So I'm walking through the first area. (Opal Ward?) and I'm noticing there are manhole covers. Idk if I've just been oblivious the past few months but those are new right? Tell me I'm not crazy... Please?

Turtwig, Mudkip, Drillbur, anything under the grand stairway. That's all I know in the case of early game. Overall there are a ton of ground types making that mono pretty easy.

I chose Kuro cause I'm black, not racist just my thing to play as black chars since I don't see many in video games and next to never as protagonist. If you're taking requests, a black haired black guy would be neat.

I'm not saying Solaris is a nice guy or even a good guy. I think if we were to play Reborn from his perspective he'd be the anti-hero. Meteor as a whole is better than any team that goes without question. I mean their execs are Sigmund, Taka, Corey and eyepatch guy (drawing a blank sorry) They are all well thought out and strong characters both on and off the battlefield. This lineup just kicks the asses of any evil team seen in past games.

I still don't believe that Solaris is evil. He says himself that his intention isn't making people suffer. In fact every time he goes to battle he tries to end fights quickly possibly even painlessly. He notes that Reborn sits on top of something which may be dangerous to stay on. Let's face it, if he had setup like a Golem to a pulse while everyone was messing around in Opal ward and had it self destruct he could of taken out Reborn. Before the attack on their hq in Tanzan he had the force to do multiple tasks. I think he is trying to save lives and possibly just going about it in what he believes the quickest and best way. Lin on the other hand is a nut job and needs to be put down. P.S maybe I'm wrong and Solaris is just a prick. idk

I'm going to pick up Misdreveus this playthrough since I've never had a ghost type in my playthroughs of this game.

Nice to see ghost love around here since I don't usually hear about ghosts unless its Gengar or Aegislash. I can definitely say Emolga has saved my life and everyone else who has had the pleasure of using it.

~I'm assuming you're referring to Reborn and not the main series games since this thread is under Reborn City? A little bit of both but mainly Reborn as maybe I'll try out that partner one day. But man so much rotation don't you have one poke you can't do without? Flynn those are all good choices minus Cofagrigus. Not because of disdain or anything like that, I just never seen him in action but he looks like a solid teammate. I'll try em out.

So in any version of pokemon I've played I've always had a partner to roll with. Partner in case you weren't sure is not the starter but a side goon. Your pok-e's hom-ie. You need one and they need one. In silver Ledian, Sapphire Mightyena, drawing a blank on diamond, in white I had Stoutland and in X I rolled with my favorite side goon Aegislash who kept surprising me with evolutions and abilities. (Also had torchic rolling with me which was coo) So in this game due to not great pokes available in the beginning I've had a hard time picking a faithful teammate that was not already part of a major character's squad but every time I switched it up since the passing of the 2nd best partner Gyrados. Anywho was wondering who everyone else decided to run with as second fiddle.

Mannnnn @$#% these water fields. How you gonna take away Gyrados and Lanturn then send us underwater, that's some first class shenanigans. Real note, these fields seem a tad OP in favor of gym leaders. I mean unless you're rolling with more than one water type or electric special attacker these fields might make you feel like less of a person. Well Yolo so good luck to my Blaziken/Charizard starters like myself.

Noel.... fuck him and his normal team. Never really had problems early game with Taka or Zel unless I chose a non-fire type. Then this whole game gets a tad frustrating. Looking at you Greninja. (Still an op poke after first gyms)

I think its wayyy to early for legendaries. Seeing as how most games don't give you one till at least the final gym. Would be nice if she brought back Lucario though.

3. Solaris- He's only appeared three times and all times he establishes himself so well. He is dangerous and strong but the scariest part is that until we know more about his end game he may not even be wrong. Also anyone that can steamroll a main character in a 6 on 1 match is pretty tough to not love. 2. Tied (yeah I'm one of those) Saphira and Corey. Both are strong to a fault and have clearly given up a lot to protect what they cared about. Where Saphira succeeded in saving her sisters on what can be assumed to be multiple occasions Corey clearly failed to keep his daughter on the right path. Seeing how different one's life can proceed based on keeping people safe is actually pretty powerful and in a few ways they are 2 sides of the same coin. 1. (don't stab and or shoot me) Fern- Why him even though all he does is draw our hate. Well before reading through everyone's picks I was going to say Cain but I noticed that Fern draws a lot more emotion not just from everyone else but from me too. I hate him, I hate him with more passion than anything I can hate but it is because he knows how to press buttons so well that I can say that in a hateful way I really like this character. He's made himself a favorite in a different way and I can say that it just wouldn't be as satisfying to beat your rival into the ground if they didn't make you want to like this butt hole does.

Ummmm so I'm battling Noel with honor and disciprin and I notice that his Clefable is fast which is whatever but for curiosity i check its base stat and his speed is pathetic. He's like outspeeding my magneton who isn't a speedster either but he's way faster that clefable who isn't even normal so I call shenanigans! (I know clefable was voted to stay) but seriously what's the deal?

This is kind of assuming but it looks like Luxray is your toughest guy here next to Tauros. Also not a lot of type coverage. I tried a team with no fighting type in it a couple playthroughs ago, I made it to Charlotte before my comp crashed but it wasn't a pleasant drive. Hariyama isn't the best type since his awful defense makes him a rather poor tank if fighting something that fighting isn't strong against. You could get Sraggy whose defense and typing are pretty nice, his movepool is decent and that could replace Liepard. If you want to keep Tauros (I don't know enough about his uses to say yay or nay) then change his ability to Intimidate or Sheer Force. Get rid of Simipour (imho any pokemon with less than 500 bst is useless in Reborn) You can replace it with Swampert who has a decent movepool and only one weakness in the not so common Grass type. (Mudkip is found in Byxbision, Rainy day to talk to nerd on stairs, Sunny day to find him in Tauros ride section. Must have all pokemon faint while riding Tauros or have Teleport both require use of Byxbision heal center) Or you can use Piplup which can be gotten from 7th street who becomes Empoleon who has a less than great movepool but only weak to fighting and ground. There's my two cents feel free to use or toss in the swear jar and good luck.

I think Bulbasaur was replaced by Chickorita. Also if you get a flying type name it Birdemic in honor of the greatest movie.... hahahahaha of all time hahahaha.

It's either Absol or Gardevoir. Absol because he's the first poke any newcomer will see upon entering the site and the game or Gardevoir because she's the only talking pokemon and a reoccurring character in the game. I think Ark called it when saying most are going to say Absol.

So I read the forums and did a search but I can't find out what I'm doing wrong. I got Growlithe and I tried trading him for Azuril but the police officer just says you got a growlith and I didn't wahhh wahh wahh. He wont trade. (I'm right before fighting Taka/ZEL) if that helps. Edit: Solved this one quickly. Walked outside and back in and boom people talk to me.

Yeah I've noticed Reborn is pretty physical heavy so I'd like some specials in there to make boss battles a little less painful.
