  1. Welcome to Reborn, enjoy your stay here~
  2. Third gym is Marianette's gym, which is under Gearen Sewers, go talk to Augustus(the captain of S S Oceana) to bring you back to Gearen City, though i thought you cant proceed to Goldenwood until you get third badge, how'd you manage to get past the barricade that Ren's set up and got to Narcissa, it need Venam's assistance to melt the barricade down after visit to Marianette's castle?
  3. The field(Short Circuit field) renders the Ghost type to hit Normal type i suppose~I handled Gengar with a ParaHex on my first run, Gengar is a glass cannon with high speed and special attack, once you nullify either of the stats, it is useless, if you manage to paralyze it with T-wave(use Ampharos or Emolga over Minun, for Amphy, special defense is better, while for Emolga is faster than Minun and outspeed Gengar), the speed drop will allow your other decent speed mons to take him out of the picture~Your Mightyena with Intimidate and Dark typing should be able to wall Banette, use it to check Banette~ or since your Mightyena packed swagger, Rotom doesnt have physical moves, so swagger it to buff up its physical attack, use its boosted attack against itself in confused stat~
  4. The only pokemon with that combo is Togekiss and i dont know if your Mystery Egg happens to hatch into Togepi~Like mde said, psychic might be the answer to Kiki, the only non legendary duo psychic/fighting in pokemon games are Gallade and Medicham, and Kiki has one of them, their major flaws are their frail defense and abysmal special attack, as long as you have hard hitting physical attack mons, they will not pose a threat, or you can use a mon who can wall their attacks, Grimer/Muk for example(even psychic or zen headbutt from Medicham will not do much, which i doubt Kiki has)~
  5. Gulpin and Stunky repeat type, Gulpin has stockpile which i find very useful for tanking attack and acid spray-stockpile is one of my favourite tactics in removing tanky fairy threats in the game while stunky learns flamethrower by lvling up which give you coverage for fire type, so i dont know which tactics you will be going for but either one can be dropped and reserve a spot for other mons~Anyway, many of us rotates more than 6 mons between the gyms, 6 mons just weren't enough for 18 different types~Your Makuhita can check Cradily with secondary rock type(evolve it as it's close to evolving)
  6. Good work, glad you can pull this off, about Tirtouga's abilities, are you building a Rain Dance Rock Team, looking forward to see more of this, sure got interesting with Swift Swim Carracosta~
  7. 5 sudowoodos sound like a nightmare, yeah, better do like monochrome says, duotype run, coupled with the other least number type~I mean even duotype run, sometimes you have to repeat what your regular run has used, so~
  8. Welcome to Reborn, enjoy your stay here~I used my Delphox to flatten Ground type gym, so you're good, fire blast away~
  9. My shinies include Donphan, Girafarig, Noivern, Skiddo, Dunsparce~Shinies in Reborn will not revert to non shinies, that i can assure you~There is a shiny dex somewhere in Reborn forum that they collect images from shiny hunters~My shiny Noivern is in my main team~Spectral is the nickname right?I thought it was some new species of meditite that i dont know of?Found it, here is the thread http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=17202
  10. Yes, the moves that always go first is priority moves, sucker punch(only if your opponent is using an attacking move and not status move), shadow sneak, bullet punch etc are all priority moves(actually priorities have degree, check bulbapedia for each move priority level), which may make up for those who have low speed but good attack~grip claw adds bind to 8 times, beat up will always match your party member number which will not be added by grip claw(beat up max is 6 times, since you can only carry six pokemons at a time)~Houndoom dark moves are aided by blackglasses or dread plates(i dont know if you have those)
  11. You can go to bulbapedia for knowledge regarding nature, Mild nature boosts special attack(which is good for muddy water in your case) while lowers your physical defense.not necessarily bad as ghost type mainly specialize in special attack(except Golurk, Trevenant and Banette), see the stat menu screen on your pokemons, the blue font stat(?) is the one being hindered, while red is the one being increased, otherwise it's neutral(Quirky nature for instance is all neutral)~Judging from your progress, move relearner is temporary out of the question, so bench Kai for now, take it out afterwards when move relearner is available~Make your team up consisting of Houndoom, Mightyena, Zoroark, Wishcash, Pangoro and Banette(priority moves), Pangoro checks Banette while Zoroark with night slash checks Gengar~
  12. For the purpose of defeating Shade(which is what makes you stuck), i suggest keeping the two for the moment until this shenanigans of shade is over~There is a move relearner in Onyx ward(i dont know if at this point the quest that looks for the key to open her house is completed by you, but she is the one who is locked outside her home), mine a heart scale and give it to her for relearning any moves that you missed or learn by lvl one in evolved form~ and field effect manual has some guide about field enhancing certain moves, try to see if there is any move that you can use in your party that could be work in your favors~Fire type Houndoom may help check Trevenant while Aqua Tail hits Rotom with Rotom cannot hit Wishcash with its electric attack(unless it pack HP grass that i forgot of)~Dont worry, its okay, everyone was a beginner at some point~So, what i try to say about field boosted moves are the ones like Night Slash, Dark Pulse increased power by 1.3 in Shade's short circuit field, stop Rotom before it discharge(or better yet, Wishcash switch in as it is immune to electric, will not trigger transformation of the field to factory field, factory field buffs up its electric type attack ) and transform the field~Also, Wishcash's muddy water gets boosted, that's what i read on the manual, so, another moveset is Muddy Water then~
  13. I think soon enough your Whishcash will learn EQ or higher level?Anyhow if that's the case aqua tail and EQ will be your best bet, and i dont know your Whishcash's nature, if its a hindering nature for attack like timid or modest etc, it will not do enough damage for sure, and Kai's role is to set up light screen as a lead(it will protect you for five turns in special defense, with exception of Trevenant, i forgot about exact lineup of shade's team) and then try to switch out to your best physical attack sweeper~Magnitude is an unreliable move plus it doesnt break Shade's field~So i checked, Wishcash learnt EQ by lvl 34 and aqua tail in lvl 28~
  14. Yeah, your Zoruoark will definitely come in handy in this situation, train it in speed and attack, rotom is vulnerable in term of physical defense, not its special~
  15. But....Magnezone T-Wave can't touch a ground type...anyway, i catch your drift~I am most annoyed with Lt Surge switch puzzle, a puzzle that doesnt require any brain power, just random luck, i hate those~
  16. This thread might have answer you needed for EV training http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7866 I use my Delphox for support, will-o'wisp basically make pseudolegendary threats like Garchomp useless, burnt Garchomp's EQ only cut my Delphox HP into half which normally would KO'd Delphox instantly, plus my Delphox is Timid nature so he(yeah my guy Delphox, so proud of him) always outsped~ Every mon that excel in certain stat, say Garchomp for example it is attack, so when you knock out a Garchomp, it gives you 3 attack EVs, the rules apply to all other mons(some mons may give mixed stat EVs, like Chimecho gives 1 special attack and 1 sp defense EV)
  17. You mean EV training, IV is the inherent genetic trait in a pokemon, it cannot be changed in any way, well, you dont necessarily have to EV train if you come up with a good strat, i dont EV train for in-game play, but i do soft reset for IVs and nature~Skuntank is a pretty decent mon esp couple with acid spray~I love spamming acid spray as it is one way to severely drop the opponent's special defense esp HP walls like Wigglytuff(yeah, your old partner XD)~Dont worry about losing common candies in vain 'cause its easily available in later game~Banette is pretty decent physical wallbreaker but many people here seems to disagree on the ground that its horrendous speed and defenses are holding it back, unless you pack it with priority moves(in this case, EV training is vital, which EV spread should focus solely on attack), priority moves being sucker punch, shadow sneak etc~Your mixed set strategy(Wigglytuff thing) is still applicable in Reborn, but preferably with better mons like Camerupt or Arcanine etc, Wigglytuff's role in the team is usually tank and not attacker~ Btw, dont rush into training Noibat as higher level noibat can be found later on~Ultimately, you will enjoy devising your own strats, our tips may be limited for your in game experience~
  18. Welcome to Reborn, hope you enjoy your stay here~
  19. So, i havent seen anyone doing Manectric, can i reserve a spot for Manectric? Thank you~
  20. You mean like a guide of walkthrough? This is the thread you go to http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13417 For further notice, On the Hunt section is where you direct your question regarding item/pokemon directory~Grand Hall is for new members to introduce themselves~ and this thread http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10938 is for questions for your progress if you are lost~
  21. Most of us have more than 6 mons in ready for rotation, best if you can come up with varying types, as of now, as wytch_doctr stated, camerupt is a good mon and Shelly's field can be burnt and used to your advantage and for grinding, there are some trainers that are on the same level as yours at the Hall where you get the starters~Onyx's Stealth Rock is entry hazard, which means when switch in it will hurt the switch-in mons, pretty useful in Shelly's gym, it also factors in the weakness, means that the likes of Masquerain has already got reduced to quarter of its HP before you even move, considering most bugs have 4xweakness to rock, i suggest you lead with stealth rock (is its ability sturdy? It needs to survive on 1 HP taking SE water or grass damage in oder to set up Stealth Rock) Onyx~For further knowledge, status moves are quite handy in handling the OP gym leaders(Toxic Spikes twice may severely poison the switch-ins, Spikes hurts also), other enhancing moves like light screen, reflect or acid armor are extremely helpful in clutches~
  22. TimTim

    Shiny ?

I have seen youtuber Haydunn annihilate things with Muk, so Grimer is definitely worth earning a spot on your team, best ability for it is Poison Touch, Stench is also pretty great, Sticky Hold might be useless in terms of in-game, and slap on black sludge and it is good to go~
  23. Holy Arceus, you swapped light screen ou for scratch in Delphox, you should retain that light screen as many ghost types are hard htting special sweepers, and will-o-wisp for Delphox also to cripple physical threats(Trevenant etc)~Onix should be able to set up Stealth Rock, entry hazards help a lot in battle(Chandelure)~All-out attacks are not necessarily suffice enough in long run esp in Reborn~and your Mightyena has advantage of having swagger, use that against Gengar as it is not physical~and Pangoro's Cut can be replaced with better moves, Reborn's HMs are replaceable~ Minun's Switcheroo might comes in handy to swap out the items that accentuate their attacks~and i noticed you have a Barboach, Whishcash has helped me break many fields, you might wanna train it up for its EQ field breaker ftw~and either Houndoom or Mightyena one has to go, they fulfill the same role in a team with same typing, personally i suggest Mightyena as it has not much dexterity going for it~
  24. Yeah, rounding up the remaining event mons pre Agate is quite time consuming considering factors that influence include weather, NPC chats, puzzles and HM required~This is the location of Skuntank i found, Citrine Mt part that it is seated is past agate, and is accesible via south of Route 2, people might go north, which is Ametrine and they happen to be connected, i hope you dont run the wrong direction when you get there(i hope you dont mind spoiling a little details)
  25. I found it, it is still same location, what's differ from video is that you need surf, waterfall, and strength in order to reach that, and the video completion was in earlier episode when those HMs were still unavailable, thus they use an alternative which was the glitches~You need at least 12 badges in order to do that, which is past T3RR4~Hold it for a sec~ I will try screencap it to guide you to the location~
