  1. This. Stealth Rock is handy against Leaders with a type weak to Rock. And Onix with Sturdy is a perfect suicide lead to pull this off. Against Shelly, I set up Stealth Rock then set the field on fire with Numel and Vulpix. She never stood a chance . . .
  2. Seconded. The Unown give 1 Sp.Atk. and 1 Atk EV each. Not the best for Kirla unless you plan to make it a Gallade.
  3. Emolga: I found mine on a Windy Day at night in the tree across from the Pokemon Center in Jasper Ward. It can be hard to spot: More info: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=11906 http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13417entry304709 Scraggy: You need the Dull Key from the Underground Railnet (if you didn't get it before Cain escaped, you can't get it now) to open a door in the Obsidia Slums that leads to a place called "Pancham's Playground" where you can get a Scaggy after defeating several Pangoros. Rough fights, but totally worth it! http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13875 http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13417entry308929 Kiki's field effect (Ashen Beach) also strengthens the move "Psychic," so higher-level Psychic-types can be very useful in this fight. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/game/fields.html Hope this helps!
  4. I posted info about the team I used to beat Kiki here. I don't use healing items in battle. http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13960entry319513 As Imperial said above me, a lot of us weren't all that good when we started playing Reborn. I wasn't, and I'm still not all that good . . . Reborn makes us learn and makes us into tigers . . .
  5. Florina taught me to respect this game. Shelly was so easy for me I actually felt bad beating her . . . Maybe you shouldn't be able to set Shelly's field on fire . . . Just maybe . . .
  6. Did you swap in the sound files from my fix? It shouldn't crash if you did . . . Also, make sure you are using the 1.7.37 development version of Wine. The 1.6.1 Stable version has issues . . . @Chubb the Pig My sound fix contains a new version of the Jingle - HMTM.mid file that works properly and no longer crashes the game on Macs. They work fine on Windows and Linux too, so Amethyst added them to Pokemon Reborn in version 14.6. The reason the crash (sometimes) occurs is that OS X removed native support for MIDI files in 10.7, but Wine has never properly accounted for this. I re-encoded the mid files as MP3s, which work file on all operating systems. The are still named with ".mid" though, otherwise the game won't read them.
  7. Welcome! Let me know if you have any other questions about getting Reborn/Rejuvenation to run on a Mac!
  8. I don't even bother with WineSkin anymore. I just use Wine from here to open the exe directly: http://winebottler.kronenberg.org When you download WineBottler from the that link, just use Wine.app. You don't really need WineBottler itself. RPGMaker games like Pokemon Reborn and Rejuvenation run fine in a default Wine setup without any special files or anything . . . I also made a Sound Fix Pack for Macs so you don't have to remove any files: http://wikisend.com/download/309112/Mac%20Sound%20Fix.zip You will need to copy the save files from your PC and put them in the correct location in the Wine Files directory on your Mac. The saves are located at C:\Users\$YOURNAME\Saved Games\Pokemon Rejuvenation on your PC.
  9. Kricketune and Trubbish saved me more often than I'd like to admit in the early game . . . Emolga has also been good, but I kinda expected it to be good since it has good typing and a decent movepool. It's just too bad it doesn't evolve . . . Of course, if it did, I'm sure Ame wouldn't give it to us so early . . .
  10. I don't have any advice for Noel since I'm not there yet, but I will post my Kiki team in case anyone comes to this post looking for help with Kiki: I beat Kiki with: Banette: Will-o-Wisp Machamp and then pound on him to get Kiki to use up her potions early. After it dies, switch in: Emolga: Acrobatics is amazing! Takes care of Machamp, Gallade, and Toxicroak! It will be killed by Medicham or Lucario though and Hitmonlee is tough . . . Luxray: Intimidate is essential to keeping Medicham under control. Try to inflict paralysis, but if you can't quite kill it: Ampharos: Thunder Wave + Static will work. Confuse Ray doesn't work due to the field effect. Ampharos should be able to take care of Medicham. Gothitelle: Takes care of Hitmonlee, but will die to Lucario, so . . . Scraggy: Switching in after Gothitelle will ensure that Scraggy gets hit with Dark Pulse, which it will resist, so you can get a solid Brick Break in. One more and/or any damage from Gothitelle should help you win . . . I equipped everyone except Emolga (Need Acrobatics!) with Metronomes. That really helped. I beat Kiki several times with this team. I was trying to find a 100% way to win, but I couldn't . . . This team's win rate is about 75-80%. I did it without using items, and there are two major ways it can go wrong: 1. Machamp crits Banette more than one time, killing it and forcing Emolga out early and leaving potions for Gallade and/or Toxicroak. Gallade then has a solid chance to use Rock Slide. If it crits, Emolga dies, forcing me to rely on Scraggy and Gothitelle for Gallade and Toxicroak. Gothitelle gets poisoned and dies before being able to take care Hitmonlee. I lose. 2. Medicham spams Meditate, undoing Intimidate. This forces a switch to get Intimidate to go off again, wasting HP to his hits. I often lose.
  11. IMHO, the Grass starters are generally not that good in Reborn, but Turwig is pretty good and Bulbasaur has helpful typing for the early game . . . Edit: My Bad. I didn't realize that you were talking about Rejuvenation and not Reborn . . . Ironically, it seems like the same holds true . . .
  12. I don't think I'm even up to this "Madame X" yet, but I have already made it my personal mission to find a way to defeat her . . .
  13. I picked Mudkip, and it's great against Julia but then it stinks in the Grass-heavy parts of the game until you get to Corey. You can get Mudkip later in the game though, something I didn't know at the time I picked it . . . For that reason, I'd recommend against Mudkip now. Fire starters are clearly the best, especially since Vulpix is going to be moved in E15. I might try Fennekin if I do another run . . .
  14. Yes. It does have Fire Fang in the latest version (14.6). I fought it enough times to know . . . I finally did win though with my Cofagrius (Mummy gets rid of Rough Skin so FEAR can work; Add an Air Balloon for good measure), Donphan (Bred so that it would have Sturdy, Endeavor, and Ice Shard; No need to waste a Focus Sash), and Magneton (Sturdy and Flash Cannon. Also had an Air Balloon). I can win pretty much every time with this method with no non-hold items used in battle. Sometimes I might need one more Pokemon with Sturdy (Golem) or a Pokemon with Intimidate (Luxray). Sometimes I get really lucky, and I can get Curse off with Cofagrius too . . . Some people might think FEAR is cheap, but I say a level 75 Garchomp is already cheap enough . . . http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Appendix:F.E.A.R. I just got to the Wasteland too! Your guide has been really helpful! Thanks!
  15. Finally Beat Garchomp without the Focus Sash! ^_^

I'd better waste a FS that two Ability capsules for Prankster M. Meowstic to Charm his teeth out.

    3. krim

      krim

I did that, but with prankster sand attack liepard in my mono dark run. Can't kill what you can't hit

I did it with a Cofagrigus (Put an Air Balloon on it), Donphan (Sturdy, Endeavor, Ice Shard), and Magneton (Sturdy, Air Balloon, Flash Cannon)! ^_^

  16. It opens a door in the Obsidia Slums (that complex you went through to get to the Coral Ward) that lets you get to an event where you can get Scraggy!
  17. I read it needed to be Windy, but I'll check again the next time it's Sunny for me. It was not there on a Normal Day when I played yesterday. The wind ended during the day, so I got to check both Normal and Windy conditions.
  18. Okay. I presumed so since the topics I read that on were kinda old, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. Thanks!
  19. I read somewhere that Cottonee is supposed to appear in North Obsidia Ward on windy days. Is this still true as of E14.6 or was Cottonee moved? Thanks!
  20. It is possible to port the RPGMakerXP engine to mobile since it really is just a modified form of Ruby. Pokemon Essentials, however, uses Windows system calls and, in order to be compatible with other OSes, those will have to be replaced with non-OS specific code.
  21. Thank for this! I've been wondering where the others were . . . I can go the Wasteland now, so I'll see if I can find it.
  22. Thanks! I might try Intimidate + Will-O-Wisp too. My use of Luxray was full of fail in that battle . . . I play on Set, so I don't get a pre-switch either.
  23. Actually, no, I didn't realize that until I read that on the forums. I really did think I had to win at first . . . I wouldn't put it past this game! Pretty much this is why I'm doing it now! Even better if I don't need the Focus Sash so I still have it for later "unwinnable" battles. Also, it's level 75, not level 70 . . . Edit: FYI to all, I was able to beat Garchomp with a Cofagrigus (Put an Air Balloon on it), Donphan (Sturdy, Endeavor, Ice Shard), and Magneton (Sturdy, Air Balloon).
  24. Killing Garchomp . . .

That's why Yawn+Protect, so you can heal up the first sleep turn. Then, endeavour while he still sleeps. When Solaris uses his full restore the next turn, simply use Yawn again, next turn protect, then endeavour, and so on...

      ReddestDream

Well, you can get Rough Skin out of the way with Yamask/Cofagrigus using Mummify. That's what I did. Chomp makes contact unless he uses Earthquake, so . . .

      ReddestDream

FYI, I got it to work with Cofagrigus (Air Balloon to avoid Earthquake), Donphan (Sturdy, Endeavor, Ice Shard, and Magneton (Sturdy, Air Ballon, Flash Cannon)! ^_^

  25. I didn't have anyone with Leech Seed or Prankster, so I employed FEAR: I posted my method here: http://www.pokemonreborn.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13680entry309000 This method does not requires the use of any healing items in battle either . . .
