Is arriving five minutes early to church not plenty of time?
I don't like being late, but calling five minutes early to an event late seems patently absurd.

Is it your family that's saying that or church officials? Are any of your family members involved in worship teams (choirs, bands), or serving teams (tithe/offering/connection card collection, communion)?
Technically - most churches I've gone to have an opening music number that lets the congregation know it is time for the service that lasts 2 or 3 minutes after the beginning of church. 5 minutes early - assuming you are just there to worship and aren't connected to any ministry teams - is 7 minutes early.

CinemaSins' "Everything Wrong With [Movie Title]" series. One of the sins is having an antagonist eat an apple in a scene. It happens so much the channel has considered it a trope that apples make bad guys look more evil, so Jeremy, the voice over the videos, calls it a sin to have your antagonist eat an apple, and says something along the lines of what my status reads out to be. This is also seen in spin-offs regarding other forms of media.

So, do we get to make a character in Echos, like Robin or Corrin, or are we going to follow around a main character like in Sacred Stones? I'm trying to go in as spoiler free as possible (I haven't even watched the trailer yet) so that's why I'm unsure. I figure someone here probably knows.

There is nothing out there that suggests a playable Avatar will be in the game - and if it's holding a little more true to Gaiden than it is trying to be it's own thing, it's much more likely Alm and Celica are the Lords and you will be following their adventures like you would Lyn, Eliwood, and Hector.
