  2. Lancer's eyes flared out for just a moment. The force put into that swing was monstrous and having stopped it proved this man was much more powerful than Lancer had initially believed. However, that only served to fuel the fire. Lancer yanked his weapon backwards as the Prince attacked, taking a jab to the shoulder and another to the arm. The pokes were small against Lancer's durable body but they still bled, and Lancer began to wonder about his opponent. "The scrimmage will go nowhere fast as long as we keep our cards in our sleeves, but I do not feel as though my life is in any hard danger as long as he has chosen to fight me in melee combat. It seems to be more my calling than his". As a Lancer class Servant, Lancer had a large advantage over some of the other classes in melee combat. "In order to find out the specifics of this fellow, I will push him to make a decision". Lancer gripped his lance hard and threw it back, using the momentum to pacing his steps backwards. He stabbed the tip of his lance towards Arjuna's feet, causing a shower of sparks before calling his Lance's flames, forcing a large jettison flame from the tip in a cloud inferno inches away from his opponent. Lancer knew the flames would not cause any mortal wounds, yet dodging at such a close range might prove difficult. As Lancer moved, he could feel the little wounds heal with help from his Master. "The flames of my lance will dance around you if you get too close. So many battles have past where the quick and agile attempt to slither through my reach, yet Luin will deny them every time". Even as they seared forward, the flames of Luin grew even stronger still.
  3. Just a heads up I'm going to be babysitting for a while so expect my post later tonight, Sheep.
  4. I understood it as Archer rushed past Lancer, using a flick of his sword to prevent Lancer from attacking directly as he went past him, then went back in. So after he went past Lancer and came back, Lancer ducked low and swung the lance at Archer's feet. I guess saying "as his opponent raced past him" was a little misleading since I also didn't follow through. My bad, I'll edit.
  5. Lancer's eyes and body followed his opponent. He had faced opponents far faster than himself before, and those with much better sword arms. However, Lancer was no fool to simply assume there were no more tricks in the bag. After his opponent raced past him and engaged again, Lancer ducked low, swinging his titanic, ten foot lance in a sweeping circle. His opponent was close, moving backwards to avoid the attack would be almost ensuring losing your legs, yet Lancer realized his opponent might very well jump above him. The flames covering the lance seemed to dance as the lance moves, almost with a mind of their own. Even as Lancer fought, the flames grew stronger.
  6. I am cursed with never being able to find a decent picture to depict any of my RP characters =--=

Same here, but I guess you can't win them all, haha.

  7. First reference is Fire Emblem - Awakening being Owain and his glorious Sword Hand, second is from Fairy Tail being Bacchus (which has gone incredibly downhill and is such a shame. Really crappy anime now) and the last is from a book called the Night Angel Trilogy. I'm really glad you didn't assume I'm just psychopathic.
  8. YES. My sword hand... Hungers! My soul quivers! My pulse races at the thought of seeing yours stop!
  9. Lancer's eyes narrowed into a piercing stare. He could feel his own blood lust rising immensely. Just as his opponent jettisoned towards him, Lancer threw himself backwards and thrust his arm forward. Within an instant, an absolutely massive lance which dwarfed the even the towering Lancer appeared in his hand, covered by dozens of steel rivets. Alongside this, the lance was covered in a coat of hazy fire. He gripped the lance closer to the tip to make up for the close quarters. Lancer thrust his behemoth lance at the torso of his opponent in a strike that could be deemed impossibly fast for such a gargantuan weapon. Considering the size of the lance, going beneath it was impossible. Lancer had purposely baited his opponent. First by angering him, and then by forcing his hand to be the first strike. The size and speed of thrusting Luin might take him by surprise. Alongside this, when Lancer thrust his lance, three feet of invisible blade would sprout from the tip.
  10. Mmkay. I never really thought being summoned as Archer lowered your skill in melee combat after what we saw with Gil and F/SN Archer. Gil took on Proto-Saber pretty handily and well, F/SN Archer held up against Cu. Also, I took the liberty of adding a mannerism to Lancer to kind of embrace how Fate/ often "reveals" aspects of historical characters we didn't really know, so the garlic thing is just there to be there.
  11. Lancer pushed off the venom spat at him with a literal gesture of waving it way. "You have my apologies, prince. History often confuses truth with matters of honor. I was defeated by a ruling empire, and they often say the victor writes history. In Rome, a general is as he is a knight, he simply yells much more often. However, you do surprise me. For such a composed fellow, your words grew empty and poisonous rather swiftly. You say you are not bound by the code of chivalry yet you take it rather seriously. This is a war, prince. I fight a war with honour, but there is honour in many things, including the venom of man. I had to see if the enemy before me was competent enough to create a consideration through my words. I am no fool, and I will not let chivalry be the death of me before my promise is kept". Lancer kept his stance, yet took the time to reach into his back pocket. He opened a small pouch containing garlic cloves, then popped one into his mouth. Lancer visibly relaxed yet kept his bearings. "So, I can only hope you will understand my need to test you. However, lest you forget, I did not come here to fight you, you came here to fight me".
  12. Wasn't is stated somewhere that a serious Gilgamesh could have ended the Grail Wars in one night? I swear I read that somewhere. Also, I know this has nothing to do with anything but it's bugging me to say it, being that Hels' last name "Kurgis" is pronounced "Krujis". The name originates from the middle east... Originally, I was going to pick Saber, being Fergus Mac Roich with Caladbolg. That sword is beast.
  13. I wish I posted earlier to give Lancer and Saber more time to have at it, dammit. But yeah, take your time getting there ._.
  14. Lancer let loose a sigh, quiet enough to where Hels barely heard him. He shook his head. "You claim to hold respect, yet the words you speak demand otherwise. I had hoped I would have the pleasure of doing battle with a man or woman of honour". Lancer took a stance, placing his body sideways with one hand behind him as if holding a sword behind him, the other hand outstretched. "You wish for blood, yet let me show one more attempt at respectful peace. My name is Flavius Aetius of Rome, and I now ask your name". Hels barely hid his shock. It was a beautiful lie. Flavius was a Roman general, of which wielding a sword, lance, and dagger were common practice. In one line, Lancer managed to slip past two barricades, being revealing his name and his Class, while also managing to stop his enemy from predicting his Class. Alongside this, he met the requirements his opponent demanded for revealing his own name. With this, Hels might be able to predict who his opponent was. It was a good turn of events that Lancer was so bland in his speech, so the lie sounded like every other sentence he spoke. "If you still require blood, I will meet you. However, in this case, I have a question. What will it be? Sword, spear, or knife?".
  15. A man appeared before Hels and company with a rather blasé attitude, yet the magnitude of the situation immediately fell upon Hels. Lancer, however, appeared un-phased. Hels took a small step forward. "Rather brazen of you to drop by unannounced this way. I regret to inform you that my company and I are currently involved in some rather pressing matters". Hels was frantically scanning the area. His mind felt fuzzy. He was sure this magic field had something to do with this haze in his mind. Attempting to ignore the feeling, Hels looked for potential hiding spots a person could stow themselves in. "However, I understand you have your own matters and we can respect that. Instead of trying to kill each other, might we not discuss how both of our goals tonight might be met?". He knew there would be no words, he did not expect any form of actual intelligence or cunning from the man before them. However, in terms of raw power, it was obvious what this man was. Hels was glad he made the choice of keeping Lancer at his side. In actuality, Hels was attempting to buy time for Lancer to prepare himself. For all they knew, this man could be any one of Berserker, Archer, Rider. Rider could be expected to pose little threat, while Archer could vary in degree of power from one end of the chart to the other. Berserker, however, would serve as an obvious problem. His eyes turned to Saber's Master. With Saber gone, he was virtually useless. In good tiding to their alliance, which Hels felt he was the only one abiding by, he would protect Saber's master until Saber's return. Hels opened his mouth to speak once more but a large, gloved hand was placed in front of him. Lancer stepped forward. In a tone of seriousness foreign to Hels, Lancer spoke. "You make groundless demands yet offer no scale to balance them. By a knight's code of honour, I ask you. What is your name? If you reveal to me your name, I will be obligated to reveal my own. As for my Master, the right to that information is not with me, nor you". Lancer brought up his hand and started rubbing his neck, his tone then returning to the flat gray it was before. "Or I don't suppose we might settle this with a drink? I'd really avoid pointless petty squabbles. If you'll excuse me, I'd like to believe a respectable man makes his presence known tonight".
  16. Anyone else going to a midnight release for ORAS? I'm so hyped. I always meet the coolest nerds at midnight releases.

  17. Sheep, can you gimme a bit to reply to Archer? I just walked into Calc class and it'll be a little while.
  18. Hels nodded. It was odd, but he was beginning to feel that this child's heart might be a bit brighter than his darkened eyes allowed to show. In all honesty, Hels had heavily debated having Lancer impale the man the moment he turned his back and escape the Mage's association. However, that would cause a number of problems this early in the war. Was this the feeling of potential trust? Hels had his doubts. A clever actor is more often than not a good one. Regardless, Hels was curious. He silently asked for forgiveness. The young priest gestured to Lancer to stand and began to follow Saber's master.
  19. Gods it hurt to just cut into a fight with that post. I guess I just imagined it like. Fight began, begin to test waters, commercial break, scene pans out to outside the field, Hels arrives, continue fighting.
  20. It was only seconds after Saber's master left did Hels follow out the door. He had taken time to send a blessing to God, and as they walked behind Saber's Master, to discuss some rather important matters with Lancer. Specifically, Lancer's abilities. After that short, hushed conversation, Hels exited the abode and began his way to the designated location with Lancer by his side, openly wishing Lancer would grow a personality to match his height. Upon reaching the sidewalk where Saber's master stood, Hels greeted the him with a nod. Lancer was stoic. "So Saber has entered the fray already? While Assassin and his master tend to their own duties, Lancer will stand with us here until Caster has been corralled. I would send Lancer around the perimeter alone, but I'm not too fond of such open risks. Lancer, keep us company if you will". Lancer grunted in affirmation. "Is that a command?" He asked but Hels didn't reply. Instead, he placed his hands into the pockets of his garbs, arming himself.
  21. Hels left about a little less than a minute after Siegfried and walked behind him after a very short convo with Lancer (about to post this now) and came up to him moments after Saber left.
  22. I'm paying attention to both posts religiously. I haven't found anything to do yet, so I'll work off of what happens next. Hels is just outside the field with a materialized Lancer atm.
  23. Oh, I don't know who that is but I see what happened there. Thanks. But anyways. My plea still stands. Any dashing princes/princesses willing to save me from my tower of ineptitude?
  24. I feel like that's some sort of joke that completely flew over my head.
