  1. Now that you said that, in Episode 17, Ame will move Air Balloons one floor up at the Department Store, so that we don't have access to them for the Garchomp fight.
  2. Air Balloon saves you from Ground-type attacks (you aren't affected at all by them). However, if you get hit by another damaging attack, it will pop and stop saving you from Ground type attacks. I used it to make Garchomp go for Stone Edge/Fire Fang/Dragon Rush, which are moves that can miss. Then, it was all based on RNG.
  3. Thanks @Awesome_One! LOL, true! And the worse part is that Taka and Aster/Eclipse got him, while we, as Main Character take them out one after the other! (well, with some healing in between, but oh well ) @HongaarseBeer Haha, you had been waiting eagerly for this, hadn't you!
  4. CHAPTER 8: Dragonslayers and Poison overload! First of all, sorry everyone for taking me a few days to update! I recorded a lot, but didn't have the time to type the update . That's why things got a bit swamped. Or maybe because we now had to visit Azurine Island, which techically IS a swamp. So, after Victoria instructs us to go find Cain at Azurine Island, we decide to do so! After struggling a while to find the correct path on the Swamp field, trying to get items that are Foongus (my nerves...) and jumping on lilypads (we are so light ) we eventually find a building that apparently serves as a Team Meteor hideout! There, we find Aster and Eclipse, who think that they can defeat us because "we are now outnumbered". Alright, alright, I fight them! And they go down relatively easily. And so does Taka afterwards, even though he resisted quite a bit. I think Chatter should be deleted from the Pokemon moves directory and never be used again. Anyways, here's our swamped adventures! VS TAKA (Bonus: VS ASTER & ECLIPSE) With Cain rescued and Taka leaking us information about the PULSE Camerupt they are going to set up at Pyrous Mountain, we return (at last, with Cain), to Apophyll Academy. Kiki sends us and Cain to put a halt on Meteor plans. Victoria proves her pre-E16 uselessness, by insisting t stay and take care of Kiki, willing to do nothing to fight Team Meteor. But Kiki, being a worthy leader, kicks her out, sending Victoria to help us. So, we team up with Vicky and start climbing (again) Pyrous Mountain, and beating a few grunts! This turned out to be piece of cake. But the hard part was coming. We have to defeat Solaris' Garchomp now. And I don't possess some Counter Pokemon to equip it with Focus Sash and cheese it like there is no tomorrow... So, we had to soft reset for the life of us find a way to cripple it down and then defeat it slowly! No foreplay, no spoilers, just straight to the fight! By the way, the following video includes ALL the tries it took me to defeat Solaris. Not too bad! VS SOLARIS (Bonus: VS CAIN) Solaris was now down as well, Cal betrays us, murders Kiki's Medicham, then Garchomp (the nickname of which must be Lazarus, because it just fainted) decapitates Kiki, Cal has a change of heart and destroys PULSE Camerupt with Blast Burn from a Magmortar (!) and Team Meteor flees, with their operation ultimately failing. We get TMX Strength, but not our Badge, by Victoria, and set off to Byxbysion Wasteland's Gate, together with Cain, so that he opens it for us. Except, he won't without a battle. We defeat him easily, and (after getting utterly lost in Byxbysion) we find our way to the Hideout, where Aya's Gym is. Fern has broken his monotype to defeat her, which is pathetic, but he boasts about it, for some weird reason. Then, he challenges me. And he gets destroyed too. Then Aya gets destroyed too, which boosts her depression issues. VS AYA (Bonus: VS FERN) The team used vs Aya was: And, without further ado, we go straight to the video coverage of the battle! By defeating Aya (who is consoled by Hardy ), we make wonderful things happen. Apart from the fact that we make Fern leave with a displeased look on his face, like he drank a bottle of vinegar at once, we receive our 5th Gym Badge (the Venom Badge), raise level cap to Lv.50, enables Strength outside of battle (good Lord, this took FOREVER!) and we also receive TM for Sludge Wave, which is magnificent! Now, we can go and invade Yureyu Building after moving away all the mess Cain made debris Cain's Nidoking created to prevent getting captured by Team Meteor in the Underground Railnet. Cain will be waiting for me. And he will keep waiting, until the next chapter of my poooiiiisonous run! Till that time, enjoy everyone!
  5. Good job @Satoshi! Even though Vivaldi doesn't have Sap Sipper, as I suggested... xD
  6. So many times of being desperate for getting access to the Move Relearner... I learned it the painful way xD
  7. Unfortunately, you can't... You need to find the House Key, which is in the part of underground railnet that is accessible only after getting Strength... So, he won't be able to access the Move Relearner for quite some time... EDIT: (to be precise, he will be able to get it after getting Aya's Gym Badge and completing the Yureyu Raid)
  8. For some weird reason I feel like Fern's Roserade would outspeed even Deoxys-Speed... Also, how non-stab super effective Extrasensories by him always OHKO, when my non-STAB super effective moves never OHKO... Mysteries of Pokemon...

  9. I second every single one of those. @JoJoDeath Also add a mixed attacking Skuntank, with Play Rough, Flame Burst (to abuse Fields), Acid Spray (to cripple Sp. Defences) and Night Slash. A Special attacking Vespiquen with Bug Buzz, Power Gem, Air Slash and Tailwind is also interesting. And, last but not least, Arbok. Coil, Gunk Shot, Sucker Punch/Crunch and Ice Fang make it very good late game, while Acid Spray, Glare, Crunch/Sucker Punch (bred by Rattata I think) and Mud Bomb make it highly useful early/mid game too. Very underrated!
  10. I'm not that good either to be honest I'd like Clamperl with Rest/Sleep Talk/Iron Defense and Whirlpool or Toxic. Give it Deep Sea Scale to double its Special Defense to 110. It also has a solid 85 in Defense. So, Full EVs in HP and like 2/3 of rest on Defense and 1/3 on Sp. Defense. Give it a Defense/Sp. Defense boosting nature that reduces Attack. I pick Whirlpool over Clamp since it is a special move, and Clamperl's Special Attack is better than its physical one. Happy stalling (AKA goodbye Sampson)
  11. Should I use such a powerful move at this early stage? Nah, this would make it way too easy...
  12. Well, depends... There are people doing NFE, or LC challenges. So, I'd say it's possible. After Greece winning Euro 2004, nothing is impossible.
  13. Already suggested a Sap Sipper Deerling Name it Vivaldi, cause 4 Seasons are awesome
  14. @Satoshi Please use a Deerling And may you triumph during all four seasons!
  15. I'd give Grass Knot instead of Hidden Power Grass to Pikachu and Softboiled instead of Grass Knot to Chansey... Other than that, perfect! Maybe I'd prefer Iron Heads over Iron Tail cause I dislike inaccurate moves, but again, with the luck you had vs Serra you won't miss any Iron Tails, ever!
  16. @Vhandrake I second @HongaarseBeer's suggestion. Also, get proper natures at the Nature Changer of the 7th Street, EV train and breed for moves like Iron Head on Marowak... It will help you MASSIVELY vs Ciel's Archeops and Mega Altaria. Basically, just search bulbapedia for moves you can breed on each pokemon, then see which one you might need (based on incoming big battles and pokemon they use) and breed it!
  17. At least you will be able to destroy Metagross with Bonemerang! Plus, you can always Fling that Thick Club for some nice Dark Type damage, and get another at 7th street
  18. It's still remarkable, considering the fact that the queen of evasiveness, Serra, lost due to her missing her Attacks... xD Also, you can't evolve Pikachu, Chansey and Clamperl, because this would mean that they'd not be able to use their held items anymore, right? So, this makes your progress an even more impressive feat!
  19. @Vhandrake Yayyyyyyy, good job! Glad idea of Ditto Cryogonal worked! That Flash Cannon probably was a godsend! Also, which move did the god of luck take out Froslass? Was it Bonemerang? Or you actually flung your thick club? xD
  20. Also, maybe breed Confuse Ray from a Mantine on your Clamperl. This might cause enemies to hit themselves, hence lower their evasiveness, hence increase your critical hit chance (stupid field, I know). You can teach Fling to Marowak too, and have it throw an Iron Ball (or its Thick Club) to Froslass. If you're lucky to survive of course Or breed Iron Head from an Aron on Marowak! And give it an Ice weakening suppereffective move berry. (dunno if they are accessible yet though )
  21. You actually made it to Serra's Gym with that team you told me a week ago? I greet and salute you! Gimme some time and I'll think of some ideas to tackle Serra EDIT: @Vhandrake First of all, you have Lax Incense, which boosts Evasion on switch in. Maybe give it to Ditto. Then Make Ditto transform into something fast with Nature Power (which becomes Mirror Shot), or Flash Cannon. So, Vanilluxe or Cryogonal respectively! Then, wish a bit for luck in the speed ties and abuse the steel moves. One first idea I had. Also, Covet Quick Claws from wild meowths and Give one to Marowak. Maybe this will give it a chance to go first and take out something! Would be great if someone could hack Iron Tail on your Pikachu too...
