    Guys, guys, yes, you should stop with the damage calcs and randomizers. You're taking all the fun out of the battles :I Just make them as cool as possible without messing up the believability ~ You don't need to pinpoint the damage. Like wehn Robert's Elekid charged up the Thundershock against Shiro's Snorunt. It wouldn't have done over 50% of her hp down otherwise. Just take everything in account when deciding the amount of damage your mons sustained ~

    @Chim: You mean this? No coverage moves yet, since they will be obtainable through rigorous training.

    Can we get any new egg moves via training or something like that? Some count as coverage and can't be obtained right from the start, so I think it makes sense, kinda

    Whoops, forgot to put my mons' hp from the earlier post. Imma do it now Tal was hit straight on by a Thundershock. She wobbled a bit before finally falling down. It was over. His first battle was a loss... Shiro couldn't help himself. As much as he was reluctant to battle at first, he actually enjoyed it. Well, most of it. The point is he was genuinely dissapointed when Shauntal's face hit the floor. But he was also really worried... As soon the 5 battle points had been taken away from his account, Shiro ran over to Shun and Tal. "You guys were awesome back there." He whispered to them, with tears in his eyes. Not as much from worry than from the dissapointment. Both of them were still concious though, even after all the beating they had taken. "Well... it was a fine battle, I suppose..." Shiro tried to put on a smile, but it could clearly be seen that it was fake. For whatever reason, he was feeling angry at Robert, and didn't really want to be in his company right now. But still, he pretended it was all fine. Shiro returned Tal to her Poke ball. She was too weak to walk right now, and they had to reach the medical station.

    Shun's eyes widened, and Shiro felt it. Shun was unnerved, like some cat that's been cornered. "is that seriously all that would take for them to beat us..." Forcefully thrown back to reality from the illusion of victory, Shiro stood there, staring at blank as Voltage shot out his Thundershock attack, hitting Shun straight on. A blink of an eye was all it took for the shadows to retreat back into Shun's body, and it was like everything just broke when Shun let out his screech. The thump when his body struck the floor sounded... dreadful almost... Kiai reacted quickly, bashing Shun straight into the stomach with his leg, sending him flying like he did with Tal. Tal... Tal! Tal was running towards the two opponents. She had gotten back to her feet! And she had gotten near the foes while they weren't paying attention! "Tal, let's show them! Strike Kiai with Ice Shard, we'll deal with Voltage later." Shiro was yelling. 'We have to help Shun!' Three sharp ice chunks materialized themselves from apparently nothing right above Shauntal's cone, and she shot them at the Riolu from almost point-blank range.

    Have I gone overboard with Shun's awesomeness? :3 There are ways for Robert's Pokemon to release themselves from the shadows, but I'll just leave Robert to try and figure that out ~

    "Shun, watch out!" Shiro shouted as both Pokemon jumped towards Shun. 'There is no time for him to react, he is done for!' Shiro closed his eyes to keep himself from loking at the battle. He couldn't bear the site of Shun getting hurt again. Two loud smacks could be heard, and Shiro was at the edge of tears. 'They got him... Shun's done for...' "Ruru!" Shiro's eyes quickly opened when he heard his partner. He didn't sound hurt, no, that was a victorious cry! And Shiro soon discovered why. Both Kiai and Voltage have been stopped in their tracks by Shun's shadows. Like they were alive, the shadows' hands were holding the two Pokemon by their feet, slowly advancing upwards. They were struggling, but nothing helped. Shun had them in his grasp! Sure, Shun was also unable to move. He had to maintain his shadow field, and it must've taken a whole lot of concentration to do that, but he didn't need to move. Tal could finish them off if she manages to get up. "Tal, try rolling over to your belly!" Shiro shouted the command. "And Shun, keep it up! You're doing great, boy!" Shiro was getting really excited about this. He was winning, he was actually wining!

    'Crap...' Shiro watched as Shun's Confusion attack only hit the dust Kiai had left behind himself. His blazingly fast attack allowed it to hit Tal directly, knocking her off into the air. She did a few backflips in mid air before falling down on her back. "Tal!" Shiro barely restrained himself for running to help his Snorunt, only stopped by Devin's pressence. 'I can't help them while a teacher is supervising us...' "Tal, can you get up?" Tal tried to shake herself back to her feet, but she only managed to roll herself from side to side. She was helpless. Shiro turned to Shun. "Shun, try helping Tal in some way..." Shun nodded and turned straight to Kiai. His blue eyes shone through his vivid green hair as he glared at Kiai. Shun kneeled on his feet, extending his arms in front of himself to support his body. 'What is he doing?' Shiro's brain was searching for an answer. Shun had never took such a stance before. When Shiro looked back at Shun, he saw his horn had started glowing purple as his shadow grew and duplicated all over the field like an eerie dark net. Soon, the shadows trapped Kiai and cut him off from Tal. "Oh, good job!" He jumped up. 'Maybe we can somehow even win this!'

    "Ok..." Shiro said as he made his way to the opposite side of the field. His heart skipped a beat when he took a look at it. The field seemed so much bigger and more intimidating from where he was standing now. Even some other people came to watch them... 'Shrug it off, you can do this.' "Alright... How does this work... He pulled out his Pokedex and pointed it towards Shauntal. A red light flashed for a second as the machine scanned her, revealing her moves and abilities to Shiro. Shiro read the list of moves. "So... Disable, Icy Wind, Weather Ball and Ice Shard... Sassy nature... And Moody." He took a second to think before saying his commands. 'I can't use Shun's Will o Wisp yet... And that was our most valuable move... Regardless, I'm just glad I could make Tal do the actual fighting and let Shun back her up. Both of his Pokemon are really fast, so I have to take care of that first.' "Shun! Use Confusion at Kiai, and Tal, Icy Wind both of them!"

    Chim, does Weather Ball count as a coverage move? I wanna put it on Shiro's Snorunt, but I dunno if it's allowed yet. It doesn't have any weather changing moves for now, so Weather Ball is just a Normal type 50BP move.

    @Turbo: When you come online, feel free to position Shiro at the right place for the battle. You can start the battle then if you want ~

    Chim, dont make the revelation right away ~ Waut for Shiro to start the battle and then shock him with the truth in the middle of it when Devin hears him refer to Shun as male. =3

    Shiro accepted the pokedex back. They had both staked 5 battle points on the battle. "Oh, one more thing before we begin." Shiro ran up to Devin. "Professor... uhm..." Talking to authorities was never Shiro's specialty. "I mean, would you mind checking up on my Ralts before the battle? I dont know if he should battle with the injury from yesterday..." Shuro clled for Shun to come, after which he raised him and handed him over to the professor.

    "Well..." He took a breath to say something but he decided not to. Now that Henry had mentioned it, 2 on 2 really does make it sound as if he was asking for a double battle. But Shiro had no idea even how to battle. 'Be strong, you can do it. You'll have to do double battles in contests too, and if you master them, that would mean you would do great in single battle as well! So go there and kick some butt.' "Yeah, sure, a double battle..." Shiro said with an awkward smile, and turned around. It's gonna be tough, but it has to be done now. Shiro greeted the dragon teacher, Devin, and turned back to Robert and Henry. He reached for his pokedex in his pocket and handed it to Robert. "Can you help me with registering myself in this thing? I tried doing it myself but I couldnt get it to work... Oh, and here's my ID." Shiro said as he handed his ID and Pokedex to Robert.

    @Chim: Isnt Devin's battlefield already taken? I cant really put a finger on it, but I think I saw someone write they went to prof Cadmus, soo yeah. EDIT: yup, it was commander. But he doesnt seem to have an opponent yet while Shiro and Robert are ready to battle :3

    "Thanks!" He turned to point at the Snorunt with a big grin on his face. "This is Tal, and I'll make her into the most beautiful Froslass!" Tal raised her nose, as if she was some diva. "Anyways, we will have to ask Shun if he can battle, but I don-" Something pulled Shiro's pants again, a familiar kind of pull. Shiro looked down and saw Shun. He was nodding. "Shun, are you sure? I me-" "Ruru!" "Ok then..." Shiro picked Shun up, and they began walking wuth Robert to the fields. "Seems like we will be having a 2 on 2, after all." They made their way outside, finally getting a good look at the battle fields.

    Shiro and Robert were interrupted by Professor Redwood and his assistants who brought 18 tables filled with poke balls into the gym. The only problem was that the prof mentioned battles would be taking place after they picjed their new Pokemon... Anyhow, Shiro made his way to the Ice table, his heart pounding from excitement. He quickly glanced at the names on the poke balls, searching for the letter... 'S'. Shiro picked up the ball labeled 'Snorunt, f'. All this time, Shun was on Shiro's shoulder, almost as excited as the boy. "This will be our new partner, 'k Shun?" Shun nodded in agreement. As Shiro pressed the button on the poke ball, a loud bang was heard and a average looking Snorunt appeared on the floor ij front of them. "Hi, Im Shiro!" He said, offering a cookie to it. "And Im gonna make you into the most appealing Froslass the world has ever seen!" Snorunt nodded joyfully, accepting the cookie. "Uhm... and for you name... I know! I'll call you Shauntal! Or just Tal." Snorunt nodded once again. "Now we gotta find ourselves an opponent..." Shiro put Shun down next to Tal while he looked around. He knew who he wanted to battle, the only one he could trust at this point. And there he was, at the electric table, with a brand new Elekid. "Robert! Do you, I mean... is it fine if we were to battle now? You know, I never had a battle before, and Shun is hurt... I trust you the most, so please, would you?"

    "Uhm..." Both Robert and the other guy had good points, but Shiro was still unsure. He let his head fall down to his chest. "I dont know..." He felt a slight tug at his ankle. It was Shun. His face was covered in cookie crumbs, and he was pulling Shiro's pants. His left hand was pointing at the others. "Shun? You want me to go?" Shun nodded, pulling Shiro one more time. He seemed eager to go,. "Are you sure... I mean..." His big green eyes met Robert's as he turned his head. "I guess we could."

    Kiai and Shun happily chomped on their cookies. "I can already see us, the first years, splitting off into groups..." Shiro hroke the silence. He was glancing at the group around Danielle. "What if... what if I end up alone again... I don't... I don't want that..." There was a long break. Shiro was picking at his sweater. It was his light blue one, just like the sky. "But I always do. I always end up being alone. Everyone eventually split up with me..."

    "Not much... no" Shiro didnt want to tell Robert what he was feeling like. Besides, he was only frustrated at the other guy who left Shiro hanging. "Its really nothing... maybe just... no, not really." He pulled out a cookie (Poke Snax) out of his pocket. The cookie looked bland on the outside, but Shiro knew it was actually tasty since Shun liked it."Want to give one to your Riolu?" Shiro mumbled, handin over another one to Robert.
