  1. Hello fellow Reborners! I've decided to see if I could manage to run through Reborn with the Eeveelutions as the only Pokemon available to me. Thinking I would do this in style, I started breeding myself a bunch of Eevees looking for shinies. About 700 Eevees later, I now have them all. Ready, shiny and bloody gorgeous the lot. They will have good IVs as well as Egg moves. I wasn't sure how hard this was going to be, but I decided to allow myself to start off with 4 Eevees. I will add another Eevee to my roster after I defeat Corey, then a 6th after Shelly; the 7th after Kiki and then I'll allow myself full access to all of them after I defeat Aya. The battle style will be Set and I won't be using any items during Trainer battles. I've done a few other challenge runs but I figured I'd share this one with you guys hoping there's enough interest and that you'll enjoy this, I have been so far. So let's get started!
  2. You can leave through the window to the right in the room with the PC and healing machine. Hard to comment on your team without seeing your movesets but it does look like you lack coverage having both Typhlosion and Arcanine in your team. Kingdra while awesome, also doesn't offer a whole lot of coverage outside of Water. Might need to spend some time figuring out who to start off with, tends to be quite important, and then work on your strategy from there. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to beat them unless your movesets offer you little to no coverage, hazards or support. What are you losing to? Hard to say without more information.
  3. You're right. I was thinking Stealth Rocks on Swamperts. Togekiss was used as a sweeper with lots of coverage, but Gengar's addition takes that spot so I'm going to reinvest EVs and have Togekiss take a more supportive role with T-Wave, possibly Tailwind, I'm not sure.
  4. Serra is definitely easy. It's just a boring strategy to face, Aurora Veil and evades are based on RNG and it can make the fight an absolute cake walk, I really wish they would rethink a strategy for her. I've never quite understood the point of Relationship Points? What exactly do they do and how do they impact the game? I've never even paid attention to it, lol. Overall I wish early-game would get a buff and become harder. There's actually lots of things I'd love to see changed, but oh well.
  5. Klink learns Flash Cannon. Honestly the problem I have with her is that the battle is built around Aurora Veil. She can be such an easy fight with half-decent RNG which kind of sucks. I'm not a fan of fights being built around RNG. Having said that.. she's not all that hard to figure out. There's loads of pokemon options to choose from that will destroy her. My last run A. Marowak with Rock Head and Flare Blitz absolutely ran her over. You mentioned Arcanine yourself, Klinklang is there too. Lots of options. The point of Reborn seems to be to not lock you into a team of 6 (unless you're doing challenge runs or whatever) but to keep your roster open with a big rotation to find a counter to each specific gym. The game is definitely not too hard at all.
  6. So after getting my ass handed to me in some online battles I decided to revamp my lineup. This is what I ended up with: Beast Boost Naganadel @ Life Orb Timid, 6 HP, 252 Sp.A, 252 Spe Flamethrower, Sludge Wave, Dragon Pulse, Thunderbolt Serene Grace Togekiss @ Leftovers Timid, 6 HP, 252 Sp.A, 252 Spe Air Slash, Flamethrower, Dazzling Gleam, Roost Cursed Body Gengar @ WIse Glasses Timid, 6 HP, 252 Sp.A, 252 Spe Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Thunderbolt Torrent Swampert @ Leftovers Impish, 252 HP, 252 Atk, 6 Def Waterfall, Earthquake, Hammer Arm, Protect Sand Stream Tyranitar @ Assault Vest Jolly, 252 Atk, 252 Spe, 6 Sp.D Crunch, Earthquake, Aerial Ace, Stone Edge Justified Gallade @ Galladite Jolly, 6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spe Close Combat, Psycho Cut, Ice Punch, Night Slash Basically any feedback on moves, apparent weaknesses I might have overlooked, potential replacements for certain members. I'm toying with the idea of swapping Togekiss' EVs from Sp.A to HP, slap on Thunder Wave instead of Flamethrower. So she can survive hits like Stone Edge instead of getting OHKO. I'm not sure I'm completely sold on Gallade yet, this is the first time I'm using him so any advice on better Mega-Evolutions that would fit in, I'm open to. Also not too sure what item to give to Gengar, Wise Glasses doesn't seem like the best option? PS: If anyone fancies a few online battles give me a shout, been having fun with it last few days!
  7. Give it a few common candies and it's all set for you
  8. Sure. You available to trade now? My username is Si I could actually give you a Tyranitar, EV trained and all, what level do you want it at? I forgot what level cap fiore mansion is at lol
  9. I've got a shiny Larvitar with perfect IVs if you would like. I don't have A. Ninetails with good stats but I could breed a Vulpix for you, if you want.
  10. I just started breeding Mudkip, however I have all the starters in the game so I can get you an egg of whichever starter you like
  11. Edo did a "Under 450" Challenge run with only Mons with under 450 BST were allowed. Also no power-up moves, items during battles etc were his rules. I did it too, it was a lot of fun actually. Later gyms were quite difficult as well as the gauntlet! Setting the bar lower than 450 seems insaaaane ha. I'm just going to link to his thread To give him credit for it or in case you wanted to check it out. It was actually a really cool challenge run!
  12. Oh, alright. Screw it, let's trade. Username is Si Let me know when you're ready!
  13. Don't know how I missed that bit lol. If it's illegitimate, what exactly would that mean for the game?
  14. Yeah absolutely. What would you like in return? What do you mean by illegitimate? How do you know it's from Wonder Trading?
  15. Arrr, the Speed is rather unfortunate, was hoping for better:(
  16. Hopefully that one doesn't evolve ha.
  17. Oh right because it had the metal coat, haha. I can trade you another Scyther without it if you want. Completely forgot it evolves on a trade ha!
  18. Sure thing. Let me know when you're ready for a request!
  19. I'm looking for a Shiny Silvally / Type: Null with strong IVs Here's what I can offer in return: Shiny Larvitar: Perfect IVs Shiny Scyther: 29 Atk, rest perfect Shiny Charmander: 15 Atk, rest perfect Shiny Dratini: 26 HP, 30 Sp.A, rest perfect Shiny Azrurill: 7 Def, rest perfect Shiny Swinub: 29 Sp.D, rest perfect Shiny Magnemite: 11 Atk, rest perfect Shiny Zubat: 26 Sp.D, rest perfect Can also breed any of the starters for you or other rare pokemon. Thanks!
  20. I have a shiny Scyther with 29 Atk, rest perfect IVs I could give you. Could also come with a Metal Coat if you fancy. I don't have a Silvally to trade unfortunately.
  21. A run in which you're only allowed to use the Pokemon Ash catches in Gen 1. Or uses for gym battles? Because he trades Butterfree away for Raticate, but trades back before really using it. He uses Haunter for the Psychic badge, but doesn't technically catch it. So: Pikachu, Butterfree, Pidgeot, All 3 Gen 1 Starters, Raticate(?), Haunter(?), Primeape, Muk, Tauros, Kingler, Lapras, Snorlax. Could also argue you're only allowed to evolve those Ash evolves. I like the idea of no stat boost moves (Swords Dance, Iron Defense, etc) are allowed and then the usual Battle Style on Set, no items during battles allowed.
