  1. I did use the noitems password! I think it would add fairness and difficulty to the game.
  2. So I attempted the dreaded glass factory gauntlet with only 2 mons, and I think that the PULSE2 password made it even harder. But with quite some experience in Reborn, I was quite happy when I succeeded in the challenge I gave myself!

I recorded the fight below for anyone interested :3

  3. While doing my inanimate objects themed-team PULSE 2 playthrough, I came up with a strat to defeat the glass factory gauntlet with 2 mons! I felt like I achieved quite a feat so I just wanted to share :D My team: 1) Rotom-Wash Moves: will-o-wisp, hydro pump, protect, snatch Item: Waterium-Z The supporting role of the duo, it's job is to status the enemy and annoy them. Hydro Vortex is crucial to KO some mons as well. 2) Klinklang Moves: Protect, Return, Gear Grind, Shift Gear Item: Leftovers The setup sweeper, while fully abusing the Factory field! Find chances to boost and the victory is ours. Leftovers is important for stalling and passive recovery. PS: I made my mons as optimal as I could from EVs and IVs because I was playing with PULSE 2 and had to fully utilize given resources. Fight 1 Fight 2 Fight 3 And that's my attempt to duo the infamous glass gauntlet! My fight was somewhat reliant on RNG, but was the best I could come up with so far. Do share your experiences or opinions with me, or any way that I could've done it better
  4. Assuming you’re using windows, there’s a ‘save folder shortcut’ in Pokémon Reborn’s folder. Select the shortcut, and you will be redirected to the Saved Games folder for reborn. You should find your save files there, the one named Game.rxdata or Game_n.rxdata, where n is for consequent saves (different player). Just upload your save file (Game.rxdata or Game_n.rxdata) to drives like what Aariq said, then just copy the save file into the Saved Games folder of your new device.
  5. The meteors in the museum are not related to the medicine afaik, and I’m not really sure about the meteors, but regarding the medicine, if you have beaten Serra, the mart should teleport to the entrance of tanzan mountain. Herbal extract can be bought in the mart
  6. Another challenge run from me :3 these are really fun when u have time HAHA

My inanimate objects PULSE 2 run is here! This theme was inspired by one of the E4 in reborn's online league XD

Only mons that are mainly inspired by inanimate objects can be used. To add some difficulty, I've used the pulse2 password as well!

I've uploaded it to youtube for anyone interested, views and opinions are greatly appreciated as well!

My 2cents after the first part playthrough:

In the early game, the enemies are significantly tankier, so I'd had to get used to it. I even used the macho brace and ev trained like the old days from E18 (seriously, the QoL for the power items are priceless).

Another thing is most of my mons have a lot of types in common (steel, poison, rock etc), so they shared common weaknesses, like fire, ground, fighting. I had to constantly rotate mons available to me. Most of them had a low base speed as well, and hyper offense (my playstyle of choice) was a bit limited, and required a bit of cheesing (I would say?)

Also, I think pawniard is somewhat controversial (the origin is a chess pawn/ real life pawn, but idk which is the main inspiration), but I'll add it to my roster anyway :P

  7. My untiered mons only run, where only pokemons in the “untiered” smogon tier could be used.
  8. Firstly, I noticed that many of your mons have high offensive capability (eg dragonite, excadrill etc). so I would recommend a (bulky?) screen setter, because it can help your hard-hitters to setup. Tapu Fini (252hp, 252 speed, dual screens, scald) works well for me as a lead, it’s terrain changing ability is also very useful in certain situations. I can see koko to be useful as well if you prefer a speedy screen setter, since koko can volt switch/ u turn out once its job is done, so it can come in multiple times to set screens. (Fini is also ok but you can only manually switch, so it’s up to preference) Secondly, try giving your hard-hitters some setup moves. Dragonite with dragon dance, excadrill with swords dance, gengar with nasty plot etc. Because legendary bosses are very tanky, often you won’t 1HKO them and will get KOd in return. My idea is that once screens are up, you can bring in these mons to setup one or two turns, then you are up for sweeping. Dragonite works exceptionally well with multiscale up in this case. I also suggest quiver dance volcarona if you’re interested. Also, the ultra beasts is quite good for snowballing, eg timid nasty plot naganadel, it can build up speed every time it KOs a mon. For individual mons, Knock off on toxapex is better than liquidation, since it’s more of a utility mon than dishing out damage. Without items, the enemy significantly becomes weaker. Ambipom is by no means a bad lead, but it’s quite situational. To increase its consistence, you can add u-turn to its move set to pívot out once it has used fake out, so it can come in again later to dish out more damage. (Then send in your screen setter/ setup sweeper.) My view is if last resort doesn’t KO, then there’s a good chance ambipom might be the one getting KO’d. Clefable: if you’re going to use tapus to change fields, then soft-boiled can replace misty terrain, and hold leftovers for better longevity. Whimsicott can utilise tailwind to outspeed the enemy (I saw you mentioned nidoking is mediocre, maybe because of its speed?) Btw I’m not sure what nature you opt for your mons, but if it’s an attacker I suggest timid/jolly rather than modest/adamant, because speed control is really important in this game. Other than that, I suggest you can read up field guides when you are preparing for an anomaly fight. A lot of (legendary) mons are situational but very useful in particular situations, plus in E19, it’s a lot easier to grind for EVs and levels, so you can simply train what you feel suitable for a particular fight. Bulky latias, zeraora, marshadow, darkrai, victini, terrakion, magearna are all mons I find quite good, if you have time maybe you can look up for them in smogon~ These are just my 2 cents, might be wrong tho, just take what you think is useful xD
  9. IIRC there’s no function for mass selection for rejuv yet. The one in reborn was only recently added in E19, so hopefully the devs will implement it in the new version to come.
  10. Axelyx

    Silvally

Another option I found good is Eviolite Type Null, 252 HP & SPDEF with careful nature. Give it iron defense, swords dance, rest, return and you have a really bulky setup sweeper.
  11. Balm mushroom is only available after So don’t worry first! Also remember not to sell it when u get it because it’s needed in a sidequest.
  12. Just a thought, but do you have a preference while joining the gangs in reborn? For me I'm going with aqua gang, not sure why but maybe I like the boss' kinda smartass vibe more, or just because I prefer the color blue XD In fact I choose them like 75% of the time I think But the magma grunts are also cute though, I like their dialogue and funny interactions a lot, gives me a laugh every time! Feel free to share your thoughts on this too~
  13. Have you finished all quests from the aqua gang? You have to beat team magma first, then talk to archer in the hideout again.
  14. Agreed that preparations are important, but just to clarify, E19 added the power items and EV berries at the So you can still buy these afterwards if you did miss it at the dept store. Feel free to look for help if you face other challenges in the game~
  15. Last part of my Untiered Mons Run is up! Had to shuffle my team quite a lot, but we managed to pull through! It was a fun journey with these Mons~

Attaching below all the mons I've used or trained so far:

Also this is my first time editing thumbnails and adding subtitles to a video, maybe consider giving it a view? Hehe

  16. Okay so this might not be the flashiest run (I've seen some extremes like mono pikaclones), but my Untiered Mons run has finally completed the main game! so I think it deserves to be shared hehe TLDR I made a video (with detailed commentary) version of my run here!! Drop a view if you are interested, and I highly recommend you to do so HAHA Overall Definitely had some tough moments, but cheese and stall took it through (stall OP). It's not impossible though, these Mons just need more strats and preparation (and trial and error). Brute-forcing without smart tricks is impossible, for me at least. Also, it took me one try to reach this team. Shoutout to my conventional team of Meowstic, Floatzel, Torterra, Turtonator, Rotom-Fan and Glaceon, you guys are the best <3 My Team Electrode (Marshmallow) Role: My lead of choice. It's main job is Taunt & Light Screen, but it hits quite hard against Heather and Elias' Noivern as well! With Volt Switch, it can also serve as a nice pivot. Ability: Aftermath (Nice chip damage) Stats: 252 SpA/ 252 Spe (Swapped SpA for HP during Anna), Timid Moves: Light Screen, Taunt, Volt Switch, Rotation HP Ice, Protect Items: Light Clay, Magical Seed Ditto (Blob) Role: To deal with the OP Mons! When in doubt, just copy the enemy and consider your job done XD However, Blob needs to choice lock into a move afterwards, so I need to be careful with it's usage. Ability: Impostor Stats: 252 HP Moves: Transform (Duhh) Item: Choice Scarf Silvally (Type:Lol) Role: My special attacker of choice, which helps to soften up teams. It's relatively wide movepool makes for quite a lot of combinations, eg Steel + Fire + Normal. I opted for a special set because Untiered had less good special attackers with types good for the E4. Also, I normally didn't let it hold type memories, since field-boosted attacks are equivalent to STABs, so other items were more useful. Also because Silvally-Steel is in NU Ability: Multitype Stats: 252 SpA, 252 Spe, Timid Moves: Heat Wave, Flash Cannon, Hyper Voice, Tailwind, Protect, Toxic, Work Up (I was a fool to forget teaching it Parting Shot) Item: Expert Belt, Focus Sash, Magical Seed Torterra (Todos) Role: My trusty physical setup sweeper! After some support and enemy-softening, Todos gets the KO for the team. Also, direct attacks without setup also works at times. Ability: Shell Armor (Prevents crits while setting up) Stats: 252 Atk, 252 Spe, Jolly (Swapped Atk & Spe to HP & SpD at Lin 1) Moves: Rock Polish, Swords Dance, Earthquake, Nature Power, Seed Bomb, Rock Slide, Rest, Protect Items: Coba Berry, Leftovers, Magical Seed Bastiodon (Wall Sina) Role: My 2nd option for OP Mons! Metal Burst + Sturdy can help take out one difficult enemy mon. Then, Custap Berry allows it to use bulldoze to de-buff the enemy. Also provides Wide Guard support during Bennett & Laura. Ability: Sturdy Stats: 252 HP, 252 SpD, Quiet (Idk why) Moves: Metal Burst, Wide Guard, Protect, Bulldoze, Body Slam, Iron Head, Toxic Items: Custap Berry Rotom-Fan (Ferris) Role: To inflict status and then pivot into a sweeper. Also sets up weather if needed. Also my secondary screen-setter. Also deals a lot of damage in the Lin 2 fight. Also very annoying to the enemy. Ability: Levitate (WHY Gamefreak) Stats: 252 HP, 252 SpD, Timid (Swapped HP & SpD for SpA & Spe in Lin 2) Moves: Will-o-Wisp, Thunder Wave, Volt Switch, Air Slash Reflect, Snatch, Sunny Day, Thunder Items: Leftovers, Chilan Berry, Magical Seed Ranking the Battles (Easiest to Hardest) 1. Heather (3/10) After speedy Electrode prevents Crobat from using tailwind, it's basically a breeze through. I won through a combination of Rock Slide, Thunder and Mega Salamence Ditto. 2. Bennett & Laura (4/10) The main strat is to just change the weather (and the field), then use Heat Waves, Rock Slides, Hyper Voice and an occasional Air Slash. Not much to say when you can change their field. 3. Anna (6/10) Firstly, prevent Aurora Veil using Taunt. Then the rest is to find a chance for Torterra to boost and sweep. In particular, I used screen support and abused the fact that AI uses Wish+Protect on Sylveon when it can't OHKO me, creating an opening for me to boost. 4. Lin 1 (7/10) Same as Anna, prevent the disgusting veil and find a chance to sweep. The biggest opening was her scarf Garchomp, EQ forced it to switch when I sent in Rotom, so its switch out made me paralyze her Gardevoir. Here I had to change my Torterra's EVs to be as specially defensive as possible, then with screens up, I used Gardevoir for boosting. 5. Lin 2 (9/10) The key here was to abuse Sucker Punch, Magical Seeds and recharge turns. Her Honchkrow will use Sucker Punch on weakened Mons, so I just took my chance and switch in a Mon with Magical Seed, resulting in an omniboost with no recharge turn (In my case, Silvally). I also had to be careful with Unaware Clefable though, as it ignored my boosts, so I used toxic to stall it (stall OP). I used Bastiodon to deal with the ARC-PULSE, by using metal burst. However it was not enough to kill (stupid me forgot screens were still up), so I had to resort to toxic stall once more (#stallOP). 6. Elias (10/10) Okay hear me out, ExtremeSpeed Dragonite is f*king OP. My first team lost here. It basically 2HKOs my whole team bar Bastiodon (which had no offensive capability), so there was no safe switch-in. I resorted to PP stall his ESpeed, had to sash my Silvally, use a ton of protects, burn it and set up reflect, force it to switch out after depleting its PP, then burn the next Mon coming in. After that, it was a matter of using Ditto to copy Elias' super OP Mons and give him a taste of his own medicine. Also, his Ditto couldn't transform because he faced my transformed Ditto, which was hilarious af. And that's my post to share my Untiered Mons run! Thank you for reading XD and feel free to share your thoughts with me! I believe there surely will be other better strats, but this is what I came up with :P
  17. Just give back the original gigalith that you evolved. As long as it’s the same OT number, he will still accept the Pokémon~
  18. If you mean route 3 before Charlotte, I would recommend lycanroc (dusk/ midday), accelerock helps with her fire gym. Splintered stormshards helps a lot in the late game to clear fields as well. I also like using whimsicott (route 4) as support for tailwind/weather etc., but it might be personal preference XD
  19. 4th part of my Untiered Mons run!

E4 and the champion is coming up next, hope my team can win over the main game's final challenge 😆

In the meantime, feel free to drop a view for the current part first~
