  1. *clears his throat* I'm so tough that I burn myself instead of my food.
  2. Wow, uh, it really has been awhile since my last update, hasn’t it? Sorry. Life seems to have gotten in the way more than I had hoped. College and all. But, things seem to be calming down, and I’m hellbent on beating this game now. So, sorry again for the delay, but here it is, folks. Chapter 2: Azalea Town Bugged Me When I woke up the next day, I checked the map on my PokeGear to see what town was closest. I looked down at Rohan. “What do you say we head through the Ruins of Alph and then down to Azalea Town?” He made his flames flare up in agreement. “Alright, then, it’s settled.” So, I started down the path leading south of Violet City and ended up on Route 32. Well, the Ruins could wait. I had to check out what Pokemon was in the grass here. I was… Shocked when I accidently ran into a Mareep that gladly ThunderShocked me. Pierce Tackled it into submission and Ivan the Mareep joined us. With that diversion out of the way, I started into the Ruins of Alph. Sorta how I expected it to look, really. Bunch of ancient looking stone buildings everywhere and what not. I walked into one of the buildings and may or may not have solved a puzzle type thing and may or may not have fallen down a really long hole into a big cave. I began to wander around the cave, trying to find the exit. A couple steps in and one of the letters flew off the wall and attacked me. Brian the Unown joined me shortly afterwards. I spent some time training on the Unown before leaving the cave. Once I left the Ruins and started back down the Route to Azalea town, some guy stopped me and gave me a Miracle Seed. I let Raffie hold it for now. Everything was going fine as we continued down the route. Between Raffie and Rohan, no one was standing against us, and thanks to the Experience Share I picked up from some guy back in Violet City, Vic was getting plenty of experience aswell. Things went downhill, however, when I saw a group of Fishermen down on a dock. “Heh, probably got nothing but a bunch of Magikarp. This’ll be easy for Raffie to handle,” I scoffed and started down towards them. I was wrong. Before I knew it, Raffie had been turned into an ice statue by a Remoraid’s Aurora Beam. I didn’t know what to say, what to do… I was frozen in shock. I sent out Pierce to avenge his fallen comrade. And avenge him he did. Pierce’s Bite attack tore through the opposing Pokemons’ defenses. They didn’t even get to attack him once. I walked back to a grassy field and buried Raffie there. “I’m sorry, little friend,” I whispered. “I truly am…” I walked back to Violet City and got Ivan out of the PC. I looked down at him and smiled weakly. “C’mon, buddy... You’ll be fine,” I whispered, trying to make myself believe it. The path back down the route was relatively peaceful. Ivan and Vic gained a couple more levels. Some guy was blocking my path down the route, however. He even had the gall to try and sell me a Slowpoke Tail for a million poke-dollars. I punched him in the mouth and walked past him. I walked into the Pokemon Center to get my Pokemon healed for the trip through Union Cave. As Nurse Joy took them to be healed, some guy gave me the TM for Water Pulse. That could come in handy later. I didn’t expect there to be a trainer right outside Union Cave, however, and he caused a massive amount of troubles for my team. Ivan stepped up and took out a Staravia, but after that things went downhill. An Elekid paralyzed and nearly killed Pierce and then his Nidorino poisoned Rohan. It was through sheer luck we got to the Pokemon Center before Rohan died from poison. With my team fully healed once more, I wandered into Union Cave. I got about ten steps in before a Makuhita punched me in the shin. While I was recovering from that, Ivan leapt at him at took every hit like it was a feather and sent double ThunderShocks at him, paralyzing him and giving me enough time to shove him into a PokeBall. Maxie the Makuhita joined my team. The rest of the trip through the cave was simple. Clawdette easily trounced all the Rock and Ground types that came at us. I was ecstatic when we got out of the cave until I saw it was raining. I’ve always hated rain. One good thing did come of the rain, though. It had stirred up a flock of Swablu and Clawdette happily weakened one for me to catch. Storm the Swablu was then sent to my PC. I continued up the path and had to stop when I saw some idiot wearing an all black outfit with a giant red ‘R’ on his chest arguing with an old man. “I am Team Rocket!” The R guy exclaimed. “We have not broken up!” Then he shoved the old man back and stood in front of the well. And with that, I walked into Azalea Town. It was a small town, nothing too major. Hell, I probably wouldn’t even have cared about this place if not for the gym. Speaking of, I went ahead to found the gym just to check it out. One of those Rocket creeps was blocking my way into it. Alright, time to kick some Rocket Ass. I went into the Pokemon Center to get my team healed from the trek through Union Cave and saw one of those jugglers. Memories of Raffie came back to me already and I decided it’d be better if I didn’t take the quiz. I didn’t want to subject another Pokemon to that. I stopped by the PC to swap out Ivan for Storm, figuring I’d be needing his Flying attacks soon enough. Some guy told me that I should go talk to Kurt, so I walked up to the house with a sign outside that said “Kurt’s” and barged in. Well, actually, I did something before barging in. I talked to a guy behind the house and he gave me the TM for Thief. After that, I totally barged into Kurt’s house. Evidently Kurt is a really old guy. I mean, I thought Professors Elm and Oak were old, but seriously. This guy tops them both. After I spoke to him, he burst out of the house, saying he was going to go to the Well and beat Team Rocket singlehandedly. I figured I better go back him up. Just in case he were to, you know, break a hip or something. As I ran to the Well, I heard a strange sound coming from my bag. The egg began to shake rapidly and crack and before I knew it, a Togepi burst out. He was kinda cute.. I named him Spike and then called Professor Elm. He wanted me to come show him the Togepi. Maybe later. Got stuff to do right now. I put Spike in the PC and got Maxie out. And with my team ready to take on anything, I descended into Slowpoke’s Well. And I was right. Kurt did hurt himself. Way to go, Kurt. Way to go. As I walked through the cave, mother called me and informed me she bought something with my money. Thank you, mother. I began to battle the Rocket Grunts in the well. The first one fell easily but the second one I battled was hellbent on causing a death in my team. Her Geodude nearly killed both Storm and Maxie. Maxie jumped in the way of a Rock Throw meant for Storm, however and ended up crushed against the wall. It was then Clawdette leapt out of her Pokeball and sent the Geodude flying back. Immediately after, I ran to check on Maxie. The fighting spirit was leaving his eyes. “I’m sorry, Maxie…” I whispered. Two in one day… This was getting ridiculous… I lifted up his lifeless body and carried him back outside. I buried him just outside Union Cave. I walked back to the Pokemon Center and got Ivan from the box. I looked down at him. “I’ll do my damndest to protect the rest of you…” Right after, mom called and told me she bought something else with my money. I think I need to have a word with her. I stopped by the Pokemart to pick up the stuff mom bought with my money. I got some Payapa and Haban berries. Woohoo, I think. Anyway I went back down into the well, a Zubat flew at me. Clawdette was still angry and almost killed it, but I caught it just in time. Rasputin the Zubat was simultaneously saved from death and sent to my pc. Knowing Rockets loved Poison types, I swapped Ivan out for Rasputin and then charged back into the well. The Rocket leader in the well quickly decided he wasn’t going to be nice to my team. His Koffing nearly killed Rohan and actually did kill Rasputin. That’s three Pokemon in one day, people… Three. Thankfully, Pierce loves getting revenge and he handled the rest of the Leader’s Pokemon. Kurt managed to feel better just after I beat the leader (I think he was lying about that back injury). And he took me back to his house so my Pokemon could rest. They all deserved it. He even told me he could make Pokeballs from Apricorns. Thankfully, I had several of those. I handed him a couple Apricorns and got Ivan back out of the PC. “You’re one lucky sheep…” I whispered, looking down at him as we walked back to the well. Everyone needed training before I took on the gym here. I spent a couple hours training with my Pokemon in the well and got Ivan to evolve to Flaffy before walking into the gym. Rohan and Alexander (who was replacing Storm for the gym) both tensed with anticipation. I started to solve the puzzles of the gym with ease, but one of the trainers had one of the most annoying Pokemon I had ever seen. First off, what the hell is Skorupi doing in a Bug gym? That thing is Poison and Dark. Not Bug. Second, its trainer gave it ACUPRESSURE, LEER, KNOCK OFF, AND PIN MISSLE! It just would not die! Luckily, Ivan got a lucky hit on it and ended it. I healed my Pokemon back at the Center before going back to the gym. Damn Skorupi. I declare war on all Skorupi and Drapion. Any I see will die. Painfully. The other trainers in the gym fell quickly enough and soon I was standing in front of the boy scout himself, Bugsy. The battle began with Rohan against his Butterfree. Flame Wheel devastated it. Next was Yanma, it fell too. After that was a Heracross. I’ve always had a healthy respect for the countering power of Heracross, so I had Rohan shoot it with Ember. It tried to Counter but Rohan wasn’t close enough. Rohan ended him with another Flame Wheel. Following Heracross was Pin- Oh wait, it already died to Flame Wheel. Then it was Scyther. That Scyther had me scared. It was faster than Rohan by a great deal. So I switched out and let Alexander battle it. He barely survived the attack, but Air Cutter ended it. After that was a Beedrill that fell aswell. I grabbed the Hive Badge from Bugsy and went back to the Pokemon Center to rest for the night. My dreams that night were depressing. I kept thinking of Raffie, Maxie, and Rasputin. All the potential they had, gone. Tomorrow had to be better. It had to. (Alright, time for the report on my Pokemons’ levels. Starting off with those in my party: Rohan the Quilava - level 27, Pierce the Glaceon – level 24, Vic the Teddiursa – level 17, Clawdette the Corphish – level 18, Alexander the Noctowl – Level 21 (Probably gonna be switched for Storm next chapter), and Ivan the Flaffy – level 15 In my PC: Edgar the Numel – level 6 (I want to use him, I just don’t know who to take out for him. If you have a suggestion, let me know.), Silk the Wurmple – level 6, Carly the Chatot – level 12, Brian the Unown – level 15, Storm the Swablu – level 22 Dead: Raffie the Bulbasaur – level 14, Maxie the Makuhita – level 15, Rasputin the Zubat – level 15. Not gonna lie, this chapter got hard to go through with when I lost Raffie, harder when I lost Maxie, and near impossible when I lost Rasputin. The first title of this chapter was Crushing Blows to a Trainer’s Ego, but I swapped it out for the obvious pun. Also, I know I said I lost the juggler’s quiz, but that’s really impossible to do. I’ve been doing some research, and the other Pokemon I can get in Azalea Town will be far cooler than a Hoenn starter. Right now, I’m just hoping next chapter lacks a casualty, but I doubt it. If I’m having trouble now, Whitney will destroy me… See you all next time.)
  3. It's a couple years old, so it obviously isn't the best picture of me. But, whatever. One Poe in one suit ready for Prom because my senior pictures have vanished.
  4. Just finished the Regal Mammoth Arc of Toriko. If the anime continues like this, it is quickly on its way to being one of my favorite anime.

  5. I may as well hop on the bandwagon! Let me have it, bud!
  6. So, I just spent the last hour and a half playing Bioshock. And all I can say is this. Damn this game is fun. Creepy as all get out. But fun.

    1. Phoenix

      Phoenix

I tried to play it before but that is one game I can't play in the dark

  7. That's my 15th badge, then. Would have been 16 tomorrow, but my fiance takes precedence over League. Ciel, you earned a reprieve.

  8. Alrighty, if you know me, you know I love Theme Teams as referenced by Team Darker Than Black. So, this is a new team I made with another, slightly more fun theme. Here are my favorite members of the Yogscast, everyone's favorite Minecrafters! @ Life Orb Trait: Magic Guard EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Psyshock - Focus Blast - Shadow Ball - Hidden Power [ice] Leading the lineup is Rhythian, the master mage and lord of alchemy! This was the obvious choice, in all honesty. Magic Guard + Life Orb for damage boost with no recoil, Psyshock over Psychic so I can hit things with lower defense and I have Focus Blast and Shadow Ball to hit the low special defense things. Hidden Power Ice to deal with things like Gliscor. @ Rocky Helmet Trait: Regenerator EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Spore - Giga Drain - Sludge Bomb - Synthesis Following Rythian is the fair Zoey, lover of mushrooms. She wears a Rocky Helmet so she doesn't suffer any more head injuries. Spore 'cause hey, mushrooms love their spores. Giga Drain and Sludge Bomb for decent STAB moves and Synthesis for reliable healing. @ Leftovers Trait: Sand Rush EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Dig - Rapid Spin - Night Slash He is a dwarf and he's gonna dig a hole right through your team! IT'S SIMON, THE JAFFA SCARFING DWARF FROM KHAZ MODAN! Typical set, from what I understand. Swords Dance for an amazing attack boost, Rapid Spin to clear out hazards, Night Slash to kill what'd block his Spin, and Dig 'cause he's gotta dig those diggy holes. @ Air Balloon Trait: Magnet Pull EVs: 36 HP / 252 SAtk / 220 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Thunderbolt - Flash Cannon - Hidden Power [Fire] - Substitute Say hey to Duncan, the (slightly) mad scientist. Alright, this was a hard choice, but I ended up picking Magnezone for his techy-asthetic look. Air Balloon to nullify that 4x Ground weakness, Substitute so he can set up a semi-reliable defense from which he can fire off Thunderbolt, Flash Cannon, and HP Fire at those trapped Steel Types. @ Choice Band Trait: Mold Breaker EVs: 36 HP / 252 Atk / 220 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Outrage - Earthquake - Brick Break - Aerial Ace This is Teep, the dinosaur. It translated well to Haxorus and he kept the brutal nature. He doesn't talk much, preferring to simply charge in and all around mess up your day. Outrage for amazing STAB, EQ and Brick Break for coverage, and Aerial Ace is for Fighting and Bug types and is also a reference to the actual Teep because he is a master archer. @ Life Orb Trait: Steadfast EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Close Combat - Stone Edge - Shadow Sneak Rounding off the team is Lewis the Gallade. Everyone knows him, he's the gallant hero who charges into battle with a diamond sword at the ready, and Gallade is no different. Swords Dance to pump up an already impressive attack and then Shadow Sneak to hit them if they happen to be faster. Close Combat and Stone Edge for decent coverage and damage. I'm thinking about swapping CC for Psycho Cutter. That's it, folks. Leave your ideas and comments below, please. I'd love to really improve this team. Thanks for reading. Importable follows as always.
  9. I went from being 6-0'd by Charlotte yesterday to 4-0'ing her today. That is the quickest I've came back in all of League. Hey, Kaito, I'm gunning for your title of Comeback King.

  10. Digimon Season 3, Toriko, Cardfight Vanguard, Darker Than Black, Rurouni Kenshin, and Wolf's Rain.
  11. Gallade 'cause you're awesome and he's awesome looking.
  12. Who told you that? That is so inaccurate it isn't even funny. Water Gun has 40 base power, Hydro Cannon has 150. 40 =/= 150 last time I checked.
  13. Hax Machine Stunfisk (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Static EVs: 164 HP / 124 Def / 136 SAtk / 84 SDef Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Discharge - Scald - Yawn - Earth Power This is the set I'm using on the Stunfisk on my current team and I'll be damned if it doesn't work amazingly. Yawn will let me etiher force a switch on the opponent or hinder them, letting me switch into something that can better handle a threat. Discharge for STAB and para chance, Scald for a bit of coverage with burn chance, Earth Power for more STAB with a chance to drop their Special Defense, and to top it all off Static to punish them if they use a physical set. I use Leftovers for a bit of healing and the thing has very respectable bulk from what I've seen.
  14. At the moment, I'm playing... Pokemon StormSilver: Going through on a Nuzlocke adventure through Johto. Fun. Pokemon BlazeBlack: Once again, going on a Nuzlocke through Unova. Significantly harder than StormSilver, though. Golden Sun: I've always kicked myself for never finishing The Lost Age, so I'm going to beat the entire series hopefully FFV And VI: I love Final Fantasy, what can I say? Tales of the Abyss: The PS2 version, btw. I've loved the Tales games ever since playing Symphonia, so how could I not take a shot at Abyss after finally getting a PS2? And finally Persona 3: Shin Megami Tensei is an amazing series despite how rage inducing it is, and I'm not one to bypass an amazing game like this one.
  15. Alright, seeing as I've been running Porygon2 since it first came to Reborn, I can testify that it does belong in OU without a doubt. I've seen it take a Focus Punch from a Conkeldurr, I've seen it 2HKO several OU Pokemon just because of the coverage and power he has behind him. Not to mention it can inflict statuses with ease. It might be a digital rubber ducky but it is a rather impressive Pokemon.
  16. Alright, I edited the team again rather heavily and I'm rather proud of how it's been handling itself. Seeing as it hasn't been all that long since the last post here and it is still the same team technically, I didn't make a new topic. So, here we go again. @ Life Orb Trait: Compoundeyes EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk) - Hidden Power [ice]/Hidden Power Fire - Thunder - Giga Drain - Bug Buzz Returning with only slight edits is Grand Daddy the Galvantula. This thing has to be one of my favorite leads since I've started using it. I swap between HP Ice and HP Fire depending on what I see myself as needing.Thunder for STAB with Compoundeyes, Giga Drain to mess with any Rock/Ground types and heal off that Life Orb damage, and Bug Buzz to hit Grass types. @ Rocky Helmet Trait: Iron Barbs EVs: 104 Atk / 200 Def / 204 SDef Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd) - Curse - Leech Seed - Gyro Ball - Power Whip Yeah, exact same as last time because she works pretty well just as she is. I think this is a standard set that doesn't really need much explanation. @ Leftovers Trait: Static EVs: 164 HP / 124 Def / 136 SAtk / 84 SDef Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd) - Discharge - Scald - Yawn - Earth Power Say what you will. Say Stunfisk is the derpiest Pokemon in existance. I don't care. This little derpfish is a freaking HAX MACHINE. It can put you to sleep with Yawn, it can burn you with Scald, it can paralyze you with Discharge or Static! Earth Power can even lower your special defense! And with Leftovers, it has decent healing. @ Choice Band Trait: Sheer Force EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Lonely Nature (+Atk, -Def) - Crush Claw - Brave Bird - Rock Slide - Superpower Yeah, like Thorne, Uncle Sam didn't change at all. He does work just fine the way he is. Crush Claw and Brave Bird for STAB (if you have something to use instead of Claw, tell me. Really.), Rock Slide and Superpower for rather obvious reasons. @ Focus Sash Trait: Defiant EVs: 252 Atk / 36 Def / 220 SDef Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Swords Dance - Sucker Punch - Iron Head - Brick Break Yep, Dark Knight returns with a new moveset. Well, new move, really. Just as you guys suggested, he is now packing Brick Break over Poison Jab, and let me tell you what a difference it has made. Far superior. Everything else is the same. @ Life Orb Trait: No Guard EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - DynamicPunch - Earthquake - Rock Polish - Shadow Punch Another no change. He works incredibly well the way he is, though I do sort of want to run an Iron Fist set again eventually. Regardless, I've seen him turn entire battles around. Alrighty, folks, that's my new and upgraded team. Please, leave your criticisms below and give me more ideas for the team. Your suggestions have been amazing so far, keep 'em up. Import below as usual.
  17. I don't know if it has changed, Ame, but when I used Sawsbuck on my League Team, the default form was the only form that'd work. I think that as long as Summer doesn't alter the form of Sawsbuck while exporting, it'll be fine.
  18. ‎"What do you get if you multiply six by nine!? Forty-two!" - Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Radio Drama, Primary Phase, Fit the Sixth. Does anyone else find a slight flaw with that math?

      Skeleton

      Your calculator is wrong.

    3. Amethyst

      Amethyst

Hitchhiker logic trumps actual math. Duh.

    4. Diana

      Diana

You need a new calculator. All new models SHOULD be updated to fix that. 6x9=42. No matter what you say~

  19. Most of the issue regarding Pokemon not showing up has to do with their Forms. For instance, Summer, you tried to use a Sawsbuck Form. If you'd just used the base form, it'd work.
  20. I do have a ground. Edgar. And I can't help what I catch. If a Scyther is the first thing I see in a town or route, I'll catch it. If not, oh well. I can make due.
  21. Alright, so, I’m sure you all remember my Randomlocke Thread from a few months back, yeah? Well, I’ve been rather bored since then and, seeing as college has started, I need something to do to stop me from going insane, so… Welcome to my Storm Silver Nuzlocke! I hear you all saying “Just what is Storm Silver? I thought it was Soul Silver. This Poe-idiot is such a noob.” Well, Storm Silver is made by the same wonderful fellow who made Blaze Black/Volt White, and has much the same concept, just lacking 5th Gen. I would do a Blaze Black Nuzlocke and be done with it, but I don’t really want to restart and… Yeah. So, I assume you all know the general rules of a Nuzlocke, yeah? First Pokemon on each route barring duplicates, nickname every Pokemon, and if a Pokemon faints, it’s dead. Yatta yatta. Alright, intro crap over, let’s get this started! Chapter 1: A Cool Victory Against Violet Gym! Hi there! My name? Oh, it’s Poe. Not short for anything, just Poe. I live in the ever exciting region known as Johto! Anyway, I’m here to tell you all about my journey as a Pokemon Trainer, so sit back and relax, because this is going to be one awesome ride. It all started with a typical day, really. I woke up and started to browse around on my computer, doing research on all the different Pokemon there were. I’d always wanted a Pokemon partner, but my mom was a taaaaaaaaaaad bit over protective and wouldn’t let Professor Elm next door give me a partner a few years ago when I became ten. So, there I was, fifteen and stuck in New Bark Town. I probably would have stayed on the computer all day, but I heard mom calling me from downstairs. She told me two things, one was a bit disturbing. That bit of news was that Lyra was just here. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a nice person just… She’s kinda annoying. Then she said that Professor Elm was looking for me. He probably just needed me to help him sort out data on Pokemon again. I got my stuff from the hook on the wall, laced up my Running Shoes, and grabbed my bike before starting out. As soon as I stepped outside, a Marill tackled me. Wait… Marill. Shitshitshitshitshitshitshit…. Before I could even attempt to get away, Lyra’s door opened. I was trapped. O-Oh, she didn’t even notice me. Thank PokeHeaven. I walked into Professor Elm’s lab and he started talking about how we keep Pokemon in Poke Balls and how people used to just let their Pokemon walk with them. All stuff I’d heard from him before. Then he told me he was giving me my own Pokemon. I’m not going to lie to you all, I nearly squeaked with happiness. Nearly. I walked over to the small machine with three Poke Balls resting on the surface. I’d been waiting for this moment for years; I knew just which Pokemon was going to be my partner. I rotated the platform around and picked up the Poke Ball with Cyndaquil written across the top. I opened the Poke Ball and watched as Cyndaquil took form before my eyes. The small blue and yellow body, the flames running along his back… It was glorious. And he was my partner. I gently touched his head. “Mind if I call ya Rohan, buddy?” I asked, smiling at him. Rohan always struck me as a name of someone who could control fire. Cyndaquil happily yelled “Quil!” in what I assumed was an affirmative. Professor Elm smiled at us. “I have a favor to ask of you two. I have an acquaintance who calls himself Mr. Pokemon and he wants to show me some amazing discovery. But, I’m rather busy here, so will you go in my place?” I didn’t even answer, I just ran out of his lab with Rohan trailing behind me. Or, rather I would have. His assistant stopped me before I could leave and gave me some potions. I thanked him and shoved them into my backpack before running out. As I walked out I say Lyra playing with her Marill again. And then she noticed me. Shitshitshitshitshit…. She started talking about how cute Rohan was and how I should show him to my mom. Right, how about I not do that? Yeah, that sounds good. Mom’d freak. So, I tried leaving New Bark town and some lady stopped me and told me to go home to get my PokeGear. I, uh, guess there was no way for me to leave without showing mom Rohan then, huh? I sighed and started back towards my house, Rohan trailing behind me. This was not going to be fun. I walked into my house and she saw Rohan immediately. She smiled softly and said he was cute and went back to reading her book. “Professor Elm has asked me to go do something, mom,” I whispered. “Rohan here is going to be my partner.” I saw her flinch a bit; she wasn’t very trusting of Pokemon. Something about dad, I think. “I see.. I hope you two have fun on this journey, then...” she whispered. “Here, you’ll need your PokeGear if you’re going to be on a journey...” She pulled the small device from her pocket and handed it to me. I whispered a rather weak thanks as I walked out. Alright, awkward conversation over, now it’s time to go to find Mr. Pokemon. As I walked out of New Bark Town, I saw some red haired guy standing by Professor Elm’s lab. When I approached him, he shoved me away. Alright… I’ll just worry about him later. Time to go. Again before I could actually leave New Bark, I was stopped. This time by Professor Elm. He hurried out of his lab and quickly gave me his number in case I needed to call him. Alright, any more people wanna stop me? No? Good. It was time to go. I walked onto Route 29 and grinned. This was my first time out of New Bark Town. And with Rohan by my side, this was going to be a great experience. As we walked along the route, a Hoppip and a Starly jumped out at us that Rohan quickly beat down. Shortly after, we got to Cherrygrove City. As soon as I walked into the city, an old man randomly decided he was going to tell me stuff I already knew, but I decided to humor him anyway. He gave me an Old Rod for keeping up with him. How… Nice? I healed Rohan in the Pokemon Center and then started onto Route 30. As soon as I tried to leave the city, the old guy stopped me and gave me a Map Card for my PokeGear. Alright, now this gift is actually useful, gramps. Halfway up Route 30 I saw a house, so I ran in, hoping it was Mr. Pokemon’s house. The guy inside told me people often thought it was Mr. Pokemon’s place and asked me if I actually intended on visiting him. I decided to spare his feelings and just nodded. He grinned and gave me an Apricorn Box. Yay for weird gifts. As we continued up Route 30, a Ralts leapt out of the grass and hit Rohan with a devastating attack. Fearing for his safety, I quickly lifted him up and ran off despite his best efforts to stay and fight. I continued up the path, finally finding Mr. Pokemon’s house after countless battles. Standing outside his house, however, was the Sinnoh League Champion Cynthia. I recognized her from videos of her battles. What was she doing here in Johto…? She asked if I had heard the tale of ‘The Legendary Trainer.’ Awestruck, I shook my head no. She told me about a legend that a trainer would one day catch every Pokemon, all the common, the uncommon… Even the mythical Legendaries. All in an effort to see the Pokemon God. Before Cynthia left, she gave me a Poke Ball and smiled. “I can tell that Pokemon will help you a lot,” she said, nodding and walking off. I pressed the button on the Poke Ball and an Eevee popped out of it. He stared up at me with an icy look in his eyes. They seemed to pierce my soul, so that’s what I called him. Pierce. As soon as I walked into his house, Mr. Pokemon (Who shall now be referred to as Mr. Awesome-Stache) gave me a Pokemon Egg that apparently came from Ecruteak. He let Rohan rest before we started back to New Bark. Professor Oak walked over to me and started to talk while Rohan rested. He commented on how much Rohan and I cared for one another and he gave me a Pokedex. Let me say that again. THE Professor Oak just gave me the latest version of THE Pokedex. And then he gave me his number. Alright, can I just go ahead and say that this day has been the best day of my life so far? With Rohan and Pierce rested and the Pokedex and Egg in my backpack, we started out to go back to New Bark Town. When I stepped out of Mr. Awesome-Stache’s house, Professor Elm called me on the PokeGear. He said something was a disaster and that I had to return immediately. So I did the only thing possible. I laced up my Running Shoes tighter and ran as fast as I could. I dashed back to Cherrygrove and as I started down Route 29, the red haired guy from earlier ran up to me. “You… You have a Pokemon from the Lab. Hmph. It’s a waste on a wimp like you. Do you understand me? Let me show you what I mean!” He smirked and sent out a Totodile that immediately hissed at me. Pierce growled and stood in front of it, ready to fight. A few Tackles later, Pierce stood over Totodile, jumping up and down in joy for its first victory. “You’re just pathetic,” he whispered. “Remember my name, though, it’s Damon. I’m going to be the world’s strongest trainer.” And with that, he shoved past me and walked off through Cherrygrove. With that amazing victory handled, I ran back to New Bark Town to check on Professor Elm. I walked into Elm’s lab and saw police everywhere, examining all over the lab. I noticed a Poke Ball was gone from the table. Next thing I knew, a policeman was trying to say I was the thief. Yep, totally. ‘Cause I look just like that red haired idiot who just ran from New Bark. And then Lyra burst into the lab. Because I needed a bad situation to get even worse. O-Oh, she came here to say I’m innocent. Well, um, thanks, Lyra. The policeman then asked me if I knew his name and I nodded. “His name is Damon, and he certainly has Elm’s Totodile,” I whispered. The guy quickly jotted down the name and then ran out to hunt him down. Lyra left soon after, leaving just Elm and I in the crime scene. I pulled the Pokemon Egg out of my backpack and handed it to him. “This was Mr. Pokemon’s discovery,” I said, nodding. “It’s some sort of Pokemon Egg, but I can’t see any identifying markings.” We started talking for a bit after that and I showed him the Pokedex that Oak had given me and he started gushing about how amazed he was that Oak had given me one. Apparently, the little bit of red plastic marked me as someone Oak thought would be an amazing trainer. As I left the lab, Elm told me I should take on the Pokemon Gym Challenge. I looked down Rohan and Pierce. The closest gym was in Violet City and I know those two could handle it. I smiled at them and then started out. It may have been late, but I wanted to get started. Before I left, I decided to stop by my house to tell mom I wasn’t going to be home for quite some time. She didn’t seem too thrilled but offered to keep some of my money safe. I decided to let her do it. I just hope she doesn’t go spending it on worthless crap. As I ran out of New Bark, Lyra was there waiting for me. She started to teach me how to catch Pokemon but decided that I wasn’t an idiot that couldn’t throw a Poke Ball and just handed me plenty. That’s better. When she walked away, I started to scour the grass around me for a Pokemon to join my team. A Hoothoot flew at me from a tree and startled Pierce into attacking it. One Poke Ball later, Alexander the Hoothoot joined my team. I wandered up to Route 46 and started to search through the grass there. It must have been incredibly dark because I accidently stumbled upon a sleeping Numel. And by stumbled upon, I mean kicked it. And then it hit me in the shin. Pierce growled and tackled it before I through a Poke Ball and caught it, making the fourth member of my team Edgar the Numel. With that handled, I ran to Cherrygrove City, healed at the Pokemon Center, and stocked up on supplies before looking out at the ocean and then down at the old rod in my bag. A water type sounded pretty damn good right now, so I cast out. It took me a solid half hour to catch something, but the rewards were worth it. A Corphish grabbed hold of my line and leapt out at me. Pierce caught it off guard with a midair tackle and I caught it. That made Clawdette the Corphish the fifth member of my team. I decided to train a bit on Route 30 so that Alexander and Edgar could catch up to the rest of the team in terms of power. Alexander was going strong, hunting every bug he saw, when a Weedle managed to poison him. I used Pierce to quickly kill the Weedle before lifting up Alexander and running back to the Pokemon Center. I rushed in and sat him down on the counter. “Please help my Hoothoot, he’s poisoned!” I yelled, staring at Nurse Joy in panic. She tenderly lifted him out of my arms and took him to the back room. The waiting was torture; the minutes passed like hours. I gently stroked Pierce’s fur, trying to not worry myself to death. When she returned with Alexander, he flew over to me and sang happily. I grinned and held him close. “You’re very lucky, you know. If you had gotten him here any later, he wouldn’t have made it,” Nurse Joy whispered. “I know… Thank you, Nurse Joy.” I looked down at Alexander and patted him on the head. “Let’s be more careful this time, buddy,” I whispered as we walked back to route 30 to continue training. The battle that had been going on earlier was over now, so it was time for me to beat them both. The first trainer went on and on about his Rattata and how it was so amazing. It was so amazing Clawdette put him in his place. As I wandered onto Route 31, I began to crawl through the grass to try and sneak up on a Pokemon. I came upon a Wurmple and sighed. “Alright, Wurmple, survive this little trial by fire and you’re in, I guess.” I had Edgar use Ember on her and she just sat there glaring at me. Seeing as I am a man of my word, I caught her and named her Silk. As I continued down the route, Edgar grunted and tried to shove me in a cave. “Alright, alright. I’m going, Edgar,” I murmured, walking with him into the cave. The first thing I noticed was nothing because it was pitch black. Actually, no. That was an understatement. Edgar trudged in front of me and apparently bumped into a Teddiursa that got angry enough to almost kill him. Fearing for him, I sent out Clawdette in his place to fight, though his Fury Swipes still did a great deal of damage. Thanks to her Vice Grip, however, Vic the vicious Teddiursa joined me. As I walked into Violet City’s Pokemon Center, I saw a juggler working on his craft in the corner. He was inviting any and all challengers to take his quiz challenge. While my Pokemon were being healed, I decided I’d try it out. For completing his quiz, he offered me one of any of the Kanto starters. I picked up Bulbasaur’s Poke Ball and grinned. I put Silk and Edgar into the PC and then put Raffie and Vic on my team. As I left the Pokemon Center, the juggler said to keep an eye out for other Quiz Masters like him. I followed the path and saw the gym. This was what I had been waiting for... But then I saw the tower at the other end of the path. There was just something about it… I had to check it out. The gym could wait. One of the sages in the tower thought he’d be a smartass and try to use Poliwag against Rohan. I guess he didn’t expect for me to have Raffie with me. He laughed off the bubbles and even had time for a hypnosis induced nap before kicking Poliwag’s ass with Vine Whip. As I climbed up the ladder to the second floor of the tower, a Chatot swooped down at me It took the combined forces of Rohan, Vic, and Clawdette to finally weaken her and enable me to catch her. And so, Carly the Chatot was sent to my box. I continued up to the top level of the tower, using Rohan and Raffie to all but devastate anyone who stood in my way. I guess you can say everyone in the tower just needed a little… R&R. And Rohan even evolved from all the battled we had been doing. As I walked past the giant shaking pillar, I saw Damon and a man who I could only assume was the elder of the tower. Damon was ranting about how weak the elder was as a trainer and I sighed. When would he realize that treating his Pokemon like slaves would backfire in the end? He escape roped out of the tower and I walked up to the elder. “Would you like a battle as well, then, young one?” he asked, smiling at me. “Yeah, I would,” I said, sending Rohan out to battle. I felt sort of bad as Rohan systematically beat every single one of the elder’s Pokemon, but he kept smiling regardless. “You and your Pokemon have quite a bond,” he whispered. “Tell me, child, what is your favorite of Eeveelutions?” I looked down at Pierce and blinked. I hadn’t really thought about what he’d become someday. I mean, all of the Eeveelutions are useful in one way or another. The elder smiled and began laying out various stones, seven in all. “Each of these will make your Eevee evolve into one of its possible evolutions.” “Pierce, buddy, you pick which one you want,” I told him, watching him slowly approach the stones. He looked at them for a moment and then grabbed onto one that looked like a small icicle. “He has chosen the chilled ore,” the elder whispered as Pierce began to be covered in white-blue light. When it faded, Pierce was now a Glaceon. I smiled at him and touched his head. The elder also gave me a TM for Flash before we left. After managing to clear the challenges of the tower, we did some more training before finally kicking in the door of the Violet Gym. I didn’t really expect to see a huge platform suspended in the sky. I walked forward, confused. “How the hell am I even go-ING!” I , uh, yelled that last bit because I evidently stepped on a pressure sensitive elevator platform and got shot up to the suspended area. “That was not fun,” I whispered, walking onto the swaying wooden area. The minions fell easily to Pierce’s newfound Ice attacks and we soon stood in front of Falkner. “You know, people think that they can clip a bird’s wings with just a jolt of electricity. I’ll not tolerate such disrespect to my glorious bird Pokemon!” I only smirked as Pierce walked ahead of me. Every time Falkner sent out a new Pokemon, Pierce shot it down with one attack. Finally it sent out his sixth Pokemon, a Pidgeotto. I could tell it was his pride and joy, the one Pokemon he could always count on to bring him a victory. I wonder how he felt when Pierce one hit killed it. I took the Zephyr badge from him and started to walk away. “Oh, by the way, Falkner, I think you should get this draft fixed. All I feel right now is an Icy Wind.” I could feel his glare as I walked away and stepped onto the platform. I walked out of the gym and Professor Elm called me. Something about how that egg was absolutely amazing and he wanted me to hold onto it for him. I sighed and went to the Poke Mart to talk to his aide. Our conversation was brief, he just handed me the egg and asked me to carry it around with me. I sighed and nodded. “Alright, fine,” I whispered. I figured if I didn’t do it, then Elm’d be mad at me. As I walked out of the Poke Mart, a strange lady in a kimono walked up to me and told me that the egg I was holding was special. I nodded and watched her as she walked off. Today had just been all around odd and that was the odd icing on the odd cake. I went to the Pokemon Center and paid for a room. That night, my sleep was peaceful. I had Rohan and Pierce beside me, Clawdette and Raffie were both resting beside the egg, and Vic was rather happily sleeping on Pierce’s back. I didn’t care what happened tomorrow. For now, everything was peaceful. (And know, because I know you’re all dying to know just how my Pokemon are, here’s a quick list. Party: Pierce the Glaceon (level 16), Rohan the Quilava (level 17), Clawdette the Corphish (level 13), Vic the Teddiursa (level 8. He’s going to be trained, I promise.), Raffie the Bulbasaur (level 13), and Egg. The egg will only be there until it hatches. PC: Edgar the Numel (level 6), Silk the Wurmple (level 6), Carly the Chatot (Level 12. Yes, Carly is a reference to Carly Rae Jepsen.), and Alexander the Hoothoot (level 9. I do plan on using him again once the egg hatches.) And that’s what I’ve got so far. Please leave a comment below with your opinions. Thanks for reading, everyone!)
  22. Rotomfan, we have a thread for battle logs. If you'd be so kind as to keep battle logs in that thread, and logs from chat on Reborn here.
  23. Alright, to all of you who missed my Randomlocke story, I'm currently working on two projects. I'm not going to say what they are, but you can expect to see the first chapter of them up in a week or so.
