  1. That's very kind of you! I have some exams and other SRS BSNS to deal with as of now, but I shall be back in full swing by late May. I plant to do a couple of revamps of this thread as well to make it more comprehensive, but that's for later~ As of now, I'm probably not going to be doing any drawing unless it's for my relaxation; I certainly can't go to the level of exerting myself on another project now.
  2. Well, at any rate we know there will most certainly be 10 new Pokémon... I think it's about time they show us the region, at the very least. Maybe also the player characters and stuff.
  3. More like I have been showing you a random collection of work ranging from really old and/or lazy doodles to something where I put in at least a half-hearted effort to things which actually interest me to devote more time (which is rather a rare commodity right now tbh.) So not to be immodest, but I haven't really displayed any serious art here...yet. However, I am most glad by your compliment, and thanks for viewing!
  4. If Adrienn has xyr way, Peridot's tiny patch of grass is not gonna be so tiny anymore. So it's likely that lady is still there to give you the budew-bait in my opinion.
  5. Question away all you like, lol. I think the reason you feel that iffiness about Weavile's tail is because...well, Weavile doesy really have a tail. It's more like a couple of stiff quills that stick out from its butt. Look at weavile's backsprite; its tail is literally just two feathery quills that stand up and outwards at an angle. Had it been an actual mammalian tail, yes, it would look like it stems from its lower spine, not its butt. But since it is to be likened more to a bird's tail feathers, I think it can be imagined to stick up straight from its rump. As for the eye patch, Idk. I couldn't get the other eye satisfactorily expressed, so I used the old artist's trick: amputation and crippling, lol. Besides, the blindness in one eye makes Zangoose look kinda more badass in my opinion, and it's a common enough disability in mongooses (mongeese?) who have lived rather too many fights. I don't know for sure about the eye patch dynamics though, having never even seen a real one, much less worn one. Glad you approve at least 80% this time though. XD And the fur static is because they've been snuggling!
  6. No, I won't. And practicals, huh? Funny, mine are on Monday... If you're wondering whether Accounts and Economics practicals exist, they don't. But I do have a stupid computer-stats-database-management subject which does. I loathe this kind of stuff, tbh. Dhan?
  7. Because Magnezone makes everything better, without any doubt TRHS?
  8. Viri is here right now. But Dhan won't be...
  9. It's-a-me! MARIOGNEZONE! *bzzzt bzzzt* Ame?
  10. You know what. It's already a great boon that HMs in Reborn are treated like TMs and that you don't need to go all the way to some old man to have them erased. Thank Ame for that. Also, from a logical perspective, it may be fine to carry a flashlight, but even with the hammer space bag, carrying a Glider and a friggin Waterfall-climbing-boat is too much, don't you think? Besides, having the player run around with hammers, pickaxes and hatchets isn't quite the done thing. Granted, there is a sword Pokémon and Reborn is kinda a dystopia, but that will have to draw a firm nolle prosequi. Which brings us back to the premise: use Pokémon to do things for you. The idea of Illuminate being an auto-flash is a good one, and so is using Brick Break instead of rock smash and Superpower instead of strength etc etc, but they have a slim chance of happening because of the extra work that would entail. Besides,as Michael said, Reborn is mature in terms of plot, yes, but it sticks to the core game mechanics in almost all respects. So, in short: Noli equi dentes inspicere donati, and all that good stuff.
  11. Happy birthday, Shadow Tack! Wishing you a great year ahead!
  12. Hello, and welcome to Reborn, Dante. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here. Do drop in for a few chats on the Showdown Server.
  13. Finally, it's over. Sheesh. What a pane. It reflects badly on all of us.

  14. The fault is mine. I made an observation about the glass of optimism and pessimism, and it has now devolved into little more than a cracked excuse to make a bunch of glass puns. It's very shallow and transparent.

    1. Shamitako

      Shamitako

Holy. I almost didn't catch that. Well played

    2. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

      Viri... pun expert.

    3. Ojama Yellow

      Ojama Yellow

viri god fucking damn it at least leave the statuses alone >:[

  15. I need my glasses checked. This can't still be happening.

  16. I did not anticipate one simple thing spiralling into a whole chain of statuses with enough glasses in them to stock a crockery store.

  17. The glass is neither half full nor half empty; it is merely too big for the water it holds, and thus reflects an inefficient utilization of resources deployed to contain the given water. An analyst is neither optimistic nor pessimistic.

    1. Chevaleresse

Meanwhile, the physicist in this situation just ducks.

Probably. Since the glass is always full of some sort of fluid, unless I had mentioned specifically that it was situated in a vacuum. As a metaphor, the air or whatever fluid that isn't water can be considered unnecessary or immaterial.

  18. How can there be any discussion about Magnezone without me? All right, for Reborn purposes, wherein you do not have access to most TMs and unless you are me, who spends time hatching hundreds of eggs to get HP fire and perfect IVs on his genderless pokes, the best moves your Magnezone can have are Discharge (learns naturally), Flash Cannon (also learns Naturally), Charge Beam (TM from Julia, good for boosting SpAtk) and the last move can be your choice of Thunder Wave, Magnet Rise, Hidden Power (If by chance it is Fire, Ice or Grass) and TriAttack. The best spread for your Magnezone would to max out SpAtk and put in 128 HP and 128 Speed. But this isn't competitive, so maxing out HP might just be more worthwhile. I'd change the nature from Quiet to Modest also. You need every point of speed you can get, and Magnezone isn't using its attack stat for anything.
  19. Happy birthday, Notus. I haven't had the chance to meet you as yet, but I'm always down for wishing people on their birthdays. Have a great year ahead!
  20. I spoke of Mega Magnezone earlier. I cannot speak of any other without first mentioning that divinity. Now that I have paid homage to the one true Magnet God, I may now proceed to theorize about other, lesser Megas. For instance: MEGA ROSERADE Type: Grass/Poison (unchanged) Ability: Prankster HP: 60 Atk: 70 Def: 85 (+20) SpAtk: 155 (+30) SpDef: 135 (+30) Speed: 110 (+20) Roserade is one of those Gen4 last-stage evolutions, like Yanmega, Togekiss and MAGNEZONE that deserves a Mega to remain relevant in a changing metagame. Roserade's primary role as of now in UU is to act as a Spikes/TSpikes lead with access to Sleep Powder and a good defensive typing that lets it take on water and fighting types, or as a Powerful special attacker with excellent moves like Leaf Storm, Giga Drain, Sludge Bomb, Extrasensory, Shadow Ball, Dazzling Gleam and a choice of Hidden Power to use alongside status or hazards. It has a good base 125 SpAtk stat and decent 105 SpDef stat along with Synthesis and Natural Cure Rest to use with this, but is let down by poor physical bulk and rather average speed. Mega Roserade reclaims its DPPt position with relative stat modifications. An increased Special Attack and Special Defense bolster its good points to current levels of power, and a significant boost to its pitiful Defense stat lets it take at least the few odd hits. A good speed boost puts on par with other powerful offensive mons like the Lati twins, Gengar, M-Metagross, M-Gallade (and M-Magnezone.) So far, Mega Roserade is like Mega Scizor: an updation of an existing model with changes in degree not in kind. The real change is in giving it Prankster, to let it play shenanigans with its great support movepool. If you thought Whimsicott was bad, this is version 2.0 with good bulk and great power! Prankster Hazards and Substitute! Prankster Sleep and Paralysis and Poison! Prankster Recovery with Synthesis and Leech Seed! It can even use Prankster Sunny Day and act as a Sun starter whilst grabbing itself a pseudo-STAB in Weather Ball. The creativity is endless. However, it isn't broken by any means. It is still checked by many common Steel and Fire types if it can't sleep them or if it hasn't got HP fire/ground, and it is still Revenge killed easily enough. The 110 speed tier is also crowded enough to prevent it from being too easy to use.
  21. Must've been from the same place all the team Meteor members and cultists spawned from: the Evil Group Academy that is situated in Mordor, or rather, Ame's basement.
  22. To settle this, here is a quote from Bulbapedia, sourced from Google: "From Pokémon Emerald onward, Magma Armor halves the number of cycles it takes for all Pokémon Eggs in the party to hatch. This effect does not stack with itself or Flame Body; however, it can be stacked with Hatching Power" There you go.
  23. Well, that is always upto you. It is true indeed that Mega Pokémon with Sheer Force are comparable with a Life Orb boost, and the original spread that you gave does indeed give it a goodly amount of power. (It is actually weaker than Mega Camerupt and LO regular Nidoking by a slight margin, as you have proven and as I have tested) I think your concept is fine there. I wouldn't improve its attack or special attack beyond base 125 though, and its speed is just fine at 95, making it comparable in power to a Kyurem-B with much greater coverage and priority at the cost of bulk, recovery and lesser physical power (which is still remedied by Sheer Force STAB Pjab and coverage moves that Kyu-B would kill to get) If you do stick with SF instead of Tough Claws or Intimidate, I just hope that the extra 10 points do not go into offenses and instead go to physical bulk, which makes for a much more balanced and well rounded threatening wallbreaker. Just no Huge Power or Adaptability or anything borked, okay? All the best.
