Help with EV training Talonflame for Titania battle
Rendolf replied to DelRad's topic in Online Play
If you're dead set on keeping special attack, then speed would be the way to go, however I would recommend against special attack since Talonflame's special movepool is awful outside of its Fire STAB and it doesn't get any special Flying moves, making Gale Wings useless. -
Please help me trade a shiny pichu (I have one too)
Rendolf replied to Whippy's topic in Online Play
Honestly if you're using it for your playthrough IVs don't really matter that much. A Pokemon with bad IVs can perform nearly as well as one with perfect IVs, so if you just wanted to use your own shiny you wouldn't be missing out on very much. Also for Alolan Raichu remember to not use a Thunder Stone on it until you get to Apophyll Beach, otherwise it will become Kantonian instead. -
Help with EV training Talonflame for Titania battle
Rendolf replied to DelRad's topic in Online Play
At the Mosswater Market in the Peridot Ward, you can buy EV reset discs for each stat to bring them down to 0 in that stat so you can train up both Attack and Speed. You can also buy berries that lower the EVs by 10 points each on the second floor of the Obsidia Department Store as well as raising friendship. -
Yes you can catch Staravia on Route 3, but you actually gain access to that route a little while after getting your 10th badge (Fighting). You also have a 1/18 chance to get a Starly from the police Growlithe mystery egg.
-
No problem! Also for future reference you can only catch Nidoran down in the Byxbysion Grotto and not up in the Wasteland itself if you weren't looking there already.
-
You can buy a Nidoran-M in the Onyx Game Corner for 3,000 coins.

Is there any like way to get ivs up really easily?
Rendolf replied to Yooommeee's topic in Online Play
If you mean EVs instead of IVs, you can use the Power items that are purchased in the Obsidia Department Store and then looking up Pokemon that give the EVs you're looking for and farming those. If you do actually mean IVs it's a bit more complicated, but it involves finding Pokemon with perfect IVs and breeding them onto the Pokemon you want using a Destiny Knot (which transfers 5 of the parents' IVs to the child instead of the standard 3) and/or Power items (which transfer the holder's particular stat to its child). -
If you're talking about the room I think you are, you need to push the Strength boulders in a way so that you can interact with all three containers to have the entrance open up. It requires you to not block them together and leave yourself a path to get through to all of them and back out.
-
You can farm them from wild Luvdisc using a Pokemon with the ability Frisk and the move Thief. Frisk isn't even fully necessary since half the Luvdisc should hold them and you can pretty much just knock them out with Thief as fast as running away. If you want to optimize it further you can lead with a fainted Pokemon with Compound Eyes since that will increase the wild held item chance from 50% to 60%.

Where is the first place I can get a metal coat?
Rendolf replied to MasterfulOverlord's topic in Reborn City
I think the Metal Coat only becomes available after the 7th badge, even though the area that you get it is accessible before the gym battle. When you get the badge, the level cap goes from 55 to 60, so your Pokemon will all probably be level 55 or lower. -
The event is triggered in his gym post restoration, but before it you need to go to the rooftop in the Beryl Ward.
-
He will only appear at night during I think clear weather, so make sure that you have both of those covered when you check for him.

U-Turn is not an egg move for Flygon's line and although it used to be the case that the father could pass down a compatible TM move to the offspring, that feature was removed in Gen 6, though it wouldn't have worked anyway since Trapinch isn't able to learn U-Turn by TM (or any other way) until it evolves.
-
The TM for U-Turn is not available in the game as of Episode 18, so a lot of the Pokemon that should be able to learn it cannot yet, through legitimate means anyway.
-
"hard mode, maybe" I- I don't even know what to say to that...
-
Nah there's an event one you can get in the Rhodocrine Jungle via Beryl Cave if the weather is clear (maybe other weathers too, I can't remember) and you do NOT have an Ill-Fated Doll in your bag.

When the city is restored, you'll only lose access to the part of the Grand Stairway that you originally entered from inside the Grand Gates with Cain and Radomus, the part that leads to the Citae d'Astrae. The part that you enter from the Grand Stairway itself that leads down to the sealed door where you first met Solaris is still accessible when you come back. And yes, you're right that the city will be restored the next time you come back. If you haven't already, I would recommend buying all the Pokemon from the vendor down in 7th Street since the reward you get for that is quit

Was this against Adrienn? Because at the start of xyr gym battle the terrain is Misty which prevents all status conditions from activating.

Gen IV fossils (Skull, Armor): where art thou?
Rendolf replied to Gibilloarrate's question in On the Hunt
Sorry, but mining is the only way to get the fossils from gens 1, 3, and 4, unless someone trades them to you. -
[NOT A BUG]Bronzor isnt learning moves at said levels
Rendolf replied to Execute_Nix's topic in Reborn Bug Reporting
To see the other generations' learnsets on Bulbapedia you need to click on one of these roman numerals in the top right of the box. In this case you would click on VII for gen 7, as that is what Reborn is based in. -
For starters, is there a reason why you have Sunny Day on Ninetales instead of just using Drought? They have the same functionality except Drought will automatically set up for you when you switch in, allowing you to save a turn and a move slot. If your Ninetales currently has Flash Fire instead, you can just use an Ability Capsule to swap it over which you can buy for shards at the south of Agate Circus or the north of 7th Street You could replace Sunny Day with an attacking move, like Solar Beam for instance, the TM for which is available in the Beryl Library after you finish the Klefki side

If you headbutt trees in the Beryl Ward you have a 5% chance of finding an Ambipom that can range from level 45 all the way up to 90. If you spend enough time doing it you should eventually be able to get 6 high level ones, and if they don't have Pickup off the bat you can use Ability Capsules to change them or just look for more.

Nah, he wanted you to give him a Pidove so it could evolve into a Staraptor.
