So, whats up with Terra? Why does she act the way she does? Also? Is she gonna return??
My main question is how she has a Garchomp. Isn't the line supposed to be exclusive to Solaris and Taka's family?

Hell NO!
I always struggle with Solaris
(Insert Sad Noise Here)
He would be a lot easier with ice beam. Or you can just change the weather or terrain

Don't forget, when we were leaving WTC Shade said, that from the foretold deaths, only two are actually deaths. Corey and Kiki are as dead as dead can someone be, Amaria didn't die at the waterfall, so it is almost certain Lin exploding is not a death - technically speaking, more like an avatar of her being destroyed.
He said something like only two souls would be taken. I interpreted that as Lin not having a soul. It kinda explains why she's apparently immortal and why Anna can't see her

I feel like Pulse Arc would be its own fight, not just another mon on Lin's team.
Pulse Muk and Pulse Magnezone were fought on ZEL's team so it's not out of the question for it to be on Lin's team And even on new world field I kinda doubt she would be able to beat all the other AI trainers without it

I would say aside from potential legandaries
I would bet, she gets some strong Dragon type Pokemon like Garchomp (because she used to be the 1st Dragon Gym Leader in Online League of Season 1 back then) or Dark types. Even better yet Pokemon that fit her personality (like Gengar for example) or Pokemon with moves benefitting on the New World field.
That's my assumption for Lin's team.
Noivern, Flygon, and Salamance all seem like good candidates since they don't suffer from the speed loss. I'm betting gardevoir will have a magical seed and stored power

I think it will, because it's impossible to believe that we won't fight her on the New World Field. That might happen for a very short time at least.
I'm thinking the same thing. Looking from the field notes it's made specifically for her ace Hydreigon. Other powerful pokemon benefit too, like metagross, victini, and arceus

On the other hand, I think Cal’s dialogue when he mentions Terra suggests that Lin is a relatively new addition to the team.
Terra probably has some connection to Lin since a journal in her gym references a baby Arceus. I'm interested to see how it will tie into the overall plot

Same, I think it's gonna be something like Gen 7 where Lin is the first opponent we have to face as champion

You have seen the new card right. I may be reading a bit too much into things but i recall that The Fool card symbolized starting from the beginning in certain contexts and considering The New World it's... interesting.
I'm not sure whether the Joker card has any symbolism, and the Ace may be refering to Lin but I think it's something worth thinking about.
The joker card is basically a substitute for any cards the set is missing, kinda like a wild card. In terms of Reborn I think this might just be another hint that Lin is going to be the (unofficial) champion

Well. To let you remember. Should Solaris be defeated in Pyrous Mountain, that proves to inverse. Remember the gauntlet about after fighting against Fern and Blake. After that, Fern said he doesn’t have a sister.
Maybe it will depend on whether you beat Solaris then. Even in agate city he still mentions if you managed to beat him back on pyrous mountain so maybe it could lead to a plot split like with corey

I personally feel as if Saphira's gym challenge will involve the giant steelix somehow
If that's true it might be something like the Opelucid City gym in BW2

Why just one?
Why not most?
I mean, what's stopping them? We're going to see carnage anyway. Might as well make it a spctacle (of bodies).
If that happens we won't be able to rematch most of the gym leaders at the Nightclub

I think one more character (on our side) will die. Dont know who, its just a feeling.
Does Shade count if he's already dead?

Mega-Camerupt could be great against El if he plays Trick Room and you come into his game.
Mega Mawile would be broken under Holy Field and Trick Room. Luckily I already have one so I can come prepared

I expect instead of that it will you its ability to cheat Arceus into his team.
I was under the impression that it only became Arceus due to the energy from the meteor. If our official battle is at the Pokemon League Ditto would only be able to transform into a nearby Pokemon

Could an Iron Ball Ditto be reliable under TR?
Iron ball would make it vulnerable to ground moves if it transforms into a flying type but holding one of the ev training items could achieve the same effect

Her win rate goes from 73% to 97%, so that's about a 33% increase.
That's only a 24% increase. That's still a pretty significant boost tho

Like d00d
Have you read Marcello's post?
She gets a (I think) 25 percent win rate increase, and if I recall correctly has the highest winrate of the E4.
Besides, have you read the description of FG field and how utterly bonkers it is.
I bet most of the NPCs dont have a fire or poison z crystal to completely throw off her strategy

I think its v likely that Anna uses a victini as well as a milotic due to their ability’s receiving a boost in starlight. Btw rip to any of your mons that get hit with that doom desire, holy moley thats ridiculous!
New world field gets the same boosts to victory star so I'm willing to bet Victini will be reserved for Lin.
5 hours ago, RocketOSullivan said:As a Water type rather than Milotic I am pretty sure Anna will use a Starmie.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Starmie since it gets a free Special Attack boost from illuminate and boosted coverage moves like dazzling gleam and aurora beam. Metagross also seems like a good choice for her mega since meteor mash and zen headbutt both get increased power from the field on top of the boost from tough claws

Laura will most likely use Rain, not Sun, since it would be to easy to ignite her field otherwise.
I kinda figured she would use sun since we know she has a Lilligant, which can have Chlorophyl. It also activates Cherrim's flower gift and doubles the effect of growth

He still shouldn’t have any plate whatsoever. Magical Seed gives him a free +1 Special Attack, and Normal type Judgement is 2.8125x stronger than any other Judgement Drampa could use. It doesn’t need to run any moves other than Nature Power and Focus Blast. There is not a single Pokémon in the game that resists both of those moves. There is no context in which an Energy Ball does more than a Judgement.
Also, I don’t understand why people assume that the E4 will be mono typed. Are you really not expecting El to abuse Delphox on this field? Or Sigilyph? And quite frankly, no physical attackers really fit El’s aesthetic, nor do they benefit from the terrain.
Eviolite Type Null could also work for physical ig. I'm not really expecting the E4 to stick to one type, but rather a strategy or theme. El fits as trick room, and i can see Laura as a potential sun user. Not quite sure what heather or anna could be, but i'm fairly certain they''ll use mountain and starlight arena respectively

Also, I think giving Drampa the STAB Judgement is just stronger, since a Fist Plate would sacrifice the 1.5x field boost for normal type moves. STAB Judgement with 1.5x for Judgement, 1.5x for Normal type boost and STAB hits an effective 405 base power. Even if resisted, that is 204 base power. The only coverage that is really necessary is for things that 4x resist it, and the only things that do so are Aggron/Bastiodon etc., hence Focus Blast. Also, Fist Plate is a bad idea since you have to forfeit the magical seed, which gives a free +1 Choice Specs boost and Magic Coat.
Dragon Pulse is also fairly redundant since not a SINGLE Pokémon resists Normal+Fighting. And it doesn't hit a single Pokémon harder besides some rock types, for which we already have Focus Blast.imo a flame plate would be more effective than a fist plate since hyper voice would already hit dark types super effectively and energy ball could be used to deal with rock types.
I also imagine that El would have a physical attacker like Snorlax, Bewear, or Bouffalant so he doesn't get completely walled by a physical tank
