Hey, glad to see all the people enjoying this! Well, due to popular demand, It looks like I'm joining the Aqua Gang. So I guess we'll open with some curbstompage.
All these Level 30 pokemon. I still haven't decided which battles to list my team for, but seeing as they're all going to be easy because I'm doing this 30 odd levels later than I should be...
Team for the entire Aqua Gang questline right up until 7th:
Airy Lv57
The Godbat Lv57
Peach Lv57
Brainfreeze Lv56
Mozilla Lv57
Lucky #6 Lv55
That should save time and space.
First thing I should point out, which I don't know is an event glitch or a text oversight, but even though Archer talks about meeting at night and after sundown, you can have the meeting whenever. Either that's intended and the text is wrong, or it's unintended and the event is wrong. Not that I'll complain because if I had to wait until night that's my plot progress entirely halted.
Y'know, part of me is unhappy about the number of shady things our character is forced to do to advance the plot why do I have to read the damn diary but, while I may feel bad about joining a gang, robbing a woman as unpleasant as Craudberry does put a smile on my face.
Darm was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power.
Break was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power.
Unsurprisingly, Ponyta wasn't shiny. Would've been nice if it was, because dat Rapidash (Although I have to say, while I do think the rainbow rapidash is brilliant, I prefer the black flames of the original shiny. Hell, the original ponyta shiny's blue flames make it one of my favourite vanilla Shinies fullstop.)
Next up, attacking their base.
Kriz & Nihil were easy, because #6 knows Earth Power.
I remember how I seriously struggled in my battle against Maxwell on my first file. So I take great pleasure in this revenge:
Maxwell was easy, because #6 knows Earth Power
Alright, now that's all dealt with, I'm heading down to 7th to continue with plot. ALso, seeing as I tend to comment on music, I'm not all too fond of Lapis Ward's music. I very much like 7th's though. Subtlety can make a lot of difference.
Even down in 7th, Darm was easy for the same reason as before.
Now, a brief detour to fight Craudberry. Who's pokemon are stronger than mine. That said,it wasn't too hard. Mozilla dealt with Victreebel, Brainfreeze dealt with Druddigon, and The Godbat dealt with Qwilfish. That was almost as satisfying as robbing her. Rain Dance get!
After buying all the pokemon, Arclight gave me a Lucky Egg, which is very much appreciated. Especially if any of them are Shiny (I've yet to check). This only makes me like him more. Cleaning up Reborn in his own way.
Now, onto a battle that might actually prove difficult.

I opened with Toxic Spikes, but only managed to get one layer up because i got unlucky on the confusion check. From there, Mozilla with Psychic was my go to guy. Ninetales insisted on spamming Extrasensory against Mozilla, so I had no trouble there. Between Poison and Psychic, Heatmor went down fast, although took of a chunk of HP with a Thunderpunch. I swapped to Airy for Houndoom, and took him down, but not without losing Airy in the process. Charizard took down Mozilla, Brainfreeze and The Godbat while sustaining heavy injuries, but Peach finished him off. Which left me with a +1 Peach against a Pyroar.
It didn't go well.
Attempt number 2 forgets Toxic Spikes, moving straight into Earth Power. Ninetales went down, with no damage to Mozilla and #6 still down. This time Heatmor chose Sucker Punch over Thunderpunch,so I lost Mozilla and Airy. The Godbat went up against Charizard, and i got lucky with a few flinches, so just managed to get him down. And then Houndoom took out The Godbat, Brainfreeze, and Peach in one fell swoop.
Attempt #3 opened with Two Calm minds from The Godbat, and, thanks to some Fire Blast misses, he took down Ninetales in two shots. A lucky crit had Heatmor down in one shot, although I feel like he would've gone down anyway (If I remember correctly, Heatmor's special defense is awful. Plus thanks to the Psychologist, The Godbat no longer has a -Sp.Atk Nature.) Charizard also fell to the mighty Godbat. I swear, half his team down and I'm still on full 6, I don't see why I don't ALWAYS open like this. Houndoom FINALLY managed to end The Godbat's reign of terror. #6 Made short work of him though, thanks to the ever-useful Earth Power. And then dealt with Pyroar (Who is adifferent gender to the last battle, which amused me a bit).
So huzzah! I won! After much anguish, Sunny Day get!
Now, returning to the plot, which I admit I've somewhat neglected so far.
I can vaguely appreciate how gullible the player is for assuming Bennett is that gullible. But, well... He sure pulls off gullible well.
I believe I mentioned last time how El's outfit change and name lengthening intrigue me. Plus normal types are awesome, so I really do look forward to our eventual full battle against him.
I despised this segment in the original, because I first did it during mock exams so I wasn't organised to have paper handy and my memory is pants. Luckily the screenshot function exists. More lukcily, I still have said screenshots. Although the patrolling might still be a pain to get around, this should be far less painful than my first tiem through here. Also, hey, so THIS is where the Holy Field is. How fitting.
Now that I get to the bit I need screenshots, it seems like theh ard part is scrolling through 1638 backup saves. I save OFTEN. I look forward to the streamlining of the backup system in the next release. So, in case anybody else wants a quick reference:
Now, I went and read some books because I didn't appear to have the screenshot for the Ruby password. I'm sure there are new ones, and one of them stands out to me mentioning 6 pillars: Emerald, Crimson, Violet, Gold, Azure and Ivory [seal as told]. Which is... New. Ivory and Gold have not had any involvement, whereas the other 4 are the Reborn colours under different names (except Emerald, under the usual name). I mean... Arceus is White and Yellow, I guess but... I feel there's more than that going on. This will no doubt become relevant, methinks. And also a mention of Blackest Beast lying at Light's End. Ever intriguing. And another book mentions four pillars of light, which one assumes are the standard ones.
Hmm. I recognise one of these generic teams from my up to date playthrough. For the sake of memory, I'm bolding a name to remind myself when I get to the E15 content: Cultist Kaiden, Dragonair+Shelgon
I have to wonder if there's ever a situation where Cain deems it inappropriate to make lewd jokes. He's very refreshing to have around, particularly in life threatening situations such as these. Also his 'What is your hair even doing?' to Bennet is absolutely brilliant. And he's right about not getting to be the very best like no one ever was. That'll be me, sorry Cain. And 'Thanks for the lead'? I... wonder what that was about. And Luna's mention of 'The darkness in Master's heart'... So many mysteries, dammit. But I guess I'm off to Iolia Valley.
After teaching #6 Rock Smash, progress was smooth. I love this place too, it's so pretty. Bit laggy outside though.
I am far more amused than I likely should be that there's a phone to the Grand Hall in the cave luna does her battles. It's brilliant. With that said, I have a battle to do. Two, in fact!

Darkness is gathering...
Other than the Life Orb on Yanmega, which threw me a bit, this was pretty straightforward. Imagine if I had rock types, too... Bennet's team has a long way to go before he's Elite Four material, that's for sure.
That aside, I find it hard to get a read on how Bennett will end up. He could very easily fall over the edge and go completely evil, but he could just as easily come back and help us. He's a confused and lonely guy but... Well, only time will tell.
Oh, and as a nice detail, the Light Shard in here respawns, to function as a healing machine before the gym. That's awesome.

So, knowing she opens with her Bisharp, I get my Toxic spikes out, as he won't remove 'em later. #6 gets out both layers but faints in the process. And then I switch to The Godbat, but for a very different reason to usual.
..So, in other news, Flash doesn't change the field to a normal Crystal Cavern. Welp, lesson learnt. Earth Power probably woulda done the job, too. I guess I'll try that out if I lose this time. But Mozilla made short work of The Carpenter, and Peach of Bandersnatch. Brainfreeze mostly took down Humpty Dumpty, but he switched out once Brainfreeze fainted, so then Peach set up against March Hare and dealt with that. Then Jubjub Bird took down Airy and Peach, and various other faintings happened previously that I forgot to write down, so I lost. I guess I'm trying Earth Power this time.
I managed to get both layers of spikes up AND Earth Power, which had no effect on the field, but took down Bisharp in one shot. The downside is that Bisharp got off Stealth Rock, which will tear right through my team. When I thought all hope was lost for the field, her Tyranitar used Earthquake and got rid of it for me. Everything went fine and then, once more, Honchcrow tore through nearly my entire team. But I now learnt Mozilla can outspeed it, and will burn next time.
Battle three opened with an Earth Power. Can't risk Rocks, especially if T-tar turns the field into a cave. He did, but I still got up a single spike layer, and no rocks in sight. Peach and Airy dealt with Ttar. Airy with Malamar. Mozilla with Honchcrow (Finally!), Mozilla+Brainfreeze with Sableye and, finally, Airy with Umbreon.
Three tries seems to be a running theme this time, just like the fight with Maxwell.
Now, I guess it's up to Agate, but I'd say that's enough Reborn for me today. Agarest and Skyrim demand my attention.
Oh, and seeing as what Shinies I have are the same as last time, I'll change it up and put the backsprites instead of the frontsprites for once! Especially considering these are the sprites I tend to see.
