  1. Oh man... Cain is the MAN with all his references... I burst out laughing when the "Senpai"-thing came up I think I need to take a few screenshots in my next play through, for which I don't have time right now (finals etc.) (patiently waiting for Episode 12, so I can continue my journey...)
  2. Which Level is your Toxicroak? Did it just evolve? It will learn: Nasty Plot (Dark, Status, Sp.Atk +2, 20AP) @lvl 41 Poison Jab (Poison, Physical, 80, 100%, 20AP) @lvl 49 Sludge Bomb (Poison, Special, 90, 100%, 10AP) @lvl 54 Belch (Poison, Special, 120, 90%, 10AP, needs to consume a held berry first) @lvl 58 Flatter (Dark, Status, Enemy Sp.Atk +1 & Confuse, 15AP) @lvl 62 That's all after evolving at level 37... Not counting Egg-Moves and TMs!
  3. I was just talking about a new dunsparce BECAUSE you already got one with a pretty high level. That means when you get Tyrogue it will be the same level, and maybe doesn't learn some moves (except you use valuable Heartscales) Edit: Nevermind, just did a quick check on the levels... Your Dunsparce is lvl 32 and the good moves are yet to come for Hitmonchan (Thunder-, Fire- and Ice-Punches at lvl 36, Sky Uppercut at lvl 41, Power Punch lvl 56...)
  4. Yes he can, by trading a Dunsparce for Tyrogue... but what evolves depends on it's stats. If I recall correctly it needs more defence than attack to become Hitmonchan Maybe catch a new Dunsparce for trade And I think you could get Durant in the grass of Route 1 (careful, they may have Traunt as ability... don't catch one with this piece of c**p of an ability!) And since all slots are full, I think I'll look into some Pokes for Luna... there aren't many options... and wow... we / you are almost finished!
  5. Well... normally I keep my starter for the whole game in every Pokemon game. I just can't get over it to box it... I mean... it is my first Poke-Friend... But the rule of choosing is interesting, since i would possibly always end up choosing Torchic. (I don't care if it's broken... It's just cute and cuddly as hell! )
  6. The only thing that's scary about Noel with Dark types are his Clefables Moonblast and Staraptors Close Combat. (What type were his Hidden Powers again? that's why I HATE Hidden Power that it doesn't have a set type...) With Skuntank (Poison/Dark) both of these become normal effective. Noel cannot use his overpowerd Psychic agains Dark-Types, YAY! But Clefable is still bulky as hell... needs a way to get rid of it... Toxic should help a ton.
  7. Does trading count as an ingame event? (first possible time rule) If NOT: get Cryogonal from the guy in the house in the forest (which got teleportet there from Spinel town) If it counts towards that rule: Infernape (evovle from Chimchar from Gym 1) to have a fast Fighting type against Chincinno, Porygon-Z and Girafarig but beware of their Psychic!
  8. Isn't Aya supposed to appear in Episode 12? In the Teaser Cain said something like: And their mother is busy with the household But I think no one notices that the wasteland could be cleaned, because they gave up on cleaning since everything reappeared constantly. And wehen they still think it wouldn't work, like all the time, why bother?
  9. Two should be enough, I switched my Lanturn for Magneton permanently and had my Sanshrew switched to Aggron for that fight. I used Aggron with Iron Tail, Iron Defence, Automize, Iron Head (pure Steel!!!!) to tank the birds. He tanked Swellow like a boss after 3x Iron defence automize. right before the self inflicted burn killed it, I healed it up to full HP. Staraptor however took it down to 1HP, thanks to sturdy, with only 1 Close Combat (because its double weakness)... I could hit it once thanks to Quick Claw, and sent in Magneton to finish it with Discharge. I don't know how well Escavalier will do, actually I never used one although it is fancy as hell... but somehow never fit into my team...
  10. you find Aron behind the left door of the Railnet (need to adjust the Rails to make it open), and you need to use Headbutt on the long pipe. When you catch it, make sure it has Sturdy! You can buy Quick claws in the Department Store for lousy 300(?) a piece, if you got 2 Stickers. (If you don't have any Stickers, in the room where you find Aron is a boy, behind a destructible Rock *use Rock Smash* speak to him to make him go to the Obsidia Pokecenter, speak to him there again and receive a sticker) Toxicroak is rather... unpleasent even if he is strong... his Fighting/Poison Type make him 4x vulnerable against Psychic(Porygon-Z, Girafarig) and 2x vulnerable against the birds. He could be usefull against Clefable since it's Poison-Type negates the Fairy-weakness from it's Fighting-Type, but he needs a strong Poison Attack like Poisonjab (learned at lvl 49) Magneton with Flash Cannon is great, if you can raise it's special attack even better, because Cosmic Power buffs Clefable up into infinity if you are unlucky... Clefable needs a swift kill or it will literally stall you to death... I got lucky with a crit after it used Cosmic Power 5 times...
  11. I had a lot of trouble with him too, I also made thread to get some help... Clefable knows: Softboiled, Cosmic Power, Hidden Power and Moonblast It also is holding Leftovers sooo it is pretty bulky after a few cosmic Powers and heals two times at the end of the round because of the field and Leftovers... and when in peril it'll get an Hyper Potion or use Softboiled. I would advice you to get a Steel-Type like Magneton and/or Aggron to deal with the birds and Clefable Or get a strong Poison-Attack and/or Toxic for it. you may also want to equip some Quick Claws to your Fighting-Types to get the chance to kill Cinccino and Porygon-Z before they can attack!
  12. Giving us the Option to name Fern something more appropriatly... Give us Hyper Potions / MooMoo Milk at the Nature Center... I mean there are Miltanks there... (that Ice Cream is overpriced as hell and a pain to buy one at a time...) reduce the need of "Rock Smash" later on... for secret/hidden areas it's ok, but Story Progress so 'late' in the game it's just to weak as a move (granted on a technician it might be good...) Just for Luna I needed to relearn this piece of **** more TMs OR useful TMs... some way to keep mining (eventually you will have mined each rock twice with blasting powder...) catching Luvdisc for heartscales is tiring and puts a hole in your wallet for buying all the pokeballs...
  13. The door under the grand staircase most likely leads to the Meteor-Site / where we fought El. when you go south in the cave corridor it leads to something "not cave like" which is most likely the sealed door. And Solaris told us that this door leads to the Power of Reborn (aka the Meteor), when we first got down the Staircase. The other doors, well I would also say Legendary-Pokemons My guesses on the shown doors in the opening post: Wasteland-Gate: ??? (hmmm... no Poison Legendary available, except Poison-Arceus...) Powerplant-/Shades-Gym Gate: Zapdos (he loves Power plants ^^) Graveyard-Gate: Giratina? (as the only Ghost-Legendary near a Graveyard?) Railway-Gate: Registeel Grand Staircase-Gate: Meteor-Site / Arceus and/or Deoxys (he has great connections to meteors) Grand-Staircase Gate 2: Deoxys(?) / Jirachi / Regigigas Tanzan-Mountain-Gate: Regirock / Groudon(?) Pyrous Mountain-Gates (1/2): Moltres / Heatran / Groudon(?) And since we don't have all "X-Doors" yet... My guess would be: Darkrai + Cresselia near the next town in EP.12 (Guards asleep *hint hint*) Arcticuno + Regice + Kyurem(?) on the coming Ice-Mountain (EP13?) Demeteros in the Desert... and well...
  14. Sounds interesting, but incredibly hard because of the level cap and the gyms. (as if the game itself isn't challenging enough) If I were to choose blue as a color, what Pokemons am I able to use in the beginning? My Water-starter, Finneon, Woobat, Panpour... (I can't think of any other blue-Pokemon in the starting area) all of them are weak to electric attacks... and welp... the first gym is an Electro-Gym. Most of the time in Pokemon you can overcome a type-disadvantage with pure level grind, but not in Reborn because of that level cap, once you hit Level 21 they start disobeying and issuing commands becomes pure luck. I guess shinies don't count because it is based on its main-color and not it's actual color, right? (since shinies are more common than in official games)
  15. I never had Problems with any Cradily... well Grass/Rock Type... my Combusken/Blaziken is Fire/Fighting, I guess that's why I didn't have Problems against Corey either and I thought that it was the easiest Gym-Battle up till then... but then comes what made me rage the most up till now (finally beat Noel, yay!) I got denied my Gym Badge... TWICE! I was literelly: WHAT? THE? FUCK? First Corey: "Oh you beat me I guess you should get the Venom-Badge..." *Enter Heather* " "Hey Dad! I'm running away!" Corey: "Ok that's it I have had enough..." *leaves* Me: "What about my badge?" :'( Second Kiki: "You have beaten Cal and me... you should get your Fighting-Badge" *collapses* Victoria: "I'll take care of her, I'll bring you your badge later..." *later* Vicotria: "We should stop Team Meteor together..." Me: "Did you Bring my Badge?" Victoria: "No time for that!" *even later* Victoria: "Kiki is dead... that Invalidates her Badge" Me: "OH! COME ON!!!!" REALLY?? I hope that I don't get denied anymore badges or I'll freak the hell out... Oh yeah... and Noel... his beasts were just way to fast and these flinches and crits...
  16. Well "Speed Boost" is normally a Hidden Ability which you can't get the normal way... so I assumed you couldn't get it here either by just picking it as your starter, like in the official games. I'm new to all the fan games, and I thought I start with Reborn, because I was told it was challenging as hell, unlike the official games. I picked Torchic/Combusken/Blaziken just because it is my favorite starter of all time (closely followed by Charizard and Greninja). I mean come on... Torchic is cute and cuddly as hell, and Blaziken is a fiery wristed ninja-chicken! But now, after training Aggron and Magneton to Level 54 I was finally able to defeat that sucker... but I think I got lucky that Porygon-Z opened with a Tri-Attack instead of Psychic, which allowed my Blaziken to kill it in one hit. Aggron took care of Swallow easily: 3 times Iron Defence and Automize and it was hopeless Staraptor got 1 Close Combat in reducing it to 1 HP thanks to sturdy... and a second Iron Tail killed it. His Girafarig was killed by my Sandslash and Grumpig (got that Paralyze was annoying...) Clefable was annyoing with it's constant Cosmic Power, Softboiled, Left Overs and Field Healing, but Aggrons Iron Tail and Magnetons Flash Cannon took care of it. Finally I can progress in the Story. I thank you all for the tips and suggestions. I guess this thread can be closed now
  17. Well the thing is: it doesnt have Speed boost. And 1 Psychic still one hit's it even after 5 bulk ups (which I got to pull off)... at least I got him down to just Cleafairy with this. I just need to get a few more levels on Magneton, and maybe an Aggron. And I'm to lazy to do the necessery breeding (it's so darn boring...) I use what I get, If I can't win with something i have, I need another strategy... to bad that the battle items are broken... And please fix the description on the Ice Cream and Cotton Candy! How should I know that Cotton Candy is a friggin Max Revive when I can't even buy normal Revives???
  18. Thanks for all the tips guys Guess I'll give the Blaziken Strategy a few shots... if that doesn't work... I'll have alot of leveling to do God leveling without Lucky Egg is a pain in the b**t...
  19. Thanks mashonem for the infos. Guess I'll train Magneton up to 55 then. As for Lanturn: yeah I realised it that, it just got a really big bunch of HP, but cannot sustain... I had it because i thought i would get Surf soon, and for Ground/Rock/Fire Types. I got the bike myself on accident after I wrote that post... therefore i erased that question... although you still quoted me on it I'll look into the sticker list, thanks for that As for the blocked passage, attached a screenshot (I hope it is big enough to see) The red circled objects block from getting to the pushable rock. I took the screenshot from the left side, because I was just on my way to Noel to train... when you come from the right where the stairs are, the objects block me. edit: forgot to circle the crack below my character... well...^^
  20. Hello fellow Reborn-Trainers, I'm new here and, like the title suggests, I'm currently stuck at the battle with Noel. My team is Level 54-55 (because I can only control up to this), and he still wrecks me, because every attack just does so much damage. He 1-2 hits almost everything I send against him. My Team, with which I currently roll (and up till now pretty well) consists of: Blaziken, Gourgeist, Lanturn, Grumpig, Niovern and Sandslash Since Noel got Normal types with Psychic and his two Birds (Staraptor and Swallow) + 1 Fairy ... Well his Psychic and his Birds wrecks my Blaziken and Gourgeist. Everything else gets wrecked by Porygon-Z Tri-Attack or Hidden Power (or Swallows Facade-Attack) I thought about training a Magnemite into Magnezone, a Klink into Klingklang and a Nosepass into Probopass because of their Steel-Type to reduce damage from Normal, Psychic and Flying attacks. With Magnezone and Probobass being able to kill the birds with Electric and Rock Attacks, and their Steel-Attacks against his Clefairy. I also thought about training Croagunk but since he is fighting/Poison he got a 4x weakness against the Psychic... I don't think thats a grat idea... I read here on the forums that you could evolve Magneton into Magnezone in Shades Gym (the Abandoned Power Plant) but my Magneton already got 3 levels there without evolving... do I have to get in back of the gym? (behind the locked doors) If so, where do I get the key? (There should be Rotom in there in a monitor somewhere which I also want to capture... as far as i read here^^) Yeah, thats were I am stuck... -------- And a few Questions just for the heck of it: (If direct answer is to much of a spoiler... an indirect answer like "you are close, progress further in the story" is enough ... I hate being spoiled in Story terms, and Reborns Story is amazing!) 1. When do I get HM02 - Fly? - All that backtracking is slowly getting really annoying... :/ 2. When/Where will I be able to purchase Hyper Potions? - SuperPotions ans Berry Ice Cream just don't cut it anymore... (If I need Mall-Stickers: Where do I get them? I got 1 for rescuing the boy near Shades Gym...) 3. You can't access the railway from Obsidia/Opal-Ward (east of the grand hall) because the path to the pushable-rock is blocked of by a railroad and another rock... I know not a question but fairly annoying in terms of backtracking... I'm looking forward to your answers and suggestions
