Not exactly, because ignorance is when people stop paying attention while there’s still attention in hate. Having that said, people can also choose to deliberately ignore someone because they want this person to feel isolated from everything, so your statement is partly valid too.

That’s a frightful question. Part of me wants to say, like Candy, that hate is better… that attention of any kind is better than indifference. 

But if a large group sent you heinous and hateful messages (in the true, gruesome fashion we’ve come to associate with the Internet), you couldn’t even talk to them about that. This is a kind of attention one can’t engage with.
 

Both. Because I deserve it worse than you expect. Am I considered to be insensitive or heartless? That’s why I want to try thinking of myself less.
