I can see Celica running Renewal and Ragnarok - the only problem that poses is that is that Renew is a B skill - so no Vantage/QR/Desperation/-breaker for her. Sol is just an iffy proc skill and running it means she can't Moonbow off of her Full Ragnarok effect. Just give me Elise, Genny, and a staff with decent might. #HorseEmblem. For defensive mages, like Boey should be, Owl tomes are considerable. Nukes like Linde and Julia may want the movement freedom and thus blades are better for them. --- I joined Leo, because I thought it would be a good round one matchup with Henry and I joined him last time in the Prince(ss) Gauntlet. It'a a good one. Leo was one of the most popular characters in Fates in Japan. And Henry has a likeable personality and is from Awakening. Title and Band name is appropriate.

Okay. I understand the timing aspect in relation to things like Russia - but let me point something out. "Americans don't trust Trump for firing the person that got him elected." 1. It takes more than a bunch of Russians and an incompetent FBI Director to cause someone to win an election. The man had a ton of votes. And arguably would have won the popular vote if California wasn't a liberal bastion that held so many citizens and voted later in the Election Day. 2. If Clinton would have won - would she not have fired Comey as well, due to him poking around in her personal life and then telling everyone in America he was doing so? Trump's opponent wasn't a saint. 3. Comey SHOULD have been fired regardless - because he WAS incompetent. That kind of response just proves what I said. Trump could do the RIGHT thing and people would find a reason to hate him for it. I don't care if Trump is impeached. I didn't vote for him. I'm just not ignorant enough to blindly follow partisan rage just because I hate someone.

Upcoming Celica Banner. Units: Celica(duh), Boey, Mae, Genny Celica is a Red Magic user in this game (it's kinda funny seeing her lugging tomes around.) Ragnarok (M:14) is her new tome. If she attacks with 100% HP her Attack and speed are boosted by 5. Gaiden magic is also parodied here, as Ragnarok will also cost 5 HP each cast. Blazing Light is her combat proc. AoE - huge cool down. Not all that cool. Distant Def is a new A skill. If she's attacked by Bows, Daggers, or Magic she will get plus 6 Def and Res. Spur Def. Boey is a green tome user and his kit. Is HELLA defensive. This is true to Boey in Gaiden and his title in Heroes is "Skillful Survivor. Gronnowl (M:10) is the green variant of a new tome series. Essentially, you get stat boosts by number of adjacent allies times two. Good for defensive formations. Ignis. Could work really well for Boey. Earth Boost is a new passive. If a unit has 3 or more HP than opponent their defense is boosted by six. Boey is already tanky in nature so this is also good for him. Renewal. Because HE WILL SURVIVE~ Mae is a blue tome user and is offensive in comparison to Boey - both in Gaiden and Heroes. She seems to be an alternative to Linde Blarowl (M:10) is the blue variant of the adjacent allies stat boost tome. It may not work as well for Mae as it does Boey because it forces a partner at least to follow her around. Draw Back as a command is great for Mae. Hit. Get the heck out. This makes her a pain in the ass for Knights or units that may need to stand on a tile the whole time. Desperation! Can't spell meta without Mae! Good for her and good for all who need Despy fodder. Blue Tome Experience. Meh. Genny is the most interesting healer that will be available. Ever. Gravity (M:6) - Freeze! Physic - Heal from range. Heavenly Light (AoE Heal) WRATHFUL. STAFF. is a passive for healers that reads "damage from units staff will be calculated SAME AS OTHER WEAPONS." This makes Genny a decent infantry healer. And will be a highly sought after inheritance fodder. Healers just got scary.

So - thanks to the huge feather dump I had a choice to make. 5* Tharja 5* Ursula -or- 5* Xander. I chose Xander. Tharja isn't going to get an upgrade when she's a focus unit and Ursula needs more SP beforehand. Now Xander has his Siegfried. And holy cats (as Charlotte would say) it is the reason to promote Xander.

The game is in full VA The Villagers are hilarious. At least those from the starting village. Mycen is best Jagen. GIB ME GAIM NAO

Green Tomebreaker is good on a Fury/TA Julia because it allows your offensive Julia to handle Nino, Cecilia, and opposing Julia. You could also go Quick Riposte on Offense!Julia to make her more threatening to Takumi and other Colorless, but Green tome coverage is spotty. Are you running LnD in A? You could also make Julia a supporter with Wings of Mercy at B and Breath of Life at C. Naga will still really hurt Dragons and Support Julia can really mess up folks in Arena Defense. This Julia likes Reciprocal Aid as she would swap her HP with a frontliner. If you want Support!Julia, go with HP+3.

Congrats on Titania! I happen to like all of Misty Lee's VA contributions in Heroes. She seems like she can pull off Titania, even though she seems more fitting for Camilla and Ursula. I also just happen to like Misty Lee. Cool human being. I forgot Armads existed and was ticked about how rotten my luck was. :c Speaking of Ursula. She's back. Make sure you pick up the extra 3 star Ursula by doing the Anna quest.

Except it's not. Trump was able to successfully place Neil Gorsuch on the Supreme Court. He was able to get a very unpopular healthcare reform bill through the House. He was able to send messages to the right enemies in Syria and North Korea. Was it as all as soon as possible? Absolutely not - and while a major part of that is that Democrats want nothing to do with him and are intentionally stalling - that is on his shoulders too. It's not his job to confirm his own nominees - or it wouldn't be taking so long to get them confirmed. I don't think competence is his issue. If you think too many people watch Fox, it doesn't hold a candle to how many people watch late night television where the President is the only thing people joke about. It doesn't matter if Trump is your favorite punching bag. Government is a group effort in the US. Isn't that what Obama supporters alluded to when Republicans were merely the bratty opposition party? --- As for this firing, I will say that if it is indeed a cover-up - it is very Nixonian and it should increase his chances of impeachment. Trump's undoing will be protecting his own hide if it comes to be. It may very well be what Trump claims it is - and it helps that EVERYONE had a bone to pick with Comey. The difference in this with Nixon. - Trump has more friends in D.C. - Firing Comey should under normal circumstances be considered an apolitical, common sense decision. --- I find it very one-track minded to not be happy about Comey being ousted. The biggest "outrage" seems to be coming from people that would complain if Trump cured cancer or made war obsolete. This #Resist mentality is below disliking policy. And that's just as troublesome as having a President that looks after himself first. Next - you'll see a humanitarian champion be spat on because of something some old guy said after his 50 minute spiel on free tuition.
-
"Ya Fired." One of the President's catchphrases was employed against one of the most hated men in America. The guy formerly in charge of the Federal Investigation Bureau - James Comey. Comey will be seen in history as one of the most political FBI heads. He first - publicly - suggested that Hillary Clinton not be charged with information negligence by the Department of Justice over her email scandal. This angered conservatives and rebuffed liberals. He then - DAYS before the presidential election - publicly of course - reopened the investigation - flipping joy and anger between the poles of the spectrum and putting a serious hole in Clinton's momentum. More in the now, Comey opened and took charge of an investigation into President Trump's ties to Russia and the Russians' possible tampering with the election. --- Unanimously - Americans think Comey wasn't fit to lead the Bureau. Be it Attorney General Loretta Lynch or Jeff Sessions, Comey overstepped boundaries with the DOJ. However it may be a matter of timing that makes this a red flag. Trump becomes able to attempt to find a loyalist FBI head that "favors" Trump in the Russia investigation. Is it a conspiracy, or is Trump using this opportunity to "drain the swamp" and removing an easy target?

Spent Money. Didn't get a single banner unit. Cussed quite a bit. Got over it. Going on tilt with the Gacha stuff is WHY you try to free play this game. Rather than getting a five star banner unit, I got a 5* Hawkeye, who I sacked, and ANOTHER. CORDELIA. Tom, why does your waifu keep bugging me man. Tell her to stop. --- New pulls Roy - I was quite happy with this. Triangle Adept 3 without having my banner appearance rate docked is a blessing. I also now have three cutscenes (Roy, Robin, Camilla.) Fae - Renewal 3. Camilla or Effie will be happy. Sheena - FINALLY. Lon'qu - Vantage 3. Schweet. --- SI shinanigans Camilla now owns a Killer Axe+ Hinoka now has TA3 and Killer Lance+ Xander has Threaten Attack Hector has Quick Riposte Ryoma has Vantage

I actually don't think Dance4XP is needed due to how in Heroes, dancers are actually FANTASTIC units, whereas in their home games they have a tendency to be frail and unable to sustain combat relevance outside of their refreshing role. Olivia - the free unit - is admittedly the worst example, but with Hone Attack in stock she just needs someone's Ruby Sword or Triangle Adept or something and she will have three roles. That's pretty great all things considered. Azura is the physical embodiment of a nuclear bomb. Fates Waifu Is the bomb. Ninian isn't dying. And can get Lightning Breath to attack from range. A dancing Nowi. --- 5. Make infantry healers slightly stronger Might-wise. Elise, Clarine, and Priscilla with Pain is like the best healer you can get - and only because of their ability to nurture training wheel units. 4. Daily Orbs please. Keep everyone pulling. 3. Finish the story so Veronica-sama can join Order of Heroes. (SHES MY FAVORITE.) 2. Make feathers story rewards on Lunatic difficulty alongside orbs on the first playthrough. 1. Add new Heroes regularly. Like. Not Lords and promotional ones (Looking at you Bunmilla and Alm.) Give is shitty units. Like Charlotte and Benny. Or every Christmas Knight ever.

"Hunter..." - Select Ame's LEAST favorite starter Pokémon at the start of the game.

Let's theorybuild a different unit, eh? Prince Alfonse of Askr. "Highlights" here is a scrappy slugger who as a Lord resembles Chrom more than Marth. His A slot skill stock is Death Blow, which is really good, and at five stars he can wield Folkvangr, which is a blade worthy of being wielded by a Lord at 16 might. The premise behind Alfonse is that the prince gets better as the battle rages on. Folkvangr is a 16 might sword with Defiant Attack 2 built into it. Defiant skills trigger when a unit is below 50 percent of their HP. Personal Weapon+Death Blow will make Alfonse a very strong swordsman - and his ability to take physical hits makes Folkvangr viable. The biggest reason Alfonse may be the least popular of the Askrians (other than being a dude in a woman's world) is his poor speed. Doubling is not going to happen to compliment Alfonse' power often and he'll be worried about faster opponents breaking through his bulk with their ability to double him. His proc, Sol, is also not helpful to Folkvangr Alfonse builds because Sol's healing brings him over 50 percent HP. Let's go. Folkvangr (5*) Ardent Sacrifice/Aid (Florina/Donny) Reprisal/Luna/Draconic Aura (several) A - Death Blow (Alfonse) B - Brash Assualt (Bartre) C - Threaten Def (Peri) Folkvangr Reposition (Selena) Reprisal/Luna/Draconic Aura A - Fury (Bartre/Hinata) B - Vantage (Lonqu) C - Threaten Def Folkvangr Sac/Aid Reprisal/Luna/Draconic Aura A - Triangle Adept (Selena, Cordelia) B - Sword-breaker (Abel, Sully) C - Threaten Def 1st Set allows Alfonse to keep Death Blow and focus on initiating combat while still being able to trigger Folkvangr's effect and causing lots of pain. 2nd Set allows him to be good throughout all phases and run a positioning command. 3rd Set allows Alfonse to be a dedicated green-Killer and handle other swords while still able to self trigger Folkvangr.

You won't need to max out LnD if you are running Gronblade+stat boosting allies Fury is pretty great because the extra res helps her laugh off Blue mages who will still cause damage - and then cause more when Nino pays up for engagement. Blues should easily get her in Despy range with Fury and you could then run a positioning skill over HP share.
-
Desperation is a MUST for units like Nino and Tharja that hit really fast and really hard. If running a Desperation set, you have two options for A. - Fury Fury makes Nino hit harder among other things while sapping 4 HP in exchange post-combat. This is a good thing for Despy attackers because that will safely get them in range to trigger Desperation. You can get this skill from some common pulls like Hinata and Bartre. - Life and Death Want speed AND power? LnD gets you a lot of it in exchange for making Nino even more fragile. What's great about this skill is that Hana is a free unit that you can get easily through the dailies. This isn't a great partner for Desperation, but it patches up your power and you can always run Ardent Sac or Reciprocal Aid to compensate in your command skill slot. --- I actually outfitted my Ryoma with a LnD set. Raijinto (no command yet) Astra A-Life and Death B-Swordbreaker C-Hone Speed if Nino doesn't want Despy, a Green Tomebreaker from Henry (I think) could help.
-
Nino can't do her best If she can't go fast. Her bladetome will make most Ninos overkill when appropriately supported.
-
Wary Fighter is a passive skill. Drag Back is a command skill. I think Effie could have both. Unless I'm mistaken. If I were you? Xander or getting Blarblade for Ursula.
-
I've put some change in. I went all in and bought the 140 something orb pack when Hero Fest dropped. I got plenty of inheretance units, Azura, and Hector. The value of Heroes for me isn't in the game itself. If your primary entertainment from it comes from beating challenges and the combat aspect - by all means, the game has everything you need to play for free and don't spend. Summoning sessions tend to be the most fun I have playing Heroes. I like to collect the units and I like the gamble of picking a stone and letting the RNG play out. I also really like building units with Skill Inheretance. Collectors and serious unit builders will have a much, much better experience if they seriously consider spending some cash to gather units to work with.

I hate Subaki. Quick Riposte. Subaki doesn't deserve to be in anyone's Heroes army. Nobody needs that negativity in their life. How do people run Tharja? I haven't messed with her base kit much.
-
DBM, your Ephraim has Distant Counter? The main reason people run QR over Vantage is because Vantage needs Xander to lose HP before it procs - and because it allows slow units with distant counters (Ike, Hector, Xander) to threaten mages (that otherwise really fry those no Res slowpokes) IMMEDIATELY. Vantage does the same job - but you may need to let Xander take damage or run Aid/Sacrifice over Reposition to safely get Xander to Vantage range. It takes more work.
-
Maaaaaaaaaaaan. I pull on the Xander banner after getting 5 free orbs. 5* Lind-NO. It just had to be Cordelia. At least I can give someone Triangle Adept now. It would probably be a blue unit of some kind. On second thought: Camilla probably would like Triangle Adept if she wants to keep Brave. She essentially is trading more Quads with Darting Blow for more damage against Blues. She can laugh off blue mages with it and her good Res.... Hmm....

Kricketune. Mightyena. Ursaring. Unfeazant. Magmar. Diggersby. Its been a while.

I wish Moonbow didn't exist personally. And I really like watching Azura make heads roll with it. It probably does proc a mite too often. There are a few different things out there. It's just narrowed by unit type. 1. Fast melee units generally have the most leeway with proc skills and run Moonbow because overkill doubling makes for a ton a matchup wins. 2. Slow melee units generally go Luna as Commander offered (I suggested Moonbow because Xander will always at least counter thanks to Siegfried and QR/BA negates issues from speed due to increasing Xander's actions per turn.) 3. Ike - thanks to heavy blade - is able to run Aether. 4. Takumi and Tharja can work with Vengeance (though the latter doesn't want to lean on it.) 5. Defensive procs (Aeg/Pav) actually proc a lot. But they are not very fun. 6. Sol works on beefier lords and the like - but matches at the moment are too short and Arena matches especially are so (at least. The ones I've done are...) This very well could change.
-
The reason Moonbow is so good in Arena is the nature of the game's battling. Matches go by too fast to proc things at times. It's better than a lot of prominent Fire Emblem skills in the way that it is almost always going off. It's so good, that even supporting units like Azura become risky targets. Sol can still find use on even defense units because damages seem unavoidable. You just might want a Killer weapon or something on hand to make sure it goes off more than twice a match. Xander may also really like Ignis. However. It's also got a somewhat large cool down. He also is a good candidate for Brash Assault because he is beefy and could run things - as other units can - like Reciprocal Aid or Ardent Sacrifice to get his HP down to that point without dying or risking it. Passive healers make good use out of Brash Assault. Especially if they are slower. @Commander Abel? Cain is a sword cavalier. His brother and other Christmas Knight, Abel, wields a lance. That being said, I'm not remembering if it's a brace lance or not.
