  1. Well for I kinda found it pretty much fair in my retrospective. I wasn't the typical competitive trainer or whatever it's called these days so I technically used unconventional teams throughout. Despite the heavy amount retries I had to do and beating the game, you could say I only wound up with a little over 150,000 by the end of the previous episode. I farmed I mind you but it wasn't really much coming from the trainers in the which I only used to increase the number of pokeballs I had. Though maybe it's because I never consider buying potions and such in substitute for the power items, minerals or something like the macho brace. There has been a slight increase in the more recent episode but it's still not too bad but still better. The difficulty of the fights makes it more challenging for me and I pretty much like it so far. This is just my take on it anyway.
  2. As difficult as Pokemon Snakewood was, it wasn't really all that bad but I do vouch for that there were parts of the game that was either off or out of place. The script/plot was somewhat bad in a comedic sense at times but yeah try it out for yourself and see what you think of it.
  3. Well if I do put in account the usual route of tm availability, I'd probably see Ice Beam, Hyper Beam, Thunder and so on but I'm not really sure of what moves would be available via tm for this particular game. It may end up being something completely different since I saw moves like Magic Coat and Gravity that were available amongst others. Though I have my estimates but I'm more than likely to not be fully correct and get a surprise collaboration of moves different from what I had thought would be in. All there is to it would be that I'm curious of what Pokemon Reborn will dish out on the playing field. I'm very much interested in that fact.
  4. Well I wouldn't know if this idea is out there or not but I was thinking a storyline based on the upbringing of various trainers from start to finish. Basically you start off at the pokemon academy and go through various trials in order to graduate and become a trainer. For npc interactions I was thinking of a more buddy system so that players could have the opportunity to have a partner that isn't temporary for a particular setting. Players would have the chance to bond with npc characters during their playthrough and would possibly have to do buddy missions and so on to build up the affection meter. In this instance the gyms would be tag style unless they are forced to battle separately. The league could also be tag style until you reach the champion. Meaning that the npc also has to battle the champion or gym leaders before or after you. There will also be organizations and other criminal escapades going around in the meantime and maybe a few deaths may occur here and there. Not sure if it's an actual plot but it's simply the life of a trainer and their road to greatness or a simple life. The academy also has quizzes and tests but in the event you don't pass, the player has the option to either battle the examiners along with a fellow student in a tag match or drop out and join an organization or become a criminal. The villain route will involve terroist attacks, stealing of pokemon, killing off unnecessary or potential obstacles in your or your affiliation's way along with other naughty deeds. Though there is a chance for the player to seek redemption and change their ways if they so choose to or even get the npcs you've formed a bond with to join you in your villainy. I would like all pokemon to be available if possible and there will be events for a selected bunch (some of which may require a sacrifice or so). Some buddy quest may require you to battle your rivals/friends or help them with their problems (simple stuff perhaps. boss battles may be included). I would like to have a travel option to the various regions so players could partake in events such as pokemon leagues, battle frontiers, pokemon contests, pokemon musical or theatre if that tickles your fancy, pokemon tournaments along other things (although the player must beat the league of a region in order to advance to the next one). A national pokemon league wouldn't sound too bad as you get to fight all types of powerful trainers (not sure if players would like characters from the main series as well as Red and Blue and so forth). Since some gym battles are tag based, either a custom trainer or an npc gym aide would be along with them. The national league champion would be a custom trainer who'll be helping the player in certain instances and predicaments without revealing that he is a champion. Artificial limbs would also be a thing for both players and npcs since accidents and so do occur after all. More things could be implemented but that's all I got for now at least. Though I'm pretty sure a game of this caliber would take a monstrous amount of time to produce.
  5. interesting. I currently have a trainer sprite that I'm trying to work with using MS Paint but I'm still trying to get it sorted out.
  6. I'll look into it. I had RPG Maker VX and VX Ace but my trials long ended. I've heard of Pokemon Essentials but what would be the capabilities of it.
  7. There has been many pokemon hack games that I'v gotten to play over the past few years and it has got me thinking. Maybe I'd like to make my own that others could potentially enjoy. Though I'm still a starter and don't have much experience when it comes to things of this caliber. So I was wondering what would be the essential tools/programs that I would need and how would I be able to practice creating trainers and so forth. I'm curious but also would like advice and tips on how I should get started if possible. Thank you.
  8. Hey everyone. I'm not anyone special or anything but I've really been trying to get myself registered to the site but my hotmail isn't letting me receive the password change message so I used my gmail as an alternative. My name is Steven but my trainer name is usually Sonzo. I have been a frequent player of pokemon games and I have to say that Pokemon Reborn has really got me hooked. A very challenging concept from my stand point since usual games took me about less than 1-3 days total to complete. I'm also in the progress of making a pokemon game along with a friend of mine so hopefully we get finished soon. This is just my way of an introduction so I hope to get along with each of you. If there are any questions towards me then I won't hesitate to answer so feel free to message or something. Later.
