Through her frustration, Excalibur responds with encouragement. The sword flares with power as Rosanne lunges forward at the archer. As the blade sinks into the archer's leg, ice spreads and in the blink of an eye the archer is stuck in a glacier of ice. Rosanne faces the enemies who are still alive, leaving the sword stuck in it's new icy sheathe. "I am Queen Rosanne Pendragon, the true ruler of this kingdom. You are invading my lands, threatening my people in these dire times. That I can never forgive. So if you think you can take me down, you are sorely mistaken; I will never give up until everyone who threatens the peace of my kingdom has been punished." With a clean motion she reaches behind her and pulls out excalibur from the glacier. The ice shatters, leaving not a single trace of what the archer once was. She brings the sword forward pointing it at the enemy commander. "I swear upon this blade that deemed me worthy, Excalibur Glacius." And her blast pursues the soldier, and topples him over sending him into the still waters of the marsh. EXP: 82/100 [Glacius Phase Continues]

As Mercia comes closer the archer ducks for cover and manages to dodge her attack. EXP: 76/100 [Glacius Phase Continues]

Neve's arrow flies, and barely penetrates the soldier's armor. But at this point, the soldier is so bloodied that any hit could topple it. Mercia's magic throws the Shaman off balance, keeping him from being able to counter attack properly. Rosanne moves in with the opening Mercia created, and with a single lunge takes the Shaman down for good. Blodeuyn's blast seeps under the Soldier's armor, tearing at his flesh but he still stands strong. 68/100 [Glacius Phase Continues]

Rosanne got back up, running forward and taking medicine. She immediately felt physically better, but not emotionally. "Come on Rosanne what are you doing." She muttered. Taking a deep breath, the Queen prepared herself for what was to come. Neve shoots and arrow, flying through the tree line and coming out of the other side into the Myrmidon's chest knocking him over. [Tsukiochi Phase] Soldier C moves to F9 and attacks Rosanne A soldier rushes at the Queen, and her speed isn't enough to dodge his thrust. However, as she weaves to the side a recovers from the blow she pokes two wounds under the soldier's army leaving him much worse for wear. Fighter C moves to 10E Shaman C moves to 9E and attacks Rosanne And as Rosanne ripostes, a bolt of dark magic from the hands of a cursed hits her. Revitalised, Rosanne runs to the other front, sending a barrage of icicles at the Archer. After he is taken care of she turns back. "There is a lot of strength in your words Sir Knight. I know I made the right choice in choosing you." 36/100 Cheat Sheet: [Glacius Phase Continues]

Axe and magic combine together, flying at the soldier and defeating him in one fell swoop. Blodeuyn's hit strikes true, dealing light damage to the swordsman "My Queen, please be more cautious. You are far too important to get injured here." Lucan says, taking out a staff and healing Rosanne's wounds. "Of course Lucan, I'll be careful. Thank you." Rosanne then re-focuses on her take at hand. She raises one hand in front of her and her on her other hand pointing at her target. Using the last of it strengths, the fighter ducks under the blast. He sighs in relief, mutters something in a foreign language and readies for battle. Fighter A moves to G10 and attacks Mercia But as the fighter rushes in to try and complete his mission, Mercia easily bests him. From Mercia's hands erupted a beam of light that grazed the fighter, but the man was still very much ready to fight. "Let us begin, without interruption!" Rosanne ran forward, excalibur in hand and when she was at a fair distance from her target stabbed the ground with her sword. From around the myrmidon, two icicles formed impaling him and ending his campaign immediately. And after a day's ride they were at the shores of the Marshlands. True to their name, even near the shore the lands were filled with bogs and small lakes. And a group of soldiers camping out could be seen. They immediately scrambled to grab their weapons. "I am Queen Rosanne, turn back now and return to your lands invaders. Tell your Emperor to stop his advance on our lands." The soldiers gave no response, and instead took steps towards the party. Rosanne sighed and drew Excalibur. "It seems like there is a language barrier. So we'll sadly have to resort to more universal methods of getting our point across. I'll protect this country at all costs, so follow me: together we'll drive these invaders back to their island." And from the tree line emerged a hat; and a person under the hat of course because hats do not move by themselves. "I'm sorry I'm late... Oh goodness I haven't run so much... Ever..." The girl managed to say, in between heavy breaths. "But! The show must go on! And with I, the great and wondrous Vivianne here to assist all of you, you are in safe hands!"

"I'll have this cleaned up in minutes, and then I'll get to pet her adorable ears." Naomi beamed, hugging herself and closing her eyes. "Oh I'm so happy, finally I meet someone who is like me." She took medicine from her pocket and brought it up to her lips. And then she faced forward, ready for her next opponent. "Come on, I'm ready. Whoever you are, you'll face 300% Naomi!" If her icy shield cracked before, now there was a clear slash through it. Rosanne covered her mouth as she tried stop herself from laughing. On the other hand, Lucan found it a lot less amusing. "I'm glad someone finds this mockery entertaining." Lucan says, spitting venom but arms still firmly behind his back. The only sign of annoyance was in his voice. "No Gwyn, I am... I am afraid there is no cure for Lucan's stuffy butt." She had to cover her mouth again as a burst of laughter erupted from her.

Rosanne's cold exterior cracked for a single moment, to reveal a smile of relief and joy. "Thank you. I promise to in turn, to never betray your faith in me." And as soon as it came, her demeanour returned her more "queenly" self. "We have a lot of work ahead of us. We will have to juggle this invasion, and quelling the rebels. We'll have to convince the rebel houses to return to the fold, and reform the Round Table so they may serve the kingdom as a united force once more. We depart early in the morrow, so make sure to rest early tonight. But before I dismiss you, if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them."

Chapter 1: The Ice Queen's March Year 1527: 6th of Second Heat The Queen has summoned you. You were lead by servants into a somewhat cramped, oval shaped room. In the middle is the famous round table, with six seats arranged around the table. As the servant instructs you take a seat. As more people arrive, only one seat is left unoccupied and it's easy to guess that it would be the Queen's. The other people who arrived you recognise from around the castle. Maybe you even talked to them, but this is the first time that all five of you are together. Soon afterwards, a servant with a tray full of tea enters the room. You recognise him as Lucan, Rosanne's personal butler that is always present with her. He places a cup of tea in front of each of you. "Master Candide, Lady Neve, Lady Blodeuyn." He refers to each person as he places a cup in front of them. And then there is a clear change in his tone of voice as he addresses the last two. "Lady Mercia, Master Gwyn." With the tea served, he bows his head slightly. "The Queen will be with you shortly." And he takes his leave. A quarter of an hour later, the doors open up again. Rosanne Pendragon walks in, fully armored and with Excalibur at her side. Following her are Lucan and of course, Merlin. She takes her seat on the free chair and makes contact with everyone present, one at a time. And then she begins: "Thank you for coming. I have gathered all of you today, because I have a request. Should you accept, all of you will have the opportunity to serve directly under me, and protect this country from threats." Rosanne paused to gauge everyone's reactions and then continued. "I have chosen each one of you because of your skills, and because I feel like I can trust you. And that is the thing I need the most right now, people who I can trust. Please do not fail me." Lucan takes the cue, and unfurls a map of Tameloc on the centre of the table. The Queen gets up, and unsheathes her excalibur. With the tip she points at the map, specifically at a region near the shores of the Marshlands. "Rumors of the Tsukiochi Empire's invasion are true, as more and more scouts have been found inland. Our navy has intercepted a large vessel out at sea and was unable to sink it. However they must have taken heavy losses. Given the ship's trajectory it will most certainly make ship fall in this area. We will go out and intercept them. The Marshlands are in open rebellion against us but I will make a statement by going myself. I will show them that I fear no one, and will put my life in the line for this country." She lifts her eyes from the map and looks upon you again. "And I ask the same of you as well. Our force will be small so that we may move quickly, it will be the five of you Lucan and Merlin-" "Forgive me, my queen, but I will not be joining you." Merlin interjects. "I have urgent matters that require my attention outside of the capital. I hope that the greatest of my apprentices will suffice in this battle." Rosanne sighs deeply. "So be it. We will be seven, but more than enough to intercept the survivors in the vessel. Additionally, we have information that Lancelot The Black was sighted in a nearby village. After we have dealt with the invaders, we will travel to this village and speak to him if he is there. The Knights of The Round Table still hold a great deal of respect with the people of Tameloc, having one on our side would greatly increase support for our cause and our fighting power." Sheathing Excalibur, the Queen sits back down and pauses for a moment. "I understand that I am asking a lot of you, there is no shame in refusing my request. But if you accept, I expect you to fight with all your might. Might that I know you are all capable of. So, will you join me?"

Fire Emblem On The Forums: Excalibur Hi guys, it's ya boy Pyon To The Pyon To the Kyuu, here with another social experiment for you. Y'all know the drill of FEF by now, but here's the twistof this one. Exlink and I are going to run the FEF equivalent of Fire Emblem Fates. Here's how it's going to work. We're going to take 10 players total (we might expand this number if we really need to.) 5 players will be playing in Fire Emblem: Excalibur Glacius run by me which will follow the adventures of Princess Rosanne Pendragon in her efforts to stabilise the country after the death of her father. And the other 5 will be playing in Fire Emblem: Excalibur Infernus run by Ex, which will follow the adventures of Nicolos attempting to end the Pendragon monarchy and take rule into the hands of the people. We will be running a PvE maps and PvP maps in sequece. So every other map will be PvP. These PvP maps will have story consequences in ultimately deciding the future of the land of Tameloc. I'd like to ask a level of maturity from the players, PvP in FEF is probably imbalanced. Ex and I will do our best to make things fair both sides, but please never take it out on us or your fellow players. All of us want to have fun while crafting a cool story so please never take the PvP aspect too seriously. We will be using the 2.1 ruleset, and might update to newer versions as they come out. When you are submitting a character, you are allowed to create two different backgrounds to fit either side of the story. In the end, we'll pick based on character quality and no class necessity. There will be NPCs filling in for any support classes that are missing, so do not play a healer/performer/thief because you think it's needed. Play what you want. Also please send the character sheet to both me and Ex either through discord or the Reborn forums. Along with your character sheet, we'd like a backstory and the reason they are joining the particular side you want. Again, if you'd like you can send in two different backstories to join either of the sides. We are completely willing to weave your character into the narrative so please talk to us to find a place for your character in the world we have created! The people of Tameloc do not know how the world was created, as when their written history begins the dragons and faeries have long existed before them. And these dragons and faeries don't know how the world began either. The humans at first warred with the dragons, as the dragons didn't find them worthy of sharing their lands. Until one man united the humans, and showed the true potential of man to the dragons. The dragons respected the humans for it, and gave them the Fire Emblem. A magical object powered by their own light magic that can grant great power to anyone as worthy to rule as the first human King. This King was given the name Pendragon, and his lineage has ruled Tameloc for a millennium and a half. However darkness has befallen the kingdom in the last century. King Roswell, a greedy and selfish man took the throne. He lead the kingdom into despair, ignoring the needs of it's citizens and the troubles. Six great heroes who served the realm, The Knights Of The Round Table were the only thing saving the kingdom from being overrun by the cursed forces to the East. Nobles and commoners despised him, and so the leader of the Knights confronted the King. And payed with his life. Arthur was publicly executed for treason, an action that lead to the disbanding of the Knights Of The Round Table. A few weeks after Arthur's execution, King Roswell was slain as well. By his daughter, Princess Rosanne Pendragon. She declared herself Queen, but the people protested, claiming that she only killed her father to gain power herself. And so, on the Sixth of the month of First Heat, she asked Merlin the great wizard councillor of the King for help. In front of all the citizens of the capital, she stood in front of the Fire Emblem. As she grasped at the object it glowed with a blue light, and from it's center gem came a rapier, with a golden hilt and encrusted with gems. The Fire Emblem had deemed her worthy. "People of Tameloc, this blade proves my claim to throne. The throne is mine by birthright, and yet the Fire Emblem given to us by the dragons has chosen me. I carry the same blood as my father, but I am nothing like him. I will restore this country to glory, I swear to protect it's lands and it's people. I swear to be a right and just Queen. After all, every man and woman in this country hated the King and yet I was the only one brave enough to strike him down. If that alone isn't proof, than this blade, Excalibur Glacius, is the proof that I am your Queen." Rosanne's speech was met with applause and cheering, until a man ran up into the castle walls from where Rosanne stood. He threw away every guard that intercepted him with trained moves. Most, if not all present recognised him. He was Nicolos, a man who had recently become as famous as the Knights of the Round Table for his heroism. A known ex-bandit turned hero, he served the people often clashing with the direct servants of the crown. He stood before the Princess and all her people, and declared. "Being worthy and being wanted are not the same thing, Princess. Your lineage has long torn this country to the ground, your father was just the worst of it. You let the people starve and fight off the Cursed, while you are safe here in the Capital, far from all our problems. I know I don't speak just for myself when I say: you are no Queen of mine. This country needs someone new, someone that will care for the people." The Fire Emblem, in reaction to Nicolos speech began glowing. A flash of red blinded the crowd, and when all eyes were clear a large blade appeared in his grasp. A beautiful golden blade, gleaming down to the hilt. The pommel adorned with a ruby and the hilt wrapped in dark leather. Nicolos grinned, maybe if he wasn't in front of everyone he would break out into laughter. "And it seems the Fire Emblem agrees. People of Tameloc, it seems that you finally have a choice. SHE and her corrupted bloodline are not your only choice. This sword, Excalibur Infernus, proves my worthiness as King just as much as the Princess'. I represent change, I represent a way out for the common people and an end to the games played by nobles and the royalty alike." Shortly after, the two fought. On top of the castle walls, they dueled unleashing the full power of their respective weapons. It ended with both the Princess and the new King-to-be heavily wounded. And as the castle guards recovered and came to Rosanne's aid, Merlin's Apprentice Vivianne intervened. With a flash of magic, she teleported away with Nicolos. It's been about a month since the event, and the Kingdom is divided. People brawl on the streets openly, as claiming either Rosanne or Nicolos as ruler is enough to spark debate. Nicolos and his ally Vivianne escaped South East into the Marshlands where Bernard Moss, the Lord of the Marshlands backs his claim and houses him. Rosanne can not attack directly, as House Moss holds incredible armies and is tasked with protecting the border from the Cursed Forces, an absolutely vital task. During this month both Nicolos and Rosanne have gathered trusted allies and both are ready to make their move. To make matters worse, scouting forces from the faraway Island Empire of Tsukiochi are landing on the coast of Tameloc. They surely mean to take advantage of the civil war. It is time for the people to make a choice. Will they side with Princess Rosanne, or the Hero Nicolos. Setting Information!
