  1. Pokemon Reborn has one-thousand, one-hundred, and seventy-nine battles. Now, while a few of these are only available through illegitimate means – such as Tham the Tench Engine and Mr. Meow Mix – and many more are random trainers with no distinguishing features whatsoever, knowing your enemy and knowing yourself can carry you to victory through all of them. About three weeks ago, I decided to start a mono-Bug run, and – inspired by watching Run and Bun videos – wanted to go for as few faints as possible with clear, clean lines. As such, I would need to understand the AI's behavior. However, while the basic information about the AI – it works based off scores for each action it can take – I couldn't find a full document detailing how these scores were calculated anywhere (for good reason), so I (someone with poor reason) decided to make it myself. Anyway, here's a 125 page document detailing the 12676 lines of code that make up the Battle_AI.rb file in the Pokemon Reborn code as of v19.5.26. It's broadly organized into 3 parts: Item AI, switching AI, and move AI, with the vast majority of the doc taken up by move score calculations. I hope it's understandable, please tell me if anything is not, and I damn hope this document helps at least one other person. (Feel free to port this to Google Docs or something, I'm just a "torture myself with Microsoft Office" type of girl). Pokemon Reborn AI.docx
  2. Without redoing Delpha's spirte, this doesn't look like it's possible without completely redoing Delpha's sprite, sorry. Delpha's sprite in Rejuvenation is significantly wider than the Reborn sprites are.
  3. It’s only been about two years since I joined reborn and only a year since I joined the community but I wanted to say thank you for making a great game and a great community. Thank you ame, cass, and the rest of the reborn gang for being cool people. - Willow (Arc)
  4. Shoot, sorry to hear that you got Covid, but its good to hear that you're doing better. Hope that recovery goes well! The pics and videos look great, just like the rest of Rejuv, and v13 looks like it will be amazing as always.
  5. Regardless, the best characters are Truckguy, Pianolady, and the various Team Xen Grunts we find trapped places. And I would really just like to retire to either Neo-Gearen or move in with Tesla when the story's over. Everyone else can bother with romance, I just want to not have to worry about everyone else.
  6. Or Madame X, and by extension Team Xen, could be secretly against Indriad. That journal that I mentioned also talks about stopping Yveltal from destroying everything. Also based on the journal, I'm growing more and more convinced that Yveltal was what destroyed Hiyoshi City. 1. Indriad summons/unleashes Yveltal in past Aevium. 2. Yveltal causes widespread destruction. 3. Yveltal is killed. (There are bombs in Zone Zero, those could have been used) 4. Yveltal sucks in the life force from Hiyoshi, turning it into Zone Zero.
  7. I've said it before, Madame X's Yveltal is ABSOLUTELY related to Indriad. We even have a diary under the secret lab about how the Yveltal is how "he" sees and whatever. I'd say that Team Xen, Angie, Melanie, the Surfers, and possibly Crescent all tie back to Indriad somehow.
  8. Double checked, and you are correct. As of now, the only alolan grimer you can get is the shadow one from one of the zetta battles.
  9. The corrupted cave is in the kakori village safari zone.
  10. Look, I know that Indriad is an evil cultist and all, but I feel bad for him based on this art. He looks like Keta - tired and old. Love the art though, it really helps flesh out the characters.
  11. Ah, it's been a while since I played through the game. Maybe I should start up a casual difficulty file just to re-find all these small details that I've forgotten.
  12. Based on the importance of the Sinnoh trio, it's not impossible.
  13. So after moving some saves to my actual computer, I loaded up and remembered something that bothered me about a month ago. Ana. In present Aevium, ANA is an android who is currently on the run from Bladestar and “V” and has a collection of memories with her grandmother. Ana also shares a sprite with the “secret” Player Character. Third, there is a gravestone by the Hiyoshi City house in both Past and Present Aevium that reads: “To our dear friend, Ana. May you rest peacefully forever”. The house mentioned is the same one where the MC has memories of other lives happen. Based on the connections between Ana and the player characters, could she have something to do with the plot as a whole? Also, I found a book in the Blacksteeple cabin, the one that we first meet Braixen at, that has a book about domestic abuse. This is a VERY small detail, but it is owned by “someone” named “Anathea” who plays a much larger role during the Hiyoshi arc and buildup to the Calamity.
  14. Does anyone have a transcript of Nymeria's story? I remember seeing it, but I only remember the broad strokes, and I can't get back without restarting a non-insignificant amount of chapters.
  15. Debug mode is basically a pseudo-save editing program. Most of it is developer stuff, but you can edit Pokemon, money, etc. Yes you can abuse it. No you should not abuse it. Don't use it to hack in 6 max EV/IV Arceus before the first gym. Don't use it to give yourself 20000 master balls. Don't use it to get max money - use the (now-removed) discount Gourmet Treat guy for that. Me personally, I made my Lycanroc shiny because I lost my old save file with a shiny Lycanroc that I had become fond of. No IV changes, just a cosmetic change. I also warp between maps to see events again and help form my fan-theories.
  16. The flashback scene doesn't have the MC or Melia in it at all, and we do have the Past Aevium/West Gearen chapter between Valor Mountain and arriving in Terrial. Plus, Saki's jumpy-robot-thingy is seen crashed behind the group who is there, and that is present when we first reach Route 7. Valerie still has blue hair, placing it as pre-GDC. It's also Delpha's flashback, not the MC/Melia's and the (cut)scene where the flashback takes place in is Course, that doesn't excuse her manipulation of Ren or abduction of Jenner, but it could explain the change between "down with team Xen/interest in the Interceptor" and "let's kill Melia's friends".
  17. In the Secret Shore Xen lab, there's a dive spot that takes you to a small room with a model Yveltal cocoon and a book titled "Yveltal's Demise". When read, the book first lists Yveltal's pokedex stats - height, weight, types, ability - then reads: "The Yveltal is the key. The Yveltal is how he knows. The Yveltal is how he spies. He stalks us." "Upon the death of Yveltal, it sucks the life force from every living thing around it and then reverts into a cocoon. I believe that this is his trap. It's a failsafe. A way to get back if all else fails. I have to find a way to destroy Yveltal while also preventing the impending doom that is a result of its own demise. If I do that, then I win." I don't know if that relates to the new Calamity or the old, but it seems like it could give some clues.
  18. Do you have any of the Golden Items? They're HM replacement items you can get for achievement points in Gearen.
  19. Could Xenpurgis be Rift Yveltal? It's definitely connected with Team Xen, Madame X was collecting people to sacrifice at Blacksteeple and brought Yveltal along with her visit, Team Xen has a secret facility with a replica Yveltal cocoon and a journal with "it's how he sees" near it, and Rift Yveltal would probably be capable of easily destroying the region and a large portion of the population. Plus, if the story really was decided in 2015, that's before Gen VII came out, making it easy to have the main legendaries be the Sinnoh trio, Kalos trio, and Arceus.
