  1. The party moves forward, and Aidan is healed. Enemy Phase All quiet. Player Phase 5 Player Status: 75/100 XP Enemy Status (Stats:)
  2. Lysander goes to finish the swordsman. Anea heals the wounded knight. The others move forward. Enemy Phase "Those fools... men, prepare! They'll be coming for us next, and we're not letting any of them get away!" Player Phase 4 Player Status: 73/100 XP Enemy Status (Stats:)
  3. Winston rides forward to strike down the mage. Lysander needs a new action. Marl sends an arrow into the swordsman. Alwine steps into the forest, and introduces the remaining mage to her axe. The mage didn't like it. Tsidin flies to the door of the house, and knocks. An elderly woman comes to the door, flinching, before she sees the emblem of an Opian soldier on the rider’s armor. “Thank goodnes… I was worried the ruffians would come to my door and ransack the house! Is the way clear? They’re attacking the town, they are, I don’t think it’s safe to stay!” she glances back to some children hiding behind another door. “One moment. I must give you something in gratitude…” she heads back into the house, and returns with a green liquid in a bottle. “It’s good for your health, it is. Will fix just about any wound right quick.” Tsidin has gained a Concoction! Player Status: 64/100 Enemy Status (Stats:)
  4. Aidan moves to take a shot at the spearman. The man screams a bit as he burns, but is not dead. Enemy Phase Begins Spearfighter B goes to take revenge on the mage that burned him. He gets a bad hit in, but he gets burnt to death in return. Mage A gets fairly close to Winston, as he tries to throw a fireball at Anea. Swordsman B goes for Alwine, stepping over the body of his comrade. Mage A sends a fireball at Lysander. Spearman A follows up the attack, and Lysander... manages to dodge the blade and thrust directly into a chink in the armor. The man drops. Player Phase Begins Player Status: 51/100 XP Enemy Status (Stats:)
  5. Player Phase: Marl moves forward to take a shot. The arrow sails true, and brings the man down. Tsidin flies to flank the spearman, and takes a (literal) stab at them, although they’re badly hurt in return. Winston retreats to safety and throws a pair of hatchets at the remaining axeman. Anea moves behind the commander and gives them a heal-bop. Alwine, her direct opposition out of the way, throws an axe at the spearman. However, she’s not yet used to her skewed depth perception, and misses. Player phase continues. Player Status 31/100 XP Enemy Status (Stats:)
  6. The group marches forward, and prepares for the enemy attack. Winston readies his axe. Enemy Phase Begins An enemy swordsman rushes towards Alwine, and enters an exchange of blows. They end about the same. A spearman approaches the wyvern rider. They clash and both come away bloody, although Tsidin worse off. One of the axemen approaches Winston. It goes… extremely poorly for him. Winston rides out of the way of the strike, before turning his horse back around and charging the axeman. There's a sickening sound as the axeman's head flies off in an arc, and the Opian commander returns to his position as he prepares for the remainder of the enemy. "Is that all you have? Pathetic." Another axeman moves to take his fallen comrade’s place, and swiftly regrets his decision. A spearman moves into position to stop a flank, and strikes at Winston from the forest. He manages a gash in his flank, but is struck for worse in return. A mage comes up behind the axeman, and sends fire towards the embattled cavalier. He manages a burn, but gets an axe for the trouble. The second mage decides the wyvern rider may be a safer target. They are, but they’re also quite slippery. Player Phase begins. Tsidin heals 4 hp. Player Status 15/100 XP Enemy Status (Stats:)
  7. Alva blinked. "Transform? Me? Like... magic? I-I can't do that..." she stammered. But then... she felt a tingling, something strange. Something powerful. This wasn't the fear she'd been feeling, as she initially thought, but something else entirely. This was something... supernatural, in nature. "W-What... when...?" she muttered, then took a deep breath. Resolve. This woman... she wanted to hurt her. She was dangerous. Who knew how many she'd hurt in the past? Who knew what she'd do to Alva's friends to get to her? Normally, she'd be afraid. Anyone would be, a powerless teenager faced with magic beyond comprehension. But she wasn't normal anymore. Now she could do something about it. A green glow suffused her skin, as she tapped into the power that had been unlocked without her knowledge, and a flash of light later, Alva looked different. Alva was still clearly herself, in magical form, but with a few changes - she stood a little taller and straighter, her hair was longer. Her eyes, always a bright green, seemed to glow a little with power, along with the pattern of green diamonds cris-crossing significant parts of her skin. Her clothing had changed dramatically - no longer a simple gym uniform, but a pale green dress, conforming to her body shape and with probably entirely too many frills, emerald-like gems studded in the gloves and chest (on which the neckline displays enough to tease, but not show off too much). She wears a circlet with another gem set in the center. She is also wearing stockings and tall but thin boots, following the same green-and-purple color scheme as the rest of her outfit. She blinks, not seeming to have realized she'd transformed until she takes a step with more grace than she'd thought she had. "...I... I have... I have magic..." she says quietly - and with probably more excitement than the situation really warrants. She thought she had an idea of what she could do, as well - it was dangerous for her, as she would become quite... fragile, in that form. But if she used it right, she was sure she could help Kaede, Riley, and Essylt fight! "I think I'm r-ready to help!" she said, taking a stance that left her ready to move.
  8. The group walks for a bit more - maybe another hour. The town is up ahead, just past a river. Winston slows to speak to the others. “We’re near enough that I can tell you why we’re here. We’re here for an important individual. You’ll know her when you see her - bright teal hair, very distinct. Should answer to Elizabeth. We’re basically grabbing her and bring her to the capital. Willingly, is the preferred means, but this is by order of the King and she is a citizen, so if we need to… well, I’m sure you can figure it out. When we get there, we’ll spread out- hold on.” He pauses, looking ahead. A group of men are milling about on the outskirts, all armed, and none with the armor of town guards. They’re too well uniformed to be bandits, too - and one sees the group and shouts to his fellows. “Patrol incoming! Prepare yourselves!” Winston’s expression turns hard. “...These don’t look like bandits. We may have a situation here. Get your weapons.” --- The enemy commander frowns. “There wasn’t supposed to be anyone coming.” he says. “We didn’t hear anything!” A lesser soldier insists. “Doesn’t matter. We’ll take care of them - you go and warn General Dane. More may be coming. ” The commander says, dismissing the soldier. He hefts his axe, and waits for the oncoming enemy. Player Phase 1 Player Unit Status Enemy Status (Stats:)
  9. "I wouldn't be worrying about Alwine - she's been in the military near as long as I have." Winston noted. "We won't be staying in Aica long - complete the mission, then back to the capital."
  10. ~~~Prologue: The Road to Aica~~~ The six of you have been travelling for three days, on your way to the town of Aica. Your commander for the mission, Winston Sorea, is not at liberty to tell you lot what it is until you’re at the town - simply that your mission is important, and that you must move quickly but covertly - hence the lack of a carriage or water transport. The trek is nearly over, the town now visible in the distance as you crest a hill. "We're nearly there." Winston notes the obvious, turning to the group on his horse. "Be alert. Pax has been aggressive lately, and even if we don't have trouble with them the bandits are active. Shouldn't be any issue though - as long as we're obviously military, they won't harass us too much." he said. He continued down the road, gesturing the rest of you to follow. Marl, Anea, Lysander, Tsidin, Aidan, and Alwine may post.
  11. ~~~~RULES~~~~ 1. All non-IC stuff is to be posted at the OOC thread. 2. Post formatting mandatory. As such: Colored normal text for PC speech! Colored italized text for PC thinking. *Colored small text or between asterisks for PC whispering* Normal text for generic descriptive text. Bolded text for PC actions and orders! 3. Order of battle posts: Players' actions -> GM resolves -> Player's actions -> GM resolves ... until all player actions have been posted -> GM posts Enemy/Ally Phase and new turn map -> Start again If you need an action resolved before making another ask in the OOC thread or discord. 4. Don't post until your character is properly introduced! 5. Be active if you can! If you have to be warned several times your character may be automoved or removed from the game. If you can't post for personal reasons, try to warn the rest in the OOC thread. Delegating actions to other people is also allowed. This is more important in battle than RP, but activity in both is preferred.
  12. The time for decisions has come! All the sheets I've gotten were good, which sort of stressed me out because it made it so much harder to decide on which sheets to take! In the end, decisions had to be made, as much as I wish I could take all of the sheets (and in fact, I decided to boost the player count to 12 due to the number of sheets I enjoyed). That said, those who do not get in will be notified should someone drop, be kicked, or perish in the game. Without further ado: Those that will be coming in during the Prologue, and their affinities: 1. Unlurking: Marl (Archer > Battle Mage) (Light or Wind) 2. Ragnarok: Anea (Maid > Steward) (Anima or Heaven) 3. Caleocek: Lysander (Merc > Commander) (Water or Light) 4. Stratos: Tsidin (Wyvern Rider > Wyvern Hunter) (Thunder or Dark) 5. Cole: Aidan (Mage > Mage Knight) (Heaven or Water) 6. Murdoc: Alwine (Knight > General) (Water or Ice) Chapter 1 entrants, and their affinities 7. Swordstar: Bradwr (Cavalier > Duke Knight) (Water or Anima) Congratulations to those that got in, and my apologies to those that did not. The IC thread will begin soon after the players choose their affinities.
  13. "What kind of contact will we have with the ship? Do we have any way of telling where Angels are before they show themselves? Do we have any sort of time frame for the mission yet?" Satomi asked her own questions. She glanced at her father - she wondered, how much had he spoken with the Admiral before hearing of this? With how against her piloting he'd been in the first place, she couldn't imagine he'd gone easy. Still, she hardly had a choice in the matter. If they need the evas and she's one of the few who can pilot, it's a responsibility she had to fulfill.
  14. At the request of multiple applicants, including some who have not yet completed their sheets, the deadline is moving back to Friday, March 16th.

  17. Fire Emblem on Forums: The Lost Lands Once, the dragons ruled the world. They were gods made flesh, beings that could not be harmed or die except by the claws of one another - no sword could cut them, nor bow pierce their scaly hide. Humanity was beneath them, their servants and slaves. For a time none can measure, this was the way of the world. To the oppressed it seemed as if it always would be. Until the intervention of the White Dragon. The White Dragon was different from her brethren. Unlike the cruel and greedy drakes around her, she saw something in humanity. It is said that she could see the future, and her place in bringing it about. She gathered four heroes, one from each of the four kingdoms, and granted them the power to fight back - the power of magic, once known only to the draconic races, and the power of the Fire Emblem, forged from the White Dragon’s scales. Each of the heroes returned to their nation, to raise their armies and overthrow their masters. Meanwhile, the White Dragon journeyed with her followers to the Eastern peninsula of the continent, to battle her brother and the most powerful of their species - the Black Dragon. The four heroes led their armies to victory, with the powers bestowed upon them - humanity, for the first time, was free. When they quickly went after the White Dragon to assist her in her fight, they found that the peninsula was simply gone, vanished without a trace, bringing with it the last of the dragons. In the aftermath, the heroes were elevated to monarchy over their home kingdoms, and renamed after them - Opus, Emries, Kahla, and Pax. Since then, while the nations have fought and bickered, there has primarily been peace - no sovereign feels they have the right to overthrow another. But now, a millenia later, tensions brew. Pax’s ruler, after coming to power from the suspicious death of his father, has warred on Kahla. Emries has withdrawn from the world. The king of Opus is frail with age and heirless. Soon, the fragile peace may break, and the world return to violence unknown since the age of dragons. ~~~~~~~ Welcome to my attempt at a Fire Emblem On Forums game! I’ll be your host, Twinwolf. Most of you guys know how this works. The rule changes will be below, followed by the setup and nation information. Handbook 1.salt: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vex1ntiw6orvp0s/Players%20Handbook%20v1.Salt.pdf?raw=1 Rule Changes. Generally nothing major - just look over the general changes, and from then you can just look at what applies to your own character. Map Nations (Note: while some nations have tendencies to certain classes, it is by no means required to be from the relevant nation to that class) Magic Lore Religion: Who's the cast? The beginning cast of the prologue will be troops of Opus on a fairly important, and covert, mission for the crown - while the reason is classified, it is in Aica, a port town near the border with Pax. This will be six individuals either of Opus or who have reason to be in such a party. Chapter one will introduce four individuals with reason to be in this town. I think I’ll have 10 players, but may decide to increase to up to 12 later. Later characters will be brought in as makes sense for the plot. Submissions. Applications should be DM’d to me before being posted here sans backstory. I’ll be taking applications until the 20th. (Please refrain from posting until I reserve two additional posts) We will be starting at trainee level 1.
  18. Victoria Victoria was fairly quiet as she was introduced to the maid, trying to look like a normal young woman looking for a job rather than a superhuman being of magic and politely waving to the emotionless seeming girl. Of course, this was about when the staring started. Something about it made Victoria... uncomfortable. There was something off. Then, the simple sentence - "You're not human." Victoria didn't respond, and if she'd had less self control she'd have winced. She knew that damn it. She hadn't been human for a long time, because she made some stupid mistake... more importantly how could she tell? Another magus? It didn't matter, just then. "...Well, nice to meet you too." the capital-s Servant said to Maria as she followed the maid. Erica Erica led the pair northwards, staying in the suburbs on the outskirts. "Hm. Last time there'd already been cannon fire by now." she said idly to Ruler. "Maybe the Servants aren't quite as obvious as Archer and Rider were in the last War." She was quiet for a few moments, then spoke again. "How good do you think you are at hiding yourself, or fighting without the armor? Seeing as you rely on your other form to fight and it's damaged, it'll need to be used sparingly." Erica was well aware of how Ruler relied on their other form to fight - but she wanted to be aware of what options she had. What was meant to be the default fighting form had been forced to become a trump card, and that meant she herself was going to need to participate more in these battles than a Master normally would. If she wanted a chance she needed to take any advantages she could get.
  19. Alva Alva still... didn't quite understand what was going on, in all honesty. She was not by any means stupid - it's just that the events were completely incomprehensible. This sort of thing didn't happen in real life, it was purely the domain of fiction. And yet, here she was, with clearly impossible actions by the girls around her and facing a woman who she currently had every reason to believe wanted to take her away to be slowly, painfully, and violently sacrificed to some unknown purpose. And she apparently assumed she could stop the magically-armed Kaede and sword-armed Riley, which considering she was watching Kaede do magic didn't seem quite so impossible as it normally would. "...I-I feel like I'm missing a lot of information here... explanation, please? Like, just a quick one?" She asked, both to Riley and Kaede. She couldn't exactly help without knowing the situation after all. She felt tingling over a not insignificant portion of her body, but was chalking it up to the terror, unaware of the magic power causing it. "What is she doing? D-Do we know how to stop it?"
  20. Satomi stifled a laugh as she dug into her own breakfast. "Huh, I always thought that was because you guys were busy. I guess I didn't get my cooking skills from her, then - did you ever try?" She joked. She tactfully didn't mention the reason she'd had to learn to cook - can hardly eat out all the time, and with Dad in his research... no use thinking about that, right now.
  21. Clarisse, for her part, just... didn't comment on the noises Rayne was making. That was a tad... odd. It was just a vulnerary. "Should be all healed now..." was all she said in response to all that, before she saw someone else go down and went to go help them. And if she'd heard right the mage wouldn't be attacking... J16
