  1. Sounds fun, i've decided to try it out. ( http://my.gpxpl.us/renowner )
  2. I don't think its OU material, its definitely ubers to me. All those damage statistics were with 0 hp, and 0 def/sp.def investments, and I think base 95 speed is quite a bit, its faster than kyogre, groudon, dialga, zekrom, reshiram, both of giratina's forms, ho-oh, and speed ties with rayquaza, and of course kyurem-w. And that's just the pokemon in ubers. Its speed is certainly not bad enough in my oppinion to recommend him for OU play. There will always be counters in OU and lower tiers for ubers, that doesn't mean that they should be bumped down. Ferrothorn completely stops kyogre, but that doesn't change anything, ferrothorn is outclassed by most other ubers. Yes, Kyurem-B's physical movepool isn't that great, but with JUST outrage, it can destroy lots of pokemon, and total walls. With a choice scarf, it can out-speed most any pokemon that doesn't itself have a choice scarf, and with its great bulk, a choice band isn't out of the question, and in that case.....we're all doomed. Marowak may have a great attack stat, but it's wtih an item, and it doesn't compare to a choice band to many pokemon (except you can still use all your moves) and its speed is awful and it cannot survive most attacks, one or two at best on the physical side. Its good for trick room teams, but not much else. Kyurem-B has the second highest attack stat of any real pokemon, second only to attack form deoxys, and has the second highest base stat total, tied with Kyurem-W, and second only to Arceus itself. So even if its movepool isn't that great, I don't think having some OU pokemon that can defeat if if they get an attack off, and a slightly bad movepool make it OU material, I think it would definately be a great choice-sweeper in Ubers play, its outrage attack would be devastating to any pokemon, that hasn't buffed up its defense considerably. I suppose it doens't hurt to test it for awhile, but most OU teams are definately going to probabally use it, and will definately need a counter for it. And I also must say that you've done a great job arguing your points.
  3. I do have ONE thing I feel you should know, that may make you wanna switch moves. The accuracy of zap cannon, and dynamicpunch under gravity is 83%. Not 94, Still hits more often than stone edge, but It's still low enough for me to reconsider.
  4. Zenux said the reward wouldn't be black licorice! I'm gonna trust her.
  5. I try to encourage teamwork, but too many people like killing... It'd be cool if one game could happen where all 9 people were working together the whole game. I want that candy!
  6. Wow, a forretress that uses gravity, that's pretty cool. The only potential problem I see with this team is that it lacks anybody resistant to water attacks, and that you don't have any priority moves. The choice scarf landorus is good at speed, but I don't see HP Ice doing much without a sp.atk investment. I think you're in trouble of stopping kingdra, or a strong pokemon that can boost its speed, such as blazaken and dragonite. Though the team could also do very well, especially if you can keep the sandstorm up. All-in-all I applaud you for trying a gravity team, and I think using durant in it was a very good idea, abusing hustle that way.
  7. Love the narrations you gave, very nicely done. Also: Ditto is awesome. Period. Looks like a pretty good team.
  8. All I know is that smogon banned magicarp if you use a politoad with drizzle. (swift swim) But a sandslash with a tyrannitar isn't banned. Genesect dosen't strike me as an uber pokemon though, sure its boring fighting the same lead a bunch of times in a row (usually the same team too) but he wasn't hard to counter if you thought about it enough. zapdos with hidden power fire or heatwave could usually take the hit and finish it. Same with dragonite with fire punch. Heatran usually works. If you have a scarf on your team, probabally a fire type move on it would be good if you're afraid of genesects. Especially ditto, boy is it fun to pull that stuff off, you copy its boost, get another boost by copying its download, as long as you don't jump in after a fire attack you're generally doing well.
  9. Alright then. Love to see the finalized dex when its ready.
  10. It isn't really that huge of a deal, but it can get annoying after you see it. I thought about just messaging people, but there are way too many different people that did this for me to message. (easier just to do this) Anyway, the error is: When most (maybe all) The people in the research center do their initial post, showing the guidelines of posting sets for a certain Pokémon, they say "To submit a set for this Pokémon, please Copy and Paste the following code into a new reply and fill it out accordingly. Please post only set per reply." The error in that is: It says please post ONLY SET per Pokémon. Doesn't say one like it should. Anyway, thanks for your time. -Grammar police out.

  12. Well, I've used clefable ALL THE TIME in OU, and the lower tiers, and usually dominates the enemies. The key being to set up on somebody that doesn't have a fighting type attack first. Just because a pokemon isn't OU doesn't make it weak. Take shuckle for example, i've been having fun sweeping teams with him lately (Ou, and once an ubers team that made the mistake of letting it set up, not sure if it was the "noobish ubers" Or someone who knew that tiers.) And clefable has taken out many baton passing teams before, as well as pokemon that stat-up in general. As for the low sp.atk, it generally isn't that bad. In uu though, I have passed calm mind and shell smash to it, which really just makes it overkill once you set up further. As for the fighting types you mentioned, Clefable usually doesn't fear them. He/she usually gets to at least +2 before they swap in a fighting type, and at that point stored power/focus blast usually takes them out anyway. (I'm not the only one who baton passes to mr.mime anymore? :| )
  13. For that, there are two reasons. First and foremost is that Its an impossible combination to have softboiled and unaware on clefable. Secondly, toxic would cripple it, and to a lesser extent, burns and regular poison damage. It can really add up. As for focus blast, it hits dark types for super effective damage, and that's generally the only time I wouldn't use stored power anyway. Besides steel/psychic types. I also have been known to pass shell smash or calm mind to it, but not always. Either way, I find it to be a very effective set, when applied properly. (Clefable isn't able to learn seismic toss with the ability unaware anyway either XD )
  14. That's not quite like my set, I wouldn't use it. It doesn't have any recovery move. Though the charge beam boost could be nice. The moves I used were: -Rest -Cosmic power -Focus blast -Stored power Shedninja, Spiritomb, and sableye wall it though
  15. Well, I apologize as this may get slightly off topic, but I do have another way to counter evasion teams, and baton pass teams in general, that nobody seems to have spoken up about yet. Its an ability, one that I used to use all the time, back when I played OU, and still even when I played BL, UU, And even NU. The ability i'm talking about is Unaware! Only seven Pokemon have it, three of which I'd consider viable Pokemon to use it with, two In OU. (This excerpt was taken out of bulbapedia's entry for the ability unaware: http://bulbapedia.bu...aware_(ability) ) "Unaware ignores the foe's positive or negative stat changes, with the exception of Speed. For example, if the foe uses Iron Defense, and a Pokémon with this Ability uses a physical move on the foe, the damage dealt will be the same as if Iron Defense was not used. Likewise, if the foe has previously been affected by Tail Whip, damage dealt to it by the Pokémon with Unaware will be as if Tail Whip had not been used" However, it also negates the foes evasion changes. Allowing your attacks to hit the with the same probability as it would originally The seven Pokemon with this ability are: Clefable, Whooper, Quagsire, Bidoof, Bibareal, Woobat, and Swoobat. I consider Clefable and Quagsire to be useable in OU, and Bibareal useable in NU. (but i'm sure all the cheep-cheeps out there will wanna use moody on bibareal if they use it at all ) Quagsire is fine in theory, but it does have a 4x weakness to grass, and I just have worse luck than normal using him, too many critical hits. My favorite, all the way back from the months and months and months ago that I started using it is always: CLEFABLE. The beauty of clefable is that it has many many different routes you can use with it, a calm mind set, a belly drum set, or even just a toxic set. (also there's my set )And most people don't see it enough to figure out what you'll do with it until the second battle. Another Possible counter to evasion is destiny bond, My qwilfish and bannete both have destiny bond, and both have stopped a drifblim pass recipient before with destiny bond, it doesn't miss, and goes through substitues, and if they take you out, they'll die too. The bonus of banette is that it also gets curse, and rc55 has already said how that is helpful. Curse also allows you to (if you're using Trick room) set up trick room, and not rely on your opponent to K.O. you after using destiny bond. So, in conclusion, unaware and destiny bond are two more ways to deal with evasion. If you go with unaware, depending on the set you use it with, it can also counter ditto. And unaware stops many stat boosting pokemon from becoming a problem, such as surperior, smeargle, dragonite, volcarona, and cloyster. The only downside to this is that only (generally) 3 useable pokemon get the ability, and if the enemy uses a strong v-create, close combat, superpower, or any of the -2 Sp.atk after use attacks, it will actually work in the opponents favor. DESTINY BOND. UNAWARE. (P.S. If you want my Clefable set, just to see what I tried, feel free to P.M. me. The clefable thread in this forums was closed off )
  16. I like the idea of a link stone, Nice touch! C-ya phoenix, I always thought you were an effective Part of reborn authority.
  17. I think that could be an interesting idea, there are some pokemon in ubers with little to no chance, manaphy is definitely one of them, can't stand its own in ubers. I don't agree with excadrill, but I may agree with the jirachi part. I think rayquaza could also go into it, it doesn't have the same sheer ability as kyogre and groudon do, too slow to be a great mixed attacker without setup. SKYmin might also fit into this catagory, but it might overshadow jirachi. I don't think so though.
  18. Welcome! If you're the lord of stone, I hope you appreciate the incredible powers of shuckle! Have fun here at reborn.
  19. Did somebody say ditto?! But seriously, you seemed like a nice guy, fun to talk to. Hope you have a good life!
  20. I can see you went in your own direction for all of your sets, and I really respect that. It also seems to do well you say? That's very nice, The only thing I don't like, is the misspelled dragon claw (and its swords dance) It'd be fun to battle your team sometime.
  21. Not even gonna touch that one.
  22. You aren't wrong, but that's already been said...... Pidgey, and spearow being able to carry not only a 10+year old kid, and his pokemon, (wich btw should crush your back since they can't really destroy the matter so it should still weigh as much as all the pokemon no matter how small the pokeball is) But every single item inside the bag.......the 99 full restores, and the bike..... Across a continent. Nidoking and nidoqueen, despite being ground types, being able to surf! A game that promotes evolution, allows a ROCK TYPE, to look like a TREE and attack people who water it.... Meaning throughout its entire existance, bonsly and sudowoodo chose the evolutionary path of looking like the thing that would be MOST likely to come into contact with the liquid they hate most. Great evolutionary smarts.
  23. Alright, kudos on thinking outside the box. Hmm.... could be a fun thing to try! Wouldn't rely on other pokemon setting up trick room. Leftovers IS nice, but rollout misses a lot for me.... I may try it with a wide-lens, Shuckle doesn't have much hp anyway, so the hp given every turn won't be very much. quick claw could also be nice.
  24. You aren't gonna get 56 defense into being decent. Not even if you made it around 120 with no H.P. investment.
