  1. This is a fun set I thought up for my teams of pokemon people rarely use! This ungodly beast of a pokemon utilizes sacred blood rituals sacrificing longevity for an unrivaled base attack stat, 110 points higher than the maximum attack stat of the infamous attack form Deoxys! Watch as your enemies crumble beneath your insurmountable physical prowess! Well...without further ado... Here is the offensive god! Shuckle! [ #1 physical beast ] -Shuckle m/f @ air baloon/ wide lens Ability: sturdy -E.V.s: 248 hp, 252 attack, 8 defense [ Relaxed ] -Power trick -Rock blast/rock slide/ stone edge -earthquake -Gyro ball This first set needs support in the form of trick room, With a speed of 13, it practically guarantees the first move in the battle if noone uses prirority! Furthermore gyro ball will have 150 power if the enemies speed is 78 or more, which is almost always possible. With a gargantuan 614 attack stat, and decent type spread, it can destroy many a pokemon. I personally prefer rock blast over the other rock moves to neutralize sashes and sturdy or subs, but it does generally have the least reliability. I use wide lens so that the rock moves don't miss as often. Though air balloon can potentially be used to keep your hp at full and let your sturdy guarantee another K.O. Counters for this set are priority physical attacks, pokemon that stop trick room, and probabally ferrothorn. All in all, they won't know what to expect, and this will catch them completely off guard the first battle you have against them! It has great sweeping potential with trick room, and since power trick doesn't swap your sp.atk/sp.def. you can still take a few sp.atk hits! Destroying volcarona and thunderous outside of trick room! When you think of the highest base attack stat, no longer is it Deoxys....its Shuckle. Set #2: [ You have HOW MUCH ATTACK?!?! ] [Shuckle] M/f @choice band/ wide lens ability: sturdy E.V.s: 248 hp, 252 defense, 8 sp.def. Relaxed nature Moves: - bug bite - rock blast/rock slide/ stone edge - earthquake -gyro ball This set needs a bit more help to pull off, but can actually (if abusing the choice band) come out onto the field with 921 attack! No boosts outside of choice band! That's pretty incredible. Same as before except you not only need trick room support but power trick support, You need somebody to baton pass it to shuckle. The two pokemon that can do this are smeargle (recommended) and medicham/meditite. Once again, you can choose whatever rock move you prefer, in doubles rock slide would probably be best. So there you have it! The pokemon everyone uses for laughs.... Has actually been hiding a power that is greater than anything any other pokemon can initially come out with! Without offensive boosts. With the right set-up you can sweep 2-5 pokemon depending on how many sp.atackers they have, however: be wary of physical priority users, and ferrothorn with power whip. Have fun

  3. The last game I played was yellow, so i'm the guy from that... T'would be fine if I didn't pretty much figure out all the glitch pokemon yesterday when I FINALLY managed to see, catch, and train, the metapod I hooked after not teaching my glitchy beedrill his lv.35 attack. The metapod turned into a ditto. I love it that much more now. Gonna name it metamon.
  4. ...Lol? That's all that came to mind, after finally figuring out what the game was about...
  5. Got a new computer monitor today... Oh ya, And I just beat final fantasy 7 for the first time.

  6. Jirachi is the Pokemon I hate the most, when it uses the generic "flinch hax" set, but I don't want it in ubers. And I've seen the generic "rain thunder, water pulse" set more than the flinch one lately. Except for a scarfed flincher. I really DO hate it, but I don't think its ubers material.
  7. Sounds like a whole lot of fun! Thanks for the update.
  8. Well, I never got to know you personally, but you seemed like a very nice person. I hope you achieve all your goals! Good luck in life!
  9. Will clearing your records reset your ladder rank and points as well? Because I hate being over 1200, everyone seems to always have the same generic teams....
  10. Lol, I get it. Though ash wanted the pokemon... And I would've added how you (he) was forced to pick the pokemon noone else wanted because he was late, and that it constantly shocked him. Though that would give it away easier. You could say pet, and it hurt "you".
  11. Lol, and also you added another 252 at the end of the e.v. list... Secondly, wouldn't a choice band/normal gem work better? You're already exceedingly fast.
  12. [Leader] [Electrode] (M/F) @ [Focus sash] Trait: [Static] EVs: [252 Speed/252 Attack/ 4 SpAtk] [Naive] Nature - Taunt - Explosion - Thunderbolt - Mirror coat This was my FAVORITE lead when I was playing gen 4 on my D.S. (before I found PO and it had gone to gen 5) I made it to counter the strength of Aerodactyl. I had no idea at the time that electrode was so fast! I eventually came up with this lead, and although explosions power is significantly weakened now, it still remains a powerfull threat! This set is meant to be an anti-lead lead. he taunts to stop setting up, and then can react accordingly. Thunderbolting it if its a physical attacker, or using mirror coat if its a special attacker. thanks to the sp.def lowering, and his already low sp.def, one attack should take you to 1 hp due to the focus sash (for best results use 1 I.V. of sp.def) And at 261 hp, 520 damage will take out anybody, sans blissey, chansey, and that one fish I can't remember. Nobody really expects it the first time either, the way that everyone thinks of electrode is a rain dance lead! So they won't know what to expect from it, besides explosion of course, and an electric move. This pokemon, can ruin both physical attackers, and special attackers. physical attakcers get hurt, and without priority can sometimes be beaten by two thunderbolts, but static is the true trump card! Physical attack? You may get paralyzed. Special attack? You may just die if the electrode user predicts enough. Finally, when thunderbolt won't cut it anymore and you're at 1 hp, or about to die, use explosion for a grand finale! Hopefully, you've stopped their opening settup, and taken out a pokemon or two as well! For extra shenanagins you can instantly swap out electrode when he reaches one hp(make sure you have a spinner, just in case) and the instant one of your pokmeon dies, you can switch him in for a quick KABOOOOM! he can then also be used for a sacrifitial lamb, if someone has a strong attack that none of your other pokemon can take. So there you go! My wordy description of my favorite lead in gen 4 ever! (still great in gen 5) My electrode anti-lead set! Good against physical attackers, and good against special attackers. (0 sp.def i.v.s for best results)
  13. So where Should I post these sets? I have a few I can put up for people.... Though I try to encourage people to think for themselves, sometimes a bit of help is needed.
  14. So I bought the item: "random reborn rupees" today, and I was wondering how I activate it?
  15. You don't have a spinner either, so what i've done in the past, or really, just my generic gen5 spinner, is: -Tentacruel @air baloon Ability: Liquid ooze E.V.s: 252 spd, 252 sp.atk, 4 sp.def Timid nature: (-atk, +speed) -Sludge wave -Ice beam -Scald -Rapid spin This tentacruel, noone seems to expect, because almost everyone who doesn't battle me is used to the generic bulky wall set-up set. They don't relize that tentacruel can actually be fast! It speed ties with max speed salamence. When they don't read (WAAAY more often than you'd think) They waste a turn (or two even!) trying to hit it with a ground type move. Ice beam OHKO's salamence, without yache berry usually, and has actually swept a few teams before. He can still take a hit or two though, and could help your ground weakness out, without hurting your team much. And could get rid of hazards. However, if air baloon is gone, you still have no ground immunity, and you still have his electric weakness anyway. So another idea would be zapdos, the zapdos I generally use is: Zapdos @leftovers Ability: lightningrod E.V.S 152 Hp, 216 Sp.Atk, 140 speed Nature:modest (-atk +sp.atk) -Agility -Thunder/thunderbolt -Roost -Hidden power (ice) This guy can sweep unexpectedly with agility, and would be a good addition to cover your type weaknesses without losing your electric attacks, and his lower speed can be made up for with agility! His main downfalls however, are his inability to beat tyrannitar, excadrill sometimes, and ferrothorn also usually beats him. Finally, a good pokemon Who I think is a great addition to any team: Latias, @Leftovers Ability: levitate E.V.s: 252 H.P, 240 Def, 16 Sp.Def. Nature: Bold (Atk-, Def+) -Calm mind -Substitute -Recover -Dragon pulse This guy is a great tank, and still has pretty decent speed! (256) His defense is raised to 303, and his special defense is origionally at 300, so with a calm mind, it shoots up to 450! He can tank ice beams, using calm mind, substitute when it hits below 25%, and recovering the damage off, when you're at enough power, destroy everything else with dragon pulse! I usually set him up against ferrothorns, because it can wall off gyro ball with subs, then recover, but be sure not to use the same pattern between them or else you'll get leech seeded! It's really a great pokemon, and can usually survive ditto too! (since it's either in a sub, or can recover off the damage inflicted for 5 turns until it runs out of pp) All in all, I think latias would be the best adition to your team, and you should probabally take off either raikou or Jolteon. Latias will take electric hits great, and nulls all ground moves! (unless gravity is in play) It also is great against fighting moves that could threaten your lapras. As well as the grass moves that would hit politoad, or sharpedo. Ice moves could in turn be walled by lapras, sharpedo, or politoad, if its strong enough for you to need to switch out. The only thing you'll have to be carefull about are dragon moves, and if you've got at least 2 calm mind, you can usually wall a dragon hit ,and OHKO the dragon with dragon pulse!
  16. Flash fire houndoom would be a real problem to that it seems.... And in singles, victini won't do well at all... Although it is certainly an interesting team idea for doubles!
  17. You really shouldn't be mad that you're a normal type, because ironically, it is the most abnormal type of all! Normal types tend to make their own rules, and have strong attacks. Transform, color change, return, explosion, hyper beam... THey have no resistances, and aren't super effective against any type! So they're pretty interesting (ghost types being the only thing that don't affect normal types, and aren't affected by normal moves in return. the only two types to share this kind of relationship) And actually, I think rayquaza is the king of the sky....or Ho-oh.
  18. The scarlet sword shares a few of my tastes. Just in general: My favorite in game, and anime characters are: Red, not ash... Much different. Yellow, who in the comics (read a few a few years back) Was enlisted to help find red after he was kidnapped by the elite 4 (they worked for team rocket...scary stuff.) and could commune with pokemon, talk to them I think. With his mind. And finally Steven Stone, because I LOVE steel types, and he seemed pretty cool. He's also the reason you could get a beldum, and by extension, metagross in Gen 3! My favorite pokemon of that gen, right above craydilly! (Who he also likes) He ended up being a battle like Trainer Red in Silver and gold, only he was in emerald.
  19. Yes! Psychic and steel type! Honestly I loved the quiz, I found it to be fun. (the whole time I was a pokemon, I thought of myself as a mudkip because that's for some reason what pokemon I am EVERY time I play a mystery dungeon game, Without rigging the quiz, so when the discharge came....It was extra painfull.) On another funny note: Psychic/steel (or steel/psychic type actually) is my favorite type combination!, I do love metagross! So it was a pretty happy moment.
  20. Well, I loved the mystery dungeon games so I guess i'll have to try it out!
  21. No batteries? Or is it new? Because you have to synch it to the wii if its a new controller.
  22. Well, we had a good run, have a great life Jen! You made things much more fun for me! Heck, I would've left long ago if you hadn't been here. I'll miss you!
  23. I personally like the way reborn runs things here, I for one, don't much care about points, and what would really be the point of keeping track of tournament wins? If you care enough, you can keep track yourself, and some people do. And I for one alwayse congratulate people on tournament victories, usually either with "kudos, blank!" or, "congratulations blank!" I think sportsmanship is somthing that makes it more fun for everyone. The main point of the reborn server, at least i think so, is for the reborn league itself, more so then competative laddering anyway. If you quote PO, why not just go there, if you feel this server is slow or flawed? The timed tournaments I feel go both ways, in a server like reborn where a lot of people aren't alwayse there, timers can help if you have a low amount of people, and sometimes the opposite can occur, back in PBC, i've seen a 10 person tourny start up wtih 6 other people complaining they didn't get to go in. So honestly, I don't find it flawed so much as differant, both styles have their strong points, and failings. (Edit: LOVE THESE FORUMS, why not turns into wynaut, thats wonderfull!)
  24. Alot like my clefable that i've tried, except I used unaware over magic guard. And I don't really enjoy using evasion boosts, kinda takes the fun away from using pokemon that most people don't use too often. Minimize is pretty annoying now though... Eh, i'd consider it much more interesting and a good idea if it didn't use a +2 evasion move.
