Chronicles of the Onyx Arcade Mafia Chapter Three [Day] "So, you found the traitor?" Divergent asked one of his most trusted men in the office. It was late at night, a time where everyone was asleep and he was sure that their conversation would not be eavesdropped. He sat in front of the informant, ready to hear his information. "Yes. When I examined the files, I found something that was contradictory." The man replied as he passed a file to Divergent. "Examine it closely." Divergent took the file and checked it closely. He spent a good deal of time reading its contents. "I don't find anything contradictory at all." "Well...." The man uttered. "That's because the traitor is ME!" He smirked as he brought his knife down, ready to stab the Leader of the Keepers. Obviously, Divergent was not one to fall down just like that. He took to moving backwards and avoiding the knife. "I see. That confirms my suspicion." He disarmed the man with a kick and aimed to shoot the traitor... until, someone stabbed him in the back. He fell down almost immediately, clearly surprised about the attack. "Clearly, I would have failed this if I was alone. Good thing there was another traitor to help me. Happy death!" "Traitor! How could you betray us? How could you betray me?" Divergent asked, his breath starting to slow down. "Because winning's more fun?" He answered. "Well, Valiant had better offers ~ sorry for that." **** The Keepers were surprised when a surprise meeting was announced. They were even more surprised when they saw that it was Anti_Hero who was standing in the podium. "I come to you with devastating news. Divergent has been killed by the traitor who has slipped amongst us. There has been proof that the one responsible for it are members of Valiant. We do not know yet who these traitors are, but I have been entrusted with inheriting his vision and mission. I will take the position of President and I will carry on his intention of pursuing both Valiant and Lumina, and obtaining justice for what has happened these past few months." At this, the Keepers had been greatly saddened and they took to mourning for the death of their President. Their hearts had been full of sorrow and their minds in confusion, but they were determined that they will take on his will and succeed for the sake of the organization. ***** "It would appear that she's back in town." One of the Keepers muttered. He looked at the body of Jace Stormkirk, who had been shot the same night Divergent died. "She's taken her own sense of justice... again. Chronicles of the Onyx Arcade Mafia Chapter Two [Night] The Keepers had been shocked to see Corso lying in a vast pool of blood, his face marked with a gunshot, apparently by his own doing. They had not known who he was trying to shoot with that gun. All they had known was that the gun was a rigged one, considering that he had been holding the gun as he died alone in the waiting area. Venus exclaimed, "Check the Weapons Room for defective materials! Clearly, this has been a sabotage. We need to rid ourselves of these fake items." The other Keepers immediately followed. Despite their doubts, Venus was highly likely to not be a traitor and besides, what he had said was quite truthful. Unfortunately, they couldn't detect the presence of another rigged weapon... someone was messing with them... ***** Today was the day that the Press Relations Officer of Lumina Association, Sailboat had been delegated to deliver a speech to the crowd. He took the step to the podium in the Central Plaza and began speaking. "Ladies and gentlemen, we are in a world where technology has been a major part of our lives, making life processes easier and more accessible. We are in a world where communication is not hindered by distance or location, in a world where everything has been more beneficial for us, yet why is it that people still suffer? Why is it that people still experience discrimination? Why is it that we remain ignorant to the pleas of our unfortunate brothers and sisters? Why is it that we have more conflicts than the stars in the sky? We must yearn to help everyone in this world! We have not been blessed for the purpose of self interest! We must seek to help the poor and bring them to the light! We must work for the benefit of everyone, not only for our own selves or a limited few!" Corso looked at the gun he received the night before. This gun seems to be encouraging me to use it. I'm not even sure if this gun is genuine or fabricated, but my Psychic powers tell me it is. My third eye calls me to use it on that person and I'd rather follow my foresight, despite the risks that there may be. He rushed to the person he suspected, his gun aimed with precision. Unfortunately, although his aim was precise, his directions was way, way off and he ended up shooting himself. Hooligan's gun backfired. He is dead. He was Corso, the Oracle.

Chronicles of the Onyx Arcade Mafia Chapter Two [Day] "Oh dear." One of the Keepers of the Onyx Arcade murmured as he saw the corpse, lying in the main entrance of the Headquarters of the slowly growing vigilante group. As one would easily discern, the dead person was Sosobean, who had seemed to have been stabbed again and again by an unknown person. Sosobean had been heralded as the Guardian of the Keepers of the Onyx Arcade as he often lurked near the main gates and almost always had a shift in patrol duty in the group. He wasn't the type to do survey duty unlike Venus nor was he the type to do investigations like Divergent. He was more of the support type personalities in the group. Seeing such a grotesque scene made the Keeper puke in despair and this scene wasn't merely a simple death. It signified that traitors had indeed infiltrated the group and were already starting to destroy the organization within. At this thought, the Keeper fainted in fear. ***** Meanwhile, somewhere in the Coral Ward, Keepers who had gone out despite the warnings of Chancellor Divergent had found a scene that was quite unexpected. Upon further inspection of one of the warehouses in the area due to the foul smell, they found another corpse. The body was identified to belong to a woman named Purplecicada, who apparently was one of the head honchos of Team Valiant. She appeared to have been poisoned as a can of Coke was left in the area and the woman seemed to choke after drinking the Coke. Perhaps Potassium Cyanide was placed upon the soda. They made notes of the scene and left immediately without taking the body, in fear of getting ambushed by one of the enemy organizations. When they left, however, two groups of people visited the area. One group had a look of shock and disbelief while the other had a look of confused glee within them... ***** "Are you sure you're not gonna take a side, Young Master?" The servant asked while he served his master with a cup of tea. "I'm not interested in such boring occurrences." The young master answered as he took a sip from his tea. He seemed composed and calm, for now, though he seemed to be annoyed for some reason. "I'd rather focus on my own interests rather than assist a group which might just betray me in the end. Moreover, I'd rather not invoke the wrath of those I oppose." "That's a clever decision, Young Master." His servant spoke. "I shall support this decision of yours." ***** "The threat of a traitor within our ranks is indeed true." Chancellor Divergent announced to all the members of the Keepers of the Onyx Arcade. "This hypothesis hasn't been proven before, but we now know that it is true because of yesterday's incident with Paul25 and the recent death of Sosobean. With this, the threat of an inside job destroying us is very much possible, but we must not fear! We are far more capable than our enemies! We will conquer and overpower them!" Despite the underlying unease and doubt, the Keepers were persuaded by the short message of their Chancellor and they removed a large portion of the fear that was in their minds. "Interesting." A well-dressed man situated in the side area of the hall muttered. "That's all empty words, however, if they can't catch me, the glorious Secretary of the Lumina Association." "Heh heh." Another man who was part of the security of the Chancellor smirked. "Team Valiant will rule this region and rise above the others. I don't think their ideals can actually be fulfilled." Chronicles of the Onyx Arcade Mafia Chapter One [Night] Venus and the two Keepers fortunately reached Onyx Arcade Headquarters without any additional trouble. The three of them immediately visited Chancellor Divergent's office located in the deepest areas of the Arcade. In these times after all, they had to keep their activities secret, lest the enemies would pounce on them with all they've got. "I heard you met some trouble?" Divergent inquired as soon as they entered the office. "Yes. These two were met by Lumina Association's President while they were heading back here," Venus replied. "Fortunately, I was there to save the day!" "My, my, they certainly have been bold in their actions recently. However, we still cannot incriminate them for their crimes as we have no solid evidence by which we can ensare them." Divergent calmly stated. "I'm going to leave while you -" "Escaping, are you? We haven't begun talking about how you acted without permission." "Bu-but - I'm alright." "Speak for yourself. You haven't recovered from your injuries yet." Divergent sighted Venus' limping foot. "You know there is a fine line between recklessness and bravery. As much as I trust you, you simply cannot leave HQ without orders, especially when quite a few of our members are doubting you despite your good intentioned actions. Still, you did some remarkable work, so all I ask is that you bring one or two of our new recruits such as Hooligan or Corso, who need some field training or if you're going hardline, you may use it as an opportunity to check their allegiances." "But-" "No buts. It is an order. Now go. I need to talk to the two." Divergent ordered as he asked Venus to leave the room. ***** "I see. I thank you for undertaking this investigation as it has helped us attain some level of information on the enemy." Divergent answered after he heard the two Keepers' report. "From this, I can conclude that Team Valiant has truly been responsible for those kidnapping incidents in Obsidia. Moreover, what's more shocking is that, there truly are traitors or spies within our organization from Lumina Association. They wouldn't have known this business unless someone within told them about it. There may be some moles from Team Valiant, as well, so we have to be careful. We shall take immediate action before we are destroyed inside." Just then, Anti_Hero entered the room. "I'm sorry to interrupt Chancellor, but there has been a commotion inside the base." ***** "What is this?!" Divergent exclaimed when he saw the unconscious body, lying limp on the floor, in a massive pool of blood. He had easily identified the victim to be Paul25, one of the loyal Keepers. The cause of death was obviously a gun shot to the forehead and death was quick and instantateous. Several Keepers were gathered in the area. They appeared to be in a state of angst, but they were continuously suppressed by some other Keepers, who weren't involved in the plight or preferred to not take a side. Venus was in the center of the crowd, nearest to Paul25's body. Despite the suppression, yells of anger and despair were still heard. "VENUS IS OBVIOUSLY THE MURDERER! HE KILLED PAUL! ESPECIALLY BECAUSE HE'S THE TRAITOR OF THIS ORGANIZATION" "DAMN YOU! VENUS WOULDN'T DO THAT! AND HE'S NOT THE TRAITOR. HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE HIM OF MURDER AND BETRAYAL!" "STOP YOUR LYING! HE WAS THE LAST PERSON PAUL TALKED TO AND HE CLEARLY HAD IT IN HIM TO KILL PAUL AFTER HE WAS ACCUSED!" "HE'S NOT THE TYPE TO DO MURDER OF ALL CRIMES!" "ALL CRIMINALS SAY THAT!" "SILENCE!" Divergent ordered amidst all the noise. Nonwithstandingly, they all followed, perhaps because of obedience or they simply were exhausted of all the shrieking and yelling. "I know that there has been a lot of angst with the prospects of a traitor within the organization, but what I can tell you is that Venus could not have been the murderer of Paul. He was with me while the death occurred. We shall conduct an investigation of the circumstances of the murder. All of you, go to your resting places. We'll talk about this tomorrow." The Keepers followed his orders, but certainly, an atmosphere of chaos and distrust was felt in the area. Never had it been such in all of the Keepers of the Onyx Arcade's history. "Ku ku ku." One of the 'Keepers' who left the area murmured. "Step 1 of the grand plan is completed. I must report this to Leader." Divergent checked the body as soon as everyone left. He wept in silence to lose a good man, a man he had respected. Clearly, whoever was responsible for this would pay, even if it was someone who was close to him... Eviora was lynched. Just so everyone knows, (1) Digital Amber is confirmed innocent due to being Venus, the Civilian role (which is Town sided) for now maybe (2) A no lynch can ensue if two people or more have the same amount of votes, but it's up to you if you want to pursue this. Chronicles of the Onyx Arcade Mafia Chapter One [Day] The streets of Onyx Ward were relatively quiet and empty in the early parts of the Day. Even though the arcade in the area ran for 24 hours in a day, the place was still characteristically quiet during dawn. This day was different, however - two people wearing robes which had hoods to cover most of their face were walking around towards someplace in the covers of the early morning. "Are you sure that there's a report of a mangled body in Obsidia Ward?" One of the hooded figures asked his partner. "Yes," His partner answered. "Divergent told me about it and asked me to check it with you, so that we can have a good degree of security, in case those suspicious characters pounced on us as well." "Alright. I think we're getting close." They reached the back alley of the part, where apparently this man named Divergent led them to in the hopes of gaining information on the mysterious organization called Team Valiant, who seemed to be interested in targetting certain individuals of society while they hid in the shadows. "This foul smell...!" The first hooded figure said. True enough, when the two approached the alley, they noticed a reeking corpse which seemed to have been strangled and stabbed repeatedly. Their had seemed to be signs of struggle. "It seems it is true that they exist. We must inform Divergent." The two said as they left the vicinity and started to walk back to the Onyx Arcade Headquarters. As the two walked back, they noticed strange disturbances. Someone or some people seemed to be on their trail, but they couldn't seem to locate where these people were. They walked faster in the hopes of losing these people who might be on pursuit, but the footsteps were getting more richer in sound, and they decided to take off running, but as they ran, the shadows behind them seemed to grow larger and they surprisingly found themselves cornered in a dead end. "Look what we have here," A voice was heard from the misty parts of the opening of the dead end. "Looks like they're part of that vigilante group called the Keepers of the Onyx Arcade." "Who are you...?" The first hooded figure asked. "You don't know me?" A woman appeared from the shadows. "Your leader, Divergent, seemed to have some dirt on me, regarding my exploits in the Lumina Association. I can't let him ruin my career. You'll have to pay. Agents, dispose of them." "Lumina Association...? That's the organization Venus warned us to steer clear off!" The first hooded man murmured in fear. "We won't tell anything. Please, I beg of you; leave us alone," The second hooded man uttered in pity as he noticed the gravity of their plight. "It's alright. You won't be talking when you're dead," The woman chuckled as she looked at her agents approach the two Keepers of the Onyx Arcade. Just then, another hooded man jumped and leapt at the two agents who were nearly reaching the two keepers. "Venus!!!" The woman from Lumina Association exclaimed. "Agents, dispose of him as well." The agents tried to approach him, but he knocked them down with a roundhouse kick. He then looked back and tried to see where the woman was, but it appeared she was had escaped, probably in fear of getting caught in his attacks. "We better head to HQ now." Venus told the two. Frederick sighted the Krabby. It was somehow still quite active despite being weakened earlier with Theodore's Baby Doll Eyes. It even looked menacing with the way it attacked using Metal Claw. Frederick deemed that it was best to keep up with the defense. He wasn't that sure if everything would be alright if he simply attacked the Krabby. It seemed far too aggressive that what his initial observations noted. "I will be keeping up the defense," He told his groupmates. "I believe that this Krabby is someone we shouldn't underestimate as it seems stronger than typical ones. I shall keep lowering its attacks. Please strike it with your strongest, so that we may suppress it." He angled his eyes to Theodore. "Theodore, use Baby Doll Eyes once more." He commanded to the cute Bear Pokemon. Theodore immediately approached the Krabby once more and presented its cute charm to it once more, continuing to show its eyes that would seem to convince you to take it easy on it. Chronicles of the Onyx Arcade Mafia A pleasant day to you! I am Myrmidon Divergent, one of your dynamic hosts, and I thank you for opening this thread. To the people who’ve played mafia here, it has been nearly six months since we’ve started this continuous flow of mafia games. We’ve been challenged at times – searching for answers in worlds where clues may be hard to find. We’ve been through different kinds of experiences, and we’ve been through both happy and sad times, not only in the mafia games we played in, but also in the interactions we had.
