  1. We don't want to make things too easy, do we? Tentacruel would be everyone's go-to fat poison type. As Chubb said, it has great bulk, respectable offenses and great speed for a defensive Pokemon, with such good level-up moves that it's just too good for this bit of the game. We should be glad that we at least have the powerhouse known as adaptability Dragalge available relatively soon. If youre looking for a logical explanation, perhaps we can say that tentacool are found only underwater, even in the polluted lake, and we don't have Dive yet to go and find them.
  2. That's what I meant when I said 'if you didn't hop on the bus early enough to get CM from Radomus.' Earlier episodes gave a few better TMs. Now we have to await Shadow Ball and Calm Mind, and Grass Knot was also delayed.
  3. Cosmic Power is actually abad idea on clefable, even if it is Unaware. Magic Guard Calm Mind js the best, but if you didn't hop on the bus early enough to get CM from Radomus, you'll do better with Flamethrower, really. Or even Charge Beam. Tank Fable with a life orb or pixie plate and Moonlight is quite good. I'd recommend breeding it and EV training it based on the smogon starts BC clef is really very marginally bulky, I.e., depends very much on those EVs for a 2hko to be a 3hko.
  4. Tfw exams are done only to be faced with more exams in the near future...
  5. Damn right you are! I'm overjoyed at my momentary relief from college exams before I immediately succumb to the weight of my consternation for the impending CA exams! Dhan?
  6. Ha! College exams are done! Now to worry about the impending doom of my accountancy and tax/law exams in May...yay....

good luck with exams, numbers are strangers to me

  7. Insomniac Viri' strikes again...ha, haha... God, I hate writing reports so much. Juu?
  8. Well... that'll be ideal if the funeral was a cremation and not a burial...
  9. I have no idea what I have walked in on. Apparently Zumi is to work, so she shouldn't be seen? Ironic, since I also should be at work, and...WAIT STOP YOU CAN'T PUSH ME OUT!

yes we can *push viri out*

  10. Actually, I just dumped my turtwig in the box because it's quite inferior to Mamoswine and Rhypeior as a Ground type, and easily worse than Chesnaught and Tangrowth as a Grass type with bulk, plus gets out damaged by Roserade in every way. The last one is still kinda bad, BC SpDef is literally 1. IMO I'd breed it with something with a good SpDef IV until you get something worthwhile. Superpower is a waste, dearie, because it offers the same coverage as Earthquake, which gets STAB and is a lot stronger without the stat drops. Also, Torterra SpAtk is garbage, even had you had good SpAtk IVs (which as usual you don't) so go full physical with the eventual EQ/Wood Hammer/Some Rock Move/Synthesis. You should have some Rock TM, right? Or at least you'll get Rock Tomb soon enough if you progress vwith the story. And he's, glad you went through Charlotte and the rest of the stuff easily enough. Yes, I am aware of the ring plot, I hope you acted honourably and didn't give it to him instead of being greedy for Waterfall, which you get anyway afterwards (and if you did give him the ring, you're screwed over a lot of plot and an eventual Shiny Charm. Yeah.) Keep it going with yer drooling, crippled mutts. You're in for some drastic shit.
  11. Yeah, they're keeping it holes up very frustratingly. We know next to nothing nothing about these games other than the names. Let's hope it shows some promise in the next few days. Until then, let's try and theorize about the new professor and their name. I call Professor Mango.
  12. Wao, DW hit one of the nails on the head...or into the coffin? Anyways, there's gonna be a Magnezone Room for sure now.
  13. If a cough drops in a pharmacy, and there is no one to hear it fall, does is still accrue a prescription?

  14. Oh, I forgot to write my reviews! BISHARP (and Pawniard): Availability: 9 badges OR potential 1/18 chance to hatch from the Mystery Egg Movepool: Fantastic (with breeding), Good (without breeding) Comments: Bisharp is an excellent Pokémon. Very powerful, good defense, unfortunately subpar special bulk and speed, but this can be mitigated easily due to its access to one of the strongest Sucker Punches in the game. It needs to be bred with a Croagunk or Hitmon-something for it to obtain it, though. Unfortunately, it also can't yet have access to Knock Off. However, it more than makes up for these inconveniences by learning Swords Dance and Iron Head naturally, and can also be taught Brick Break once you obtain the TM from Samson for a perfectly fine moveset. I'd say it ought to be in the B tier, because even though it is naturally available late, and needs breeding for a good Dark move, it is simply that strong. POWREFLU SATRAOTIR (and Starly): Availability: 9 badges Movepool: Fantastic Comments: There's a reason it's POWERFUL STARAPTOR. Starly is hands down the best burd you can get in this game as of now, and that's probably why it is available only that late. It boasts of a good speed and great attack, especially with Reckless as an ability which can boost the power of Brave Bird (which it learns naturally) even further. It even gets Close Combat naturally! A bird! With fists! CAW CAW! It unfortunately doesn't get a good Normal STAB stronger than Take Down (which is also boosted by Reckless) butvit can be bred with Togepi to give it Double Edge, which is as strong as Brave Bird. Three moves are all you need on it to savage the foe, but the fourth slot can well have Quick Attack to finish off a weak opponent. Be warned that Staraptor has rather terrible bulk, but it's going to be too busy murderizing everything to notice. It deserves B+, simply because it is so easy to use, even if it is late.
  15. Hello, and welcome to Reborn, Nin. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here. You must already know your way around, but no harm in looking at the Rules and dropping in the Showdown Server for a few chats.
  16. Indeed, but for now Gulpin and Swalot outclass Whismur and Loudred. Eventually, though, Swot is easily beaten by better bulky Poison types like Nidoqueen and Dragalge.
  17. Use Gulpin. Why? Here are some reasons: 1. Whismur is very, very weak until it becomes Exploud, which isn't until level 40. It has very poor stats and can't take a hit at all with those 23/23 defenses. 2. Whismur has a horrible movepool, unless you have TMs. Which this game won't give you until far, far later. It also learns no useful moves before exceeding the level cap. Your best moves would be Echoed Voice and...Pound. 3. The only perk Whismur has is that it evolves at level 20 into loudred. But even then it's bulk is only slightly better than Gulpin's, and it still learns no moves at all. Its best move is only Hyper Voice; Boomburst is learned only by Exploud. By then, you're better off using Noivern as your Boomburster, since it is fast, has a bunch of high powered moves to abuse, and is a friggin DRAGON. 4. Gulpin has good bulk, evolves by level 26, and has a bunch of useful moves it can use even after Julia. Acid Spray is a good move because it continually lowers the foes' SpDef harshly, making your consecutive Acid Sprays stronger. It can also use Yawn to put things to sleep or cause switches, Poison Gas to act Poison things, Stockpile to boost both defenses, Amnesia to raise its SpDef, and Encore to force things into one move. It's also going to learn good moves like Sludge Bomb and Gunk Shot eventually. Also, by the way, Trubbish might be better even than Gulpin. It has slightly less overall bulk, and evolves later, but it gets Toxic Spikes which is huuuge.
  18. I agree there, especially also with regard to some other Pokémon like Entei and Empoleon. Here's to hoping, eh?
  19. Starting from May/June, yes, if anyone would care to oblige me with requests.
  20. Hello and welcome to Reborn, Hank. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here. Like berries? Good. Spent a lot of time breeding and raising perfect mons in Reborn? Excellent, that's two of us. No soul? Perfect, you'll fit just right in. Give the Community Rules on the left a good read, and do drop in on the Showdown Server for a few chats.
  21. And TIL that Metagross derives the 'Gross' in its name not necessarily from its grotesque appearance, but from the number 'one gross', or 144, which is 12×12. Metagross's weight is 1212.5 lbs. That's 1212 1/2. All the dozens. Mega Metagross, at 2078.7 lbs, is also the second heaviest of all Pokémon, after Primal Groudon. That's... Almost 50% heavier than Dialga and 2.5 times as heavy as Mega Aggron. Metagross, you're too damn massive!
  22. Well, they have had three years since XY-level graphics. And they aren't exactly short of staff, if what I am led to believe is true. Of course, it may be too much to expect complete remodelling of every Pokémon to match Pokken's, but at least of moves? I, for one, would like to at least see Blastoise shoot out Hydro Pump from its goddamn Cannons, instead of just belching it out from its mouth. Even Mega Blastoise's Hydro Pump animation just involves it bending and shooting a jet of water from its mouth, and not using the three massive Cannons on its body at all.
  23. Who, or what, is K8? I have no idea what you are referencing, Flaming Weenie. That signature is a personal motto. A rather rare display of my personal beliefs, yes, but seeing it all the time is a good reminder. And I may be arrogant enough to hope that others who see it also remember to look forward and not always back. Anyway, now that I have replied to you, you may do me the honour of flaring up again. Oh, now I'm never gonna stop making Fire puns around you.
  24. I know I will choose Sun, because I associate more on a spiritual level with the Sun. This went philosophical. Never mind. Let's talk about the potential new game graphics! Shall we see beautifuller animations of moves, comparable to Pokken's?
