  1. In Pokemon Reborn HMs work just like TMs, so you don't really need to have all of your mon's move slots filled with HMs. I would advise you to go to a Move Tutor on the circus and teach Icy Wind to your Wailord. It has a low base power (55), but it hits 4x two of her Pokemon, and has the effect of dropping by 1 stat the opponent's speed. Also, if you have a Heart Scale, go to the Move Reminder and give your Golurk Heavy Slam (that's gonna be useful against Togekiss, Archeops and her final pokemon). Also also, if you don't have Revives, buy Cotton Candy (works just like a Revive). Good luck!
  2. Thanks, I do! I'm online now
  3. Hi, anyone willing to trade me a Dark Material (on any pokemon)? I could breed a Modest Deino later and give you in return
  4. Hi, I once asked for a Torchic here on Online Play and you PM'ed me saying you had one, but I didn't visit the forums for some time and saw the message too late. Do you still have one? Also, do you have a Helioptile and a Dark Matter to spare? (any nature, ability and IVs will do) Thx a bunch!
  5. So, I beat Ciel with your team. It was hard, and took a lot of tweaking on your Pokemon, but it was doable. If you don't want to try again, and just want to continue the story, here it is: Game.rxdata But if you still want to try on your own to beat her, here are a couple of tips: - First of all, take into account Ciel's Pokemon before facing her: Togekiss, Archeops, Noivern, Gliscor, Talonflame and Mega Altaria (yes, she has an Altaria that can Mega Evolve) - A lot of you Pokemon have HM moves. HMs in Pokemon Reborn work just like TMs, so you don't really need to keep the HM move on your pokemon all the time (like that Strength on your Nidoqueen or Dive and Waterfall on your Greninja). - Teach Icy Wind to your Greninja. It's taught by a Move Tutor on the circus. It's the best Ice move Greninja can learn (for now), and although it has a weak base power (55), it drops your opponent speed by 1 stat. You can imagine how a speed drop can help agains't Ciel's Pokemon, who are basically all sweepers. - Give Nidoqueen Surf in place of Strength (useful against half of her team). - Your Helioptile is basically dead weight. It has awful stats (since it's an unevolved Pokemon at a very high lvl cap), so it's not gonna outspeed or hurt anything. Once you go back to Reborn City, if you want to keep it on your team, buy a Sun Stone on the Department Store to evolve him, and teach him Dark Pulse (TM) and Hyper Voice (Move Tutor on the Circus) - Buy Ability Capsules in the circus (they go in the Medicine bag). Use an Ability Capsule on Nidoqueen to change her ability to Sheer Force (that way, Sludge Wave is gonna do more damage against her two Fairy Pokemon), and on Arcanine and Scrafty to change their abilities to Intimidate (to cripple her Pokemon). - Go to the Move Relearner (again, on a tent on the circus) and re-teach Head Smash to Scrafty. You are gonna need that to hit Noivern, since it's the only Pokemon you have that's bulky enough to survive and attack from him. - Buy a lot of Cotton Candy (I used six). It works like Revive, and you don't have any revives. - Give an Air Balloon to Arcanine. - Sometimes Gym Leaders go for a random attack instead of a expected one, and that can really mess up a bait-and-switch strategy. If that happens, just soft-reset. Here's how the fight went, basically: Togekiss: I lead with Greninja, and used Icy Wind two times to cripple her Togekiss's speed. It didn't do a lot of damage, but that speed drop I called Nidoqueen to finish Togekiss off when Greninja went down. She used all her Hyper Potions while I tried to kill it with Sludge Wave. Archeop is next. Archeops: to beat Archeops, I lead with Arcanine with Air Balloon and Intimidate. I changed to Nidoqueen and it went for Rock Slide (it's Scarfed, you see). While it used Rock Slide on Nidoqueen, I revived Greninja with Cotton Candy and healed him with Ultra Potion, then healed your Nidoqueen with Ultra Potion, and knocked him out with two Surfs. Noivern: I sent out Scrafty in return, and used Head Smash. Again, Noivern outspeeds everyone on your team, and Scrafty is the only one bulky enough to take his hits. It didn't go down and Scrafty was down after the recoil damage, but I finished it with an ExtremeSpeed from Arcanine. Gliscor: used Greninja's Icy Wind. His HP went down to red, but he knocked Greninja with an Acrobatics. I used Nidoqueen's Surf to finish him off. Talonflame: I sent out Helioptile to take a Flare Blitz while I revived Scrafty. I don't remember how I beat him. I think it was Noivern. Mega Altaria: I sent out Scrafty to cut his attack with Intimidate. Then I changed to Arcanine to cut his attack again, but Arcanine was knocked out by Hyper Voice. I sent out Scrafty again, then used Cotton Candy on Arcanine, and sent out Arcanine again, then used Cotton Candy again on Scrafty, and sent Scrafty after Arcanine was knocked out. The plan was to cut Altaria's attack as much as possible, since it has Earthquake, and the plan was to knock him out with Nidoqueen's Sludge Wave (you can't use Greninja, since Altaria is faster than your Greninja and it has Hyper Voice). Then, Sludge Wave, Ultra Potion, Sludge Wave, and done. EDIT: Hugh, just saw that this topic is one month old. Oh, well :/
  6. Update: got Togepi, traded for other Goomy
  7. Thanks, if I'm not able to trade for these guys, I'll contact you
  8. So, I'm looking for these pokemon: Larvesta, Snivy, Togepi, Axew, Torchic, or Modest Magnemite. None of them need to have great natures (except, of course, Magnemite) or IVs. I have these lv. 1 Modest Goomy (Goomies?) to offer: Goomy (F) - 31/31/26/29/24/31 Goomy (F) - 31/31/26/31/23/01 Goomy (F) - 31/11/31/31/31/01 Goomy (F) - 31/04/31/29/31/17 Goomy (M) - 31/04/26/24/31/31 Goomy (M) - 03/23/27/31/17/26 Goomy (F) - 31/31/20/29/23/01 Goomy (M) - 25/04/26/29/31/31 If anyone is interested in trading, tell me which Goomy you want
  9. Well, there's eleven lines (twelve, if Skarmory counts) currently non-available: Gengar, Scizor, Gyarados, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Garchomp, Ferrothorn, Hydreigon, Talonflame and Aegislash. I never actually played Sun & Moon, but most of the non-legendary 'mons don't seem particularly powerful/broken (except maybe Mimikyu and Toxapex), so I'm pretty sure almost every one of them is gonna be available next episode in some way. My guess is that Gyarados, Dragonite, Garchomp, Ferrothorn, Hydreigon and Salamence are not gonna be available. Moxie Gyarados and Salamence are too powerful, and Ferrothorn is too good of a check against Amaria (I think). As for Dragonite, Garchomp and Hydreigon, they are, respectively, the aces of Saphira, Solaris and Lin, so I think it's unlikely Ame will let us fight fire with fire (same with Heather and Salamence). Although I could be wrong, since Lin's Hydreigon is probably gonna have some sort of unnatural boost, and Solaris's Garchomp is probably gonna Mega Evolve next time we fight him. I think Scyther and Scizor are gonna be available, because Durant is already available, and Durant is arguably more dangerous than Scizor (okay, maybe not without access to Stone Edge, but still). Same with Gengar, Alakazam is already available, and Alakazam has slightly better stats overall. The Tyranitar line is gonna be available because of the desert theme, also because I think it's weird that we are allowed a METAGROSS, a pseudo-legendary with great bulk and no 4x weakness, and not a Tyranitar, which has a ton of common weaknesses. Also, I think there's gonna be wild/event Larvesta available (again, because of the desert theme).
  10. Magnezone is not a bad idea, actually. He's bulky, and the only 'mon I have with a Steel attack is Metagross. Probably gonna give him Flash Cannon, Discharge, Signal Beam and Thunder Wave/Light Screen. My EV spread is not very good for bulky 'mons. The only bulky ones I have are Metagross and Goodra, and that's because of natural bulk. About the field effect, I know what you mean. I remember suddendly finding a Lanturn underwater and it started randomly kicking my ass because of the field effects. I'm gonna take that advice and get a Tangrowth and/or a Leafeon. Also I think I'm gonna add a Galvantula with Sticky Web to mitigate that effect. Well, as EndearingCharacterTrait said, Beldum is available in the end of a long and weird sidequest in Byxbysion. As for Electivire, you can get Elekid in a house in Calcenon by giving the guy an electirizer (it's in a cave by the Calcenon stairs), and there's a second electirizer in a lighthouse in Coral Ward. You can enter it by using dive in a hidden spot behind the lighthouse (there's a tutorial on Youtube). Thanks for the replies!
