

Team for the entire Aqua Gang questline right up until 7th:

Airy Lv57

The Godbat Lv57

Peach Lv57

Brainfreeze Lv56

Mozilla Lv57

Lucky #6 Lv55

That should save time and space.

First thing I should point out, which I don't know is an event glitch or a text oversight, but even though Archer talks about meeting at night and after sundown, you can have the meeting whenever. Either that's intended and the text is wrong, or it's unintended and the event is wrong. Not that I'll complain because if I had to wait until night that's my plot progress entirely halted.

Y'know, part of me is unhappy about the number of shady things our character is forced to do to advance the plot why do I have to read the damn diary but, while I may feel bad about joining a gang, robbing a woman as unpleasant as Craudberry does put a smile on my face.

Darm was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power.

Break was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power.

Unsurprisingly, Ponyta wasn't shiny. Would've been nice if it was, because dat Rapidash (Although I have to say, while I do think the rainbow rapidash is brilliant, I prefer the black flames of the original shiny. Hell, the original ponyta shiny's blue flames make it one of my favourite vanilla Shinies fullstop.)

Next up, attacking their base.

Kriz & Nihil were easy, because #6 knows Earth Power.

I remember how I seriously struggled in my battle against Maxwell on my first file. So I take great pleasure in this revenge:

Maxwell was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power

Alright, now that's all dealt with, I'm heading down to 7th to continue with plot. ALso, seeing as I tend to comment on music, I'm not all too fond of Lapis Ward's music. I very much like 7th's though. Subtlety can make a lot of difference.

Even down in 7th, Darm was easy for the same reason as before.

Now, a brief detour to fight Craudberry. Who's pokemon are stronger than mine. That said,it wasn't too hard. Mozilla dealt with Victreebel, Brainfreeze dealt with Druddigon, and The Godbat dealt with Qwilfish. That was almost as satisfying as robbing her. Rain Dance get!

After buying all the pokemon, Arclight gave me a Lucky Egg, which is very much appreciated. Especially if any of them are Shiny (I've yet to check). This only makes me like him more. Cleaning up Reborn in his own way.

Now, onto a battle that might actually prove difficult.

I opened with Toxic Spikes, but only managed to get one layer up because i got unlucky on the confusion check. From there, Mozilla with Psychic was my go to guy. Ninetales insisted on spamming Extrasensory against Mozilla, so I had no trouble there. Between Poison and Psychic, Heatmor went down fast, although took of a chunk of HP with a Thunderpunch. I swapped to Airy for Houndoom, and took him down, but not without losing Airy in the process. Charizard took down Mozilla, Brainfreeze and The Godbat while sustaining heavy injuries, but Peach finished him off. Which left me with a +1 Peach against a Pyroar.

It didn't go well.

Attempt number 2 forgets Toxic Spikes, moving straight into Earth Power. Ninetales went down, with no damage to Mozilla and #6 still down. This time Heatmor chose Sucker Punch over Thunderpunch,so I lost Mozilla and Airy. The Godbat went up against Charizard, and i got lucky with a few flinches, so just managed to get him down. And then Houndoom took out The Godbat, Brainfreeze, and Peach in one fell swoop.

Attempt #3 opened with Two Calm minds from The Godbat, and, thanks to some Fire Blast misses, he took down Ninetales in two shots. A lucky crit had Heatmor down in one shot, although I feel like he would've gone down anyway (If I remember correctly, Heatmor's special defense is awful. Plus thanks to the Psychologist, The Godbat no longer has a -Sp.Atk Nature.) Charizard also fell to the mighty Godbat. I swear, half his team down and I'm still on full 6, I don't see why I don't ALWAYS open like this. Houndoom FINALLY managed to end The Godbat's reign of terror. #6 Made short work of him though, thanks to the ever-useful Earth Power. And then dealt with Pyroar (Who is adifferent gender to the last battle, which amused me a bit).

So huzzah! I won! After much anguish, Sunny Day get!

Now, returning to the plot, which I admit I've somewhat neglected so far.

I can vaguely appreciate how gullible the player is for assuming Bennett is that gullible. But, well... He sure pulls off gullible well.

I believe I mentioned last time how El's outfit change and name lengthening intrigue me. Plus normal types are awesome, so I really do look forward to our eventual full battle against him.

I despised this segment in the original, because I first did it during mock exams so I wasn't organised to have paper handy and my memory is pants. Luckily the screenshot function exists. More lukcily, I still have said screenshots. Although the patrolling might still be a pain to get around, this should be far less painful than my first tiem through here. Also, hey, so THIS is where the Holy Field is. How fitting.

Now that I get to the bit I need screenshots, it seems like theh ard part is scrolling through 1638 backup saves. I save OFTEN. I look forward to the streamlining of the backup system in the next release. So, in case anybody else wants a quick reference:

Emerald: 3827 Sapphire: 1605 Ruby: 2303 Amethyst: 0204

Now, I went and read some books because I didn't appear to have the screenshot for the Ruby password. I'm sure there are new ones, and one of them stands out to me mentioning 6 pillars: Emerald, Crimson, Violet, Gold, Azure and Ivory [seal as told]. Which is... New. Ivory and Gold have not had any involvement, whereas the other 4 are the Reborn colours under different names (except Emerald, under the usual name). I mean... Arceus is White and Yellow, I guess but... I feel there's more than that going on. This will no doubt become relevant, methinks. And also a mention of Blackest Beast lying at Light's End. Ever intriguing. And another book mentions four pillars of light, which one assumes are the standard ones.

Hmm. I recognise one of these generic teams from my up to date playthrough. For the sake of memory, I'm bolding a name to remind myself when I get to the E15 content: Cultist Kaiden, Dragonair+Shelgon

I have to wonder if there's ever a situation where Cain deems it inappropriate to make lewd jokes. He's very refreshing to have around, particularly in life threatening situations such as these. Also his 'What is your hair even doing?' to Bennet is absolutely brilliant. And he's right about not getting to be the very best like no one ever was. That'll be me, sorry Cain. And 'Thanks for the lead'? I... wonder what that was about. And Luna's mention of 'The darkness in Master's heart'... So many mysteries, dammit. But I guess I'm off to Iolia Valley.

After teaching #6 Rock Smash, progress was smooth. I love this place too, it's so pretty. Bit laggy outside though.

I am far more amused than I likely should be that there's a phone to the Grand Hall in the cave luna does her battles. It's brilliant. With that said, I have a battle to do. Two, in fact!

Darkness is gathering...

Other than the Life Orb on Yanmega, which threw me a bit, this was pretty straightforward. Imagine if I had rock types, too... Bennet's team has a long way to go before he's Elite Four material, that's for sure.

That aside, I find it hard to get a read on how Bennett will end up. He could very easily fall over the edge and go completely evil, but he could just as easily come back and help us. He's a confused and lonely guy but... Well, only time will tell.

Oh, and as a nice detail, the Light Shard in here respawns, to function as a healing machine before the gym. That's awesome.

Team Vs. Luna:

Lucky #6 Lv60

Brainfreeze Lv58

Peache Lv58

The Godbat Lv60

Airy Lv60

Mozilla Lv60

Darkness is gathering...

So, knowing she opens with her Bisharp, I get my Toxic spikes out, as he won't remove 'em later. #6 gets out both layers but faints in the process. And then I switch to The Godbat, but for a very different reason to usual.

..So, in other news, Flash doesn't change the field to a normal Crystal Cavern. Welp, lesson learnt. Earth Power probably woulda done the job, too. I guess I'll try that out if I lose this time. But Mozilla made short work of The Carpenter, and Peach of Bandersnatch. Brainfreeze mostly took down Humpty Dumpty, but he switched out once Brainfreeze fainted, so then Peach set up against March Hare and dealt with that. Then Jubjub Bird took down Airy and Peach, and various other faintings happened previously that I forgot to write down, so I lost. I guess I'm trying Earth Power this time.

I managed to get both layers of spikes up AND Earth Power, which had no effect on the field, but took down Bisharp in one shot. The downside is that Bisharp got off Stealth Rock, which will tear right through my team. When I thought all hope was lost for the field, her Tyranitar used Earthquake and got rid of it for me. Everything went fine and then, once more, Honchcrow tore through nearly my entire team. But I now learnt Mozilla can outspeed it, and will burn next time.

Battle three opened with an Earth Power. Can't risk Rocks, especially if T-tar turns the field into a cave. He did, but I still got up a single spike layer, and no rocks in sight. Peach and Airy dealt with Ttar. Airy with Malamar. Mozilla with Honchcrow (Finally!), Mozilla+Brainfreeze with Sableye and, finally, Airy with Umbreon.

Three tries seems to be a running theme this time, just like the fight with Maxwell.

Now, I guess it's up to Agate, but I'd say that's enough Reborn for me today. Agarest and Skyrim demand my attention.

Oh, and seeing as what Shinies I have are the same as last time, I'll change it up and put the backsprites instead of the frontsprites for once! Especially considering these are the sprites I tend to see.

Alright, so after a long while of being distracted, I'm back to this run! And I had conveniently saved right before one of the funniers bits of the game, the entrance to Agate!

I have to say, I love how Terra is written. If for naught else that Ame had the foresight to only put her ingame for small bursts, because too much Terra would be, well... Too much. Although I'd argue the funniest bits of this scene are Cain's reactions. But anyway, I mucked about with some tile puzzles, and then we meet the other two Circus leaders.

Interestingly, it seems Samson's line about the last leader retiring was changed from having Cain respond by exlaining it and Samson feeling bad to Cain just saying 'Well this is awkward' and we move on. I like concise, but I'm not sure if I prefer this.
Oh wait, the line is still in! It just happens when you speak to Samson after the conversation. That's cool

After I stood around admiring the Agate Circus music that I love, it was time to head down to Route 2. See now, when I first played Reborn, this segment was as far as it went up to, ending with the battle against Samson. I THINK the Route 2 puzzle was made easier, but I dunno. I never had much trouble with it, but I remember a lot of people did. I think I used up all of my 'stuck on puzzles' energy in Shelly's gym back on the first playthrough :S

Oh hey, when I go to Amy/Tania's house, Titania mentions we've met. That's pretty cool, don't think she did that on my first file (I think I mentioned that I missed the Route 1 event on that file).

While I'm there, I also check the TV. Whaddya know, new interviews! Good thing I remembered to check!

So, Samson is the Leader Profile, (obviously). So apparently he's backup gym leader and now current gym leader due to a lost bet with Terra? Interesting, although I can't say I have any idea what the details would be. Otherwise, it just goes through some tips to fight him as normal.

As for the interview... I think I'm going to transcribe the whole thing with line-by-line commentary.

"Today I'm meeting with one of Reborn's strongest trainers!"

Huh, sounds like maybe an El or Laura interview. Or I mean, I suppose there's the other option...
"She's big! She's bad-ass! And she's set to tear you a new one--"

Oh, not Anna. Sapphira.

Anna: "Hey! I'm not any of those things!"

Or I was right the first time. This is the interview I REALLY wanna see.

G: "Only joking!
Everyone say hi to Anna!"

A: "And Nostra! Don't forget her~"

You can already tell this interview is gonna be awesome.

G: "Yes... Nostra too...
Wouldn't want to forget her..."

Now, I have to wonder with this. Gardevoir's a strong psychic pokemon. Is she hesitating because Nostra is just a doll, or because she can sense something far, FAR more at work.
After all, since when does Gardevoir get thrown off by people being weird?

"Anyway! Anna, you may not be big or bad-ass, but if your rank is and indication, you sure know how to battle."

I'd say E4/Champ confirmed, but from the Orphanage, we more or less already knew she was one of those. Y'know, unless there's a Reborn Frontier that's been kept a really big secret.

"Tell us, what's your secret? How can you be so talented at such a young age?"

A: "Huh? I'm not sure I understand the question..."

Hmm, gotta wonder whether she's going somewhere with this, or being evasive.

"Because it doesn't matter how old you are as long as you're good at something, right?"

Well hey, she WAS going somewhere with it.

"There are talented people who are old, so it only makes sense that there would be talented people who are also young."

G: "Surprisingly wise words! Or I guess we shouldn't be surprised by now. Tell us, how did you earn your position?"

Get ready, we're about to get some evasion hax that'd make smogon cringe.

A: "Oh, Mr. Shadow recommended me for it and Nostra helped me beat all the competition! I owe it to all my friends!"

That was direct. We already knew Shade recommended Noel from his profile, I believe. Or at least I theorised it. More fuel for the "Shade is their dad, not Radomus" theory, I guess.

G: "A shadow and a doll... Right...
Well, your talent certainly is undeniable."

Champiooooonnnnn
A: "Miss, have we met before?"

G: "...I'm sorry, what?"

A: "I think we met before. Nostra thinks so too."

Do my ears mistake me? Or is that the sound of PLOT?

G: "Well, it's only natural that I should seem familiar! I am, after all, a celebrity."

Alternatively, this could be a sign of the 'Radomus is their dad' theory.

A: "Oh you are? That's so cool! I thought you were just a random Gardevoir who wanted to talk."

Classic Anna right there.

G: "I-- You... haven't heard of me?"
A: "Nu-uh."
G: "..."
I do like how, unlike Noel, Anna does go to the effort to sometimes remind us in her manner that she IS a child. Anyway, the interview finished there, but it was certainly informative about our probably not Champion because that's Victoria. Anyway though, I'm off to challenge Samson!

Alright, I'm not TOO worried about this one, because my team is sorta set to counter fighting. Then again, famous last words. Let's see if I can break my streak of requiring three tries.

Now Presenting...!

So, my first try went absolutely horribly. Lead with The Godbat, got Knocked Off. Followed up with Mozilla, burnt him, got Knocked Off. Given that he OHKO'd Mozilla while burnt, it was around now I realized he either had guts or is banded. Probably banded. Either way, Airy dealt with the Hariyama and then Mienshao swept me. So, attempt 2, I lead with #6 and set up two layers of spikes. This is where I realise it's guts, not a band, because he used different moves.

Airy took out Hariyama as before, this time only losing #6 (who served his purpose setting up Spikes). I switch to The Godbat for Mienshao, because I know it's packing Poison Jab. It's faster than The Godbat though, so takes him out. Mozilla takes a hit and then KOs him. Two down on each side. Sadly Mozilla was seriously damaged, so I've lost my main recourse against Lucario which was just sent out. I send in Peach in hopes it's special (Or at least mixed). From the Extremespeed spam, it's not. BUT then I noticed something lovely. Quiver Dance gets double boosts on this field... I mean, Lucario still messed me up, but hey. Something to keep in mind.

Attempt three opens with Peach, who managed to get up one Quiver Dances and then Petal Dances. Which, like the dance boosting moves, also seems to get a boost. x1.5 in fact. Mienshao also went straight down. Even Blaziken did too. And Hawlucha. Lucario finally ended Peach's reign of sweeping terror with an Extremespeed, but Mozilla came in and made short work of him, even making Samson eat a potion. Which left me with 5 pokemon to take down one measly Conkeldurr.

It's when I type stuff like that that I get really worried I'm gonna get destroyed. Luckily, two Psychics from Mozilla and he was down!

So, I guess I didn't break my three attempt streak... Well, maybe next time. Time to find a TV, and then finish this update.

So, the interview is with Adrienn, and was more or less just about how xe was fixing up the city while we can't go back there. The profile is, of course, for Charlotte, which was just your usual stuff really.

Anyway, that's all for this time. No new pokemon, so I won't put up a Shiny list, but hopefully I'll get back into the rhythm of this run and it's less than a month for the next update!

Ha, and I said it would be less than a month for the next update. I am 100% reliable. Reborn is in good hands with this guy fixing bugs.

Anyway, apologies for the delay. I assure you that I definitely did not forget about this run. Nope. That didn't happen. Nuh-uh. It's been two and a half months I don't even know how to pokemon anymore.

So, next up, we're heading in the general direction of Charlotte. Which means trekking through a mountain. Which means I might finally get a water type! (God, I hope so. I thought Charlotte pre-nerf in my original file and I still have nightmares). I'm gonnan eed something to combat her because, for once, i won't just be able to rely on Peach to kick ass.

I'm getting ahead of myself though, I have to go invade somebody's privacy with disastrous consequences, first.

I hate having to do this, but I can hardly halt the run and just not get surf because of it. I'm never sure whether telling Amaria or not is the best choice, or if it will have any consequences down the line. I didn't tell her, mostly because I think I did in my original playthrough, I've noted this on pevious occasions, but I do like the appearance of the absol.

Oh, and only Lucky #6 can learn Surf, so bye-bye Megahorn. Onwards, to aimlessly wander through a mountain!

Random Sidenote that occured to me while I was surfing: Lumineon is super-forgettable, and I forget it exists a lot. But damn, whenever I remember it DOES exist, it's one of my favourite pokemon. If that makes any sense. I really like it.

Also the player character sprite actually surfs while surfing. That's awesome. I don't think I've noticed that before.

AndI didn't finish the Crustle Puzzle earlier, it seems, so I spent a while messing with that after I'd aimlessly explored a different part of the mountain for a while.

I'm finally in Ametrine mountain proper, so I'd say it's time to realise we can't actually get to Ametrine city because of all that ice, so we need to go beat up defeat Charlotte so we can Dive, instead! So, time to traverse Route 3, which I am more than a little paranoid about. Aya killed a Shiny Druddigon here in my main file. I do NOT want something like that happening again. A Druddigon would be awesoem right about now.

Cain: "I just same my life flashign before my eyes, no big deal."

Aya: "So I'm guessing that was like watching a spli-second porno?"

Cain: "The diaogue was slightly better."

God, I love these two so much.

Hardy: "There's a good way to get beat?"

Cain: "I'll have to show you some time~"

Aya: "No you don't!"

Aya's crush on Hardy is almost as funny as Cain's Cain-ness.

Cain: "And don't worry. I'll be gentle with your boyfriend~"

Aya: "He's NOT my boyfriend!

...Wait, just what are you planning o do to him!?"

Goodness, I feel like this update is gonna be heavy on me quoting Cain & Aya.

Anyway, on the way trekking through caves, some terrorists showed up, as they tend to. They didn't really pose much of a problem, as usual. Well, I mean, apart from the first two which nearly wiped me because they just completely ignored Aya's Dragalge. Meteor got competent when I wasn't looking. Probably what they spent the last two and a half months doing. I still beat them, of course. I had significantly less trouble with the Knight and Dame duo which followed.

Oh boy. We have a Shiny. And it's a pokemon I like, with a shiny sprite I love (Even if I'm less Keen on it's evolutions' shiny sprites.) Please don't kill it Aya. Please please please please...

*sigh* Welp, looks like we won't getting a shiny Rhyhorn to join the team any time soon... ;_; Stupid Aya.

Huh, even here there's Absol? It's the small details like this that I love. Now for the beginnings of the event that Absol foretold:

Team Vs. Aster & Eclipse (4):

Peach Lv. 63

Brainfreeze Lv63

The Godbat Lv62

Airy Lv63

Lucky #6 Lv64

Mozilla Lv65

Machines whir in the background.

Can somebody say underlevelled? Still, I open with my usual Quiver Dancing Peach strategy. Lunatone knew Blizzard so I only got two off before I drained him, because Blizzard is somewhat scary for Peach, even from a Lunatone. Solrock even burnt Peach, but luckily Giga Drain is reliable healing when she's had two Quiver Dances off.Except Solrock got a critical Rock Slide, so Peach onlly managed to take down Solrock. Talk about a waste of time.

#6 comes out next, doing some serious damaging and laying out spikes, although only one layer because of confusion hax.

Thanks to some confusion hax of our own, Brainfreeze dealt with most of Aster's team, although didn't bother even trying to touch the Milotic Eclipse had out.

Unfortunately, Milotic just wouldn't die. And while all Aster had left has the Solrock he switched out at the beginning the crafty duo took out... Every. Single. Member. Of my team. So Aya was left on her own to finish the job. And while she made an admirable attempt, her AI decided to be incredibly bad. That combined with Paralysis hax on her Venasaur stopped her winning. Although she took out Solrock and Eclipse only had 1 or 2 pokemon remaining (I wasn't counting) she eventually fell.

The second attempt went a lot better. Lunatone decided not to use Blizzard, and I targeted Solrock first because it would attack Peach's unboosted defense. Peach took out Rhyperior just as easily, ignoring Lunatone because he's no real threat anymore. Same story for Golurk. And then, Hax. Blizzard barely did damage, but it DID decide to freeze me.Not taking chances, I crammed some Red Hots down Peach's throat, and we were back in action, but she was then taken out by a Fire punch from Electvire. Lucky #6 came in next, doing serious damage to both teams alongside Aya's Nidoqueen. The Godbat and came in and did more damage, being sure to take out that damn Milotic, although not before an annoying Scald burn. Aster was taken down completely by Brainfreeze, and Eclipse was on her way there. Mozilla landed the killing blow on Vileplume, and so I won on my second attempt.

Aster: "Dammit Eclipse, are you even trying!?"

Eclipse: "Not really, no."

Seeing as I'm a big fan of this pair, a pretty big feels-train arrived in the station shortly after this. We hate Sirius now. He even kidnapped Aya after everything with Eclipse ;_;

Route 4 was largely uneventful. Just Mozilla & the gang destroying stuff.

Calcenon is looking awesome, music and design, I really like the place. Also Eclipse's name is Caitlyn. Missed that first time aruond.

Anyway, what we have left now is Charlotte's gym. I don't even slightly expect to beat her with my current team, but I'll give it a try. If I lose, I'll finish this update there, and probably train and shake up my team a bit in the meantime. And probably go searching for a water type in the mountain.

Huh. Ame's 'gym guy' talk for Charlotte has this little snippet:

'If she takes after her mother, that's going to be a lot of Eruption and Heat Wave attacks.'

I was under thei mpression Charlotte/Laura/Saphira's mother was a WATER gym leader, not fire. Couldn't tell you off the top of my head why I think that... But Iswear omebody somewhere said it. I guess not though. Huh. Talk about weird. Must've just made that up >.<

I said I was going to take one try and then stop for training, but I'll take two. Because I have two distinct plans in mind regarding how to tackle this battle.

Alright, here we go with my first attempt, where my plan is basically just Toxic Spikes+Brute Force. Yes, I know it won't work because most of my team has nothing they can do against Charlotte. Still, it'd be wrong to NOT try. I have no idea how hard her nerf was.

Charlotte: '[My mother] was a fire trainer too, you know.'

Thinking about it, I swear THIS was where I got the impression that she was a water trainer, I recall her mentioning it and also mentioning the hasty gym remodeling to fit fire or SOMETHING like that. I'm probably imagining it, or there was a big retcon or something. I dunno, but this line is almost certainly new, with the fire type thing is or not. I doubt I would have thought Mama Belrose was a water type trainer if Charlotte explicitly says she was fire. I was so sure she was water. I even remember laughing at something at the tail end of the E15 content with Team Meteor because of a reference to water gyms and gymleaders and I thought of Mmama Belrose and all. Ah well, I'm rambling at this point, and I have a gym battle to lose!

Team Vs. Charlotte:

Lucky # 6 Lv68

Mozilla Lv67

Peach Lv66

Brainfreeze Lv67

Airy Lv67

The Godbat Lv67

The field is super-heated!

So, they edited the cigarette out of Charlotte's cut in, not sure why, she still spends the whole game talking about smokes. I suppose it's probably a logic thing, maybe it was realised smoking when the field in her gym is the way it is might be a slightly terrible idea. Eh, either way, the battle begins.

So, I leveled a fair bit while I was wanderign through Route 4, because Audinos. Still, Brainfreeze, Peach & Airy are somewhat useless in this fight, so I doubt I will win, even after the training. Anyway, opened by trying and failing to layer spikes because Darmanitan took out #6 in a single hit. The rest of this extremely short battle was 'Darmanitan one shots everything until he kills himself with Recoil, then Typhlosion one shots the rest'

Which leads to plan B, the way I dealt with pre-nerf Charlotte on my original file: Rain Dance.

This was a very different story to open with. #6 opened with Earth Power to take down Darmanitan instead of trying to set up spikes, and it worked well enough thanks to the rain softening the attack enough that it didn't kill #6. It's a shame she doesn't open with Ninetales or the Rain would've gotten rid of her field altogether thanks to the rainbow.

#6 then took out Typhlosion, who took out Godbat previously. Brainfreeze went out as fodder for me to heal #6, which didn't work because Delphox STILL one shotted it. Brainfreeze survived awfully well so he provided Icy Wind support. On a whim, because I had nothing that could really deal with her Delphox, I had Brainfreeze spam Sheer Cold on it till she died.

It,umm... It worked first try. Which is awesome. And convenient because Rotom killed him straight after. This was when the Rain stopped and I had barely any usuable pokemon left. Amusingly, I was the one who ended up Combusting the Field with a Fire Pledge. At this point, I was just praying on Delphox doing the work and having my useless party members just lob Ultra potions.

It was working rather well, Charlotte is down to Rotom & Ninetales, I have Mozilla, Airy & Peach. Except Ninetales just got off a Nasty Plot and it's sunny. So I worked out that Fire Blast would do more damage than Psychic at this point, and just loobed one of those at Ninetales in hopes I'd get lucky.Airy goes down, Mozilla survives with a sliver of health, Ninetales survives with about 40% health. If Peach attracts Ninetales' ire and Mozilla gets of a Fire Blast, I can take down Ninetales and then I should be able to deal with Rotom 1v1.

Ninetales' ai took a turn for the strupid and tried to solar beam me so I came out unscathed and it came out fainted. Meanwhile Rotom has been spamming overheat this whole time so it can't even 1 shot Peach anymore.

What I'm trying to say is, against all odds, on only my second try and with half a team only able to work as heal bots...

Cinder Badge get!

This is great, and it puts a smile on my face that I spent most of the battle fighting fire with fire.

Time to find a TV and then wrap up the update!

So, the profile is not only Terra, but Ciel too! And the Ciel profile is kind enough to warn us about the Mega Altaria. Wish I had watched that on my first playthrough instead of being totally blindsided by it...

The interview is with Florinia. She put her emotions on hold because emotions caused serious problems in her past, which we more or less already knew, but Gardevoir couldn't get her to elaborate.

Anyway, that's it for this eventful update! Given how well the gym battle went, I'd say this was a pretty positive segment, apart from, y'know, Aya getting kidnapped, Eclipse getting worse than killed, and worst of all, Aya killing a potential team member. Still, hopefully next time will take less than 2 and a half months. For real this time!

See, I'm a man of my word, it's only been one month this time.

Alright, time to go get Diving in the mountains to save the city where the Agate sleep thing is totally coming from. Which also means we'll open up with the only PULSE battle I've never struggled with on any file! (Well, I maen, I've only gotten this far once before, but y'know. It was ez.)

Or at least that was the plan. Until it occured to me that none of my pokemon can Dive. So, umm... I guess I'm arsing around in Ametrine for a while until I find a shiny?

...Huh, that was quick. Only 9 battle. All I need to do is not kill this guy and we finally have a water type Team Member! Who can not onlly Dive, but is a pokemon I like so I may actually add them to the team for T3RRAWR. And luckily, despite my very nearly knocking it out, I hope everyone will welcome the team's newest member... Pearl, the Wailmer!

Now, as much as I hate to say it, this team does have to keep growing and evolving. Brainfreeze is the best candidate for being swapped out for Pearl, but he'll have good uses for then next two Gyms. Indeed, my whole team fits together quite nicely. With that said, at least for now, Lucky #6 is going back to the box. He's served well, and been on my team since I first got him, but... Well, he's high levelled, training isn't too hard. I'm sure we'll see some rotation in the future. I'll probably train the whole team up to standard in the wait for E16 And the moment I get a Razor Claw in E16, Mystery is replacing Brainfreeze faster than you can say wut.

So, first we had a brief detour to the circus to train up Pearl to becoming a Wailord, and shortly after, we began our adventures diving. While training, I noted my entire team, sans Pearl who is mixed, is special. This MAY cause problems.... I guess we'll see, and i can rotate around if problems do happen! Anyway though,I have a PULSE to fight...

Team Vs. PULSE Avalugg

Mozilla Lv.68

The Godbat Lv.67

Brainfreeze Lv.67

Peach Lv.66

Airy Lv.68

Pearl Lv.51

Alright, so I opened with a Will-o-Wisp, and then a Fire Pledge to clear the field. It threw a bullldoze (I'm still faster) and a Freeze Dry. Then I just sorta Spammed Fire Blast while it tried to use ineffective moves like Flash Cannon & Freeze Dry instead of stuff that would hurt like Bulldoze or Rock Slide. Much like on my original file; total pushover.

Shellly questions why the didn't put Avalugg basically anywhere else. Shelly is a smart cookie. After this, I continue my journey of getting ice puzzles wrong before finally arriving in Ametrine city! And once there, we encounter a seasonally appropriate new friend! So, I hope everyone will give a welcome (Not too warm, she might die because type effectiveness) to our newest friend, Bauble the Snover!

Now, Bauble adds the physicality my team needs, and Abomasnow is pretty awesome regardless. But I'm already up in Ametrine and trecking down to train her would be a pain. Plus A physical grass/ice mon would be pretty badly geared statwise against Terra (Although, looking at it, she has a +Sp.Atk nature, so I can run mixed...). Basically, Bauble WILL replace Brainfreeze, but either a little before or a litle after fighting Terra. Time will tell!

I DID however take a brief detour to train Bauble up one level so she evolved. So now we have a Christmas Abomasnow, ready to be trained when we get back to the circus!

Alright, so I wander around Ametrine, do some stuff, get a Department Sticker.

..Ow, Shelly. Too soon.

Shelly: ...Plus it's not like reading diaries ever really got anyone in trouble, right?

Anyway though, we discover the origin of ZEL & the beginnings of the PULSE project.

Shelly: Umm.. What's your name?
???: Nunya.
Shelly: What?
Nunya?: I said it's Nunya. Nunya B. Snes.

Jeez Blake. As he continues to demonstrate throughout our interactions with him, he's a complete ass. Now, this is gonna be one of the few times I make the same decisions as in my original file. Namely rejecting Blake's offer of Waterfall for the ring. Because it leads to somethign rather important to this run down the line.

Oh, and Cal looks way better with blue hair. Also I love this puzzle. Also gems like 'Checked under the bed... Better bot let Shelly see these.'

So after getting the code and the cable, the code is 5*83164. I don't know if there's any hints as to what the final digit is, but it's easy enough to just try till I get it.

For the record, it's 0.

So, after acquiring Banetite, I head up the mountain with Cal to fight some terrorists. FIrst pair was really easy. As was the second. I might've gotten really lucky with AI roulette, although it's probably also just Cal can really pull his own weight. Shelly got good as well, because the third pair was also cake. Third was a bit more of a struggle, but still made it through. And Pearl is levelling up nicely. Next battle a little harder, but still workable. And I think that just leaves the fight against a certain icehole.

Oh, right. Forgot this.

Team Vs. Aster:

Peach Lv69

Pearl Lv62

The Godbat Lv67

Mozilla Lv69

Airy Lv68

Brainfreeze Lv68

The field is covered in ice...

So I forgot this was coming and didn't really prepare for it. But I had Peach in the lead, and he opened with Solrock, so I started with my standard Quiver Dancing Peach strategy. Aster got rocks & dual screens up, but in that same time, I got 3 Quiver Dances. I went for a fourth dance, and he changed to Golurk. Down in a Petal Dance. Magmortar almost down in 2 Petal Dances, took me out, and then died to Life Orb damage, taking the field out with it. Which I figured was a cue for Mozilla. Wisped & then Psychiced Rhyperior, who barely took anything, so then Pearl took it out with a Water Spout. Yay for Pearl contributing! Electvire comes out and I'm suddenly feeling the lack of #6, without Peach to tank it, I swap out to Airy. Two Moonblasts dealt with that, and Milotic came out. I kept in Airy because she was too damaged to survive switching back into the rocks anyway. Setup come Calm Minds with The Godbat, and then took out Milotic & Solrock, somewhat narrowly winning the battle for me!

Now, with that oh so narrow victory, it's NOW time for fighting the icehole

Team Vs. Blake:

Mozilla Lv69

Brainfreeze Lv68

Pearl Lv63

Peach Lv70

The Godbat Lv67

Airy Lv68

The snow glows white on the mountain...

First turn was Icy wind to lower speed, and of course Fire Pledge to kill that damn icy mountain. Blake swapped out Rotom for Weavile, which Mozilla took out. Then he took out Rotom. And then he narrowly missed out on taking out Froslass, and was taken out in response. Airy finished off Froslass, but Jynx took out Brainfreeze. Blake sent out Vanilluxe, I sent out Pearl, realising that Godbat & Peach BOTH have Ice weaknesses. Airy Moonblasted Jynx to death, but Vanilluxe got her. I had Peach go after Walrein, Pearl after Vanilluxe. Pearl is proving surprisingly useful.

It comes down to just a half-health Pearl & a full health Godbat against a half Health Walrein who rather significantly outlevelled them both, weighing in at 73. Godbat went for a psychic, Pearl for a Dive but... Well, it wasn't enough, and so we narrowly missed out on victory...

Attempt 2 was more or less the same idea, opening with my destroying the field, but i had Brainfreeze on Mirror Shot duty instead of speed lowring duty. This worked al ittle better and, vitally, I used FIre Blast instead of Pledge on Frostlass and it was taken out, with Mozilla still in tact, although he was shortly dispatched thereafter. Then I got hit by a LOT of freeze hax, and that about covers how I failed attempt 2.

Attempt 3 saw Mozilla just setting everythign on fire, and his partners throwing Ultra Potions at him. It worked, and the Icehole crumbled.

Of note, Cal mentions Lin favouring Terra for whatever reason. That could be interesting... Either way, after a quick detour to Calcenon, where I pick up my brand new SHINY CHARM :D I head to the Circus and train up Pearl & Bauble to match everyone else. And with that, I think I'll end the update here.

Except... I feel like I'm forgetting something...

Oh, right. While I was travelling back from Calcenon where i got my Shiny Charm, some stuff happened. Basically, please welcome moar ice pls, NotEnoughIce, HOWDOIBLOCK?, and Never Forget (There was also an unnamed Cubchoo but I managed to kill it). So yeah, Shiny charm really working out, here. At this rate, I'll just tackle Terra with an Ice Mono. Or perhaps just a whole team of new pokemon, these are all food mons. This was.. Awfully eventful of an update, just on Team Members gained alone. Still, hopefully next time will be even faster than a month to update!

Allrighty, so, as promised, it's been less than a month! Just. Although you'll be maybe happy to know I haven't just spent the ENTIRE ime since the last update not touching this. I spent the last few days levelling up all my team members to the same point so I could use whatever I want against Terra!

Now, with the abundance of ice types I acquired, I decided to do something a little different as I venture into Terra-land. Namely, I've decided to make up my current team of all 5 of my ice types, as well as HOWDOIBLOCK?

So I suppose this update, unless I fail miserably and have to get a more balanced team, will be the adventures of the Forst Five!

As usual, Samson & Ciel are a hilarious duo. I wish we got to see a lot more of the pair, expecially Ciel. I really like her character, but not that much happens with her at current.

Samson: We were just discussing the possibility of you being a member of Team Meteor.

Terra: u wot m7

LEWL THAT'S THE BEST THING I'VE HEARD ALL THIRY SECONDS

Ciel: So it's not true, right?

Terra: RAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWR!!!! what are we talkin bout again lol

Ciel: You're not a member of Team Meteor, right?

Terra: well duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

'course i am, betchez

I just felt like transcribing that little bit because my inner childishness is amused by Terra's antics. Also, watching this and other scenes brings a thought to mind: What exactly IS the relationship between Terra & Ciel? I mean, I always just figured they were friends and Terra was being Terra, but she's awful persistent about it. Is there, perhaps, meant to be some kind of implication that Terra and Ciel really are an item? It's a thought I've had in the back of my mind, although it's probably just me missing out on the subtleties of what is either just teasing or an actual relationship.

Oh yeah, I also literally cracked up in my first playthrough when I got to this part and Samson calls Terra out for trying to give Batman's backstory. It's still funny.

Also JACK OFF! EXECUTE!

Y'know, instead of Jack in. Also amusing. And reminding me I should replay the Megaman Battle Network games. Although now i've gone off topic. It's time to venture into the computer world which, if I remember correctly, means at least one guarunteed new team member!

Oooh, but first, even though I very nearly missed it, the gym machine is back online now Terra went into the computer. Which means a brief chat with Ame about Terra. Nothing rea special here, Ame mentions she never liked Terra. After that, it's just an explanation o the Glitch Field. So I guess this means onwards! To Terraland!

This Gen I music makes me happy. Especially because I heard a lot of it recently at Symphonic Evolutions. Even though I started pokemon with Gen II, the Gen I music really holds a special place in my heart.

Now, I do love both the Glitch Field and of course the building of the computer world, I think it's just brilliant. Although I noticed one of the trainers in Mt. b00ty had a farfetch'd, which seems a little out of place among everyone else's Gen I mons, but whatever. The trainers and wild mons aren't posing any problem just yet. But there's a little more to come before Terra, of course. Also it took me way to long to realise why HOWDOIBLOCK?'s Dual Chop was doing nearly no damage. Whoops. I should pay more attention to the things.

But apparently Dual Chop is still just a LITTLE too strong to weaken a Shiny Zubat. So, uhh... There's a potential team member gone ;_;

Luckily, literally the next battle after that is a much more succesful new member! So we should give a warm welcome to ERROL the Patrat.

Now I'm going to write down what the diary in the pokemon mansion says, mostly for reference as is with a lot of what I write down:

'hee hee! this is fun!

i can see everything from here!

and i can make everybody play with me!

it's all thanks to baby arceus!

i'm going to make sure i repay him by setting him free!

then we can all live in the new world together and have lots of fun forever and ever!'

Because that isn't at least a little creepy. Also not 100% sold that was written by Terra. Time will tell, I suppose. In other news, our guarunteed team member joined! So everyone, welcome genwun5ever, the Porygon!

Y'know, given these are 100% Shiny, SOME people might abuse this oppurtunity to stock up on Shinies or something.

And with that we also welcome our next 5 team members 'AllYourBase', 'All my base?', 'YesYourBase', 'I have base?', & 'BttryBiscuit'

Also the voice in Glitch Astrae:

???: Hee hee hee~

This is fun...

Hey everybody... You can pass here only if you have the FURYBADGE, isn't that right~?

Oh! That's the FURYBADGE!

Hehe, okay, then you can leave... for now...

But come back and play again sometime, okay?

After this we get a brief view of what appears to be a glitch version of Reborn's victory road. Liking the gears.

Now, however, it's time for the interesting stuff. Namely an actual battle. So, I guess it's time for a proper debut from the Forst Five!

Team Vs. Mewtwo

Mystery Lv 71

moar ice pls Lv73

Bauble Lv71

Brainfreeze Lv71

NotEnoughIce Lv71

HOWDOIBLOCK? Lv74

Alrighty, so afaik, while Dark MOVES lose their type, Dark mons don't. Hence opening with Mystery. Being immune to psychich is going to be one hell of a boon.

1n!taliz3 .b//////attl3

Or not. Two Thunderbolts and I'm down, and Mystery had no real firepower to speak of. Jumping straight into a Heavy, moar ice pls starts to fling Blizzards, also nothing happening. And, uhh... Long story short, I died pretty fast. Attempt 2 I open up with Brainfreeze to try and got off an Icy Wind or two so Mewtwo doesn't completely outspeed everything I have. Long story short, Brainfreeze can' take a psystrike, so that attempt goes about as well as the first.

After a couple more tries, I uhh... Well, I think the Frost Five have already met their match. In hindsight, they probably weren't the smartest idea... Time to build a more balanced Mewtwo fighting squad! And after a bit of training up a new addition and thanking my lucky stars I had two Link Stones...I think we have one hell of a team prepared.

Team Vs Mewtwo, Second Try

I have base? Lv70

Brainfreeze Lv71

Jackie Pan Lv70

Mozilla Lv72

Jalapeno? Lv71

Pearl Lv71

Now, I have base? turned out to be one HELL of a lucky catch. 31 Sp.Atk IV AND Modest so it'll hit like a truck. Not to metion take hits like one while I'm in the computer.

Alright, so Mewtwo isn't smart enough to open with Psystrike, and instead attacks I have base? on it's MUCH stronger special defense, leaving me able to get off a Tri attack, burning the legend in the process. I try to go for a Hyper Beam next, but it seems like Mewtwo wised up and went for Psystrike this time. Jumping straight into Jackie Pan, I manage to do a fair amount of damage before falling, and then a Fire Blast from Mozilla finishes things off. That burn was really useful to me. Now I'll rejiggle my team al ittle before Terra, less focus on Dark Types, but generally, I'm liking it where it stands.

So, without further ado, let the battle we've all been waiting for begin!

Team Vs. M3G4 T3RR4

I have base? Lv71

Brainfreeze Lv71

Mozilla Lv72

HOWDOIBLOCK? Lv74

Pearl Lv71

Peach Lv71

Wait, the pre battle message is definitely different to when I first battled her. There's no Sudden segue to battle. No anne r key... Although these new lines are rather funny too. I wonder why Ame would rewrite the lines when she hates writing Terra so much? For reference:

'AH! I HEARD ABOUT YOU, Azeael!

I AM T3RR4, THEY CALL ME THE CIEL TAMER

HAD THAT B!TCH ON HER KNEES,

COVERED IN KETCHUP.

WH4T.

l00k. i ain't about that dramatic speech life. but lemme tell ya a lil' somethin' somethin', ya feel me

IT WAS A LONG TIME AGO

IN A GALAXY NOT VERY FAR AWAY 4T ALL

IN FACT IT WAS THIS ONE

THIS GALAXY. R1GHT HER3.

and helllllllllll them meteors be good in bed.

and lyk, hbu bby? asl? u have kik?

CUZ IMMA K1K UR 4$$ 000000000000000000'

Annnnyway, the battle opened with I have base? forcing Terra to waste all her Hyper potions on Giovanni by having Tri-Attack do JUST the right amount of damage. Plus lucky freeze. HOWDOIBLOCK? dealt with Excakill in one Dynamic Punch. Brainfreeze took down Clayboybunny & Hiphopappotamus with ease. Peach Giga Drained Swagsire. And then Rawrchomp took down Team member after team member. All I had left was Peach, a mon with only Grass Moves. And after such a brilliant takedown of the first five mons...

I turtled the hell out of it. Leech Seed and Ultra potions where my friends, and I came out victorious!

And with that, I'll leave the update here. I only have 1, two tops before I reach the end of the E15 content, so with any luck, I'll get to that in a timely manner.

Da team:

Alright, so I wrote up most of this as I was playing and then I closed the tab when I meant to change and that makes me grumpy. So all of my witty commentary throughout the sewers is gone. I even transcribed the conversation with Titania when you give her a Blue Moon Ice Cream, which is a pretty nice exchange, and detailed my struggles against Pulse Swalot.

I fought some cultists, observed the team I remembered was indeed the same cultist Kaiden, remarked about how Titania has no chill but that's entirely to be expected. There were comments in the nature of liking the sewer puzzles, liking Titania's blatant calling Taka out on helping us and remarks he's odd before doing so. Also that the cultist put up a reasonable fight but Aegislash soloed them when you were partnered up.

I seriously struggled with PULSE Swalot just like my original file, and eventually resorted to the same strategy of making a rainbow field, because without Murkwater, he's sorta a pushover. Oh, and I didn't fight Taka because I'm pretty sure I did on my original file. Although I'm not sure which choice is the right thing to do here.

Oh, yeah, and I observed Julia is like Terra with spelling. ANYWAY, I guess it's time for me to grumpily continue on after losing all I had written. Still, we have a chunk of content left for the update so at least that'll be good! Well, as good as usual. Jumping right in...

Team Vs. Fern(6) & Blake (2)

Brainfreeze Lv73

Pearl Lv72

Mozilla Lv73

HOWDOIBLOCK? Lv74

I have base? Lv74

Peach Lv72

Seeing as I opened with Brainfreeze, we start by dealing with Fern's Hazorus. In fact, the goal is more or less focus on Fern because his team is pretty weak to Ice. Rini can deal with Blake. Or try & fail to given her groung & grass types. Although Scizor ruined the plan by taking out Brainfreeze, we send out Mozilla to still more or less focus on Fern. I made that decision before realising he had Rhyperior, but Torterra was kind enough to deal with that for me. Then Florinia sent out Breloom and suddenly started destroying Blake as fast as I was destroying Fern. I gotta say, this battle was really satisfying.

Right up until Serperior came out and destroyed me because I missed a Fire Blast. That happened. Err...

Ahem. Take 2 went more smoothly. Serperior came out early and we dealt with it early. And beyond that, it was more or less smooth sailing.

So, now the big one. Which will hopefully go well, lest I have to repeat all that again.

Oooh, so that's how we end up paired with Julia for the Solaris fight on the path you beat him on Pyrous. Rini gets Poison Fang'd. So I guess it's battle time.

Team Vs Solaris(2) & New World Orderly John (2)

The same as the last one with a level up or two. There WAS no break in between.

I immediately switch out Brainfreeze because I want him on hand to deal with the Garchomp. Thus Pearl starts. Not the best matchup, but she can take hits. We take out both starting pokemon, but Pearl is lost shortly after. HOWDOIBLOCK? takes down Tyranitar while the two Eelektrosses are duking it out. Gyarados is a little scary, so I turn to Eelektross while I hope Julia deals with Gyara. She does, and I deal with Eelektross, but Machamp is down. Peach comes into set up because of the favourable matchup agaisnt Kecleon & Excadrill. She goes on a rampage and takes out both opponents, but Solaris' Mandibuzz halts her in her tracks.I have base? wrecks said Mandibuzz, and Garchomp comes out. And he's only a level higher than the glitchy porygon-z. So I go for a Tri Attack, but he earthquakes first so that doesn't work out. It ALSO takes out John & Julia's current pokemon. So now I'm back to Brainfreeze. John is out of pokemon so we're 2v1.

He Dragon Rushes Julia's Rotom Fan, which I swear was holding an air balloon, meanwhile he gets oneshotted with an Ice Beam. And thus victory is ours. Leaving some plot and then one big battle left before the end of E15.

Julia: Will she be okay?
Titania: I would say 'yes'. But Florinia has a history of being more affected by things than she should be.

Julia: Will you stop it already!?

Titania: I will when she does.

Julia: In case you didn't notice, it's NORMAL for peope to be hurt when their friend blows up on them. She trusted you, and you betrayed her!

Titania: Seems to be a recurring theme lately.

Amaria: Hey, what's with all the yelling...?

Well, that's at least a bit of insight into the incident between Florinia & Titania. One has to wonder what it entails, but only time will tell. That said, sounds sorta like Rini was in love with Amaria or somesuch. That'd make for some interesting events down the line.

Also Julia said Retrogravy Amnesty instead of Retrograde Amnesia. That's too good to not write down.

When I get back to the circus, the gym machine is once again online! Nothing much interesting there, just Ame warning us that Ciel plays defensive. Which remind me I've not checked the TV! Interview is nothing much, Gardevoir telling Serra that Bennet is a terrorist now and Serra demanding to be taken to him. The profile doesn't work, which I recall being a bug suffered in some of the very early E15 releases that was later fixed. I must not have downloaded the updated version on my laptop, or something like that.

Anyway, I think it's time for us to finish off the run until E16 releases. So, without further ado...

Team Vs. Ciel

Mozilla Lv73

Pearl Lv73

Brainfreeze Lv74

HOWDOIBLOCK Lv75

I have base? Lv75

Peach Lv73

So I may change the team up if the first attempt doesn't go well, because I have plenty of mons which would be good for Ciel. Still, may as well try with the main lot first!

Now presenting...!

Togekiss is a good start. Between the lucky burn from fire blast and doing the right amount of damage, I made Ciel eat up a Hyper Potion. Pearl took on Archeops and wasted her other two potions. Brainfreeze was going to destroy Noivern but a crit happened so... Oops. I have base? Did it instead. And then I got swept by Gliscor. Oops again.

Alright, I think I'll try that again and save Brainfreeze for Gliscor...

So the next few tries involved serious paraflinching off the bat and yeah. They went really bad.

Second Team Vs. Seel

Lucky #6 Lv71

Pearl Lv73

Mozilla Lv73

I have base? Lv75

moar ice pls Lv72

Brainfreeze Lv74

Okay, so hopefully this goes a little better.

Now presenting...!

Poison Jab is the perfect opener because it eats Hyper potions ideally. It does JUST over 200 damage so she wastes all 3 hyper potions and the Poison Jab after the last one takes her out anyway. Then Archeops critquakes both my water types, but luckily gets a weak quake on Brainfreeze who just barely manages to take it out. I have base? Deals with Noivern, Brainfreeze deals with Gliscor (But I lose Mozilla in the process.) I have base? clips the gale wings and Talonflame goes down, just barely. Lucky #6 goes for the Poison Jab on Altaria, knowing the Mega is coming. But Altaria went straight for the earthquake and took me down. So now all I have left is I have base? & Brainfreeze, both on low health. I can sacrifice one to heal the other. Brainfreeze has type advantage but I have base? has raw power. And I THINK she runs Heatwave. All I remember for sure is Return/Earthquake. I gamble on being wrong about that, and send out I have base so I can heal Brainfreeze.

Hyper Voice got me down to 2HP, but my Ice Beam did most of Altaria's health as damage. Seems Ciel runs Hyper Voice and not Return, which I shoulda expected. She goes for an Earthquake after I heal, which gets me to more han half health. It's make or break, I just gotta hope the ai is stupid and doesn't Hyper Voice, and then I win...

Ai wasn't stupid. So next attempt, which I hope will be more the same but I won't lose 2 pokemon to crits at the start.

So, ignoring the three tries where Togekiss flinched the hell out of #6, we have a try that went to a good start. We lost Pearl, but moar ice pls took down Archeops while taking minimal damage. Base? took out Noivern as usual, & moar ice pls dealt with Gliscor. And then Talonflame swept me because Base took too much damge to beat it like last time...

I struggled way less with Ciel on my main file. Then again, I didn't struggle with Samson at al and he was the bane of this file.

Next battle was weird. Ciel switched Togekiss at the last minute which meant that of all things, Lucky #6 dealt with Archeops. lost Base but moar ice pls took out Togekiss, Gliscor & Noivern, taking no damage. Pearl tried to deal with Talonflame but it got off a Swords dance and then I lost again after a brilliant start. Or at least I thought that was the case. But it went with a flare Blitz instead of an Acrobatics to take down moar ice, leaving Brainfreeze, #6 & Mozilla to deal with Altaria. Open with Brainfreeze in hopes of an Icy Wind. Manage to get it off, and a second because Brainfreeze now outsped the Altaria. Then a Poison Jab from #6 and it was finally over.

Suspension Badge get!

So, seeing as it's the end of E15, I should probably organise my team members differently or something. So time for some creative spoiler tagging!

Yeah, I am playing on Episode 15. And I can confirm that the shiny marking on the egg DOES indeed mean the pokemon inside is shiny. I'm looking forward to seeing all the updated Leader fields and everything, personally. While I've played through Earlygame a fewtimes on E14, the only time I've ever gotten past Corey is on my main file, which was done way back in Episode 12, I believe. So I have plenty to experience. On thinking about it more, I quite like the fact that the Park is now small and just with the ZEL battle, it definitely seems more reasonable. A bit weird s/he didn't have any backup, though.

HAHA! So THAT means! I could've soft reset for shiny riolu!? xP Damn it now I'll have to trade for one.

EDIT - Nice shiny collection btw! I almost had a shiny muk but then he used memento. =(
