  1. WELCOME! ...and I really don't have much more to say than that. Got to this thread kinda late. ENJOY YOUR STAY AND GOOD LUCK!
  2. I know there's one link stone by the abandoned Yureyu building, but other than that I'm not sure. Ability capsules you can buy (as mentioned above) at 7th Street, though I know of at least two earlier, one at the power plant and one under the Grand Stairway.
  3. Sweet, thanks for the heads up. *goes to write that down somewhere*
  4. Blaziken OP. I think I abused my Ampharos' tankiness, my Scrafty's HJK, and my Infernape's speed to take my most recent one down. Congrats, though!
  5. I mean, that definitely works. Which pokemon do you use for Bonding?
  6. I think that, as usual, this is part of a complex issue affecting the safety of civilians and police both. There are some things there that I'm not sure are really going to endanger those on the police force, especially requiring officers to state who they are at every incident. I'm also seeing an attempt to reduce fiascos like those over the last few years where police step well beyond boundaries that they should have respected, though how successful this will be is unknown. More than likely after the hullabaloo quiets down though, there won't be much of a change, for the nation or the city.
  7. This. Other than that, I've generally kept most pokemon around that weren't trained for a specific purpose, like the Klingklang I trained up to take down Serra, and rotated them in when one of my pokemon was getting owned by type disadvantages..
  8. I'd assume Perish song would be ridiculously effective on single pokemon opponents, especially with something like Prankster Murkrow. Don't even need to use a focus sash, just cheese hard.
  9. WELCOME! Glad to hear that you worked out a ground mono-run, I'm looking at doing a dark one soon in the near future sometime when I get to it or maybe a flying type run OH HUSH ALREADY. If you're looking for interesting ideas for challenge runs, the Team Showcase section may be a wonderful place to visit though I think you've already been there and share stories of how bad various gyms were for your run. Best of luck for your future runs!
  10. Community Rules to your left. Search bar above Community Rules. Showdown link above Search Bar. Required courtesies complete. Compiling social protocols... WELCOME! If you're following that guide, you should probably know that it's somewhat out of date. The early part is good, but once you get past about the second or third gym, the guide still hasn't been updated for Ep15. It also doesn't make it much past the fifth badge you get, which kinda sucks, but you'll get used to searching things out on your own. I'd also recommend not reading ahead in the story, as you get certain events spoiled for you like the fact that Mareep exists in the game jk that's not really a story event more like the whole PULSE Tangrowth thing and stuff. I also thought that you could pick Female/Non-binary on creation of your forum account, though as a cis male, I didn't exactly pay much attention to that part. But best of luck, hope you enjoy yourself!
  11. WELCOME! You'll find the community rules to your left, the search bar above that, and the Showdown link above that and probably your browser back button above that click it click it while you still can. And as someone who has yet to do a mono run, I've beaten Garchomp once (Sawk Sturdy Counter + Swalot Toxic + Max Revive + Counter again OP) and Ditto both times I've fought against it. Best of luck for your future runs!
  12. Sweet, I guess I barely fit into the Ep14 bracket even though I never finished a playthrough in Ep14. So that's kinda cool.
  13. I've never supported El, so I'm not sure what happens there, but if you support Radamus, you get to have a pretty cool, if tough fight.
  14. As someone who actually tried cheesing the Solaris fight with Sturdy Counter Sawk, you aren't able to delete Garchomp from existence with Counter because you simply don't have enough health. You need to wear down Garchomp with a Toxic or other method, then Sawk can come in and deal between 2/3 and 3/4 (depending on level) of Garchomp's health with a single hit. IMO it's not so broken that it needs to be removed. Anyone else's experience differ?
  15. I've just gone to ignoring the illusion thing and having it be whatever pokemon is last and accepting that the AI is going to treat it as a Zoroark regardless of what I do. It's made me a lot happier. In AS at least, I could trick the AI (most days) into believing Zoroark was the 'mon it looked like (which is why I tried it here), but in Reborn I'm simply having to relegate it as a fast, hard hitting dark type sweeper. Oh, darn.
  16. Only in clear weather, though. Later on, you can buy pokesnax from other merchants in other weather.
  17. You can catch a Skrelp via fishing with the good rod either on the island (where you go after the academy) or the coral ward.
  18. Yes, it's I'm pretty sure we'll be seeing his Crobat within the next few episodes when we head out into the desert.
  19. Just to add to your data (I don't think there is a connection), I chose a Chimchar and got a Vullaby.
  20. Currently the Skuntank, Nidorina, and Croagunk are available. The others have yet to be found. Thus far, yes, they are easily obtainable as long as you have the ring.
  21. WELCOME! Since we haven't gotten a visit from anyone who knows better yet, Community Rules to the left, search bar above that, Showdown link above that. You'll also find a diverse group of folks who are happy to answer any questions you have and increase their post counts and have friendly conversations with. And glad you finally made an account. Welcome again. Trying so hard... to deny... Then I look above and see that you beat me to everything anyway...
  22. Well that's a pity. Ah well, at least I'll have a speedy dark type once I get this thing to evolve. *continues bludgeoning pokemon to death with it*
  23. Hey, in my newest run I picked up an event Zorua and have been playing with it as a memeber of my team. My only issue is that the AI seems to see right though Illusion and curb stomp my Zorua/Zoroark with a fighting when the normal response to the pokemon I'm "sending out" would be a psychic type one. Is anyone else having this issue? Is the AI just not equipped to deal with Illusion at all? Edit: For clarification, I know these pokemon have psychic type moves, they usually wipe out the pokemon before Zorua using them (my team has a weakness to Psychic, which is why I want to train Zorua up), but instead of taking out what appears to be a Swalot with that psychic type move, they proceed to wallop it with bug or fighting or poison, all of which are NVE against Swalot but SE or Neutral against Zorua.
  24. What're ya looking for? Cute, funny, awesome, a gif like you've got, static image?
  25. As someone who quite recently did a run with a Contrary Serperior, I'd recommend starting with Overgrow for the ability to take stat boosts, then switching over to Contrary at level 62, when Serperior learns Leaf Storm (or level 43 if you keep it a Snivy for that long/52 if you keep it a Servine, which may not be bad ideas, though you'll need to rely on pokemon other than your starter through about Serra/Noel). You'll need something to deal with Ice, Fire, and Flying, all types that I struggled with throughout the playthrough. Multiple rock types may be an excellent idea. A fire type may also be a good idea to pick up early, as Grass and Fire are quite complementary. Best of luck!
