ANNOUNCEMENT! So I finishing mapping, adding sidequests to and bringing life to the biggest city so far in Pokemon Desolation, Blackview. I'm super proud of it and with over 40 houses and 100+ NPC's, it may be one of the biggest city's in fangames (except Reborn City of course, praise Ame). I knew I couldn't post a giant screenshot because I'm anti spoilers, so instead I thought I'd post a few in game screenies to give you some insight into what you might experience in the next Episode. Blackview City, the source of the worlds power, apparently. They call it the 'City of Opportunity', yeah, right. You ponder the thought as you raise your hand against the almost overpowering smog, but your fingers are contorted by the swirls of smoke and your eyes are stung by the saturated air. You hear teenagers laughing to your right followed by a sharp cracking sound, what could that be? Blackview City will be available in Episode 3. Another thing I need to mention, the level cap will not be 40 in Episode 3, but 45. Unfortunately, I try to pack so much into these Episode's that the level cap is rising at a rate that I'm struggling to compete with. This means that the next Episode (Episode 4) may not increase the level cap at all, since it will be mostly set in another urban area anyway... Final thing, Episode 3 is taking a while to finish mostly because I end up being a perfectionist and can't settle for second best anymore. This means that Episode 3 will not drop this month, but I can happily say that: - Episode 3 beta testing will occur mid April - - Episode 3 will officially release in late April - With that, this update is concluded. I have one more update to present but I'm gonna talk about that later. Thanks for the support and stay tuned \o/

Thought you guys could use another announcement, you're welcome :3 Introducing a new main character, one of the more central characters in Episode 3, Tristan! Name: Tristan Occupation: Gym Leader Type Preference: Normal Tristan is an interesting character, at first glance he seems dull, introverted and even pessimistic. This is because Tristan can't fit in with anyone. He's tried everything including joining the Rangers and becoming a Gym Leader yet no one seems to remember him or appreciate his presence. Why? It's because Tristan is completely and utterly normal. Nothing about him stands out as a character and he tries on different personas to mask this. Poor Tristan. You'll be meeting Tristan at the beginning of Episode 3, good luck!

Trainers often have Pokemon they don't battle with. Sometimes we put Pokemon in Pc Boxes and switch them for something else when they're not good enough to take on a Gym Leader for example. Sorry guys, I can't give you a link stone thisss early.

Nope, the first Link Stones will be available in Cellia City which is a part of Episode 4 content, so you've still got a bit of a wait.

I've been planning to add a single ice type event Pokemon to the next Episode in pre Ep 3 content, probably in the Weeping Ruins [:

I didn't promise that typing would be balanced, only that they'd suit the location. I don't see myself finding ice types in a volcano. But yeah you're totally right about Gliscor. Luckily, Gligar does the trick. I don't think she needs a Staraptor after some testing - Gligar is enough.As a side note: The next episode is largely set on an icy peak, so you can probably expect your fair share of some ice types.

Chatot has been replaced with Gliscor and Honchkrow with Staraptor. I'm testing now to see the effects of this. It's likely that Gliscor will instead be a Gligar.

I'm not going to cut Emolga but I have been thinking about replacing her Xatu or Honchkrow with a Gliscor, perhaps even her Chatot.

Here's an announcement that most people wanted to see - REMADE SPRITES! Das right folks, Connor is looking pretty fire, Scarlett's looking kinda... pink? And let's just get into it. Before we begin, the sprites are made by my first and only other team member, Pearl, who's been on vacation for what seems like ever and I couldn't hold this announcement back anymore \o/ First on foremost, Connor: Connor's looking a lot better, a lot less Ferny and more hot headed (whoops). I'm really happy with his new look and I hope you agree. Next up is Scarlett: Scarlett's looking a lot more outgoing. At least now she looks like she finally decided on ONE hair color. Finally we've got Shiv: Big change with Shiv, but this is more of how I imagined him to be. He has an arrogant personality, but holds an air of mystery to him at the same time. There's also some smaller sprite changes, such as new villagers: Big thanks to Pearl who was a huge help with these, also you might be seeing some new protagonists soon! While I'm at it, I've added a 'Recent Updates' tab on the original post so you don't miss an update. Once your dog evolves it will start killing everything ._. I can confirm a Shiny Stone is not in Episode 3, but will be in Episode 4. You'll have to wait :'(

I dont believe that ill buff Aderyn, and if I do, it will only be slight. The Pokemon that people generally use to beat Aderyn are other Pokemon that they have to work to get to some degree. That's what I want, as awhile ago I said that Aderyn is a Gym Leader built upon preparation, that if you're prepared you shouldn't have much trouble with her.

Taillow won't be a starter, but it is going to be replacing Starly. Either you made a legendary guess or you're lucky [:

Lemonade can be bought from a vending machine in a house in Celeste City. A Leaf stone can be found in Keneph Jungle - it's a hidden item. There is currently no EXP Share. I've already been considering axing Starly, RIP everyone here.

But... Paint is gr8 m8, it's probably the most used tool for spriting because of its simplicity. But it's just a tedious task of having to make the background transparent as you have to use another program. To answer the question: Use gimp to make the background transparent like Commander said. The reason it's pixelated is because you probably saved it as a JPG, which is a big no no. Always save your sprites as a .png!

Yes. Use Winzip or some other .rar opening tool to extract the game. Uploading as a .rar compresses the game and is a lot more preferable then uploading an entire folder.

The Jar of Paint is a one use item that changes your Pokemon to shiny form. There's no way to revert that at the moment. Bottle of water confirmed @Sandy - Episode 3 is still quite a while away, coming at the end of March most likely. If you have time to complete the game up to it's current point then sure, go ahead.

I actually don't think there is a Water Stone in the game yet. There is a Fire Stone and a Leaf Stone but I'm pretty sure I haven't added one into Episode 2. There is one in the upcoming episode 3 though. Keep your eyes out for an announcement ~

No worries, I change up music quite frequently since I think the right music super important for a game so it'll probably be changed at some point.

Definitely the Johto starters. Asides from that, Gallade, Arcanine and Kingdra deserve one. Perhaps Roserade, Bronzong, Staraptor and Luxray. Finally, Metapod.

I don't know how you came to this conclusion because there is no official ripped undertale music in the game whatsoever. The only track that has reference to undertale is the rival battle music, which is a rock remix of "Hopes and Dreams", found here.
