  1. I've never heard/seen that expression
  2. Not bad. We do have a thread for this already, though:
  3. Two completely different things:

    Spoiler

This shows what's called a Tamandua.  The thumbnail just shows the Kemono Friends version for some reason......probably just to highlight where they got the pose in the anime from.  I did stumble on this from a Kemono Friends video after all.

    Spoiler

Just because it's an adorable short animation:

''Yo bruh, it's not that serious''

So adorable tho <3 Thanks for making my morning!

  4. Except for a few TM's and Mega Stones that they don't seem to be in a rush to add.......and having to choose between either 1) a patch that leaves out a few Legendaries and legendary-related items or 2) a patch that breaks Delta breeding completely. Aside from those and numerous bugs, it's complete more or less.
  5. Just remembered earlier this canonically exists in Touhou.

However, this mighty beast is actually a hot air balloon.  It was one of the few people with outside world knowledge that saw it as a mecha in the side game it debut in.

Despite this limitation, it seems Hisoutensoku gets to become a full-fledged robot in the last Fantasy Maiden Wars game.  I'm still a long ways from there, but that will be awesome.

Also, have to post this vocal version of it's song.  A doujin circle turning this guy's instrumental theme into a full-fledged, 70's style Super Robot theme song......another amazing fanwork:

  6. ...........I always forget to ask certain details with these questions
  7. If you installed the patch and it still hasn't, maybe so. Or just post your save file here for someone to fix. Just to make sure, you have tried moving all around the area, correct? I don't know where the event-trigger tiles are exactly.
  8. Patch your game and see if that changes anything. Search for the 'V9 bug thread' to find the patch.
  9. Fanmade Touhou content never ceases to amaze me, especially when it gets into animation. There has been quite a bit since I stopped following Touhou in 2011.  My newfound favorite animation short:

The biggest of which is probably the Fantasy Kaleidoscope series.  There was only 1 episode out in 2011 and now 8 have been made.  They are basically adapting parts of Touhou into the anime it was always meant to be:

Actually, turns out there are 9 episodes now

  10. One neat thing to make up for this is that Jan seems to have coded in a Fariy type hidden power, so every type is available......at least one of my mons showed the type, though I never used it in battle. But, yes, it's a little too late in the game to very useful.
  11. Since I was tired to trying to play Fantasy Maiden Wars and read the translations right after completing a stage (to see what changes to the base story were made), I went ahead and read the mostly complete translations of the second and third games (though I still haven't looked hard for a translation of the newest one).

really like how much mixing and rearranging they did, especially setting up the situations where the Main Character doesn't just solo it and resolve the Incident in a few hours (like in the canon games).  Even though some of the silly, nonsensical reasoning for Incedents is still there, there actually feels like there is a level of stakes now.   Not knocking the main series stories, but their canon setup doesn't work so well for a RPG format.......though you can solo most stages with Reimu (outside of Lunatic mode) if you invest some resources in her and settle for timing out spellcards instead of properly capturing them (assuming the RNG doesn't bullshit you too much throughout the stage).

It really does feel like Banpresto*-level crossover writing, all things considered.  Even their original in-between scenarios (or entire sub-plots) made reading this enjoyable, since I didn't know how they would implement something.  They do have to delve a little into fan interpretations for some of the characters who really haven't been fleshed out..........though really that could apply to at least 3/4's of Touhou's cast.      It was definitely interesting to see Rabbit indirectly cause all three major plots covered in the third game, where she did nothing substantial in the side-story manga she came from (and completely disappeared into irrelevance about 1/3 of the way in).

Also, have to applaud them for actually using a combination of attack animations as a unique cutsene.  I've never seen Banpresto do this in any Super Robot Wars game thus far;  usually, the only unique thing about an attack animation for a cutsence is just unique dialogue since many times that's an important moment from the source material (usually an antagonist's death or a moment of near defeat for one of your members).    This was quite unexpected, so the FMW team definitely earned all my respect for this one and I hope Banpresto does something similar in the future----turn on annotations to see the subtitles---:

Now to get back to actually playing the second game.

*Banpresto is the studio that creates the Super Robot Wars   and Another Century Ace   mecha-crossover series.

  14. Restoring the island adds new pokemon in the wild on the island, including Bulbasaur (from what I remember). Restoring the railnet opens up the Togepi trade, allows you to get the Steelixite from the "Devon" building, and clears out the Railnet of items you maybe didn't get (and gets you the sticker that so many people miss pre-restoration).
  15. @TrainerNero After looking, our resident frozen treat (a site mod) had this to say about it:
  16. I'm fairly certain Ame has allowed this, but advised tranlations to be done after final release so she can make small dialouge changes throughout without messing up the translation
  17. Yes, the power items are good for ensuring a certain IV is passed down.
  18. It can breed with anything not in the Undiscovered Egg group (mostly the legendary/myticals and baby mons) and itself No, IV's are set from the moment the egg is made and can only be changed via hacking. That's essentially the starting point, unless you get a good IV mon from someone to start with. Probably aim for one or two stats with high (or perfect) values and go from there.......if you are starting from scratch. For event mons, soft-reseting is the way to go, since you can easily get high IV's with enough patience. Then breed it with a mon with high stats in another area until you get one with both high stats.......it's also possible for an egg to get high IV's in one of it's non-inherited IV's. If bred without the DK, an egg only inheriets 3 random IV's from it's parents, with the other 3 being random from 0 to 31. As long as 1 mon is holding the DK, the egg inherits five of it's IV values randomly from it's parents, with the last slot being completely random (from 0 to 31). One parent holding a power item also ensures that it's corrisponding IV is passed down to the child. Of course. Egg moves are in the canon games so they are in Reborn. Bulbapedia has a list of moves and how to get them for each mon. While TM breeding won't be re-introduced, you can still do it on the Reborn Hardcore mod for Ep 16

It's on hard, though you can change the difficulty in the tent soon after starting.
  20. I don't know how patch 10 translates to the download version updates, so all I can guess is try it. I can't really give any other advice, so if that doesn't work, go to the file-fixing thread.
