Hot take: The Mirror Arena is a good field

I didn't have as much trouble with Serra's field, but that was because I prepared extensively, I can imagine the gym being incredibly frustrating to someone looking to take it on with physical mons, but I can also see redeeming qualities about it. For one, it's the most flavorful field in the game, by far. It's so much Serra's field, and it's one of the effects that really takes center stage and adds character to what has historically been kind of a bland gym type. I also like how it boosts Hone Claws, making HC Night Slash Drapion a strat I really want to try sometime.
Now, all that said, I never want to see it anywhere outside Serra's gym. If it was a surprise or digi-ame was less forthcoming with field info, I would have been a lot less accepting. It's also really limited in it's ability to be obnoxious by the type that it's tied to; if it was a bulkier type the battle would be a lot harder.

So before I started posting on here, I had a Reborn Wonderlocke going. I had just done the Yureyu raid to save the orphans and took a beating. Ezekiel and Quicksilver were the only survivors. I finally felt like building up a new team and continuing. Wish me luck! On to Serra now.

And with that, Madelis and the Volcanion go down without any real trouble. Honestly I expected more out that fight, but eh, guess I can't blame em for falling before my might.

My first true challenge! This guy took a few attempts and some grinding to the cap, but I managed to come out on top in the end. As I plan to continue doing on my romp through Aevium.

Man, this guy really threw me for a loop; I'm glad you weren't as frustrated as I was. It's interesting how, in contrast to nearly every other leader across both reborn and rejuv, Keta lacks a gimmick. All he has over a mainline fighting gym leader is six pokemon and grass coverage. Thus, there's not really a lot to exploit, like there might be in Kiki or Samson's gyms.
Anyways, congrats, and have fun with the next segment; it really cemented my love of Rejuvenation's story.

Oh yeah, Zetta and Galvantua got smacked. Zetta was down to the wire, Galvantua was actually really easy.

Well, that dialogue with Nim, and honestly the whole battle, was just a bit "on the nose", so to speak. But maybe that's the point. Regardless, easy clap.

So now I can get back to it, here's my team right out of Venam's gym. Thinking it's pretty good so far, let me know what you think!
Also, that's only one Ttartube reference, the Buizel is named after a weasel from some story I read as a kid, but Wonga will live on in this playthrough! -
And it is done! Now on with the game I haven't seen yet. She was EZ by the way.

I have been graciously informed that there are no lottery starters in Rejuvenation anymore, so I'm just going for shiny Cyndaquil now. Nonetheless, it eludes me. My luck with this is just terrible.

I think I'm gonna give Rejuvenation another go. My only try so far was recent, and I got past Venam and not really any further before I lost interest. But I figure it's probably worth my time, so it's time for another round. HOWEVER. Before my playthrough actually begins, I will be SRing for my starter. There will be two acceptable outcomes. Either
A: a shiny Cyndaquil
or
B: a rare lottery starter
These are my terms for myself. It may be a while yet before I start posting about my playthrough because of this. Also I'll probably just post my starter and my victory against Venam for the beginning, as I already know everything that happens. That just about covers it. Wish me luck!
