  1. Honestly, I like Incineroar's design. At first, I was dissapointed it was another bipedal fire type. Then, I realized that it looked like the Garmraid from Super Robot Wars. Heck, its Darkest Lariat even looks the the strongest move you can use with Garmraid...minus the spinning. That's when it won me over. The attack in question:
  2. " then you up ppl break stairs, you bug gym leader she sad and lonely you heather again heather is still brat heather gets taken by doctor you beat bug gym , then you go save heather , you save alot of kids you go underground , door no work, you challenge shade ghost man, you beat him, door open BUT IT WAS A TRAP" Truly, the finest poetry of our time.
  3. When I was trying to catch shiny Beldum it took me about an hour just to find it, and then it didn't have the EV/IV distribution that I wanted. So I soft-reset and it took 3 days to find it again. It had a similar distribution to what I wanted, so I kept it. Worth it, but extremely tedious. I really hope Beldum and its line aren't pushed back next episode since Metagross has been one of my favorite Pokemon since Gen III.
  4. I had no idea they were still making music, especially not music sounding like it walked out of a Coldplay album. I like it a lot.
  5. Currently in my sophomore year at university studying aerospace engineering.
  6. Hey all, So when I was a kid, I wasn't allowed to play video games all that often. This was during the golden age of the PS2/Xbox/GameCube, so I often had to go to my friends' houses in order to play Smash Bros, Metroid Prime, the original Call of Duty etc. A few days ago, I was discussing this era of gaming to my roommate (an avid PC gaming enthusiast who similarly wasn't allowed to play games as a child) and how I missed the general feeling from that generation, with late-night split-screen gaming to loading a new disk and hearing any one of those consoles' startup jingles. I was discussing the multiplayer of StarFox Assault (which is still one of my favorite games) when I came to the realization that a.) I am an adult with an income now, and b.) If I am responsible in how I do this, I can find the games from my childhood and play them, nearly a decade later. So, Reborn Community, I need your help! I came across a person selling their GameCube, StarFox Assault and Adventures (and a Nintendo Power magazine featuring Assault) online and I just received it from the mail. I'd like to start building a collection of GameCube games that I wanted when I was younger, or that might be hidden gems that are still fun to play. So far on this list is: StarFox Assault* StarFox Adventures* Super Smash Bros Melee Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door Mario Kart: Double Dash Custom Robo Metroid Prime 1 and 2 Pokemon Colosseum/XD * Denotes what I have so far. If you guys know of any other games I should be on the look out for, please recommend them to me!
  7. I love Drum n' Bass, and I've been hooked to this track I found.
  8. Oof, that was a tough fight. I had a team set up to put status effects on Arceus, but El just uses full heals. Then I went with a team that led with a fighting type (I think I had Pangoro), and just wailed on him with whatever I could. I used all my Pokemon, chipping down its health until I had my Noivern take the final blow. It was able to outspeed the Arceus, so investing in fragile pokemon that are also very quick to give you the initiative might help as well.
  9. All the starter final evos look great. I wasn't too happy when I first saw the Litten final evolution a couple months back from the Chinese leaks, but after seeing its 3D model its grown on me. The owl wins design wise hands down though. Also, apparently the UB's can be caught, but not by regular pokeballs? I hope that's the case. Regardless, All I see when I look at Litten's final form is this:
  10. But in all seriousness, that is some awesome sprite work. That Hydreigon has some crazy detail to it.
  11. At a certain point in the game (I think after the 3rd gym, but don't quote me on that) trainers show up within the Grand Hall that you can repeatedly battle. Each day has a different rotation of trainers, and I've been able to raise Pokemon from level 1 to the current level cap (75) in the span of an hour/hour and a half. Its a grind, but you get a decent cash payout and quick and easy experience.
  12. Wow, this is great. The "Now Cain is my best friend" image had me chuckling. Keep up the good work friend.
  13. Has to be Golurk. Love me a Pokemon version of Mazinger Z. To a lesser extent, Zoroark.
  14. I look forward to the new Episode as much as I'm looking forward to Sun/Moon. I've been excited for E16 since I graduated high school about a year ago. Reborn has a pretty developed story line, and I look forward to see how all the different plot lines established so far end up.
  15. This song always gives me the chills. It just sounds so triumphant yet somber. This has always been a favorite of mine. I was pretty excited since it was re-done in HD for Super Robot Wars: Moon Dwellers. Lastly, this one due to the musical instruments used in it.
  16. I would take the time to level up your party using the Grand Hall trainers, and catch/breed new Pokemon that might give you an edge in the upcoming gym battles (I'm looking at you, Dragon's Den field). Don't forget to EV train as well, it gives you an extra boost to the stats you want your 'mons to excel in.
  17. I like to think of this as my Reborn player character's theme.
  18. 1.) Atmosphere - Dark Crystal This is probably my favorite track in the game. It might be the reason I spent so much time in Iolia Valley, just listening to the music. I adore the bass in this song, as well as the piano. This is the kind of music that plays when you are rising to meet a challenge, and to surpass it. 2.) Atmosphere - Crystal I like this track for similar reasons as Dark Crystal. Atmosphere - Crystal is a much more foreboding song in my opinion, where Dark Crystal has you rising to meet a challenge, this song represents the challenge itself. With an alarm-like riff coupled with the chimes, it really set how "off" the area beneath the Stairwell was. 3.) Atmosphere - Explore I believe that this is the Route 2 music that plays outside the Circus. Its a very melodic and peacful piece, which helped calm me down while doing the rather infuriating Crustle puzzle. At the same time, it has a nice driving backbeat that gives the song a lot of energy. 4.) Battle - Meteor Admin Admins of any team are no joke, and Meteor is no exception. This theme hammers home how intense the fights are and how critical it is that you win them. 5.) Atmosphere - Ride I don't know if this song is in the game yet, but I found it while browsing the BGM folder of the game a while back. Its another melodic piece with an awesome guitar and violin duet, accompanied with a good beat from the drums.
  19. I've always liked crows due to their intelligence, but I began adding a reference to a raven or crow to my usernames online after I began playing the video game series Armored Core. In those games you pilot giant robots as a mercenary, and the term for mercenaries in the Armored Core universe is "Ravens". As a nod to the game series, I started calling myself "Corvus" since its the name for the constellation of a raven. The "Wandering" is just there to sound cool. (As a bit of a side note, my current profile picture is of a robot called a Huckebein, which was named after a German comic book character who was incidentally, a raven).
  20. I think Titania would be a good fit for the "Base Breaker" title, for all the points you specified. Sure, she is a cool character but her disregard for the lives of enemy grunts is rather disturbing. I would also nominate Heather for the "Scrappy" title, due to how she acts for the majority of the time you know her. She manipulates her friend Shelly into agreeing with her, is generally unpleasant to talk to early on, and after you save her from the orphanage she simply flies off without saying anything. Despite this, we are inclined to feel sorry for her. Granted, she did go through a lot of trauma, so I don't know if that is a deciding factor or not.
  21. Nice, a new puzzle. All of the new screenshots/move animations look awesome! As a quick side-note, strength puzzles remind me of Gen 4 for some reason, which I can't quite understand.
  22. This has to be the most compelling DC Comics storyline I've ever come across.
  23. Thanks guys, and I have to say the Reborn community is one of the best online communities I've seen in a long time. Also: My good sir, I see your Gespenst Kick and raise a TROMBE! in your name. Also, nice title. Excellen Browning is great.
  24. Hello everyone! The name's WanderingCorvus, and this is something I've been meaning to do for a while now. I've been a fan of Reborn since I was introduced to it during high school, around Episode 12 or 13. Needless to say, I was hooked on the game, and have been following its development for about three years now. It's incredible to see how much progress has been made since those days; I remember when just walking through Opal Ward was enough to cause lag in the game. Serious props to Ame and the rest of the development team. I've been playing Pokemon since I was eight, and my favorite generation so far has been Gen 4. I just loved the story, the Pokemon designs, and the atmosphere of the Sinnoh region. Other than Pokemon, I am a fan of the Ace Combat, Armored Core, Super Robot Wars, Mega Man and Fire Emblem series. I'm a huge fan of robotics and aircraft, which explains two things. Firstly, my favorite type being Steel, and secondly my inclination towards mecha/sci-fi shows. My friends often call me the "plane freak" due to my..."ahem" obsessive nature over aeronautics. I guess that 's what led me to where I am now, as I am currently studying aerospace engineering at my university. I guess, just for fun, I'll list out my top 10 favorite Pokemon. It's an honor to fly with everyone here, after all the skies of Reborn are worth protecting, right? WanderingCorvus' squadron members: 1.) Metagross - It's a living, quad core supercomputer spider tank. Yes. 2.) Torterra - Best bro among the starter final evolutions. It's your personal continent/turtle friend who can handle itself in a fight quite nicely. 3.) Lucario - It reminds me of Gundam Exia for some reason. (It even has Trans-Am thanks to mega-evolving now). 4.) Garchomp - What you get when you fuse a jet with a shark. 5.) Aggron- Its Pokemon Mechagodzilla. 6.) Luxray - Electric lions with x-ray vision. Awesome. 7.) Tyrantrum - Typing aside, its a proper T-rex. Unlike Rampardos. 8.) Zoroark - It reminds me of Zero from Megaman X. I think its the hair. 9.) Noivern - This one looks like an F-14 Tomcat to me for some reason. 10.) Delphox - A psychic starter evolution? Sign me up.
