  1. Hmm, well they're technically pokemon like any other, so there should be no prob. You know what, I think I might do a "Favorite Se7en Pokémon" thread for when the game has been out a couple months and people can pick their favs.
  2. A friend kinda dragged me into this beach party so, yeah if I had to draw I'll post them tomorrow XD

      Okay. Did you have fun?

No no, I just got here XD this is my phone.

  3. You have 30 seconds to explain why Constrict isn't the worst damaging move in existence (remember that Splash is status). Go!

Imo, you ask the impossible. Fell stinger at least finds use on some M-Beedrill sets

Though, TBH, I think that the started variations of Hyper Beam are the worst. The recharge is bad, but add to that the fact that you can't run them with an -ate or on anything that actually makes some kind of use of them (Giga Impact Slaking) Other non-Giga Impact/Hyper Beam recharge moves as well

Very fair point from Alexus. Also we forgot Focus Punch. A move made to fail.

Hey, I'm not asking for FS to get buffed, I just noted it's suckyness.

And Focus Punch isn't that bad, SubPunch sets are a thing. An incredibly rare thing, but hey.

  4. Those 2 are actually kinda the same pokemon XD But yeah Altaria is pretty good as it is. It fits Ciel thematically.
  5. Regular Dragonite has its perks too (despite it desperately needs a mega, I want the poor thing to be relevant in competitive again), but leaving that aside, extreme speed and dragon dance+outrage has always had utility...but if you carry a gardevoir with calm mind and you switch right into drag while it locks itself into outrage.... Regardless of all this, Ciel in general is an easy gym leader, if it wasn't because of poison heal stalling gliscor, but other than that...
  6. Even if a bunch of people were to complain about this, what other flying type could fit the role of Ciel's ace except for the fluffy heaven-bird? I mean maybe swanna, but swanna sadly sucks a bit and it has that crippling x4 weakness to electric... at much, it could be left without mega-evolution, but then again, poor altaria kinda sucks as well without her mega. Also, fairy and flying resist kinda the same things: bug, fighting.... flying resists grass while fairy does dark, and flying gets it weak to rock and ice while fairy does it to poison and steel, both grant an immunity as well; so you could say that, in some sort of way, fairy and flying aren't that fart apart. I guess Ciel is so badass she doesn't need her ace to be flying type for it to fly
  7. Generally I tend to think that if something is overused is because it is a good mon rather than because it is overrated, but this has a limit; there's a point after which some mons keep being used just because they're deemed as superior by players without actually considering it, just because of how used they are. In this way, I don't consider Pikachu or Lucario are overrated: their images are exploited by GF, but people doesn't use them much because they're not deemed as super powerful. Overrated pokemon, to me, are things like Charizard Y (as already mentioned by someone, stealth rocks pretty much kills it), talonflame (yeah yeah, gale wings, flare blitz, brave bird, blah blah blah, is so fragile it will go down to a combination of stealth rocks and water type...), Garchomp (people tend to think "got a garchomp on my side I'm gonna win"; yeah...no, garchomp still goes down to any ice type that outspeeds it, and Togekiss renders it useless for its standard set), Salamence (might be all the powerful you want in its mega, but ice beam/blizzard in hail still obliterates it; even behind a sub, sound based fairy type moves or pixilate echoed voice cripple it very much) and to some extent, Landorus (good as a lead, maybe, but much like most of the other mons I consider overrated, it goes down pretty easily to a single move, ice beam).
  8. I see. So the aunt of red got the beat before even I got to try it. At this point I'm bound to ask ourselves, have we gone too far?
  9. If it helps in anything, I've been registered since july 12th, 2014, so that kinda makes me from ep 11's generation I guess. I've survived two hattenings, a foxening, the starts of the repture and the lotadening, slightly.
  10. Oh yes! I remember using this set so much when I played competitive. All things with shell smash are monsters, but Carracosta's got that STAB priority, pretty useful.
  11. Aaaayyyyyy all this Aurorus love tho! it is actually my second fav right behind Cradily.
  12. Yeah Reli is the living fossil pokemon, so technically it isn't a fossil, but is so old you might as well consider it to be one. I mean, if we get all into details, this thing was alive to see all the great rock ones (Aerodactyl, Tyrantrum, etc.) fall and extinguish.
  13. Cool picture tho. Muh girl Cradily looks awesome in there (all fossils look awesome actually XD) Also, a question: does anyone in here consider relicanth a fossil pokemon? because if you think it is, and it happens to be your fav, you can mention it lol
  14. Lol I love Aurorus too, so bootyful. And I kinda wish Archeops got some other ability instead of the awful Defeatist (I mean, why does it even get that? he's the ancestor to all fuckin' bird pokemon, if anything he's an evolutionist, not a defeatist....plus in japanese, the ability's name is "Timid"; does it look timid to you? whismur is timid, archeops is a beast!). Dunno Archeops could get defiant, adaptability, big pecks, early bird...dunno, anything that is not defeatist (or stall/slow start/truant/illuminate, for that matter...)
  15. So yeah, what the title says, what's your fav fossil mon and why? Mine are Cradily and Lileep. I love their design and type combo :3
  16. Okay, hold on, am I the only one who's rep limit per day is in 30? How can you people upvote so much?

@LoreLost: yep, as Vinny instructed me, normal members have a limit of 30 upvotes each 24 hours or so. Ace members have a much higher limit.

  17. Fuck you mate, it was I, the person who is not Chubb! Now I must go, my planet needs me or whatever. Dark you're mi heir now, come claim your fortune.
  18. Well, weird situations....I have had one, but it might have been more of a child's imagination rather than anything else. To this day I'm not sure XD. Anyways: So yeah picture that I'm a kid. Okay, that was easy. Now is a friend's b-day, but because of the way we celebrate some b-days in muh hood country, the kids were inside playing with toys in a room and the parents were chatting outside in the backyard. This was at night, like, when there's no sunlight and stuff. So yeah me and 3 other kids were playing inside, and I was entertained with some dinosaur toy I think it was, and I was also just next to the only window that room had (it was an average sized room iirc). So yeah suddenly the other 3 kids get out to go get a specific toy to the room of my friend (the one whose b-day we were celebrating and such) and I'm alone in that room with the dinosaur toy but I don't realise because I was a kid, I ain't got time for that. And so the window drags my attention for a second, because there's the shadow of a man projecting in the curtains (the window had curtains but there was light outside because backyards generally have a big lightbulb in the wall; my parents and their friends weren't talking in the dark lol). The man is walking from right to left, which if I remember correctly, was direction backyard-->street in that specific house. The shadow was laughing and moved its head, like, you could see the man's mouth opening and moving as he laughed. I actually DID hear that guy laughing. It was a bald man's shadow, I also remember that. So then I wasn't really scared or anything because, hey, my old man is bald (and majestic!), some of my dad's friends were bald (but not as majestic tho), and well, I thought one of them just passed by the window and I saw their shadow, that's all. But I didn't know what he was laughing about, so when I went outside some 10 minutes later or so, I asked the grown-ups which one of them had passed near the window laughing like that. They, including my parents, told me that none of them had moved from the chairs they had put in the backyard that night, they hadn't moved from the chairs. And I was like "but that can't be, I saw one of you passing near the window laughing". They negated that again. They hadn't moved from the chairs. So yeah I never knew who's shadow that was in the window, I never knew if it was just my parents and their friends playing dumb (which is unlikely as if they were to prank a little kid, they should have known I was near the window to begin with, and they must have also expected my question, which was unlikely because a) they weren't going to prank a little kid and b ) when I asked them their faces looked genuinely unaware). So yeah dunno that was one of the weirdest things I remember. I still want to know who was that guy in the window tho. EDIT: I just got curious about this shit again and went to ask my mom. Her answer was "why all that shadow thing so suddenly again? Go study math already and forget about that. It was probably just a ghost or something". Dammit mom. Well whatever.
  19. If I could choose what I want to be, I'd be either a Gengar or a Sableye (or any ghost type really, they're all awesome) If it goes by personality or all that stuff, I'd be either a dunsparce, slakoth or a magikarp holding an everstone. Sometimes you just have to accept reality.
  20. I started back in ep 11, but I think that I can remember it from my original run: Julia: 6 tries (what happens when you start playing pokemon not knowing how types or special/physical split of moves work; and even more, you choose reborn as your first pokemon game, you were destined to die to Julia's electrode every single fucking time) Florinia: 1 try (without field effect, I didn't have any problem with her, not even with her cradily) Corey: 3 tries (braixen with psybeam worked wonders before he got that nasty field effect; it took me a few tries to know all of Corey's team members tho) Shelly: 2 tries (braixen and pyroar destroyed her; the first time I didn't expect her armaldo tho) Shade: 2 tries (I don't really remember this battle, just that it wasn't really hard or anything; as usual, a first try to figure out his team, a second one to sweep) Kiki: 1 try (easy as fuck; delphox, gardevoir, gourgeist and mawile OBLITERATE her) Aya: 2 tries (similar to Corey, I don't remember her much as well, wasn't a difficult fight; I have too many good psychics I guess...) Serra: 20 tries easily (I wasn't prepared for a combination of water, ice and speed at that point; she crushed my soul many times) Noel: 3 tries (I fought this shy genius kid when Clefable was still on his team despite being a fairy, but whatever, Scrafty, Mawile and even Gourgeist with rock smash, surprisingly, took good care of him: I needed 2 battles to figure out his team tho) Radomus: 2 tries (first one to figure out his team, second to anihilate it with SWAG Queen the Scrafty) Luna: 25 tries easily, if not more (despite having mawile and scrafty, I wasn't prepared for the combination of bulk, prankster and offense capabilities her team had; Plumpoison the scolipede was the one that finally took me out of my despair, with a combination of steamroller and speed boost) Samson: 1 try (just like Kiki, too many psychics and fairies for the guy to handle; this was the easiest gym in the game period) Charlotte: 15 tries (her field and team completely walled mine at some point; I required the help of my Tyroar to finally overcome her with double resistence to fire and neutrality to energy ball and solar beam). Terra: 6 tries (her field took me a while to figure out, as having too many fairies and dark types is not really good when all their moves suddenly turn normal type; the fact that her Claydol and Garchomp were so specially defensive for some reason didn't help much. I overcame her with a combination of stalling Gourgeist and luck) Ciel: 1 try (easier than expected for a type that has proven to be one of my worst weaknesses over time; however, her gliscor's acrobatics, that has 110BP and receives STAB, just took HALF of my gourgeist's HP each time, that's how amazingly bulky Halloween is; with leech seed and a few hyper potions, she could wall Gliscor for days. Rest of her team falls surprisingly fast to Sparkiller the manectric, which is weird as I thought that her team would have plenty of ways to cover the obvious weakness to electric, but nope)
