1. Having a clear skies tier is fine. What isn't fine is whining about not being able to use the pokemon you enjoy using. When I read post #14 on the previous page, I thought to myself, how old is this guy - 10? Using your attachment to a favorite pokemon to argue why weather is unfair. Seriously? If you like Eevee, fine. If you want to use Eevee, nobody's stopping you. Complaining that Eevee is inferior to Gastrodon in the sand? L.M.F.A.O. If you want to use your favorite obscure pokemon without getting stomped, there's the NU tier. Ladder there sometime. I wouldn't mind the free ratings.
2. Nice. I actually believe that some forms of ESP exist and are experimentally replicable.
3. I lol'd @ Breloom's nickname. Genius. The most significant change that I recommend is to swap out Torterra with Roserade. Toxic spikes are much more deadly in the Monotype tier than OU, as by definition far fewer teams have pokemon capable of soaking or spinning them away. Roserade's poison typing absorbs the toxic spikes that other teams set, while also being able to set up 2 layers of your own. 90/100.
4. Good team. I wouldn't worry too much about monobug, monoflying, monoice and monofire teams. Some matches can't be won. What you should be concerned about though, is face one of the other 13 monotype teams who happen to have a pokemon strong against grass. Dual types such as Victini and Yanmega who can find their way on multiple teams are the biggest threats. 85/100. I also have several UU Monotypes, so PM me if you want to test this team out on a level playing field.
5. Maelstrom, all you're doing is strengthening my case. Due to the inability to predict misses and crits, it's not only possible, but very likely over a series of battles that a player making optimal moves will lose to a player who makes mistakes. Thus, even if one knows and executes the best moves possible, he is still far from invincible. Furthermore, you neglect to answer how Player B could have possibly won the battle in the situation described above. Changing your team can rememdy one particular weakness, but it inevitably opens up another. Your argument would mean something if you knew what the "challenges presented by different people" were ahead of time, but as you don't, your argument is invalid. Your final statement is the best. You openly acknowledge that a variety of unpredictable factors influences who wins and loses, yet you somehow argue that it's possible for someone to manipulate these odds to win each and every time. Yes Maelstrom, battling is not static like a math formula. This is exactly why you're undebatably, irrefutably wrong. If it were like a math formula, crits and misses would be predictable, and one might be able to win every match. In short, Pokemon is not a solved game. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solved_game
6. Much better without Politoed. No such thing as a wild card in monotypes. I would personally replace Empoleon with Skarmory, as you'll need something to stop Earthquakes. This would also free up the Stealth Rock slot on your Ferrothorn, which you could replace with either Swords Dance or Thunder Wave.
7. Remainder 4 EVs in SpA because at level 5, 4 EVs have no effect on stats.

Haha...this thread made my day
9. With the imminent release of the LC tier, I thought it'd be appropriate to post the staple of my LC team. Evasion Sweeper Exeggcute (M) @ Oran Berry Trait: Harvest EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SpA) - Double Team - Substitute - Swords Dance - Bullet Seed The trick is to switch in on a pokemon that doesn't threaten exeggcute and set up a Double Team. Then, you can continue to spam Substitutes until your opponent misses, with Oran Berry restoring your HP every time your health drops below 50%. Harvest has a 50% chance of recycling your Oran Berry each turn, and the beauty of it is that it continues to work even if did not activate the previous turn. It's up to you whether to set up multiple Double Teams or power up with Swords Dance. I personally prioritize DT over SD, as your opponent cannot afford to have a string of misses against Exeggcute. Bullet Seed is the STAB of choice, as it has great accuracy and and huge supply of PP at 48.
10. You know you're a noob when you ask someone to battle using monoflying team, then load your monorock team.
11. Liking the creativity. Never considered a monotype doubles before.
12. 95/100 Great team. Very retro. Keldeo could give it some trouble though.
13. Finally graduate from university after four years. Happiest day every. Realize I now have to pay back $27,500 in student loans and can't get a job that pays more than $42,000 a year.
14. Monodragon might be good
15. Way to step up Mogwai. Looking forward to LC's release!
16. BL Sweeper (Blissey) (F) @ Leftovers Trait: Serene Grace EVs: 252 Def / 252 SpA / 4 HP Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Heal Bell/Minimize - Softboiled - Charge Beam - Ice Beam As the name suggests, this set is particularly viable in the BL tier. Serene Grace gives Blissey a guarenteed +1 SpA boost every time she uses Charge Beam, and an awesome 1 in 5 chance of freezing every time Ice Beam is used. The electric/ice combo is great type coverage, and with great bulk, Blissey can accumulate boosts very efficiently. Minimize is a tantalizing option over Heal Bell, but will leave Blissey vulnerable to Toxic. On my team, this Blissey is paired with Baton Passing Mew (Max HP + SpD), who gives Blissey Iron Defence and Nasty Plot. The Nasty Plot is not necessary, as Blissey can easily boost herself, but serves only as a coupe de grace. Three Iron Defences will put Blissey at 520 defence, taking only ~30% from Victini's V-Create and ~40% from Meloetta's Close Combat. As with any setup set, this Blissey is vulnerable to phazers and hazers. Unaware Quagsire loses to this set unless it has Scald, as it's destined to be frozen after a few hits.

Muk

By far the best perish trapper in NU is murkrow. With Eviolite, prankster, roost and protect, he's very good at what he does. The other NU pokemon that might run perish song (ie. Lapras & Wigglytuff) can kiss their ass goodbye after a boosted focus punch.
18. Valkyria

Muk

Evasion Abuse Muk (M) @ Black Sludge Trait: Poison Touch EVs: 252 HP / 6 Atk / 252 SDef Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk) - Minimize - Curse - Poison Jab - Mud Bomb/Focus Punch The idea behind this set is to switch in on something that doesn't threaten Muk and rapidly accumulate evasion boosts. As this set maximizes Muk's great special bulk, it can come in on most special attackers. Minimize gives +2 evasion, and should always take priority over Curse. That can wait until you're at +6 evasion. Poison Jab is preferable over Gunk Shot, as it has 4x more PP, and 30% more accuracy. It doesn't effect steels, so Mud Bomb is there for super-effective type coverage, further lowering your opponent's accuracy. Focus Punch is an option over Mud Bomb, as it's more than twice as strong (base 150 power), and has great synchrony with Minimize. Skarmory walls this set, but I don't see it falling to the NU tier in the foreseeable future.
19. Psychic, mostly because I happen to believe extrasensory perception (ESP) is real.
20. As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words. Anyone can say they respect Reborn's tiers, but when it came to standing up to a mod, I was the only one.
21. "Do you honestly think PO/Smogon/PBC people have spirit?" PBC was never mentioned. But as the first post indicates, the PO does have greater spirit in many ways. "From what I see, I think you've got the ideal that we'll be big on battling. Hate to burst your bubble, Reborn isn't designed like that." Having a variety of tournaments and congratulating the winners does not make Reborn big on battling. "If you think having a variety of tournaments is spirit..You've got another thing coming. Spirit isn't about the variety of tournaments." No, but variety does facilitate interest. Repeated exposure to the same stimuli results in habituation (boredom). You also didn't address how adding variety would harm Reborn in any way. "It is about the way people fight INSIDE the tournament. The way they say GG after a fight. And after the tournament." Yes, yes it is. And instead of players complaining that they lost because their opponents used Moody, Evasion and Excadrill, I'm advocating that we accept Reborn's tiers for what they are, graciously take a win or less, and appropriately congratulate the winners. "To me it seems like you want recognition for winning something, which in my books isn't right. You shouldn't expect recognition. It's like being cocky. whehehe i got rekognized br0000 im so gud at errythan 1111!111" Why does Reborn award badges? Rhetorical question. The answer is as a form of recognition for winning against members of the league. Why are medals awarded at the Olympics? Why are latin honors presented to the top percentile of a graduating class? They are all forms of recognition for exceptional performance. For the sake of your humility, I won't rip this up any further.
22. That's what makes this so unusual Shirinui. Tiers were never mentioned. The mod made a blanket statement that self-respecting players just shouldn't use Moody. If he holds that view himself, whatever, but the instant he tries to push others to believe the same, he's stepping out of line. Oh, and Moody is perfectly acceptable in NU. If you disagree, show me where it says otherwise. All rules have a basis in writing. If you truly feel that implementing these changes will somehow altar Reborn's seriousness, then alright. It's the if-its-not-broken-dont-fix it perspective and I completely respect that.
23. McZipo, gonna have to ask where you're getting the statistic that most people "don't even like battling." Your first and second points have already been addressed by post 14. You're agreeing with me on the third point. For the fourth point, indicate where I mentioned anything about bragging rights. Most importantly, how will implementing these changes make Reborn less of a community?
