  1. Pardon my lack of know-how in regards to the specific quotations. A re-arrangement doesn't seem too far off considering the base stats and legend. (I made a mistake earlier saying a Lancer's base strength is C, it's actually B from what I'm reading on the Wiki). A Lancer's base retainer stats are Strength B/ Endurance C/ Agility A. Diarmuid Ua Duibhne has those exact same stats except Agility as A+ while also not having any kind of divine aspects. Having Celtchar with Strength A/ Endurance B/ and Agility C reflects Lancer's base retainer stats while also giving homage to his prowess. The reason Celtchar's personal skill is Heat Resistance is because of exactly his weapon. Fighting battle after battle with a weapon that continuously grows in heat, I feel it would logically begin to create a resistance through repeated exposure. The penalty is there to somewhat replicate that aspect. Celtchar being the only one being able to wield it as any other man simply passed out of heat exhaustion (or inability to lift Luin). I could make it that he can simply wield it for fifteen posts or his life comes into risk, or consciousness, but I feel the "lose a rank of endurance every five posts" reflects the toll it takes on the user. The risk, you could say. The greater the power it offers, the heavier the cost, lowering his Endurance the further he powers up. Risk reward. I come from a RP community where post limits are mandatory for nearly everything, but I do feel that it applies here as well in this specific instance. I'll label it as D to EX depending on the charge and state the rank when required. Grumble grumble it's on the Wiki and Fate/ Extra's canon can be nitpicked plus I need it to be less noob grumble grumble... Just seems to fit. If I want to play my own violin (or rather Celtchar's) I would puff out my chest and say that I think it can kill a Servant if they decide to put their head in or drink it. And no, it cannot be applied to the invisible tip. I mean, ranking it EX and having a second Noble Phantasm that ranks D and gains rank with time doesn't seem too severe. But, as Fate/ tends to bend history in order for it to work, I'm not against changing the aspects of the poison and/or how it works. It won't exactly break the character, so.
  2. I posted Lancer how he is for exactly this kind of critique. How does A/B/C sound? I set his Strength at A due to his legend. A normal Lancer has C Strength and A Agi, yet from the legend, Luin (the lance) is described as being so heavy and massive it took a team of oxen to lift. Also, Celtchar was never described as slow or lunking and was rather famous for his ability to wield Luin, and actually quite efficiently. Wielding a lance that heavy with particular ease I believe was standard for A Strength, yet considering the weight, I lowered his Agi one rank. If you're still skeptical, a heroic spirit's parameters are affected by their fame and legend if I recall correctly. Although if it were lowered to A/B/C, the condition for Luin might be removed, being the "lose one rank of Endurance every five of the user's posts if the lance remains ignited". The lance itself takes a toll on the user after a while considering it will infinitely gain power through flame. I ranked the initial NP A+ due to its basic principle since it's more or less a flaming nuke stick. It's awesome, just not very diverse. The power growth maxes with the user's capabilities. With both Endurance A and Heat Resistance A, that already insinuates a tremendous amount of power that continuously grows. I had originally planned to label it as D to EX depending on the charge, in which I would definitely compare it to GoB or Ionian Hetairoi when highly charged but that felt like it would confuse people. I can agree that Battle Continuation at an A can be lowered to a C. Magic Resistance I feel is comfortable at D, however. Celtchar's vat of poison was regarded as the devil's own piss (or blood depending on which story you prefer) in where anything that came in contact was disintegrated, man, magic, or steel. It was so powerful it was the only force that could extinguish Luin once lit, and kept it in check. Ionian Hetairoi and GoB are EX considering their variability, capability, and parameters. I would like to say the poison itself stands on par but it lacks overall variability and capability. Its utilization is sub-par. I don't particularly mind either way what it is ranked, so I'll ask what you guys think?
  3. Celtchar's title in life was the "Terrible Hero" as everything heroic he performed was brutal and harsh. He saved a king by impaling nine men with one lance throw, he crucified a demon through it's feet with broadswords. He shoved his hand down a monster's throat and ripped its heart out. But yeah, he's actually a pretty nice guy.
  4. It's interesting if not sprawled out. There's a page on a Wiki about his death and the three menaces but I found more info on books and little inserts on pages. It took a while just because a decent Lancer was hard to find and when I did, I kept finding more and more information just when I thought I was done.
  5. I'm just going to go with you on that. I mean. The poison itself is easily above A rank, yet remains D due to its actual use of a fire extinguisher. But your point stands. Either way, Lancer feels like a solid Servant to me and I'm happy with how he turned out.
  6. My mistake. Wasn't paying attention to it. But anyways, hopefully Lancer stands par well. I'm trying to embrace the whole underdog Servant class mojo.
  7. 3. Radomus Same reasons as most. Amusing, clever, impactful, beast, knowledgable. I hate Doubles. I just hate Doubles. I can only play Singles. Plus how my creed demands no EV training, no perfect natures (mainly only neutral natures) and only five Pokemon (sixth being Bibarel) the entire game, I loathe Doubles as my team is purely meant for Singles. However, I absolutely loved the Gym battle with Radomus. It was entertaining, engaging, and all around impactful. The Gardevoir 1v1 was awesome. But more so, Radomus is the character I closest relate to in terms of raw personality. 2. El In my manner of view, favourite and like don't fully coincide. I think El is a wonderful character. I loved the way he played the game while also making a deep impression. I mean, he hasn't exactly done anything amazing (yet), and his full capabilities seem rather bleak, but I think that's simply a curtain which will come falling down. One of the biggest factors within El is potential. Potential to really make a forceful impact on the story and become one hell of a butl- bad guy. My character for the Fate/ Full Moon role play is even a combination of Kirie Kotomine, El, and Hallelujah Haptism. 1. Shade Shade. What to say about Shade. We haven't exactly seen or heard much about Shade other than the initial encounters. However, I always seem to find Shade at the top of my list whenever I think about who my favourites are. I feel as though Shade is a dark horse character who has yet to show the full extent of his meaning. After the instance with Corey, and then his Gym, I felt aghast at the character I first heard described as nice. It haunted me for a while but what I really enjoyed was presentation of Shade, and how much potential I see he has as a character. Kind of the same reasons as El but more so. Also, Shade was the first Gym I ever had to grind to beat. I felt like I didn't have a ghost of a chance at first, with how much damage that Chandy did to my team. However, after I finally beat him, the whole experience kind of raised my spirits at my enjoyment of this game. Honourable Mentions Kiki - great dialogue, awesome concept Fern - realistic, genuine douche Cain - amusing, bad ass Hardy - cool cat, solid morals Charlotte - impressionable, heated personality But yeah, I like characters who make not just a heavy impression on me, but other characters within the game.
  8. Oh. Lancer's finished, I just need to finish my PC. I've been gone the last few days driving back to California but everything's basically done. I'll post it all after work today in like. Nine-ish hours.
  9. Am I cool now?

      Hell yeah you are.

  10. Lancer is finished and I'll have my PC up by today. And damn, I was really looking forward to that Saber/Berserker/Lancer group. Thing of beauty, that team. But it's funny how we had an influx of MA characters and now people are more than happy to offer their spot.
  11. Hope my Lancer stands up to par against the other Servants.

Lol I'm kidding. Lancer isn't lu Bu or Wukong. I mean, I was tempted because I main Wu Top but...

    4. Raindrop Valkyrie

      Raindrop Valkyrie

Oh wow a Wu top, nice lol. I haven't seen one of those in LoL for like ever now.

  12. Or. You know. Lancer. Does something awesome. NumbersignUnderdog.
  13. Lol F/Z Assassin Now you've got me thinking of it like it's a LoL game haha. Considering the Grail's special circumstances, I guess it wouldn't be too off the beaten path to allow more than 7 Servants, while not having to operate with multiples of seven. Only in the case of someone else wanting to join. I haven't counted all those who posted interest in the first topic, but it's a plausible concept. It might be a little jumbled considering the Classes DO operate in multiples of seven, but stranger things have happened in regards to the Holy Grail. I mean, the system of magic isn't too hard to grasp for a basic understanding, but I guess it depends on if someone really wants in.
  14. I'd like to have a spot in the MA if they aren't all taken. It kinda fits with the character I'm making.
  15. On a mission bringing real life to superstition.
  16. Zed forgot to take Ignite since he said he played Top last game, and Ashe was fine. A little too passive, though. Probably why she took Heal. Jarvan and Xin were Bot lane and kind of killed their early game since they were too aggro early on and didn't focus on watching the Jung. It was just overall a weird game.
  17. As mentioned. This is why you always bring Braum!
  18. In regards to Heracles and Lancelot, I simply prefer Lancelot as a character. It's heavily debated which could defeat who with no solid standing, even with equal masters. Berserker is my favourite Class in general. I suggested the ratio of weak to strong and strong to weak in regards to Masters and Servants just to make things a little more fair while also enabling the chance at using your canon favourites. You can be a very efficient Master such as Kiritsugu while at the same time being a horrid source of power. Case and point being Shirou outside of plot armour.
  19. *Potential Spoilers. So...* In regards to certain Servants being far too over powered, Fate/ has intentionally created a way to shovel away too much excess power from Servants such as Karna and Gilgamesh (Lancelot > Heracles). This can also apply to this RP. Masters have their own set of specific standards in which you can be a high quality master such as Tohsaka Rin, or a poor quality Master such as Matou Kariya. If your Servant is Gilgamesh, then your qualities of a Master are poor. A Servant can only draw as much power as the Master can provide. We've seen many powerful and not-so-powerful Servants that have been crippled or held high by their Master's own capabilities, with a few exceptions. But in general, the same standards should apply here. In the anime, those who are conscious of their role in the war find a specific Heroic Spirit they wish to command. So the choice of your Servant should be viable. Also, in regards to choosing a Servant never seen in the Fate/ series, you simply explain their passive powers (Arturia's ability to walk on water), as well as their Noble Phantasm(s) (up to say, two but with an obvious limitation. F/Z Lancer had two which "counted as one" but not really, since it was a part of the same magic, wheres Gilgamesh had straight up three, with access to infinity. Also, one thing to keep in mind is the Heroic Spirits range from a vast range. From Jack the Ripper (who was actually just a little girl who wanted her mommy) to Alexander the Great (Al Izkandar).
  20. As a huge fan of both Type-MOON (mainly Fate/ Zero) and an avid role player, I would like to see this happen. Since you're still doing research, I know quite a bit about the world of Fate/ so I would absolutely love to be of any assistance.
  21. I didn't start playing until the... I'm not sure if this means anything to you, but the release of Super Galaxy Rumble skin but played nothing Bot games until Lv. 26 or so, which was a little over three months ago so I've only known her as what she is now. My last few games have been by maxing Q then W and it's been noticeably more successful. Also, I took your previous advice on Rylai's and Lich Bane and just a few minutes ago finished the match with a solid win. I mean, I don't think I can really use this as en example of success considering their team's lineup was weird. Jinx Mid, duo Top. ADC with Heal and Support with Ignite... I mean, despite the Yi. Anyways, it worked wonders.
  22. I had thought about Rylai's considering it seems to be a very prevalent item built on skill shot Champions including Vel'Koz and the occasional Xerath. But I never realized each individual Foxfire would proc it. Nifty. Also, nearly everyone who has (very kindly and I very much appreciate it) given their advice of piece has been a "former Ahri main". So. I'm unsure if that's in regard to her history of nerfs or if the bandwagon got too full and broke down. Also, something I've had some confusion about is, most of the guides I've read tell me one of two things, being max Q first and E next, or max Q first and W next. Ahri's an amazing Champion I've loved before I even knew what League of Legends was (concept art changes lives), so any nudge in the right direction is highly appreciated.
  23. I'll take your advice gladly. Ahri has been my favourite Champion since I started League, but the Mid lane intimidation factor has kept me away. I tried Liandry's just as an experiment and suggestion from Karma. The game following I was against a Zed and felt going into Zhonya's early. But any other parental guidance for heavy hitter Mids like Yasuo and Zed?
