  1. Yeah, they probably wouldn't have actual knives, but my character likes cooking so he brought his knives ~ Too bad there's no gas to fry stuff on.
  2. Shiro sighed. 'How long has it been since I entered the room? Was I asleep?' He sat on the comfy bed and realized Shun was sleeping right next to him. He couldn't refrain from smiling. It was a nice sight. Shiro yawned, scratched his right armpit and stood up. He took a few moments to stretch before going out of the bedroom. He was hungry. Shiro looked around the apartment when he got out of the room. The place was actually rather big. When he first entered the apartment, it seemed as if it was smaller than his old room, but now that he got a good look of it, he saw how really huge it was for a student dorm. They had a tv and a couch, and a wide window spread across the wall of the apartment looking at the academy grounds. His stomach growled when his eyes laid upon the kitchen. It was a fully equipped kitchen, only without any knives or any actual useful kitchen utensils. But he was ready for that. Shiro crouched in front of his suitcase and opened it. He searched for a while, throwing all the useless stuff (clothes, for example) behind himself. When he was done throwing all the knick knacks out of his suitcase, he procceeded to take out of it a bright yellow box, about 50x40 centimeters. He put the box on the floor, took out a bunch of that white packing stuff they put inside the packages so the item doesn't get ruined during transport, and pulled out a wide frying pan, along with two rather big kitchen knives which were wrapped in paper. He smuggled the items from his house when he found out their dorms are going to have kitchens in them. He was always very fond of cooking. Nonetheless, he shouldn't have brought the knives in here, those are considered lethal weapons and aren't allowed in the Academy. Whatever, he had Shun to take care of keeping them safe and out of sight. He was pretty confident it was all gonna be alright, and his face widened in a big delightful grin. He reached once more into the box and held up what appeared to be a chunk of meat. Shiro took the meat, the frying pan and the knives into the kitchen. He took out a plate to slice the meat on (it was a big chunk of a Slowpoke tail) and tried turning on the gas. But nothing happened when he turned the button. "Oh, come on..." He shouted, clearly dissapointed. Shiro sighed once more, and was going to put the kitchen utensils away when he got a perfect idea!
  3. Then awesome I'll have my character smuggle some knives and a frying pan in the school

I never found her threatening, more like a nuisance.

Something with rock throw/rock slide should do it just fine, and a fire type like Litleo comes in handy except for the Masquerain.

Also, is interesting that her team got changed and the battle into a double. How many more surprises are there left?

Well, too bad cuz all my Flying types died against those retarded Tangrowth thingies, and my Litleo died against Corey's Skuntank. I don't have anything to hit them super effectively, and I don't have a mon that can learn Rock Throw or Rock Slide.

I think I'm pretty dead, so I'll make the situation easier for myself. This is no longer a full on Nuzlocke, as I just lost against Shelly (srsly, against a Bug type Gym Leader... sigh), but is a modified version of Nuzlock...

  4. I'm totally just making my character lay around in the room until his roomie arrives ~ (and okay, Snowpoint it is, or maybe I should go with a major city with skyscrapers like Castelia, Imma have to decide that)
  5. Oh god, Shelly's puzzle o-__-o

Chrysolia Forest was a puzzle? Huh. Didn't feel like one.

Don't mention Chrysolia Forest... I went through there last night for like the eighth time and still got lost.

Shelly's puzzle really isn't that hard, though- it's easier than it looks.

  6. Nope, I hadn't edited it in, that question was in brackets next to LaRousse which I wrote as the Hometown. I said if it couldn't be LaRousse that I would settle in for Snowpoint. So, can I say LaRousse or is Shiro a reference to the white snow of Snowpoint from now on?
  7. From the anime The movie Destiny Deoxys. It's a uber modern city ran by technology @Chim: I asked in my application if I could use it but you hadn't said anything about not being able to, so I thought it was fine :I
  8. Update for my character's backstory: Born in a wealthy family in the technologically advanced city of LaRousse somewhere in Hoenn, Shiro has had all that he could imagine. Books, TV, computer, toys, games, even Pokemon. But one thing he didn't have was freedom. He was bound by his lofty home, growing up away from society and people. Not even his parents paid much attention to him as they were to busy doing their 'important' jobs so Shiro was raised by various nannies and tutors, from who he learne everything he needed to survive in the world. The only thing they couldn't give him was true love and friendship, and that was why Shiro was never able to truly enjoy his life. That's when Shiro turned to Pokemon. They were perfect friends for him, cute, cuddly, quiet and always joyful. He grew up to dislike battles, but he learned a lot about various Pokemon by interacting with them so he became pretty skilled at it, even though he never noticed it.Shiro learned he was nothing special (despite his status and wealth) the hard way when he tried going to a public school in LaRousse once. Let's just say it didn't end well, and he continued being home schooled until he turned 13, when he began thinking about joining the Redwod Academy in Ymora. He read about it online, and it captivated him. He got especially intrigued by the concept of Pokemon Contests, where victories are acquired through skill, not through strenght. He decided he would join the Academy when he would be od enough. He tried going to amateur Contests in LaRousse with his Ralts, Shun, but he soon found out his dreams might very well be over before they even began. You see, when Shiro climbed on the stage infront of hudreds of people, he became really nervous and actually puked in front of everyone. There were just way too many people there for him to handle. That's how his stage fright developed. After sleepless nights, Shiro made the decision. He would not let his stage fright stop him! He is going to overcome it and become the best coordinator in the world! EDIT(I can't believe I forgot to write this... again): He preferes Psychic types because they have the ability to communicate purely through emotions. They don't really need to talk in order to understand one another. Appearance update: Wears a silver pocket watch in his left pocket. He looks rather childlike, and is kinda short for his age. He still looks pretty much like Wally with brown hair tho.
  9. 'Was it realy okay to just bail out of there?' Shiro thought to himself. 'I mean, they were both just trying to be nice, and I ignored them both...' He turned over in his bed. He appreciated the coldness of the wall now touching his nose. It helped him cool down a bit, relieve the tension. "I'm really messed up, aren't I?" Shun was quiet. He was laying with his back against Shiro's. Shiro closed his eyes. 'If I keep going like this I'll end up all alone.' Something cold and wet slid down his cheek. Shiro cuddled up in the fetal position, grabbing his legs with his hands and pulling them towards his plexus. "I'm an idiot..."
  10. Shiro was cornered by the boy and the old man. 'Crapcrapcrapcrap' He backed away a few steps and ducked to grab the handle of his suitcase. "I'm sorry, I gotta go... Goodbye..." He ran off into the hallway, using all his muscles just to try and pull the luggage as fast as he could. He had to get away from them... Shiro hastily pulled out the key from his left pocket. 'Room 26' "All right..." The signs led him through the gray coridors all the way to his new room. When he reached it (it wasn't a long way from the entrance) Shiro stopped and leaned with his hands onto his knees. He was panting and was covered in cold sweat, so he used the sleeve of his sweater to wipe it off. He took a few minutes to relax before finally reaching for his keys. He couldn't get them into the lock the first few times he tried, but it eventually worked. The door opened with a satisifying 'click' and Shiro hopped inside. The room was quite nice, although much smaller than his room at home. There were two separate beds in it. He shivered when he imagined he was going to have to live with another person here for the next few years, but he figured it wouldn't be too messed up once he gets used to it, so he decided to relax and jumped onto the bed nearer to the window. Shun jumped on next to him, and pat his head, at which Shiro smiled. "We'll make it work, right Shun?" The Ralts nodded in agreement.
  11. Welp, edited it. I'll try not to make such silly mistakes again Yup, I noticed who my roomie was Brace yourself, "Glitch", cuz you're about to be forced into a friendship with the most socially awkward boy ~
  12. Sorry guys for posting that there >o< I'm still quite nooby at this. I hope it wasn't a big problem... So, if my room is 026, it's on the ground floor, right? And I'm wondering about the interior decorations of the dormitory halls. I kinda imagine the school acadmy to be red cuz of Redwood why is everyone bi in this Academy, lol XD
  13. "No, thank you, I dont need any help." Shiro said after Devin came to greet them. This time he looked towards the person he was talking to. The boy he saw in the hall was there alng with the grotesque man, and Shiro relized his mistake the moment they both turned to face him. A conversation was inevitable
  14. (OOC:Tacos, you do realize I put my character right in front of your character in the story so that your character might strike up a conversation or something but you hadnt even mentioned him there. Also, Im in school so Im only coming on here to say this because it kinda bothered me.)
  15. Shiro got up. He was fed up with just sitting in the main hall, so he took out a piece of paper and a pen from his suitcase and wrote a note saying he already went to his room. He left the note at the nearest desk and hurried out to the boys' dormitory, while Shun happily jumped after him. Most of his time, his view was focused on the ground, so he couldn't see any of the campus, except for the grass, that is. When he got to the dorm and opened the door, he saw another boy sitting on the floor and eating an apple. A Spheal was cuddled next to him. 'Oh crap...' Shiro thought to himself while staring at the boy. 'What to do now? I can't talk to him... Yes, I should just retreat the way I came.' His hand was still holding the door open, so he slowly pulled it to himself and took a step backwards... But it was already too late.
  16. Shiro accepted the ID card, but didn't raise his head even once to look at the person speaking to him. He didn't need to know how they looked, it wasn't important. He muffled a short "Thanks..." and scurried to the nearest corner where he sat and eveloped himself in the safety of his sweater. Shun, his Ralts, stood by him on the suitcase, and just watched. Shiro knew there were other people around, but he had no intention of talking to any of them, so he just ignored it all.
  17. An intimidating, dark limo parked next to the entrance into the Academy grounds. A young man exited through the back door, ignoring everything the woman shouted to him from inside the car. He just nodded whenever she said something, and continued to the trunk in order to get him suitcase. All this time, an unusually small Ralts was following the boy's every footstep. Shiro picked up the heavy suitcase and started dragging it behind himself. He wasn't strong enough to actually lift it, and he simply replied with a 'No' when the driver suggested he should be the one to carry the luggage. Shiro looked up. The intimidating main building of the Academy rose before his eyes. He was so nervous, but he shrugged it off. He took a deep breath and stepped inside...
  18. Sooo, where should I begin now that all the people have already posted a ton of stuff?
  19. I'll be a coordinator :3 Name: Shiro Advent Age: 14 (Birthday: 19th December) Appearance: Imagine a Wally but with brown hair and gray eyes. (I might draw him if I have the time) Wears a sweater (with too long sleeves) no matter the weather. Wears brown trousers and simple, gray shoes. Program: Coordinator Starter: Ralts (male, tho it will later be a Gardevoir) Hometown: LaRousse (if it can be from the anime); (if not) Snowpoint city Background: A shy boy who doesn't like being in a large group of people. He is super shy, and that led to him connecting more to Pokemon than people, which made him despise Pokemon battles. Why did he bchoose to enroll as a coordinator? Welp, because he really wanted to go to the Academy, and it was the only available program he actually had some interest in. Unfortunately, he has severe stage fright, and gets panic attacks during contests. He is determined to overcome that obstacle though. He likes being warm, that's why he always wears a sweater. He sometimes cuddles up in a ball when by himself and just enjoys the soft warmth of his sweater. His parents are rather rich, so he was basically raised by various nannies and tutors, and he barely even knows his parents. They're too busy doing their important jobs. (might add something later, my brain is lagging) EDIT:
