    digimon world dusk isn't nearly as pretty or good or convenient as cyber sleuth, but the digimon aren't nearly as restricted by their base stats & i love it

      well, the aptitude stat, which controls the hard level cap on a digimon, can only be increased by digivolving and degenerating. there's an item that can increase it too, but it has a 2% chance of working and only increases it by 1, whereas digivolving & degenerating can increase it by much more.

      also you can retain moves from different digivolutions and create a lean mean coverage machine so...

      Not accounting for the ridiculous things you can do with moves if you involve DNA digivolution, but that takes time... lots of time. (Not that maxing stats doesn't take lots of time, too.)
