  1. WELCOME! Community Rules on the left, search bar also on the left though a little above the Community rules and probably your avatar and account and stuff and then right above that is the Showdown link and right above that is how you get back to the main menu and run, run while you still can. But best of luck and enjoy your time on the forum!
  2. None of those are egg moves and since it didn't change for you, it's pretty certain that everyone else is going to get the same move set.
  3. Might be a particular weather. Have you tried going out there when it's windy/sunny/thunderstorming/clear/rainy/snowing? Edit: Or according to the location guide it's just hiding on a rooftop. Let me see if I can't find a video. Double edit: Try windy weather on the Onyx ward rooftop, go inside and back out until you see Pichu's ears poking out behind the left tree. If that's not it, then Ame's changed it within the last year and I can't help you.
  4. I never really saw the point of that. The last few bits are fiddly and annoying enough to find if you don't know where that simply exploring and hinting just leads to more frustration. Thus, with this particular quest at least, I've stopped hinting and decided to be as helpful as possible. Also, if the reward were less than it is, I'd also probably be less helpful.
  5. Dark type, team incoming via means other than trainer card when I get around to finishing movesets for them, as I rather like the team I have there over any mono team I might make. As a side note, can Kingdra even learn Flamethrower? Edit: Team here via Showdown copy/paste dump Not a great team IMO, but a decent one with some checks to Dark's traditional weaknesses.
  6. Yes, there's a point. To provide an event so that getting a Vanillite isn't just an easy one-touch win event. Perhaps the kid's mother told him not to accept money from strangers, though ice cream is okay. But meh. It isn't a fantastically well though out event anyway. The vending machine is one-at-a-time, by the way.
  7. WELCOME! And happy to see a fellow disciple of M3GG4 T3RR4WR, our lord and savior from all that is Ciel Seel. Also, Cain's innuendo partner. Was really intrigued by But hope you have a great time here, best of luck!
  8. WELCOME! Community rules on the bar to the left, search bar above that, Showdown link above that (JOIN US). This also isn't exactly an old game, but more of a work in progress, as the most recent episode is less than a month old, with a new one coming in about two to three more months. But glad to have you, looking forward to seeing more of you around the forums, and best of luck with your first time through the game!
  9. It would be a little difficult to make it through with just mono dark types and mono ghosts, or even worse, running it with just a Spiritomb or Sableye. Duo runs (as OmegaRa1der noted) would follow the same rules as running two mono runs at the same time would, though if a pokemon existed that had both types within Reborn, they'd likely become a permanent member of my team (so a dark/ghost run would try hard to get a Spiritomb/Sableye and make it work).
  10. I saw that you enjoyed the music from AoT, so figured that you'd probably like something by the same composer. Krone's one of my favorites that he's done besides AoT. @Flux
  11. I'll take a theme if anyone's up for throwing one at me. I'll also have to go searching through my library to start contributing, though I don't know peeps real well yet and my stuff tends to be slower and a lot "quieter" than a lot of the music I've heard so far in this thread.
  12. Try looking in the daytime while it's not windy out in all the alleyways, look for the Zangoose, a Litleo, and a Teddiursa. You haven't lost your chance, just keep looking. There's a video link above that should help you if you get stuck.
  13. I think a BST run would be interesting, but I'm also leery of having to sit on less-than-final evolution pokemon, especially with starters. It's the same issue I have with a no-evolution run, where I'd have to mash X every time one of my pokemon leveled up once I reached a certain point in the game. Story wise, I'd also have trouble justifying a character sticking to a particular BST. It's workable, but just not quite the same as a story from a duo type trainer or a breeder sticking to the pokemon they know. Once again, I'll add it to the list anyway, though. Edit: To get into more detail, if I set the BST too low, I'd be aggravated that I can't level up several of my pokemon (including my starter). If I set it too high, then there's no real challenge. I'll jot that vote down somewhere. I'll likely be doing a poll once I narrow down the choices (after this expansion), so I'll try to remember that in case you don't come back to vote then.
  14. If you're looking for a particular TM and wondering if it's still in the game, try checking this thread. It's pretty up to date (through Ep13 at least), and really helps when checking out which TMs are currently in the game.
  15. I don't think the TM for Roost (TM19) is in the game currently. There IS a cave in Aventurine woods, which contains TM56 (Fling), and previously contained Roost, but no TM for Roost right now.
  16. WELCOME! If you're looking hard for a specific 'mon, look no further than this thread. I can tell you for sure that Tynamo is available before the first gym, that Shuppet is available before the third, and that you're going to have a great time. Some advice for gameplay: try to use as much strategy as you can in your play whenever you're battling. Gyms are REALLY difficult otherwise. Sometimes you'll even find yourself training up a 'mon specifically to take on a certain gym. Wander EVERYWHERE, you'll never know what you'll find. Spamming Z on every rock that sticks out won't hurt either, as you'll pick up tons of shards, useful items like Ability Capsules, the occasional evolutionary stone, and other wonderful items. This is also the best way to encounter certain pokemon, as they might be hidden in back alleyways and running around the city. But best of luck and have fun with your run!
  17. Both duo runs are very doable, as water has plenty of 'mons early on to make up for Rock's lack. The Chromatic Run is really interesting to me though, and it's one that I don't think would be especially hard, but would still lead to some challenging situations. Maybe if I combined it with a gender or color restriction or something else along those lines. THIS is definitely interesting. Looking through the groups, I think I'd have to pick carefully if I want to have a team of 6 before Aya or so without going for one of the Field Group, which might not feel that challenging
  18. Grass/Fairy doesn't really interest me thematically, plus I'd rather not do the same thing another member of the forum is doing. But I'll add it to the list anyway. Also not sure if I could survive without the Klefki...
  19. Hey all, been looking at starting up another run of Reborn. Since I've never done a run with mono or duo type before, I was looking for some fun suggestions from forumgoers as well as some extra possibilities beyond what I've seen (which is mostly monotypes). I'd also like to type this one out as a story on the forums, with a character set up from the beginning to write a story for and show off the wonderful plot of Reborn and all that jazz. Honorable Mentions: Limited BST run [Vinny] Chromatic run (No 2 pokemon of the same type) [Drymus] Duo Fire/Psychic (Patience and Fury) [Drymus] Duo Rock/Water (Helix) [Drymus] Duo Grass/Fairy (Elves) [OmegaRa1der] Duo Fairy/Ghost or Dark run (Dream) If y'all have any other suggestions (or other rules) for the run or votes for which run you'd like to see, please post below and let me know. Same with any suggestions as to the character for the story. I'll keep this list updated as new ideas come up to keep things organized. Edit: I'll have to try doing a poll once we've got a bunch of ideas out and narrowed back down and get a vote going for what you guys would like to see. Character traits will likely be based off the kind of run (whimsical and odd for Dream, superior for Legends, caring breeder for egg group, etc.), though feel free to make any suggestions. Double Edit: Poll's up, feel free to vote. I narrowed it down through runs I didn't feel like I was going to be able to write for and ended up with the seven options at the top (apologies to those whose ideas ended up on the Honorable Mentions list). You can vote for as many of the options as you'd like.
  20. It depends on your team (having a pokemon like a Tyrantum makes Charlotte much easier), but I'd recommend getting your pokemon up a few levels, as Charlotte DOES NOT MESS AROUND. Field boosted STAB Eruptions hurt like heck from that Typhlosion. You can train either out in Route 4, Route 3, or (if you go back to the circus, which you'll probably need to to get Dive eventually) there's a clown that gives you a shard for defeating his semi-random 3 pokemon team, which means you get trainer bonus. But go ahead and try her first, see what happens, you might end up rolling through her with no issues at all.
  21. I've never actually done a Reborn run with a Blaziken, but my Iron Fist Infernape was nice, mostly due to fire typing that I've never done a playthrough with either. Felt REALLY good to just blatantly sweep through Florinia without even worrying. However, now that I'm nearing the late game, Infernape is turning out far more underwhelming than my Contrary Serperior from a previous run. It's really cool to have priority and fewer weaknesses to fire/ice, but it hasn't really shined the way Serperior did once it learned Leaf Storm.
  22. Since somehow nobody else has covered it, Community Rules to the left, search bar above that, Showdown link above that, and going back to the Community Rules, you'll find the Messenger and Notification links below that as well as many, many useful links for Reborn itself but it's mostly the community rules that matter. There's also cheesecake, which I share upon request as long as SHIA doesn't notice. But best of luck and enjoy the insane odd eccentric fun community!
  23. WELCOME! You'll find the community rules on your left, the search bar above that, and the Showdown link above that. Oh, and SHIA's cake over there, but touching that might cost you more than you'd think. So I wish you the best of luck and an enjoyable stay!
  24. I'd like to know this as well. I mean, I'm guessing that we'll get to go back eventually as we chase T3RR4 down once more and it'll likely become a permanent place at that point (was a little surprised it wasn't like that this time), but that's just speculation. I really have no idea what might happen with it.
