    Thick fat is nice but it doesn't quite cover whole lot of Ice type weaknesses, what if there is an ability for ice type akin to Solid Rock in Rock type

      Just make ice pokemon immune to stealth rocks and I will be more than happy, but that will never happens so I think I'm fine if Refrigerate Extremespeed is a thing in Gen 7.

      Maybe fossils being fossils are just primitive mons that never could evolve fast enough to survive whatever killed them. Hence, they are not capable of a natural third stage evolution.
