  1. Good idea, but beware of Archeops's rock type moves...it's very powerful
  2. Agreed about Magnezone, Yureyu Key isn't too difficult to get and from there it's a piece of cake. also flash cannon doesn't miss while mirror shot does btw (it has 85 accuracy if I recall).
  3. Darmanitan is offensively insane, flare blitz can overcome even some resisted field effects and you can probably use it against charlotte in her own gym
  4. How does one become an Ace Member? Been wondering about this since I ran into the Nightclub...
  5. Quick question: When the beta is released, will it be released to anyone, can it be requested, etc.? I've been playing the game since E10 and really looking forward to exploring the new Reborn City.
  6. I'll follow Viridescent's lead here, this one is on Pangoro.
  7. Having played quite a bit on Pokemon Showdown, I've noticed there are certain Pokemon considered underpowered (or even trash) in Competitive that find uses in Reborn. For example: Pangoro: Considered underpowered in Competitive, but is a solid threat in Reborn, with excellent attack and decent enough bulk to take a few hits. Magcargo: Poor in Competitive but very useful in certain situations in Reborn. Takes out five of Noel's Pokemon after setting up Shell Smash twice on Wigglytuff. Sandslash: Another "underpowered" Pokemon that works well in Reborn, with good Attack and STAB (learning Earthquake as early as Level 50), access to a boosting move in Swords Dance, the capability to be used as a HM slave, and great utility for escaping caves with Dig.
  8. That's correct, but hazard damage for some leaders (in the case of Ciel for example) are worth more than one whole Pokemon.
  9. LOL thanks (though I feel you went a bit overboard). I should probably pay attention to previous discussions before posting
  10. I disagree with ditching Forretress, you forget that in addition to setting hazards, it also has Gyro Ball which is an enormously powerful STAB move. Looks good so far. I would suggest Durant, Aggron, Bronzong, Escavalier
  11. The movesets look pretty good. As for Scrafty, personally I would recommend the Dragon Dance set with High Jump Kick rather than the Drain Punch/Bulk Up set, only because sweepers tend to work better in Reborn. Also, Scrafty has enough bulk as is to take a few hits while Dragon Dance stacking. Gardevoir looks good as is, Synchronize is better than Telepathy if you ask me, because Telepathy is only useful in double battles whereas Synchronize works in singles and doubles. For Charizard, I would recommend Dragon Claw over Fly, because it simply does more damage. Also when megas actually come out, Mega Charizard X with Dragon Claw is a lot to deal with. For Magnezone, I would say Thunderbolt instead of Discharge, possibly also Magnet Rise in place of one of the moves (HP Ice/Barrier or Thunder Wave) to avoid Ground types. For Gogoat, Horn Leech over Leaf Blade anyday, there's only a 15 difference in power and Horn Leech heals you. Along with Bulk Up it would work nicely. I would prefer Rock Slide to Brick Break because fire types tend to be more common in Reborn than ice types. For Dragalge, Sludge Wave is better than Sludge Bomb, due to the power being 5 higher, same accuracy, and not much lower poison chance. Also, Scald is better than Surf, as it only has 10 lower power than Surf and the fabulous 30% burn chance which can patch up Dragalge's low defense.
  12. That's why I owned his gym with a Fire/Rock type...field effect boosts from fire + rock-type resistances to his normal type moves are monstrous
  13. Agreed. I've used Meowstic-F several times against Aya and it has wrecked her every time while also tanking some hits
  14. That's a good set,but personally I prefer coil, gunk shot, aqua tail, sucker punch with shed skin
  15. IDK i had a bit of trouble with samson at the same levels that you wrecked him. I did have to grind
  16. I've always been a bronzong fan in reborn, it's really tanky, has a good typing, and also has good offensive capabilities. I love to spam swagger (which isn't on this list), take a hit, and watch the enemy's pokemon KO themselves from their confusion!
  17. Typhlosion. Eruption has gotten me through most of the gyms after my Typhlosion learned it. Also my Emolga is HAX GOD. I beat the PULSE Swalot by using Nuzzle, getting three full para's in a row, and spamming Electro Ball.
  18. No doubt E9 Noel is a monster...I've only been playing since E13, but he's been the easiest for me ever since I started 1. any really set-up pokemon will end his swellow 2. He had Wigglytuff since E14
  19. Noel is way too easy. His Wigglytuff spammed Dazzling Gleam on my Magcargo, which did next to nothing. By that time, I had two Shell Smashes up and 6-0ed his team with the field effects.
  20. Same as what I did...it's hilarious really
  21. Yeah cottonee was grotle...too bad, because (as far as I remember from e15) the turtwig line is only obtainable from starter and you can find cottonee outside of calcenon city. Liking it so far. Keep up the good work!
  22. 1. Yep, ik...just putting down the earliest ground type i could think of 2. I must not have spent enough time down there this time. Thx for the info
