  1. Victoria If the magical girl could in spirit form, she'd rub her forehead with exasperation. Was she just... not paying attention? "That's... not what I mean at all..." they arrived before she could clarify. At the order, she rematerialized - looking a bit different in outfit, her clothes much more casual than in her original summoning. "Dramatic dress-armor would probably be hard to explain too." she explained, before gesturing for Isis to lead the way. Erica "Alright then." Erica said as the Servant faded. "I'll be calling you Ruler, I believe, unless you have a better idea. Maybe it'll scare our opponents." She headed out into the night, opening her umbrella as she did so. "We'll be staying in the suburbs to start off - if the Servants in this War are anything like the ones last time, there'll be some flashy ones that get themselves in a fight good and quick. No reason to risk ourselves needlessly, especially in your weakened state." She stated as she walked northwards from the abandoned home.
  2. Satomi had grown quite proficient at reading her dad indeed - she saw the wince when she called him out. Maybe she wouldn't guess it so easily if he didn't do it so much, she thought as she returned to the kitchen - he needed to take care of himself! Satomi paused as she brought the breakfast back into the room, hearing her father say that. They rarely talked about her, since she'd passed when Satomi was only seven. "...Do I?" she asked, not really sure how to respond to that. Then, a small smile. "Well, if I have to sound like someone, she's a pretty good option."
  3. So, Alva was left utterly confused by the events that swiftly unfolded. One moment, she was backing away from someone who was probably an insane cultist, if she believed her school mate (and, why wouldn't she? Katja had come out of nowhere, spoken an incomprehensible language, then told Alva to come with her never to return - sounds pretty dang cult-y). The next moment there were lots of ribbons flying around, and Kaede was holding her protectively with the ribbons basically making a shield between them and Katja. "K-Kaede, what...?" she stammered - less fear, more confusion now. Alva... just didn't understand. Katja complained about her trusting Riley over her- "What do you mean 'she kill me'? I'm alive..." - and then flipped an hourglass puppet and people seemed to panic. "W-What does that do...?" she asked, to nobody in particular. It seemed pretty much everyone understood what was happening better than she did. Alva was just trying to... she didn't even know, not go crazy? Looking at Kaede's face again, the calming blue eyes... "...I-I don't want to go with her." she said quietly to Kaede - she still wasn't entirely sure why Kaede thought she was leaving decisions to her. Even if Kaede had shoved her towards Katja she'd not have done just gone with this. "I won't go with her." Alva stood, out of Kaede's arms now albeit still behind the barrier.
  4. Erica "Fair enough, but that doesn't mean we can't try to be a bit more subtle before getting into a straight fight. The War's as much about knowing your opponent as it is about your own power, in my experience - something your abilities may be quite helpful for, actually." She turned and headed to the door. "Do you prefer being in physical form, or spirit form? If you don't much mind the latter, should probably go for that." Victoria "I'm pretty sure I know my own Class... have you even looked at my Noble Phantasm?" Victoria was getting... a bit exasperated. This war was gonna be fun wasn't it?
  5. Satomi squinted at him suspiciously - she'd noticed how he avoided the first question. "...I'll text them. Then, I'm going to make some food and you will eat something. And then I'm probably going to bug you until you take a nap because falling asleep during a meeting is a terrible idea." she said, before heading back into her room and picking up the phone... comm... whatever it was. She raised an eyebrow as she saw Ahmed's text, and shot off a response - Weird. I had a dream like that. Know if the others are up? - before texting the others that her dad wanted to check if they were up. After that, she headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
  6. Erica "Glad to hear it. I've noticed some of your abilities seem as if they're weakened from what they should be - do you know any way to repair them, or at least reduce the damage?" Erica was fairly sure she could work with it, but if she could figure out a way to put them to what they should be that would be the ideal. "We'll probably be going to try and find other participants, in a bit - not much preparation to be done." Victoria "...I think you should look at the information you have access to about me. I'm an Archer, unless I'm somehow confusing my own class." Victoria said. If she wasn't already in spirit form she'd sort of awkwardly rub the back of her head. Had her Master messed up the summoning or something?
  7. Alva Alva blinked. Then very rapidly backpedaled away from Katja, trying not to stumble. "W-What? Why? Why would you even- why me- what the fuck is going on? W-Why would people like you care about me, why am I being threatened murder, why..." Her questioning stopped at that - "Why?" summed it up quite perfectly. Alva was internally screaming but doing a fairly ok job of not externally screaming as she put distance between herself and the lady that wanted to give her a fate worse than death.
  8. Victoria Victoria shrugged, and followed the instructions - the young woman disappeared, but Isis could still feel her presence. "Lead on. Have you looked at my parameters, noble phantasm, etc? You called me Saber, which I don't think is quite right unless you mean to confuse opponents..." Erica Erica frowned, viewing the parameters - fairly... sub par, although they seemed like they could be improved under circumstances. Something seemed wrong with the Noble Phantasm... Class was... Ruler? "Ruler? That's... that's strange. I thought you would be summoned as a Rider, or an Archer, but Ruler? That doesn't seem right at all..." she murmured. Was it something with the catalyst? "I don't know what my word is worth when we just met, but I swear I did not mean to summon you like this - if something was strange about the ritual, it wasn't intentional. Maybe it's because I was in the last war?" She was... puzzled, to say the least.
  9. Victoria Victoria raised an eyebrow - she pretty clearly wasn't a Saber. Maybe her Master was going to call her that to mess with the other pairs? Well, every advantage and all. "Alright then, Master." she said, following after the girl. Erica Erica looked over the Servant, not quite able to tell what class it was at a glance. The Servant seemed confused, and then annoyed. "...Well, it's a bit rude not to introduce yourself, but alright then. What do you mean, what did I do to the ritual? Did I mess something up? All I did was add a specific catalyst to make sure I summoned you, Hiroki Yukimura. Last time I tried this, I got a madman of a Servant..." Probably a Rider, knowing her legend... did she always get Riders? Hopefully this one wasn't an utter madwoman....
  10. Guess we're doing themes huh The light began to fade, revealing a figure kneeling in the center of the circle where there had been none before. A pretty young woman with brown hair of notable length curtaining her face, wearing something resembling a cross between a green dress and armor. She stood up, and opened her green eyes, looking about the room for a moment before sighting the other person present. "Hm. I take it you're my Master, then? My name is Victoria Denton, although you'll probably want to call me something else. No sense telling everyone else that, is there?" She returned to her examination of the room, although she stayed in the circle. "Oh, this place looks nice. You like reading?" Victoria wondered what sort of person her Master was. She'd been summoned for the War, but she hoped she wasn't some asshole who'd tell her to go kill people for magic or something. Even more important, she hoped she wasn't stupid enough to make her do... that. Of course, she didn't say this out loud. Being a Servant didn't mean she had to tell her Master everything, after all.
  11. Erica Erica stood in a rather dusty, abandoned home just on the outskirts of the city. She'd learned her lesson from the last war: No summoning anywhere expensive. She'd watched the sunset, sipping coffee, before heading into the back as she felt it was time. This was... familiar. She'd done just this seven years ago. Why was she doing this again? For her wish - the grail had chosen her once again. She knew there were other survivors of that war, but was unsure if they'd been called again. Command Seals long since faded since the death of the dread pirate Ignacio had come back to her hand, a tattoo marking her for a Master. Hopefully... hopefully this war would be different. She'd summoned probably the most straight up powerful servant of the last war - but he'd not listened to a word she'd said. He was more like a Berserker than the war's actual Berserkers. Erica shook her head as her leg ached where the old injury was - stop remembering the last war. This was the one that mattered now. Through her research she'd figured out a modified chant that would focus the summon a bit more - Erica would not be getting an utter madman this time. More than that, the catalyst. Erica opened the case and placed it in the center of the circle. A torn off part of a cloak, belonging to her target. She didn't know where her contacts had acquired it, and part of their policy was don't ask. But they were reliable - she knew it was real. She took a deep breath, and cut her hand in the same place as last war, and began to chant once again. "Blood flows unhinderedStories of greatness intertwineMy body is yoursYour heart I desireBrandish your soul against my foesCome forth with me unto victory!" And the world went white.
  12. Alva blinked at Kaede's response. "Well, yeah, but-" the girl was surprised as Kaede moved her forward and put her hand in Katja's. "Wait, what? Why should I just... go with a stranger?" What? Why did Kaede think she should go? She then got more uncomfortable and surprised as Katja elaborated that there would be no return. "N-No return? What? Why? Where are you taking me? What do you want me to do?" she pulled her hand back and looked around, confusion more pronounced and fear rising in her face. She couldn't just... leave and not come back! What about the school? What about her family and friends? What was going on?
  13. Alva blinked - she'd never heard that sort of accent before, and the demand was weird. "Uh... what is it? Do you need help with something? Is it urgent? I was sort of going to the nurse..." she glanced to Kaede, and just now saw the blood - where had that come from? "K-Kaede, are you alright? Where did the b-blood come from... I think you need the nurse too..." Alva was... so very confused at this entire situation. Riley just did... that, she seemed like she was really upset about something all of a sudden. Kaede had gone back to being stoic and was staring Riley down for some reason, and was holding her hand just a bit too tight. Was she angry about something? Esyllt was watching, that was probably the only normal thing happening. And a girl with a weird accent wanted her to come with her. What in the goddesses names was going on?
  14. Alva barely had the time to notice she'd been dropped before she was on her feet, a fairly quick reaction time and Kaede's proximity and hand all that saved her from falling back down on her injured shoulder. She stumbled back as Riley drew her sword, but then she started shouting at nothing. "R-Riley? Who are you talking to? Are you alright?" she said as the girl went to the ground and began to cry, worry etched on her face. She turned to Kaede. "Do you have any idea what she's so upset about?" It was around now that an unfamiliar girl in a really cute outfit arrived. Was she in one of the higher years or something? Alva didn't recognize her at least. Then she started speaking gibberish and doing something with an hourglass, and then pointed at Alva. The green-haired girl scratched her head. "...Excuse me? Can I help you?" she turned to the others to see if they had any idea what she was saying. "Uh... do you speak our language?" What even was that language? Didn't sound like anything Alva had ever heard, not even close enough to make out some similar-sounding words, so she was left at a loss. She seemed to want something out of her? At least if she was interpreting pointing and saying something all bossy-sounding right.
  15. Alva barely had the time to notice she'd been dropped before she was on her feet, Kaede having been torn away from her and Riley's hand over her eye. "R-Riley? What are you-" Then came the light, and the terrible pain. Alva began to scream again as the pain built, until her voice gave out around the same time Riley tore her hand away - Alva couldn't see out of her left eye anymore, but her right showed her the incomprehensible scene of her eye flying away in Riley's hand. Her pain gained a voice again as she was thrown to the ground, where she curled up into a fetal position, hand over the empty socket without even really noticing the bleeding. Through the pain and the tears coming to her remaining eye she could see Riley shouting to the sky about something... m-make her suffering much worse? W-Was her meaning... w-what had she done to deserve this?
  16. Alva barely had the time to notice she'd been dropped before she was on her feet, a fairly quick reaction time and Kaede's proximity and hand all that saved her from falling back down on her injured shoulder as she stumbled. Before she could say a word she heard a wet squelch and felt a large amount of pressure in her shoulder. She looked and saw the long bit of metal impaled in her one good shoulder. "W-What...?" she breathed, before screaming as the pain set in and Riley tore her blade free. She stumbled back as the blade was leveled at her throat, before trying to turn the motion into a turn and sprint for help, barely even registering the light appearing from the side Kaede had been at. "R-Run!" she managed to shout through the pain - m-maybe she could distract Riley from the others and let them run and get help-

  18. Alva barely had the time to notice she'd been dropped before she was on her feet, a fairly quick reaction time and Kaede's proximity and hand all that saved her from falling back down on her injured shoulder. It... probably didn't help that her initial reaction to the words said to her was "What? W-" before she cut herself off. She tried to remain calm, although she'd gone pale with fear. Alright alright you have to answer in something other than a scream because she'd probably stab you in the throat or something Kaede help please - alright what sort of reasons do you have not to be murdered randomly? How do you answer that!? She answered rapidly with a lot of stuttering as she rattled out some reasons that were semi-generic but accurate, "B-Because we're out in the open, someone m-might see - actually Kaede would see it -, because you'd be k-killing someone who c-can't defend themselves or know w-why you want to kill them, b-because I'm a classmate of y-yours, because a lot of p-people saw you leaving with me, because I really d-don't want to die and don't know w-why you want to kill me - it'd b-be easier to g-give you reasons if I had any idea why you wanted to k-kill me you know!" she said, stumbling backwards but keeping her footing and her gaze alternating between looking Riley in the eyes and the sword that she was being threatened with oh godesses why?
  19. Alva had been about to respond to Kaede, when the teacher arrived and Riley offered a shoulder rather solidly interrupting her. So she just smiled at Kaede, looking her in the eyes again, before putting her arm around Riley for support as she stood. "Thanks..." she said as she got to her feet, the word intended for both Kaede and Riley for their assistance - the movement had brought the pain back up front in her mind, although it was lesser now. "Off we go, I guess! Sorry to hassle you..."
  20. "Why wouldn't someone say that? It's true!" Alright, be friendly and honest. Alva was starting to feel a bit... tired? Even though that all had happened. "Looking at you being so calm and stuff... it helped me calm down too I think, especially your eyes. If the eyes are windows to the soul, I don't think your soul being like a calm, beautiful lake is anything to be scared of." What sort of upbringing had this girl had that she seemed so... uncomfortable, with compliments - wait, she'd called herself 'Ustole'... did they do something? She wondered. Not much of note now.
  21. Alva frowned a bit. "Well, I can understand not really having a favorite book. What about some books you just enjoy, then?" she asked. She was about to ask about that whole 'not really getting strong feelings' thing - was that just about being this calm or was it something else? - but something out of left field surprised her and derailed that train of thought. The green-themed girl began to turn a bit scarlet. "O-Oh... thank you..." she stammered, not really sure how to react to that. "You have pretty eyes too... it's like, looking at a pair of really calm lakes..." she decided to respond to compliment with compliment - and she did mean it!
  22. Alva took a few moments to think about that, then smiled. "Lots of people say they don't have much to t-talk about, but then turns out they do and j-just didn't know it!" she paused, thinking, before settling on a fairly common question. "So... what's your favorite book? Maybe you c-could try talking about that!"
