Sandile shows up in Tanzan Mountain. I think the lower levels, though I don't exactly remember where inside the mountain.

If you joined Team Aqua, by this point you will have been able to chase away Team Magma from their alleyway. There's a Houndour waiting beyond where the leader was.

Ugh. I know I wanted some darker Pokemon fiction, but not so dark where everyone just dies left, right and center. I mean the occasional one, big one, yes. but not en masse.

2k+ words already, still got ~500-1k to go. Wow, I didn't expect it to be this long, to be honest. Still, I'm pleased with what I'm writing, personally.

I'm ina bit of a mood to write. The thing is, I only want to write one part of what might look like a multi-part series, but I am not in the mood to write any more then that (Yet, anyway)

And then use Acrobatics to destroy the next gym leader. And...yeah, Emolga carried me so hard through that part of the game it's not even funny.

By that point you will have been able to catch an Emolga in the Jasper Ward. Alternatively, Shade's Gym itself is home to Magnemite. Most of Shade's Pokemon know Shadow Claw, which the field boosts. If you got Charge Beam (Which you should as Julia gives the TM) you can use it to turn the field into a factory build, nullifying Shade's field advantage. Be aware that Shade's Rotom has Discharge which will turn it back into a short-circuit field. Other then that, bring a bunch of dark and ghost-type attacks, plus some attacks that can exploit dual-typings (Psychic for Gengar, though that's of dubious usefulness because Shadow Claw, Ground for Rotom, water for Chandelure etc.). For specifics? As mentioned, Mightyena, there's also Houndour/Houndoom if you went with Team Aqua and drove Magma out of town, Carvanha/Sharpedo from the same sidequest... There are quite a few ways of dealing with Shade, though I admit to requiring a few resets before everything went well for me.

Okay, is Noel's Cinccino hard coded to always hit 5 times with it's multi-hit abilities? Because I've yet to see any evidence otherwise.

Playing one Pokemon game at a time because I want to dream about the adventures from an immediate perspective. Not playing PMD because currently playing Reborn, would like to dream about the adventures in the PMD world...in my own way, anyway, with more dangers and less "fail until succeed".

I actually prefer the Gym Leaders being tough. They are supposed to be stepping stones in your journey, milestones that you have to overcome. Them just being pushed aside like I heard they are in the main series games? Yeah, makes no sense how someone like that got to keep their position. Plus, the leaders being close to the level cap means you can't just level grind and brute force them. You actually have to adapt and use strategy, which I like.

With the second point, be warned that you DO need to beat the Beryl Ward gym leader before the rematch NPC's start appearing. Until you get to that point...yeah, have fun fighting wild pokemon over and over again

How many Gym Badges do you need before you get access to the Move Relearner? Or at least when do you get the TM for Thunder Wave?

Alright, I will toss my character in to try and figure out if anything needs editing for whatever reason: I'll be honest, I'm a little worried about whether or not my personal skills/fault will pass.

I don't have a character yet, but I do enjoy the Fire Emblem series, having played through games 6-10 (The latter two twice), plus an idea of what I want my chraracter to be. Plus, at least for now I think I can manage a reasonable activity. I haven't RP'd in a very long time (Like, 8 or so years since my last RP and that was more gameplay then story), but we'll see how it goes. In short, definitely going to try and join this. Erm, just a question: Portraits mandatory? If so, balls, I need to find a way of getting a portrait...

So...anyone else played the Epic Battle Fantasy series? I'm currently replaying the 4'th game on Epic difficulty, made it to the last dungeon and decided to head over to Battle Mountain. For those wondering, I bought the game on Steam. Yes, it can be played for free, but I feel like the game is good enough that it deserves to be bought.
