Greek FEF: Part I - Underworld's Ascent
Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~ replied to Aurorix's topic in Unofficial Official RP Club's General
Aristotle could feel the familiar pain of battle, as wounds got past his armor. For a long time, he felt alive. But he also noticed glares from his allies. Earlier the green dragon girl had glared at him, and the blue-ish one too. And now he had to hear prattle from the demon girl. "Necessity huh." He said as he backed off from his opponent for a moment. "I am not fighting out of necessity, I am fighting because I want to return to the land of the living." Aristotle made sure to be loud, so anyone who shared her mind could hear him. "If you have an issue with me, so be it. Right now we share a -

Greek FEF: Part I - Underworld's Ascent

Aristotle listened to the fiend's argument. They deserved to be down there. He didn't doubt it, his life had been full of violence and very little charity. But that's all the more reason why he should leave. As Ares meant for the Spartans, it was up to him to carve his own path. He readied his javelin. "Now then, let's get properly warmed up." Javelin Revenant, taunt Fiend A -

Aristotle rubbed his shoulders, and stretched his calves. He took a look at the javelin and frowned. "It could be heavier. But I'm in no position to be picky" He glared at his target and adjusted his aim with his free arm. He threw the missile at the skeleton and before even confirming if it hit, he began to shout. "Come on rottenbones, show me what you've got. I've been in chains for years on end, put up a fight or I'll bring it to you." Move to F11 attack and Taunt Skeletonboi -

"So that's your game huh." Aristotle grinned. Argos seemed like a proper fool, but he knew that from the start. But it didn't matter if he was foolish or not, Aristotle had a gut feeling that this wasn't a joke, that this man could actually get him out of the underworld. And it seemed like his gut feeling was correct. His body naturally tensed up, as he straightened his back and stretched his arms as far as his restraints allowed him. "I don't know about all this peace and justice. Once I've done my part, I'll go share some Spartan justice of my own. Even if one day our paths won't align, my s -

Aristotle looked around the room as people came in. He was really starting to believe there might be a breakout. After all, what sense was there in letting these specific people take a break in a different room. He tested his luck. "Get these chains off me, or get me back to work. My body was just beginning to warm up." Aristotle said to the unshackled girl. -

Mug will exist if he makes it in. "You're going up above huh? I'll help you out. I've got a score to settle with a little Queen up there. Just think of the songs, "The Undying Bull." Quite the name right?" -
Lysander watched Famine disappear. After he was gone, Lysander tapped the tome on his belt activating it's power. He drew from the wind magic from it, gathering it in his hands and with a loud battlecry, threw a wind slash at the place Famine had been standing just a few moments ago leaving a deep cut in one of the trees. He stood with his back turned to Leonore, breathing heavily. He broke the silence after a minute. "In South of Perus, a disease is running wild. It has affected poor and rich alike, including my loved ones. A noble house offers a cure, but at exorbitant prices.

Lysander was taken aback. His surprise was clear regardless of his mask. He expected anything from Famine, except this. So he just baited him along just to taunt him? He wanted to seem like he was a fan, just to throw it all in his face? That after all this time, Famine was the man behind everything Lysander tried to destroy. "W-why?" His voice trembled. For a second he wasn't the Marvel Thief or even Lysander. He was Lys, a scared young boy. He took a long deep breath and asked again this time with his Marvel Thief voice. "Why? Do you feel no shame? Does money matter that much to you that you

Lysander thought for a bit about how to answer. "We're going to do what thieves do best." He answered. "I'll take the next question Mink. Like I told you there are personal things I need to know from him. Famine, other than my exploits what do you know of House Daxter?"

"Simple enough game." Lysander grins under his mask. "The answer to your question simple too. We're here in Ulux on a mission." He turns to Lenore and gestures with his hand. "Mink, would you like to take the first question?"

"A game? Well I'll humor you. What are the rules of this game." His tone was friendly, but his right hand didn't stay far from his belt always close to his tome.

"Then let's get going." He took the lead, walking them out of the camp. Hopefully it seemed natural as they left the camp, and towards the battlefield from earlier that day. As soon as they were out of the camp's light he put on his mask, and from under his cloak he took out a pair of black gloves and put them them on. "As soon as you feel anything fishy, let me know. We don't know what to expect, our instincts have to be on point." He said as they further into the trees.

Lysander shook his head. "Again, I don't want to spook him away. It's not just Kane on edge, everyone in the camp seems to be in a sour mood. The meeting place isn't far from the camp, if we do get into a fight we can run back and draw him closer to the safety of the camp. Do you have your things? We'll depart as soon as you're ready."

"Not yet. Things are stressful right now, I don't want to add to his plate. After the meeting, I'll inform him of everything that we learn that is relevant to the group. You can hold me accountable to that."

"You remember the eccentric mage on the battlefield? Famine I think was his code name. I don't have any personal history with him, but he seems to be a fan of the Marvel Thief. I know that over the course of my 'career' I've gathered gratitude and adoration from the people but... I never imagined someone as strange as this fellow... However, he's a strong mage. Far stronger than me, and my magics have a natural disadvantage against his. If it comes to combat, I'll lose for sure. But with the help of our group, we can take him down no problem. However if we go all together we'll just spook him.

"Back up." He answered simply. Lysander pulled from inside his cloak a scroll, holding it up with one hand. . "During the confusion at the end of the battle, I got this thrown at me. It's enchanted with powerful dark magic and it has a message from the enemy. They have an interest in me, and some of the targets of my heists. They plan to meet me after dark, but I don't trust them as far as I can throw them." He paused for a moment thinking how much he should share with Lenore. Lysander sighed, and put away the scroll. "I want to use this opportunity to gather all information about

Leaving Baldur's tent Lysander sighed. On one hand it was good that Baldur had refused his offer. He needed someone he could trust to watch his back, and Baldur's outbursts weren't safe. On the other, he felt bad seeing him in such a broken state. But Lysander wasn't a wordsmith, it wouldn't be his encouragement that could drag him out of there. Lysander searched for Lenore throughout the camp, his second on his list of possible companions.

"Lenore was my second option. Kane is out of the question, for certain reasons. I chose you because I thought it fair. The Daxters have hurt far too many people, if you were one of their victims I wanted to give you the tools to enact your own justice." Lysander paused for a moment, fist clenched. Just thinking about them made him sick, but he kept his cool. "Thank you for your honesty Baldur. I'm going to go find Lenore, I hope your recovery is swift." And with a short bow, he turns to leave the tent.

He opened the tent's flap and ducked a little to come in. He casually looked around, not surprised at the state of the tent. Lys made eye contact with Baldur, and with an unflinching face started speaking. "I'll get to the point Baldur, during the battle I discovered you've had a run in with the Daxters. Well so have I, and I might have a lead on getting know more about them. But I need you to trust me, and even more importantly I want to be able to trust you. If you don't think you can do either, say the word and I'll be out of your way. I can't afford to have someone I can't trust come with

Lysander helped Kane and the others in setting up the camp. The whole time hiding his thoughts about the contents of the letter he received. He had to tell someone, he needed help. But from who? After a long time of thinking he decided to go with the choice that was the most fair, rather than the one that was the smartest. He stood outside of Baldur's tent. "Baldur, it's me Lysander. How are you feeling? If you are feeling better, I've got something very important to discuss with you."
