  1. I do love Fire Emblem, so I'm definitely not complaining about the comparison. Hell, I love Fire Emblem so much that... Well, lets just say there's a handful of Civs I'm REALLY hoping made it in game. But yeah, Bandits are getting a lot more of a threat than I had anticipated when I installed the mod.
  2. Part 3 of the LP, in which we learn the TRUE value of Great Prophets, is below and in the OP! Part 3: http://imgur.com/a/rTuCz
  3. If I remember correctly, the cave just above Beryl Cemetery is where it's relocated to.
  4. I would be lying if I pretended I was super involved in this community. I don't post that often, there's only a small handful of people here I talk to semi-regularly, and I tend to have big bursts of activity on the showdown and minecraft servers, and then not go on them for ages. And yet, despite all that, this place is a big part of my life. I found the game a little after Gen VI started, I believe. I had looked around the forums for help and stuff a few times, but not not actually joined, but one thing really stood out to me: The atmosphere around here, from an outsider's perspective, seemed so different to what I was used to online. Everyone seemed so... Nice. Friendly and helpful is what stood out to me. I thought about joining many times, but my track record with forums is to join, never do anything, and then just totally forget, so I didn't. Then came a time where I was very worried about my health. To the point where I had come to terms with mortality and all that. And so I decided 'Now. NOW is the time to join what seems like a such a lovely, friendly community.' As it turns out, days after joining, Doctors finally came through and it turned out my worry was down to a number of errors, both on my part and theirs, and I was completely, 100% healthy. But I decided to stay anyway. Because this community is just as nice, and helpful, and intelligent, and just plain fun as it seemed when I wasn't a part of it. And sure, I don't post all that often. Sure, I haven't really made many friends yet. But... So? I might not have found my place quite yet in this community, but I still love it here. And I know I eventually will find it. I can post about the things that interest me, be it gaming or writing or even maths. Anything, haha. I can do things I love doing and share them. And I know that even if it gets barely any response, this is such a wide community, there'll be someone who's interests align. Really, what I'm trying to say is that this community you've made, Ame, is a brilliant one. One which is so important to everyone here, even those of us who don't seem all that active. Even if I don't know the perfect place or group within this community for me, what I can say for sure is that this community as a whole is somewhere that I fit in, somewhere right for me. And I'm willing to wager most everyone else here feels the same. And lets not forget the reason most of us got here first, too. Pokemon Reborn is a brilliant game, and one which I will always love, for the plot, for the gamelpay, for so many reasons, but just because it's damn good fun. Your post was really touching, Ame. I don't know you personally, but your reputation here as a great person precedes you. And regardless of what you think of birthdays, and whether you see the point in people wishing you a happy birthday or not, I just have to say that you sure as hell DESERVE a happy birthday. Your strength is inspiring, and the community and game you've created are just plain brilliant. (Oh, and as an aside for Dobby, I don't know if it's where it comes from originally, but the quote "The statistic doesn't matter to the individual" stuck with me too, I remember hearing Dr. Cox say something along those lines in an episode of Scrubs.)
  5. Welp, looks like I know where I'll be finding my background when I get my new Laptop.
  6. What's that sound? Why it's the sound of all this HYPE and RELIGION I acquire in part 2 of the LP! Link to Part 2 is below, and will also be added to the OP. Part 2: http://imgur.com/a/KwH6G
  7. I would play another 50 turns right now just to get another update in, but last time I played Civ at like half 1 in the morning I didn't sleep. But I'll do AT LEAST another update tomorrow. Probably more; once I start playing Civ, it's rather hard to stop.
  8. Well, if you clicked on the topic, you know pretty much exactly what it entails. To give some background, there's this mod which has a huge map of Tamriel from The Elder Scrolls series, and has 13 Civs based on the 10 playable races and 3 others, unless my count is off. It has a setting to have them all start in the exact locations on the map where their capitals would be. This will be done by albums of imgur pictures, and unless there's a period where like nothing happens, each album will depict 50 turns of gameplay. I'll basically update as and when I play, and also when I get inspiration to write captions for each pic they're funny in my head, I promise Anyway, here we begin with part 1! Part 1: Part 2: Part 3: Part 4: Part 5: Part 6: Part 7: EDIT: Oh hey, I wrote my instead of me in the title. I SUPPOSE that still makes grammatical sense, but I might hurt a little inside whenever I update this topic. Whoops. EDIT 2: Mod list, before I forget. People on Reddit kept asking for it
  9. Anybody interested in Screenshot LPs, Civilization, people playing games badly, copious use of mods, things that are probably only really funny in my head, or any combination of the above should probably keep an eye on the gaming general section.

  10. So, to clarify, the Lecture Hall Room will eventually be open to anyone, not just those who get picked? Because this has sparked my interest to learn Ruby either way.
  11. Say I had a screenshot LP of a non-pokemon game that I wanted to share... That'd go in Gaming General, right?

  12. With the last two patches upping the breathing volume, I'm actually finding it unsettlingly loud. I mean, unsettling is good and all, but still. Breathing volume seems good for me, although i didn't play before he patched their volume up so I can't say what it used to be like.
  13. What possessed me to buy Fnaf4? I'm like the most easily scared guy on the planet. Also I Night 3 keeps destroying me.

I seriously wish I could just keep the lights on. As for barricades, I assume that wouldn't be all too helpful because the doors open outwards. You could barricade the closet tho.

  14. Haha, the shirt is awesome too. And your beard. Best I can grow is a goatee, so I'm jealous of your band's music, your clothes, AND your ability to grow facial hair.
  15. Thanks for the link Kuro. Pyon, your band's music is awesome. I stumbled here just as I was looking for something good to listen to. My wishes have been fulfilled.
  16. Two questions: First, would anyone on here be at all interested in watching a livestream of me badly playing Civ 5 with perhaps some fun mods (and if so, any mod suggestions? Hell, any mod suggestions if not.). Second, if yes to the first question, how does one livestream Civ 5 (Or any Steam game :S)

  17. I'm gonna put my money on either Ghost/Normal (Ghost seems to fit the most thematically) or Dark/Normal (Because of the dusk in it's name). The normal just sorta... I dunno. It's a doll. I just like things with normal as a secondary typing, I guess.
  18. Every time I even consider trusting Scott Cawthon's words, he stealth releases. Not that I'm complaining.

  19. I reluctantly accept my title of cellardweller. Although the goal here is to do better than I did in PRCL, where I only had one victory and that was by default. Still, matches are fun to play and watch, so I won't complain, even if I lose every single match, haha.
  20. How did I not realise Agarest was this fun/addictive when I got it like a year or two ago? Doesn't help that I also recently got back into Civ 5 and Skyrim. So many addictive games to eat up every second of my time.

  21. Hey, glad to see all the people enjoying this! Well, due to popular demand, It looks like I'm joining the Aqua Gang. So I guess we'll open with some curbstompage. All these Level 30 pokemon. I still haven't decided which battles to list my team for, but seeing as they're all going to be easy because I'm doing this 30 odd levels later than I should be... Team for the entire Aqua Gang questline right up until 7th: Airy Lv57 The Godbat Lv57 Peach Lv57 Brainfreeze Lv56 Mozilla Lv57 Lucky #6 Lv55 That should save time and space. First thing I should point out, which I don't know is an event glitch or a text oversight, but even though Archer talks about meeting at night and after sundown, you can have the meeting whenever. Either that's intended and the text is wrong, or it's unintended and the event is wrong. Not that I'll complain because if I had to wait until night that's my plot progress entirely halted. Y'know, part of me is unhappy about the number of shady things our character is forced to do to advance the plot why do I have to read the damn diary but, while I may feel bad about joining a gang, robbing a woman as unpleasant as Craudberry does put a smile on my face. Darm was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power. Break was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power. Unsurprisingly, Ponyta wasn't shiny. Would've been nice if it was, because dat Rapidash (Although I have to say, while I do think the rainbow rapidash is brilliant, I prefer the black flames of the original shiny. Hell, the original ponyta shiny's blue flames make it one of my favourite vanilla Shinies fullstop.) Next up, attacking their base. Kriz & Nihil were easy, because #6 knows Earth Power. I remember how I seriously struggled in my battle against Maxwell on my first file. So I take great pleasure in this revenge: Maxwell was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power Alright, now that's all dealt with, I'm heading down to 7th to continue with plot. ALso, seeing as I tend to comment on music, I'm not all too fond of Lapis Ward's music. I very much like 7th's though. Subtlety can make a lot of difference. Even down in 7th, Darm was easy for the same reason as before. Now, a brief detour to fight Craudberry. Who's pokemon are stronger than mine. That said,it wasn't too hard. Mozilla dealt with Victreebel, Brainfreeze dealt with Druddigon, and The Godbat dealt with Qwilfish. That was almost as satisfying as robbing her. Rain Dance get! After buying all the pokemon, Arclight gave me a Lucky Egg, which is very much appreciated. Especially if any of them are Shiny (I've yet to check). This only makes me like him more. Cleaning up Reborn in his own way. Now, onto a battle that might actually prove difficult. Team Vs. Maxwell (2): Lucky #6 Lv57 Brainfreeze Lv57 Mozilla Lv57 The Godbat Lv57 Airy Lv57 Peach Lv57 I opened with Toxic Spikes, but only managed to get one layer up because i got unlucky on the confusion check. From there, Mozilla with Psychic was my go to guy. Ninetales insisted on spamming Extrasensory against Mozilla, so I had no trouble there. Between Poison and Psychic, Heatmor went down fast, although took of a chunk of HP with a Thunderpunch. I swapped to Airy for Houndoom, and took him down, but not without losing Airy in the process. Charizard took down Mozilla, Brainfreeze and The Godbat while sustaining heavy injuries, but Peach finished him off. Which left me with a +1 Peach against a Pyroar. It didn't go well. Attempt number 2 forgets Toxic Spikes, moving straight into Earth Power. Ninetales went down, with no damage to Mozilla and #6 still down. This time Heatmor chose Sucker Punch over Thunderpunch,so I lost Mozilla and Airy. The Godbat went up against Charizard, and i got lucky with a few flinches, so just managed to get him down. And then Houndoom took out The Godbat, Brainfreeze, and Peach in one fell swoop. Attempt #3 opened with Two Calm minds from The Godbat, and, thanks to some Fire Blast misses, he took down Ninetales in two shots. A lucky crit had Heatmor down in one shot, although I feel like he would've gone down anyway (If I remember correctly, Heatmor's special defense is awful. Plus thanks to the Psychologist, The Godbat no longer has a -Sp.Atk Nature.) Charizard also fell to the mighty Godbat. I swear, half his team down and I'm still on full 6, I don't see why I don't ALWAYS open like this. Houndoom FINALLY managed to end The Godbat's reign of terror. #6 Made short work of him though, thanks to the ever-useful Earth Power. And then dealt with Pyroar (Who is adifferent gender to the last battle, which amused me a bit). So huzzah! I won! After much anguish, Sunny Day get! Now, returning to the plot, which I admit I've somewhat neglected so far. I can vaguely appreciate how gullible the player is for assuming Bennett is that gullible. But, well... He sure pulls off gullible well. I believe I mentioned last time how El's outfit change and name lengthening intrigue me. Plus normal types are awesome, so I really do look forward to our eventual full battle against him. I despised this segment in the original, because I first did it during mock exams so I wasn't organised to have paper handy and my memory is pants. Luckily the screenshot function exists. More lukcily, I still have said screenshots. Although the patrolling might still be a pain to get around, this should be far less painful than my first tiem through here. Also, hey, so THIS is where the Holy Field is. How fitting. Now that I get to the bit I need screenshots, it seems like theh ard part is scrolling through 1638 backup saves. I save OFTEN. I look forward to the streamlining of the backup system in the next release. So, in case anybody else wants a quick reference: Now, I went and read some books because I didn't appear to have the screenshot for the Ruby password. I'm sure there are new ones, and one of them stands out to me mentioning 6 pillars: Emerald, Crimson, Violet, Gold, Azure and Ivory [seal as told]. Which is... New. Ivory and Gold have not had any involvement, whereas the other 4 are the Reborn colours under different names (except Emerald, under the usual name). I mean... Arceus is White and Yellow, I guess but... I feel there's more than that going on. This will no doubt become relevant, methinks. And also a mention of Blackest Beast lying at Light's End. Ever intriguing. And another book mentions four pillars of light, which one assumes are the standard ones. Hmm. I recognise one of these generic teams from my up to date playthrough. For the sake of memory, I'm bolding a name to remind myself when I get to the E15 content: Cultist Kaiden, Dragonair+Shelgon I have to wonder if there's ever a situation where Cain deems it inappropriate to make lewd jokes. He's very refreshing to have around, particularly in life threatening situations such as these. Also his 'What is your hair even doing?' to Bennet is absolutely brilliant. And he's right about not getting to be the very best like no one ever was. That'll be me, sorry Cain. And 'Thanks for the lead'? I... wonder what that was about. And Luna's mention of 'The darkness in Master's heart'... So many mysteries, dammit. But I guess I'm off to Iolia Valley. After teaching #6 Rock Smash, progress was smooth. I love this place too, it's so pretty. Bit laggy outside though. I am far more amused than I likely should be that there's a phone to the Grand Hall in the cave luna does her battles. It's brilliant. With that said, I have a battle to do. Two, in fact! Team Vs. Bennett (2): Brainfreeze Lv58 Peach Lv58 Mozilla Lv60 Lucky #6 Lv60 The Godbat Lv60 Airy Lv60 Darkness is gathering... Other than the Life Orb on Yanmega, which threw me a bit, this was pretty straightforward. Imagine if I had rock types, too... Bennet's team has a long way to go before he's Elite Four material, that's for sure. That aside, I find it hard to get a read on how Bennett will end up. He could very easily fall over the edge and go completely evil, but he could just as easily come back and help us. He's a confused and lonely guy but... Well, only time will tell. Oh, and as a nice detail, the Light Shard in here respawns, to function as a healing machine before the gym. That's awesome. Team Vs. Luna: Lucky #6 Lv60 Brainfreeze Lv58 Peache Lv58 The Godbat Lv60 Airy Lv60 Mozilla Lv60 Darkness is gathering... So, knowing she opens with her Bisharp, I get my Toxic spikes out, as he won't remove 'em later. #6 gets out both layers but faints in the process. And then I switch to The Godbat, but for a very different reason to usual. ..So, in other news, Flash doesn't change the field to a normal Crystal Cavern. Welp, lesson learnt. Earth Power probably woulda done the job, too. I guess I'll try that out if I lose this time. But Mozilla made short work of The Carpenter, and Peach of Bandersnatch. Brainfreeze mostly took down Humpty Dumpty, but he switched out once Brainfreeze fainted, so then Peach set up against March Hare and dealt with that. Then Jubjub Bird took down Airy and Peach, and various other faintings happened previously that I forgot to write down, so I lost. I guess I'm trying Earth Power this time. I managed to get both layers of spikes up AND Earth Power, which had no effect on the field, but took down Bisharp in one shot. The downside is that Bisharp got off Stealth Rock, which will tear right through my team. When I thought all hope was lost for the field, her Tyranitar used Earthquake and got rid of it for me. Everything went fine and then, once more, Honchcrow tore through nearly my entire team. But I now learnt Mozilla can outspeed it, and will burn next time. Battle three opened with an Earth Power. Can't risk Rocks, especially if T-tar turns the field into a cave. He did, but I still got up a single spike layer, and no rocks in sight. Peach and Airy dealt with Ttar. Airy with Malamar. Mozilla with Honchcrow (Finally!), Mozilla+Brainfreeze with Sableye and, finally, Airy with Umbreon. Three tries seems to be a running theme this time, just like the fight with Maxwell. Now, I guess it's up to Agate, but I'd say that's enough Reborn for me today. Agarest and Skyrim demand my attention. Oh, and seeing as what Shinies I have are the same as last time, I'll change it up and put the backsprites instead of the frontsprites for once! Especially considering these are the sprites I tend to see. Shiny Collection Mozilla Brainfreeze Jalapeno? 22. I have spent a year convincing myself to not buy World Duel Carnival on principal. I caved and I have no regrets.

  23. To add to Dobby's post above, here's the actual Replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/reborn-ou-25416
  24. Alrighty, after a really long Haitus, I'm back! After much thought, despite how useful he's been, we will be boxing Sonicette for Airy. ...Right AFTER beating Radomus. Airy will temporarily be replacing Lucky #6 for the duration of the Psychic Gym, because weaknesses, but after that, I will indeed be cutting down to only one Ground type. I trained everyone a little bit, but I'm a bit further off of cap than I would like to be. Luckily, however, I recall Radomus being a slight pushover on my original file. Then again, so was Corey and we all saw how that happened on this run. Airy is fully evolved, but otherwise no team changes. So, I venture through the chess puzzle, which is always fun, meanwhile questioning at what point Elias got out of Radomus' control, if he ever even was. And why he keeps the changed outfit after this. El and Radomus are all rather confusing, as I'm sure I've said plenty of times. Anyway, the Chess puzzle was nice and fun, so I suppose that means what comes next is... Team Vs. Radomus: Sonicette Lv56 The Manbat Lv55 Mozilla Lv56 Peach Lv56 Airy Lv55 Brainfreeze Lv55 Opening variation set. So, I learnt a cool feature about Reborn. I had The Manbat open up with Calm Mind. Which I believe, thanks to Simple, is +4 Sp.Atk & Sp.Def. I was expecting the usual message of Drastically which happens with +3 and above, but I instead got treated to 'The Manbat's Special Attack went way up!' So yeah, I opened with Swords Dance on Sonicette and Calm Mind on The Manbat. So we're at +2 and +4. So, of course, I then followed with Earthquake and Psychic. I did not realise Reuniculus was tanky enough to take a +2 Earthquake. I know Sandslash isn't the strongest pokemon, but wow. Luckily, for the second turn in a row, he opted for Focus Miss instead of trick room. Now, Metagross took down the Manbat, but Sonicette is still going strong. Peach came out next because she can take about three Quakes from a +2 Sonicette. Together they got both Metagross and Malamar. Which leaves Slowking and GG herself. I'm assuming Radomus' levels got dropped a bit. I recall him being the first leader to break level cap, but GG appears to be AT cap here. I guess will be the first one, then. Which is a shame really, because doubles ai refusing to use TR means he's not that hard. Plus Sonicette is really strong. Anywya, GG and Slowking both took a quake, and then knocked out Peach and Sonicette in vengeance. But they're low on health, so I'll be fine... Right? ...anyway, on to the second attempt. Second attempt opens with the same pokemon. In fact, im basically trying the same strategy, but hopefully playing a bit better. This one went even worse. Took out Gallade Early, but Focus miss didn't miss, so I also lost Sonicette early. Meaning the crux of my Earthquake spam strategy is dead so a new strat is needed. I sent Mozilla in expecting Metagross, and I was luckily very correct. He JUST survived a Flamethrower, but thanks to the brilliant judgement of a master chess player, ice punched Mozilla intead of The Manbat. I won't complain, but this ai is a bit... yeah. Still, it worked for me because it means Radomus ate up his Hyper Potions. Hell, I'd argue this battle is going even better, despite the loss of Sonicette. And then Reuniculus finally used Trick Room. Balls. Luckily the remainder of his team is special, and The Manbat is on +6 Sp.Def, and Peach on +2 (Although thanks to the double Quiver, TR makes her slow as hell). So, my entire team sans Mozilla and Sonicette versus Slowking and Gossip Gardevoir. They got Peach, but both are now very low on health. Next turn, they got Brainfreeze, but we got GG. The Manbat is slightly untouchable thanks to Calm Mind Shenanigans. He is no longer a mere Manbat. Therefore Airy+The Godbat go to fight a yellow health Slowking. Unlike the embarassing end to my first attempt, I did it! Millenium Badge get! Vanhanen Castle is creepy with a lack of lighting and music. Just wanan throw that out there. And after everything in Astrae, only an idiot would trust Elias for a getaway, methinks. Sadly, the Player is apparently an idiot. Oh Cain. "I don't go down without a fight. Or at least some sweet talk first." Anyway though, out of the castle I go, meanwhile Cain namedrops El as E4. (Well, he tecnically only called him one of the Elite. Which means there's a possibility that he's Champ. But c'mon, why him when there's a far more obvious candidate in Victoria Lin Anna.) Also dearie me, must Radomus TRY to make himself even more confusing? Suggesting he might seem suspicious but then brushing it off as nothing. Who even DOES that? He has the Amethys pendant, for goodness' sake. I'd really like that back. And... huh. 'I once heard stories of these keys being purchased from a travelling merchant. I wonder who that could've been?' I... had forgotten this line. Which changes the tone of the story quite a bit. He could be implying himself, or it could be a genuine question, hard to say, as it always is with him. But... There's a character somewhere who has more involvement in all this than we thought, selling these pendants to beging with. Perhaps Radomus, perhaps Shade... Who knows? For once, I don't have any real crazy theories. Anyway, it was about now I realised I have entirely forgotten to do the Aqua/Magma gang quests. So prepare for some roflstomps next episode as I handle all that. As for this one, I'm going to find a TV and then wrap up, and I'll leave a poll as to which gang I should join. Anyway, as for the TV: Interview was with Aya. No interesting reveals, but damn was that funny. Aya calling police on the random talking pokemon that just appeared in her house, Gardevoir making a remark about Hardy, Aya attacking Gardevoir. That sure got a chuckle out of me. As for the profile, this is the most helpful yet. It tells you what all her pokemon are, given that they're nicknamed, this is a rather significant boon. I remember my first battle with her on my old file was brutal. I got utterly slaughtered. Anyway, that's all for now! Hopefully I'll be updating more regularly now, although I'm busy over the weekend so there won't be anything until Monday earliest. Which gives more time for the poll on the Gang stuff. Anyway, that's all for now! Shiny Collection Mozilla Brainfreeze Jalapeno? UniqueTyping Jackie Pan Lucky #6 S. 25. Y'know that feeling when you expect something to be SUPER underwhelming, and then it's only slightly underwhelming, so it seems good until you reflect later? That about sums up my prom.
